Hi everyone, my name is Arena, and I'm LA helper and coordinator, and welcome to our live session with Laara Silva. And today's session is mostly, uh, concentrated on healing questions, but of course, if you have any other questions, please do not hesitate and ask them. So, the idea for the meetings like that is mostly to get to ask your questions from LA and get guidance and get help exactly on the situation what you have. So, if there will be need, if we see that there's a need, we are planning to do the meetings like that on a monthly basis, but again, it's mostly depending if you're going to be participating and asking questions.

So, um, usually how we run the meetings like that, how I would suggest to run meetings like that, we give, um, priority to those who participate live. So, if you want to ask your question, please raise your hand. It's usually very easy to find how to raise your hand, or you just can hold it like that, and, uh, Zoom will see that you're raising your hand. So then, you can ask your question. You can switch on your microphone. You don't have to switch on your camera if you don't want to show your face. That's totally fine with us. And then we, I was sending a survey, but we only have one comment from Donna. So there are no questions from, uh, from other participants, and then you can ask any questions. I hope that's clear. Lara, you can add, and welcome, Lara.

>> Well, thank you. I'm so happy to be here. But I just want to make one correction. You're not my helper. You are in, you are basically in charge of Silva method. We're moving forward in this manner as we have created and done so for so many years. And I am just, I am now your helper. I am here to help out in any way I can and be relevant in a sense where I, where you know that I'm here still to satisfy your needs and help you to achieve your outcomes, meet your goals successfully, manifest what you want to manifest, and really continue to grow and evolve in the ways that we've talked about so much. So, I'm here for you all the time. And I do want this to be very interactive and for us to have an exchange of questions and things that you may still need more information on, or just to have more confidence and build more confidence, and basically get a better understanding of how to achieve everything that you want to achieve.

So, ask away. Uh, before you start asking me questions, you have the little chat box on the side. If you just go down to the bottom of your screen and bring out the menu and you see 'chat,' you can ask questions there. And you can also ask questions, um, through the Zoom call as well. So, by all means, either way you want. I'm so happy to see so many of you. Patty Lee, Elaine. Oh my god, so good to see you. And Kathy and Stanislava, you know, of course, Ena, all of you, we're right here. And, uh, let's, uh, continue to grow together. Um, during, um, just these past weeks, and maybe more than that, of course, just putting some thought into some of the things that I would want to always reinforce with you as practitioners of yourself, practitioners of your personal evolution, and, uh, I find that to be the most important in every way. I think if there was anything that we could literally work on always, it is to be able to continue to grow and evolve, to ask yourself those questions. How do I become the person I want to be? How do I become the person that I feel and believe inside of me needs to be that person? How, how do I become that person, and to the point that I really, really love myself, have a great relationship with myself, respect, admire, and appreciate me? You want to get to the point where everything about you, you really and truly enjoy, and you are so satisfied about.

So when you break that down, when you break down that whole concept about how do I become fulfilled and the person I love, admire, respect, and appreciate, you're going to have to ask more questions. How, and I think some of the most important questions to ask, is how do I become authentic and transparent? And that's a big job, because to become authentic and transparent means that you have to confront your shadowy sides. Confront your own personal creative demons. Confront all, you know, either your pains or your traumas from the past. Overcome all those kinds of things and be able to really take one thing at a time, as the prayer, so that you can become again that person that you love fully and completely. If you don't like something about the way you look or are, then you're going to work on how you look or you are. If you don't care about your weight, or you know that you need to reduce it, then you're going to reduce it. If you want to become more appealing as far as how your looks are concerned, well then, you're going to become that person. You're going to work out, you're going to fix your hair, you're going to dress up, you're going to whatever it might be. If you feel like you're too shy, well then, you're going to find ways to open up and become more outgoing, more communicative. Not if you are afraid of what goes wrong, or afraid because you're not as good, well then, you're going to become the person who is not afraid. So all these little things only come from you asking the questions.

And what I like so much, or I love so much, about the Silva method: It's all about problemolving. It's all about healing. Problemo-solving heals. Healing is problemolving. It's all about being able to become the person that you want to become. If you are ill, you need to heal. If you are afraid, you need to confront your fears. If you are poor, you need to find ways to generate more income. If you are whatever it is, and there are tools for every single thing that may come to light. And we want to make things simple in our lives. We don't want to over complicate them. There is no joy in complicating your situation in life. There's no happiness in that. There's no happiness and joy. No true happiness and joy ever comes from being special because you are problematic, ill, or have any kind of challenges. That doesn't make you special. That makes you sick, a person with a problem, a person that has challenges. That's nothing special about that. What is special is to be healthy, vibrant, happy, filled with love, enjoying life, living with abundance, being who you really want to be and dreamed to be. That's what makes you special: to find your true self and allow it to shine. So, what do you need to become that person that has it all? What questions do you need to ask? Where can you heal? And, of course, that's what I want us to always focus on as we ask the more detailed questions about the techniques, about how do I achieve this and that and the other. The basic thing is: how do I become fulfilled in the best ways possible and have it all?

Okay. Kathy has a question about describing the glove anesthesia and what does or should it feel like. So, let's start with that. Okay. And then we'll make it, uh, we'll take it from there.

The glove anesthesia is a technique, a formula-type technique, that you're going to follow a series of steps in order, which is the formula, to achieve an outcome. It incorporates what we call the pain, uh, gate theory, in a sense, which means that the body can only experience one direct stimulus at a time. If you get a pain, let's say on your right foot, and then because maybe you stumped it or bumped it or whatever, somebody stepped on it and it hurts, and you're focusing on that throbbing pain in your right foot, but then somebody comes and steps on your left foot, then all of a sudden, what happens to that pain on the right foot? It becomes diminished or gone because now all your focus and attention goes to the left foot. So, basically, in a very simplified manner, that's basically what we call this, the pain, the gate pain theory, or the pain gate theory, which means you can only focus on one thing at a time, fully and completely. Now, the glove anesthesia incorporates that because what we do in glove anesthesia is that we go into a very deep level of mind, which means also a slower frequency of brain. In this particular technique, we want you to go as deep as you can and still maintain some kind of consciousness. So, in the exercise that you may experience, or if you're going to do this on your own, you want to go into a very deep meditation. Get very, very relaxed within, and then you're going to command yourself, or tell yourself, suggest to yourself, to drop, to drop your stronger of the two hands. For me, it's my right hand, into an imaginary container of icy cold water by your side. Let me see. Hot water, right, first. Hot water. Hot water by your side. Now, you want to do that so that you can begin to experience, to recognize that you can experience temperature changes in your body by simply suggesting it to yourself and using your imagination along the way. So when you do this with your imagination and you drop your hand into an imaginary container of very, very, very hot water, you can stand it, but it's very, very, very hot, almost to the point of being unbearable. Now, you've had your hand in hot water before. We all have, where you put your hand, maybe the faucet was on at full heat, and then someone turned it off, and you turn it on not knowing that, and when you put your hand under the water, it goes, 'Ah!' and it's so hot, hot, hot, or when you're heating up water or spilling coffee. We've all had a multitude of experiences where we can bring back to memory how it feels to experience something so, so almost nearly unbearably hot. Yes. Now, you're going to leave your hand in that hot water for a few moments so that you can experience what heat feels like. And in all actuality, when people go through these experiments or these, uh, meditations, and are, uh, through experimental purposes, the body can literally raise the temperature of the hand that is imagined to be in hot, hot water. So, we already know that we can influence our body through suggestions and imagery.

Now, you take out your hand from the hot water and rest it on your lap. Then, you're going to do the opposite with your less strong of the two hands. You're going to drop it into an imaginary container of icy, icy, icy, cold, cold water. It already makes me feel cold by just thinking that. I remember in very, very hot summer days, when we're having a picnic, and when you take your ice chest out to the picnic, and it's filled with cold, refreshing sodas or water or even beer or whatever it might be, and you want to reach into an ice chest to select one of those three things, but you're not quite sure where it is. So, you're searching, and you're moving your hand, and you're searching through the ice, and your hand gets numb and cold and colder. It's almost so unbearably cold as you're searching and searching for the right beverage that you're looking for. And you have to move the ice all over the place, and it's not this one. And you take out an item. 'Oh, I don't want any beer.' So, you put it back in. 'I want water.' And you keep searching, and then, 'Oh, I don't want a soda.' You put your hand back into the icy cold water, and all along, it's colder and colder. Yes, you all can remember that. Yeah. Okay. You want to keep your hand in that position, downward, in this icy cold container with cracked ice between your fingers, so that in your imagination, you allow the hand to get colder and colder to the point that you remember that sometimes it feels so cold in the ice that it even feels numb. So when you get that whole sensation of that cold numbing effect, and during the mental exercise, we usually do that by keeping your hand in the water longer and going over memory pegs. Memory peg number one: T. Memory peg number two: Noah. Memory peg number three: May. And we describe the images so that by the time you get to 10, your hand has been in this icy cold water, facing downward, for a long time. Then you're instructed to get your hand out of the icy cold water and feel in your imagination how numbness feels, how that cold numbing feeling feels on your hand. When you do this and you focus on that, and you create and bring back that sensation, that's the beginning of creating that, that was going to be the illusion of the pain gate theory, where you're going to put so much emphasis and attention on a numb, cold hand. And you might even try to open and close your hand, you know, and you remember how it feels to barely be able to do so because your hand is so cold, and it feels so odd and numb, and it feels different and strange, like you don't even have a hand, maybe. So that's what you want to bring back during the meditation, during the exercise, with your imagination and memory. So that then, when you have the sensation on your hand, that's going to be what you're going to focus on anytime you do need to use it because you have a pain. Let's say I have a pain in my shoulder, because once you've impressed it, it's already there. This is what you're going to call glove anesthesia. Whatever it is that you're feeling, in whatever way that you feel it, and do your best to focus on creating that sensation when you create it. No matter what it is, to what extent it may feel or be, that's gloesia, okay? And that's what you're going to remember anytime you need to apply it.

So that, let's say you're working around, you know, during the house, doing your chores or whatever may happen, and you really do hurt yourself. They say you hurt yourself so badly that it hurts so much. You go, 'Ow!' And you're like, 'Oh, it hurts. It hurts. It hurts.' Don't just say, 'It hurts. It hurts. It hurts.' Don't put attention on the pain at that moment in time. You put attention on the glove anesthesia, on the hand feeling numb. And then you transfer that sensation of numbness and focus all your attention on how the hand that is numb is removing and eliminating and lessening and diminishing the pain that you might be experiencing, and you say, 'Gone, gone, gone, gone, gone, gone, gone, gone,' until the discomfort is gone. I actually feel my hand cold and feel it. This is a very thin blouse. I can feel the coldness going through. And really focus on the hand numbness, the numbing, numbing hand over the discomfort, and creating that same sensation of being numb and not feeling the discomfort at all by saying the word 'gone.' You practice this on several occasions, reinforcing the strength of the glove anesthesia through time as you practice it. The more you practice the glove anesthesia, which is called safe self-pain management. As the more you practice the application of glove anesthesia wherever it might be in your body, then you can transfer the anesthesia from one hand to the other by placing one hand over the other. And, basically, what you're doing is that you're giving, let's say, permission, allowance, for now this hand to also be able to do the same, give you the same benefits of glove anesthesia, because you already know what it feels like on this hand. You can immediately know how to create that same sensation on the other hand so that you can use it on other parts of your body that you may have discomfort in and be able to use either hand as anesthesia, together with the words 'gone, gone, gone.' Now, those two things are going to be what's going to interrupt the pain message that your body may be transmitting to your brain when you hurt yourself, bump yourself, cut yourself, even when you're bleeding. And you can stop the bleeding by doing basically the same thing. Gone, gone, gone, gone, gone, gone, gone. And you just numb it, numb it, numb it, numb it, numb it. If you cut your finger or whatever it is, and you say, 'Gone, gone, gone,' and expect it to be gone. Okay, the expectation is a belief of conviction. Remember that. So you can see how many, there are a lot of different elements that are playing a role here in ganesthesia. Whether it's a pain gate theory, which is where attention goes, that's where your energy goes to. Um, whether it's going to be the utilization and the power of mind over body, mind-management over body management. I mean, there's a lot of things that are playing a role here. And again, once you continue to reinforce these applications through use, then eventually, basically, when you have any kind of discomfort and you focus on it, and when you start just simply saying the word 'gone,' the 'gone' becomes the focal message point, or the what you're going to focus on more than anything. The power, uh, word or statement that is going to overwrite the pain itself. So if I had a discomfort and I felt it, I just say, 'Gone, gone, gone, gone, gone, gone, gone, gone.' And then, obviously, with that, you're going to bring in imagery. You're going to be intentional. You're going to bring in the belief of conviction, which is expectation. All these elements play into a role, and you literally are going to manage the pain that you are experiencing. Minimize it and really eliminate it. This is really a very powerful tool because you really can learn to release the chemistry that your body can create and utilize for healing and for pain management. But until you start to apply this tool and you are consistent with it, and you focus on those things, especially the strength of the imagination that you're utilizing to create the numbness, the transference of the numbness to one hand to the other, the transference of the numbness to different parts of your body, the reinforcement of the word 'gone, gone, gone, gone.' The expectation that it is going to be gone. The consistency of the application so that the application gets more powerful and stronger through time. The ability and the knowledge and knowing that you can release chemistry into your body. The understanding that you can only experience one discomfort at the same time.

I often give you the example of a grandparent because I have witnessed this so many times, not with myself because I know better, but as a younger person, I used to see my uncle. I had an uncle who was so much of a complainer, a hypochondriac, complained all the time about everything. He always had a pain to complain about. But the moment the grandchildren walked into his room or his house, he forgot about everything. He loved his grandchildren. He would run up to them. He would carry them, lift them in the air, run around, spin around with them. And he was barely walking the second before they walked in. What happened? And you've all seen that. You've all experienced that. All of a sudden, the pain is gone because your focus is totally on something totally more powerful than the pain itself. And of course, in this case, it was a love for the grandchild or the grandchildren. And so, all of a sudden, you're doing things you didn't know you could do. You're moving in ways you didn't know you could move. You're running around and jumping and chasing them. And it's just a wondrous thing that we need to always remember. Your body is powerful. Your mind is extremely powerful. Your needs are powerful. Your desires, your beliefs are powerful. Imagery is powerful. Your body is a magnificent, incredible, uh, machine. I don't want to call it a machine, but it can do so many miraculous things. I love to see, and I subscribe to all those different kinds of applications that show you how the body works, and it shows you like AI versions of how the body is operating, and all the little incredible, miraculous things the body can do that obviously we just take for granted because we're not overseeing that. We're not orchestrating it. It just, we just take things for granted, how many times our heart beats, and the little crystallines that are in our inner ear to keep our balance and our gravity, you know, in check, and the way our muscles and tendons move. The other day I finally understood what a diaphragm was, you know, like, I'm 72 years old. I said, 'What the hell is a diaphragm?' And then I saw it. I said, 'Oh my god, that's incredible!' And so, my point here is that your body is a miracle machine, and it runs by what you tell it to do when you get engaged and involved in the process. So this whole concept of the glove anesthesia is a powerful concept that you are given as a tool to be able to strengthen not only your knowledge awareness, but the application, the power of your body that your body has to heal and be healthy for always, because you are the commander of this, and this gives you the process that you begin with. And then you begin to wean off. And then by simply desiring, at the moment you begin to feel anything, desiring it to be gone. The body begins to get into motion to eliminate it, and you begin to be in this wonderful dance of health as you practice this through time.

Does this help, Kathy?

>> Yeah.

Yes. Um, so we have to practice it over time so that when we need it, we can do it easily.

>> Yes. Anything, like anything else, once it's impressed, because the meditation helps you to impress the process and the strategy, basically the application of it. But once it's impressed, then it's always in there. Just remember that you are a powerful, you know, being, and that information is always in there, and it's when times of need that everything starts to click, to click there, you know, click for you, and that's when you apply it. Just remember the things that we just discussed right now: The power that you have as a body to heal itself. The power of your mind to give commandments to yourself and guide the body in the process. The pain gate theory approach. You know, the imagination playing a role. The expectation of belief that you will heal, and you can, and you're capable and able. All these things play a role as you do this one simple thing. Gone, gone, gone, gone, gone. Because the more you do this, and you begin to get or experience evidence, the more you're going to recognize, 'I can do this.' And I've done it many times before without even thinking. Unconscious competence, we call that. And so, you are very competent in so many ways. Just be more conscious about how competent you are in your own healing abilities because you've done it so many times before without even recognizing it. And so, the more you apply it, the stronger you reinforce it, and it gets easier and easier, and by just the intention alone, it is going to trigger the beginning of the healing process and the elimination of the pain discomfort.

>> That's perfect. Thank you.

>> You bet.

I mean, I really have to say, even Mel and I practice this all the time. I mean, for being our age, we're very fit. We don't experience pain. You know, we run, exercise, do weights, do yoga. You know, we're very active people, and we don't take aspirins, we don't take medicines for like pain or healing, nothing like that, you know. So, um, I think, you know, it's quite good. Today, I was jogging. I was doing my usual jog in the morning, and our healthcare tech, our doctor, lives in the same neighborhood just further down the road, and I often run into him, and he's just like, 'You know, keep on going,' you know, and I was enjoying whenever I go for just checkups because now you have to go for checkups in order for Medicare to, I guess, to be, um, acknowledged or whatever, approved or what have you. It's a must. But every time I go to get the checkups, I always love to hear him say, you know, when he records his, um, his, uh, documentation, 'A very healthy 72-year-old woman who is,' you know, and it goes on and on and on and on. I said, 'I love to hear that!' So again, yes, the more you use the body, which I always learned a long, long time ago, the one machine that gets better with use is your body. Everything else breaks down with use, but the human body is the only machine that gets better with use. So remember that. Okay. All right. Questions on that?

>> Yes, we have two more questions on glove anesthesia, actually. So I want to wrap up the glove anesthesia.

>> Okay, Patty, is that part of glo anesthesia? If not, then, uh, Patty might be next because I think if we finish glove anesthesia, then we move on. Okay. Yeah. The one from you. Uhhuh.

I just wanted to make that one comment. Laura and I have a mutual friend, Neil Bours.

>> Oh, yes.

And, um, when I knew Neil back when I lived in Atlanta, and he lived in Atlanta, the way I was introduced to Silva was he was talking about on his talk radio show that he had, uh, an infected tooth or whatever, and he needed to have a root canal. And he used glove anesthesia at the dentist office for the entire, um, root canal procedure. They didn't give him any medication. He didn't feel a thing. And I thought, 'Oh my goodness, I've got to know how to do that!'

Yeah. And so, if a just a regular guy can have a root canal using this technique, it is so powerful. We just have to practice it. So it's available when we need it. Anyway, there's my little comment.

>> Well, thank you so much. It's a very important comment. So, Arena, what are the questions?

>> Can you use that technique on another person, to another person?

Well, on the glyph anesthesia, what's, um, really beautiful about this technique is that we've always used this technique as mothers, fathers, grandparents, with others. I mean, it's something that just comes very natural. I mean, I have my little 20-month-old baby granddaughter who's a runner. She's a climber. She's a, I mean, she is an incredible little child. Of course, all children are, but when they're right in front of you, you can't help but be amazed. And I did this with my own children when they were little; parents do this naturally. They bump themselves, and you rub their boo-boo area, and it goes, 'All gone, gone, gone.' I mean, it comes natural. So this is a very natural practice. Why? And it works. And why does it work? Because there's a lot of energy that goes into when there's love and connection. And so when a parent or a caregiver reaches out because they love a child, they don't want them to suffer. And they put their hands on them. And we're energy beings. That energy and the love and the intention of helping the other individual is being transferred through the energy of your body and all the desire and the intentions that go along with that through your aura. So when it comes to applying this technique, it's not necessarily applied in the same way as you would apply it to yourself, but the concept is very similar in that you are transmitting in that case, which you also can do with yourself. It's the same thing. When you apply the gleanesia, the numbness, not only is that for all the reasons I mentioned, but there's also the element of energy transference, but the transference is easier in a sense when you transmit it to somebody else with opposite polarity as far as energy is concerned, and because we're facing each other, and when you touch someone with the intention of the pain going away and you say, 'Gone, gone, gone,' it's a very similar process. So yes, by all means, utilize this, and we'll talk about this a little bit more because we do have a technique called the rapid healing technique where you literally rub your hands to kind of, you know, neutralize your hands and the energy flow; the right hand is like positive and negative with the left hand. Energy flows from one hand to the other. But when you place it on someone, it flows through them, and it carries the desire of you wanting to heal the person. The intention, the love, the goodness, all that goes right through them as you even think or say, 'Gone, gone, gone, gone.' And so these are applicable both for you or the other person, maybe with slightly different, um, approaches, because glove anesthesia is your understanding of the pain gate theory and you causing the numbness on you. Whereas the rapid healing is you placing your hands on somebody else and transferring the intention, the healing, the energy from your aura through the person for that body or for that person to heal and balance out their energy where the pain might be. It's like stirring up all the subatomic particles, whereas they land in a very perfect, harmonious, healthy pattern that has no pain. Does that make sense?

Yeah. Okay. Was there another question?

>> Chelsea is asking if you can use this for headache relief.

Um, for headache relief. Let's remember, headaches are basically discomfort that you experience from tension of the muscle that covers the skull, and mostly in the outer level. It's never a brain that hurts. Brains experience no pain. And even if a person had a brain tumor that you would think might be painful, they usually don't even know it because it doesn't create or cause any kind of pain or discomfort, and it's there. You know, people start maybe noticing these things in the other person. And I mean, I've seen that happen firsthand when, you know, they didn't even know. They just begin to act differently and behave differently, and might not be able to measure their distances and, you know, things of that nature. They didn't have very, very strong filters when they would speak to other people and say things that were weird, and then it turned out they had a brain tumor. They never even knew because it doesn't hurt. So when you experience pain in the head, a headache is usually because at some point in time we learned to create a headache. We probably learned it from people we were around, because if you had never heard anyone say, 'My head hurts,' or anything of that nature, you may never have developed a headache. Who knows, really? Um, but a lot of people learn to create them, and then once they create it for the first time, and it's usually because they are in a stressful situation, a situation they don't want to confront, something they're very concerned about where they are straining themselves and the muscles around the head area. Uh, straining themselves in different ways. It could also be caused by light, lack of sleep, food items, I mean, exercise. I mean, a lot of things can cause the strain and the tension that results in a headache that we then through time label, 'I get headaches,' or 'I get migraines,' because we allow it to get worse and worse and worse. We don't stop it and nip it at the bud, so to speak.

So when it comes to a headache, one of the best things you can do is the moment you begin to even suspect that you might get a headache. At that moment, you apply a technique of relaxing your body, brain, mind. And while in that relaxed state, go through five steps. And those are: identify the problem, state your desired end result, lay out a plan, carry out the plan, and then claim your desired end result. So if I'm in that very relaxed state and I think I'm going down the path of creating or having a headache, then it hasn't happened yet, and that's the best time to do it. Then I go into my meditation and I say, 'I have a headache. I feel a headache.' That's identifying the problem. I don't want to have a headache. I don't want to feel a headache. That's stating your desired result. I'm going to count from one to five. At the count of five, I will open my eyes, be wide awake, feeling fine and healthy. I will then have no headache. I will then feel no headache. That's laying out the plan. Then you carry it out. One, two. Coming out slowly. Now you tell yourself, remind yourself that at the count of five, I'm going to open my eyes, be wide awake, feeling fine and healthy. I will have no discomfort in my head. I will feel no discomfort in my head. Four, five, eyes open. Claim your results. Wide awake. Feeling fine and healthy, feeling better than before. I have no discomfort in my head. I feel no discomfort in my head. Now, if for whatever reason you feel like you need to do it again, or it's not quite what you want as a result, wait five minutes. That's what we state in the meditation. That's the program that's been impressed. Wait five minutes and do it again. It only takes you a few minutes to do it. Do it again. And if you must, wait five more minutes after the second application and do it a third time; with the first one, really, for most anything, you will already have diverted the direction of that pattern, and the more often you do that, the more often you do that, you forget how to create the headache. Your body, brain, mind forgets how to create it. And now you create a new pattern that whenever I feel stressed or tense or I'm worried about something, all I have to do is close my eyes, take a deep breath, relax, I feel good, I feel fine and healthy, everything is good. And then just open your eyes, and you keep reinforcing that pattern. But the most important thing to do to make it the most effective is to nip it at the bud by doing it when you begin to suspect you might get a headache. Or do it when you begin to get what they call the aura for people who get migraines. The aura is like those indications. Maybe you get a little bit of a strain. Maybe the lights begin to bother you. Whatever it is for you, you know what it is. If you get migraines, do it then. Don't wait till you have a headache. Don't wait till you have a migraine. Do it beforehand so that the pattern doesn't evolve and unravel into a headache or migraine. You interrupt that pattern and make it go a different direction. And every time it happens, you interrupt the pattern, make it go a different direction, interrupt the pattern, make it go a different direction. You do that enough times, then the body is going to now always go that way. And you will never get a headache, ever, or a migraine again. Ever. How wonderful is that? So it's another way that we can do self-pain management. Release chemistry into our system, command our body to do something that we want it to do. You know, do mind-body management as we've known it to be called forever, and be able to create new patterns of behavior and train your body to behave in different ways that are going to be more beneficial and healthier for you. Does that help?

>> Yes.

Yeah. Now, remember that we said in one part, 'I have a headache, I feel a headache.' But when you're coming out, when you're already, um, going through the plan, and at the count of three, you say, 'At the count of five, I will open my eyes, be wide awake, feeling fine and healthy. I will have no what?' We change the pain to discomfort.

>> Discomfort.

And I will feel what? No discomfort. No longer focus on my pain. It's discomfort. What's discomfort? Nothing. All you picture is comfort. When you say discomfort, the main thing that you picture is comfort. So when you say pain, you picture pain, you create pain. When you say discomfort, you focus on comfort and you create comfort. Now, the other thing too I want you to focus on here is the 'have' and the 'feel' part, because all of us can say, 'I have this pain,' but how we feel it is highly subjective. And I use the example in my class that when somebody comes and steps on you, let's say, and it's someone you really don't like, and you go, 'Ah!' And they step on you, you say, 'Ah, what's wrong with you, you son of a—well, get off my foot! How dare you step on? Watch where you're going!' But then, it just happens by coincidence. Some really sweet person steps on you. It could be with the same intensity, the same pressure, the same weight, but you really like this person. And you want to make friends with them. You want to chummy up to them. You want them to like you. How are you going to experience that pain? You go, 'Oh my god, it's stepping in.' 'Oh, don't worry about it. It's nothing.' Same pressure, same intensity, same weight, same everything. But this person you don't like, and this one, oh, you want to even be their friend. Here you make a big, oh, ruckus. Here it's nothing. Now, I'm sure we can all relate to that. So the 'feel' part is very subjective, and that's where you need to come in. Don't say, 'I have this terrible headache,' and sometimes we just, ah, make things so big because 'my headache is different.' No, it's not different. People want to make themselves different and say, 'Oh, my headache is different.' It's not different. It's the same old headache like everybody else gets, caused by stress and tension. You got away with not going to school one time when you were a little child because you got into a fight with your best little friend, and now they said that they were not going to talk to you and they were going to be mean to you the next day, and you don't want to go to school. And you said, 'Yep, I have a headache.' And if your mommy or daddy believes you and they fall for that, they let you get away with it. And now that headache, it served a purpose. So why not use it again and again and again and again for the rest of your life to not deal or confront with, you know, uncomfortable situations, scary situations, things that challenge you? 'Better not, I have a headache, I got a migraine, can't do it, I can't go through it.' Oh, what a cop-out! That's not making you special or different or better. So these are the things that we always want to confront and we want to eliminate from our lives because that's how you make yourself the person that you love, admire, respect, appreciate, and really love. And so, the more of these things you eliminate from your life, the more fulfilled you are going to become. So again, we learn to use certain things for our purposes, and not always are they going to be good, and you need to weigh out for yourself. Is it better to be strong, confront that, you know, fearful thing with courage, and then see what happens? Or is it better to run away all the time and say, 'I have a headache?' Well, that's what you started doing. You're a little child. It worked out, and now you know it's paid off, but it doesn't get you anywhere. It doesn't make your life better in any way, or special, or wonderful, or loving. Doesn't do that for you. Let's get rid of that stuff. We don't need that in our lives. The same thing happens when children have tummy aches. How many people have problems with their digestion and all that kind of stuff as they get older? I mean, a lot of people have these kinds of challenges because there's no instrument that's going to measure a headache like they can with a fever, and they can't measure a tummy ache. And so you get away. Those are two things children always use. Notice when they don't want to go to school: 'My head hurts.' 'I have my stomach, my stomach hurts,' and every time they get away, it gets, you know, it gets more effective. That gets stronger, and they get weaker. Okay. So, just remember that. Does this help?

>> Yes.

Yes. So, we have questions. I would say it's four different questions. Which technique, or maybe three, uh, to use for muscles and bones? Then sugar problems, high cholesterol, and then Rebecca asked about diabetes, which is not connected to the weight, which is more connected to the genetics.

>> Yeah.

Yeah. There again, um, I'm a runner. I've been doing it for 40ome years now. Uh, and work out with weights and things of that nature. And so, even at this point in time, funny little story: my husband and I went to Nashville last year, and we were at some bar having a couple of beers. We were going to go see Paul Simon in a concert. And, uh, he just said, 'Hey, let's just have a little trip. It's a little getaway.' So we did. So we're at this place, and a group of women who I would say looked older, but no, they were my age. A group of old women came into the room, sat at the table, and they said, 'Can we sing with you?' We said, 'Yeah.' It turned out we were all the same age, and then one of them was very, you know, very jolly, and she said, 'Come on, let's go dance!' There's a live band, you know, so I said, 'Go dance with the ladies, they're all on the dance floor.' So, I went up and danced with the ladies. So, I start doing, you know, this whole dance. I go all the way down to the ground and come back up again. And one of them stops and she asks me, 'Are those your real knees?' And I said, 'Yes, they are my real knees.' And nobody in my life had ever asked me, 'Are those your real knees?' And I said, 'Yes, they are, Jane. Those are her real knees.' Go figure that out! So again, a little story just to say, you need to always be on top of that. When it comes to muscles, bones, cartilage, back, you have to take care of your frame. You've got to take care of your frame. I don't know how many times I need to say that. And you're going to take care of your frame through time best, but it's never too late to start. You, we all know what we need to do, which is, of course, our diet, exercise, our supplements, you know, the kinds of nutrition that we take in, protecting our bones. You know, exercise strengthens your bones, and your frame is getting stronger. And for having run so many years, the cartilage in my bones and my knees and my hips, I feel good. I just did five miles today, and I would have done more, but I had the Zoom call to come to, you know, get dressed and come to. But my point is this: Every time, even when I feel the slightest of any kind of discomfort, the moment I begin to even notice anything, imagery kicks in. I always picture myself when I would jog; I would always jog with an oil can, my imaginary oil can, in my hand, like the Tin Man, and I would just add oil to my, you know, to my knees, to my, uh, shoulders, to my hips, you know. I just put oil in my imagination as I'm jogging, as I'm running. I'm always picturing the cartilage, you know, just kind of building up and plenty of cushion between my kneebones and my feet and my hipbones, and I'm always picturing plenty of good rotation, lots of lubrication, lots of good cartilage, nice, good, thick, healthy cartilage. And I'm always picturing my back, you know, pulling

on my back. I picture this. This, I know you might think I'm crazy, but that's what I do all the time because it works. And I have an hour and a half to do that while I'm running. I might as well do it as my prayers. I listen to music, but I'm always doing the imagery as I'm running because I want to make sure that I'm continuously working on my frame and the cartilage and the muscles and the tendons and mobility.

And so, as I go, you know, I started doing yoga as an older adult. I didn't do yoga all my life. I ran most of my life, but yoga I started later because I wanted to get the stretching. So, there's things you have to do. You know, we are dualistic in nature. We're not just a spirit being. We're a spirit being having a human experience, which means you have a body, a physical body that you need to take care of. And so, when it comes to certain things like that, you're going to need to do what you know. You already know what to do. So I don't know if that kind of satisfies that, but you need to exercise, eat properly, stretch out, take care of your frame, and you know, watch what the frame is carrying as far as weight is concerned. And the more you move, the better it's going to be for your body. So you've got to make yourself do it, and that's on you.

So you can ask me whatever question you want, and maybe you're expecting a magic bullet, but you're not going to get it from me. Okay. Was that one of them? What was the other one?

>> Sugar problems, high cholesterol.

>> The high cholesterol. Again, for most people, you know what to do. The same thing about sugar, you know, uh, sugar in your...

>> Sugar. You don't want to do it. I can tell you what to do, and you already know what to do, but you don't want to do it. You're afraid to do it. Cut out the sugar. You know, you know, you know it causes cholesterol in your system. Help it to learn how to balance it out. And again, uh, with imagery, meditation, and proper nutrition, you're going to make it happen, but you don't want to do it. Cut out sugar. I can't. You know, of course you can, but are you willing to do what it takes to make it better? So, again, it's on you.

I mean, I quit drinking pretty much quit drinking like three years ago. Occasionally, I have a glass of wine. My husband and I go on trips together, things like that. But we used to drink every day. Now I might drink maybe a glass of wine a week, maybe. I mean, every two weeks, maybe. But my point is this: I'm getting older, and I thought I wanted to take care of this. And I have two little baby grandchildren who are in my life, living basically here at a time. So I needed to be present for them. And so I thought, that's it, I'm going to cut that out. But when I did, I never in my life did I think I would ever do that because I've been a drinker all my life. It was easy. Life has gone so much better. I can tell you the same thing when I was young and I was on drugs. I thought I can't imagine a life without drugs. And then when I did, I thought, wow, why didn't I do this sooner?

>> And so now I've cut out a lot of sugars. I've cut out a lot of fats. Maybe you've noticed me reducing some weight, you know, because I've just been working out the same, you know, a little bit more now differently, but I've just I keep cutting out more sugars and keep cutting out, you know, the alcohol and fats. And I went and I got those machines that measure your body mass and all that kind of stuff.

>> Yeah. The technician said, "Oh my god, you have the least fat in your visceral fat than I've seen any of my patients." I thought, "Really? A good sign. That's good to know." But it wasn't me all the time. Look at the pictures. Arena and I together like 10 years ago, 15 years ago, or whatever.

>> Yes.

>> I look totally different. You can totally recreate yourself and change yourself by just making some modifications to your diet, exercise, your meditation, imagery, what you tell your body to do, and make your plan. A lot of, I would say all our illnesses are going to be something that we can correct, even those called hereditary. I know that it's challenging to do, but when you stick to a plan and you really dive into it and you talk to your body and you tell it what you want it to do, little by little, you know, it's going to start responding to you. It's going to get better and better and better. And even with things that are hereditary, you're going to make the most of what you've got. I mean, if this is what you've got, if this is what you were born with, if you were born with maybe, you know, lesser capabilities, your limbs aren't working well, your legs don't work well, you're going to make the most with what you've got. And so, you need to make those adjustments and still do everything you can. And it's a very relaxing way of commanding your body to do something because you'll never know how far it's going to go. If you really don't understand or want to believe that, look up stories of people who've overcome and how they did it. Things that were inconceivable. We're always breaking barriers. There's so many things that we don't even know how far we can do and how much we can do, but people have done it. I mean, look it up. You're going to find lots and lots of stories of people who have done what you think are impossible. I just read about a woman who was 105 years old who ran a marathon. It took her 11 hours. I don't care how long it took her. It could have taken her 24. I would have been even more impressed. But over a hundred years old doing that. Geez. That's what I want to do. I'm not there yet.

>> Yeah. I believe you. You're a beast, Arena. Have you seen her videos? Oh my god.

>> No.

>> Yes. So my point is, don't buy into everything you hear. Don't buy into it because it's probably not all true. You're stronger than that. You're more powerful than that. You can do a lot more for yourself than what you've been told. And oh, by for sure, this is the way it is. Never been done. Who cares what you say? Get, don't even listen to them. You just follow your path, follow what you want to achieve, and make it happen.

And I mean, I don't know what else to tell you, but if I had been very fortunate to have a very healthy family and children, what have you. Most, one of my sisters was born with some challenges, created some challenges, but I would say she had a pretty great life all in all. But my point is that when you are in charge and you have a healthy mind and you can do things for yourself, and you've got to take on the responsibility because it's your body. Not the doctor or the other person or somebody else's business to do or the medicine or no, no, no, no. It's your body. You've got to do, I would say, 99% of it. The rest is, oh, little benefit, maybe a treat, good, man. Maybe there's a medication. Wonderful. But the rest, you've got to do it because it's your body. So don't believe anything and everything you hear. You know, take it into consideration and say, "And how can I solve this? What would I do if I knew what to do to solve this? What would I do?" And this is imagination. Go wild and make it happen.

So again, when it comes to, I mean, I've seen too many examples of people who had all kinds of incurable situations and so-called, "You'll never be able to get rid of this condition." Get rid of it and heal and cure. So, do your research there. Look it up, and I'll bet you'll find a lot of examples. And use those examples. You know, follow that pattern. You know, emulate those people, model them, because they did something right. They did something right that really made a whole difference in their life. And if they can do it, so can you.

Okay. Can you use your own energy by helping others? You explained the healing technique, rapid healing technique. So...

>> Are you... are you using... are you losing your own energy?

>> Never, ever, ever, ever think that it's not your energy. Remember, you're not separate from all else. You're one with everything. So, you are an energy being made up of energy, from creative energy of some kind, from everything that exists in the universe. You're the same energy from everywhere in the universe. It's not your energy. It's not encapsulated in the body, unless you believe that to be the case. Because if you open yourself up, you draw in energy from everywhere, and you direct it to where you need to direct it. So you need to draw it in from the wind, from the sun, from the trees, from the ground, whatever it is. There's energy everywhere. Just draw as much as you need for your own healing. And the good thing about when you're doing energy work on others and you're sending energy and healing to others, you're getting it first. So it's going through you to them. Through you, endless amount of energy into you, out to them. I mean, that's why I think one of the reasons why I love jogging so much is because I go under trees and I'm on the ground, and I'm just soaking up energy from the wind and the sun and the trees, and it's so revitalizing and it's just wonderful because it's not your energy. So never think that you draw it in and you imagine it coming into your head or just coming into your hands or from the feet from the ground up. However you want to do it, just imagine all the pores of your skin are open, and energy is entering through every single pore into your cells, into your being, and is being guided out. It doesn't matter how you picture it. Just know that you're not separate from it. You're one with it. And if you can just bring it in and direct it for the healing of someone else, wonderful. If you can put your hands on them, but you don't have to. If they're close to you, you can always just send them energy. Even when they're within your aura range, if they're sitting next to you, if they're at a dinner table, if you're having a conversation and they need some healing, just send them healing energy all the time. You know, picture them getting healthier and stronger and capable of doing more things. And always. So just remember that it's always, you always have energy. You always have endless amounts. Does that help?

And we have two more questions, mostly on general practice. Uh, one from Chelsea. Can you help me with a daily practice path if I don't have a specific goal per se? I have been practicing the long relax daily and formula methods randomly, like the mirror, mirror, or free since, but is there more I can do for overall well-being or a better way to use all these tools? You can read this first question.

>> You know, Chelsea, I think you're doing well, but you need to ask yourself, even when I'm doing this, you know, I hope you're doing it on a daily basis. If you're not doing it on a daily basis, then do it daily. So even when you're doing this and you feel you're not getting results, then ask yourself, where do I need to tweak? What do I need to do differently? Where do I need to focus my time and energy? Because really, if you're meditating every day and you say, "I don't have a specific goal per se," you don't need to have a specific goal if life is okay and basically is flowing fine. So you don't have a specific goal, but you want to... I would say, if you're in that situation where life is good, then one of the things I like to do specifically myself is go into a deep meditation. And then go do what I like to do is do the expanded mind approach, which we have in some of our techniques, where you imagine yourself. You can start off by like looking at your hand, going into the focusing on the cell, going into beyond the cell.

>> Fantastic voyage.

>> Like in the Fantastic Voyage, yes, into the molecule, into the atom, into the subatomic particle, where there is no separation between you and anything else that is around you. So then you expand your consciousness out into being one with, let's say, the room that you're in. You and the room, there's no difference. You feel like you are the room. The room is you. And you expand outward to the building, then outward to your city, outward to being Earth, where you get to experience where you're no different than Earth. Earth and you are one. And you may even experience yourself spinning throughout the cosmos, throughout space. And then you expand, expand out into being one with the solar system, and then you feel yourself as one entity. There's no separation between you and it. And you keep expanding yourself until you're one with everything. You know, and you experience yourself as everything. When you get into that mental kind of state, then at that point in time, then make your, at least, press out your images, experience happiness and joy, experience abundance. What does it feel like to be so happy and so healthy and so abundant and full of love? And at that space, know, imagine you having it all. And then experience that's you having it all. And you can bring it all back together. And I mean, but that takes a more of a slightly deeper level because by the time you go out to that expanded mind approach into that oneness with all, and then that's where you create your images of having it all yourself. Then you can just leave it like that and enter sleep, or bring it back out, bring it back to this encapsulated self, and then just experience yourself as a very fortunate being and live that way.

Uh, so if there's nothing else, if there are other things going on, for example, that you're experiencing fear and anger or whatever, then deal with those more specifically. If you feel like you're, you know, whatever, you have to question yourself. I can't tell you. But I typically will meditate as I go into sleep. I know I do my prayers, and then I do meditation as I go into sleep. I wake up during the night, I would say around three o'clock, more or less. I re-enter my meditation, and I do this expanded mind approach. I like to do also, and I do it very fast. I like to have the mantra of saying, "I'm vibrant, healthy, strong, young, happy, and flexible." And I picture that from the moment it's just energy to subatomic particles that are in my body, to the atoms, to the molecules, the cells, the tissues, the glands, the organs, the veins, the nerves, the cartilage, the bones, you know, everything, all systems. And I picture myself again, vibrant, healthy, strong, young, happy, and flexible. And that's I do this very quickly, as almost as I mentioned it to you right now. How long did it take me? Two, 30 seconds, you know, five seconds. I do that really quick, and I do that, and I send healing energy from that expanded mind approach. I send out healing energy to the ones that I love and people I know who need health and healing. Um, so I meditate as I go to sleep at night. I meditate during the night, and I always have a lot of gratitude in the morning, and I picture my day flowing smoothly, whatever. So during the day, usually I take, I like to take a little nap if I can. Um, but I do it through meditation. So it doesn't take a lot of effort, just takes doing it.

>> I think you answered the question from Rebecca, who was asking, "Can you talk a bit about daily meditations? When is the best time and how long?"

>> Yeah, we've always given you a guideline in Silva that five minutes is good, 10 minutes is better, and 15 minutes is excellent. But you can take 30 and 40 and 50. You can take as long as you want. And that once a day is good, two times is better, and three times is excellent. So, if you were able to, at least with, and you have no reason and no excuse why not to at least do it twice a day as you're entering sleep, because you're going to go, your brain frequency is going to go from beta to alpha to theta as you're going into the dream sleep cycles to enter sleep, and then you're going to be in delta for a good while. Then you're going to cycle all night long. And then to come out of sleep, you're going to have to go through alpha into delta. So you already have to go through alpha twice a day with more focus and attention, which is when you sleep and when you wake up. During the day, you're in and out, in and out all the time of all the frequencies all the time. But more consciously with your participation, you're going to have to do it at night and in the morning. So you might as well at least there do it twice a day, even if it's just for five minutes, planning your day or analyzing your day at the end. So there's no excuse why you can't do it. And during the day, do what we always call the mini booster meditations, where, you know, you can do the quick five-second, 10-second, focus on your goals, on what you have to achieve and accomplish, on if you have a meeting, picture it going well for about five or 10 seconds, things like that. Uh, so that's the very least you can do. Okay? So, no excuse. If you're not doing it, again, it's on you. You haven't quite gotten to understand the deep value of what meditation brings to your living experience.

>> Yes. Thank you, La.

>> Yeah, you bet.

>> No more questions, I think.

>> Wow, guys. Really? We got it all. Gee.

>> Yes.

>> All righty. So good to have you all here. So good to see all of you in this wonderful gathering. Um, we missed some of the men, but that always seems to be the case, isn't it?

>> One man entered the room, but then he escaped.

>> He escaped. A lot of women. Hi, it's good to see you. Wonderful. And again, Elaine and Patty, it's great to see you. And Catalina and Maryanne and Catalyn and Unice, you know, haven't met you. I'm not sure, but I'm happy that you're here, and I hope that we can continue to do this at least once a month. I look forward to being... Hi, Lena. How's it going?

>> Yes, a few days late, but hope you had a wonderful birthday.

>> Oh, thank you. We did. We had a fabulous time. We went on a cruise as a family. And most of them, it was their first time. I thought it was kind of interesting too, but my daughter Sarah, who lives here and has the two little ones, she was very concerned because in this particular, but was not one of the bigger ones, but is the one that fit our schedule, she thought there's not going to be a lot of things to do for like a 20-month-old. Oh my god, it was a 20-month-old who had the best time of everyone. She had so much fun. She was such a foodie. She ate everything. She just... she didn't, sometimes she'll take a bottle to go to sleep. She didn't need it. She was like out at the end of the day. She was up and down the stairs and going to the arcade. She learned how to play all the games. I mean, it was so much fun for her. We all had a great time. It was wonderful. It just goes and comes so fast, doesn't it? Time.

>> Something to be respected.

>> Send us some pictures.

>> Ah, okay. That's funny because I'm not... I've never been a big photo taker.

>> I know. At least one.

>> I do have, you know, one where we're all together. Our son, who's always on tour. Right now, he's in Paris. He is touring with Leon Bridges, another very well-known artist. And so he, we always say this time of the year, for my birthday time, set it aside so we can all make sure we're together. Came down from Madrid, and so it was very sweet. It was wonderful.

>> Nice.

>> The best. So guys, we'll see you again next month.

>> We'll keep you posted. And next month.

>> It was great seeing everybody. Thank you.

>> Yes. And do know that I think on the 26th, there's also going to be the little group that gets together at the end of the month, once a month, as well. So those of you who can come and show up, it's always fun. It's always a very informative thing because there's no real structure or format. We just start chatting, like, you know, really nice little kind of a group of people that really can share and ask questions and everything. So yeah, so we have time to continue to connect with one another and support each other as we go through life in the best of ways. So have a great, great week ahead. Making this recording available.

>> Yes.

>> All right. See you guys.

>> Bye, guys.

>> Bye.

>> Bye.

>> Yes.

>> Bye.

>> Once the recording is ready, I will share it with everyone. Thank you to everyone. Thanks.

>> Love you. Bye.

>> Bye, everyone.
