You know what I really care about, David? I really care about the Spanish people. I really care about all the Spanish women who are living in fear in southern Malaysia right now who aren't leaving their homes. I care about our grandparents who can no longer walk on the streets safely. I really don't care about all of these criminals coming into our nation illegally. No one is forcing them. They are not escaping a war. They are not escaping extreme poverty where they cannot even eat. So no, I really don't care about them dying after they decide to come.
Hello and welcome to David Starks and today I am delighted to be speaking to Ada Yuk who is a Spanish political commentator and of course we're going to be discussing the extraordinary events in the two Spanish enclaves of Morocco. Uh both of which I'm going to pronounce incorrectly. The first Suta and the second Melita. Um Ada begin broadly by telling us what you think happened. We saw the scenes with hundreds, thousands of people swimming in and around the breakwater, breaking uh through land fences, overwhelming uh customs and uh and uh and passport control. What happened?
Well, first of all, thank you so much for having me here today. And yes, as you said, what we are seeing in Southern Malia is a complete catastrophe. I am pretty sure this is an orchestrated invasion organized by, and again, this is a conspiracy by our awful prime minister Pedro Sanchez. We've seen over 60,000 Nigan migrants cross, as you said, the river and the fences to Spain during the past couple of days, two, three days. And I'm pretty sure that this is Pedro Sanchez importing voters because he is desperate to stay in power. He knows the second he's going to leave power. He's going to go to jail. He has his wife indicted his brother indicted the first best man and the second best man. They are in jail for 20 years plus. So he is a very corrupt and criminal prime minister and he just will try to import as many people as possible before next year's elections so he stays in power. So yes, we are seeing an orchestrated invasion of Spain right now.
So you're now let me make sure I've tried to that I've understood what you are saying correctly. Again, the background is, isn't it, that he issued an he's already the Spanish government has already issued an amnesty for people illegally in Spain. The uh I think the assumption was it was 500,000. It now looks more like a million. Uh what you're saying is um that this is very much what the Democrats were doing uh in America before under Joe Biden. You were deliberately letting in immigrants on the grounds they would vote Democrat. You're saying he is encouraging immigration because they will vote for the Spanish Socialist Workers Party. That's what you're saying, isn't it?
Yes. This is exactly what I say because it is not this hard to close a border and to protect a border. So the second he failed to cross to close our border, he proved that he is okay with all of these migrants coming in. And what we found out today, the Spanish C um I don't know how to say that in English, the the civil war, they found intelligence a intelligence agents from Morocco crossing the border as well. It's not asylum seekers. It's not poor people who want a better life. This is a very orchestrated of military aged men flow of migrants coming into Spain. And yes, this is one of the ways he's bringing migrants in Spain. But as you said, he reolarized 1,300,000 million migrants just a few months ago. And also there's a new law that she passed. It's called Leedto. It's like granddaughters and grandsons law which grants passport to people of the like the grandchildren of Spanish citizens which is another crazy law just to bring migrants in so they will vote for him. Um so so yes it is just a way to import voters into our nation.
Do you really are you actually charging him? Let us now be quite clear. Are you saying that you think your prime minister actually conspired with the Moroccans and had a an how can I say a quiet understanding that this was in other words this was allowed to happen by conniv as it were I mean one explanation is that the Moroccans decided because your prime minister has enjoyed had good relations with their great rival Algeria, the other power on the uh on the North African coast that they wanted to show him whose boss by humiliating him and of course humiliating Spain uh by letting the frontier be overwhelmed. But you're saying you actually think that that Sanchez actually connived in what's happened?
Again, I would like to make sure I say this is my personal opinion and it's a conspiracy so they don't come and charge me. You know, we have freedom of Spain, but I really believe so because it makes no sense otherwise. They found five Facebook groups a few days ago where all these Moroccan people were organizing themselves to come through Soda. They were public Facebook groups. So, it doesn't take a genius to understand that this was something very orchestrated. And if he really wanted to stop it, he could have stopped it. That's why we have an intelligence um section of the police in Spain, right? So I I I really believe he was aware of it. Of course, I cannot say it as a fact, but I really believe so. And also one thing that's very frustrating is that he came yesterday and said, "No, almost all the migrants that came into Saudi are being sent back to Morocco. Everything is back to normality. Nothing happened. It's all feast." That's a blatant lie. They are still in SA. They are still in Malia. We've seen many, many, many, many videos about it. We keep seeing videos of people trying to come in as of today. Of course, not as many as it is before. So, he's just lying to us thinking that we are fools. So, we believe that everything is normality and nothing happened. Yes, a lot happened and a lot is still happening. But that's one thing that brings me a lot of hope. I know so many young patriots from Spain who are traveling to Saud first of all to help the citizens of Saud because they are living in fear and then to record what's happening because we know the mainstream media it's on the government's side and they are not going to tell us the reality. But thank God we have social media and we have X and we are going to see exactly what's happening and we are going to take justice by our hands if if needed.
Again, h looking at it very much from as an outsider uh I've been struck by two things well three things the first of course is the number of people who have died the casualties look to be in the hundreds people drowning trampled to death on those vicious rocks that we've all seen uh on the North African coast so whatever ever happened. Human life was treated extraordinarily cheaply, wasn't it? And and this is a man who professes to believe in universal human rights and whatever. The scenes in that sense are deeply shocking. Now, can I ask you, you're firmly on the right, of course. Can I ask you a blunt question?
Of course.
Do you care? Do you care? In other words, um I I do not believe in universal human rights. I do not believe in the rights of foreigners simply to trample into my country. Were you shocked by those bodies pulled from the sea or did you just think they decided to do it? It was their problem.
You know what I really care about, David? I really care about the Spanish people. I really care about all the Spanish women who are living in fear in southern Malaya right now. who aren't leaving their homes. I care about our grandparents who can no longer walk on the streets safely and they are being stopped or worse things on a daily basis. So, because I care so much about my people, I really don't care about all of these criminals coming into our nation illegally. Just by coming illegally, that makes them a criminal because it is a crime to enter our country illegally. They are the ones taking the decision to come to our nation. No one is forcing them. And also I've seen on social media so many of these people coming in they had a precious and beautiful life in Morocco. They actually were living better than a lot of Spaniards here in Spain. There was this guy they recognized his face which all over his Instagram stories he was inside Mercedes. Everything was luxury. So all of these people were not in a need to come to Spain. They are not escaping a war. They are not escaping extreme poverty where they cannot even. So no I really don't care about them dying after they decide to come.
Can I congratulate you for being so frank and so honest that the and you made a statement there which seems to me to be one that all those of us uh on the right side and I use right in English both with a small R and a very big R that we need to start to make with confidence that it is our own people and our own countries that matter um and that each one of us needs to put them first and the disastrous idea that we owe a general duty to all of humanity. So you need to care as much about the Moroccans or the Algerians as we need to care about I don't know what Pakistanis or Afghanis or whatever is silly. Great. But doesn't doesn't that expose a huge gulf in politics in Spain? You've got one half of the country taking the view that what matters is universal human rights, that all people are fundamentally the same, and you've got the more or less the other half, I think, of the population taking your position. Now, those there's no way you can there's no way you can balance those two views, is there? There's no way that you can arrive at a compromise between them. They are absolutely contradictory, aren't they?
Well, you know what I think also? Pedro sense and the socialists are the ones allowing and promoting this invasion of Spain by their sick open border policies. So in reality, they are the ones not caring about all of these Moroccans dying on the sea because if they actually cared about it, they would not allow them to come. If they send a message, if you try to swim over Spain, you're not gonna get in, they wouldn't come. Therefore, they wouldn't die. So, I just see a very big hypocrisy here. How all the left is crying for them and saying, "Oh, poor men, poor, well, it's all men. Poor men that died um coming to Spain. It's because our policies are allowing this to happen." It's because the left is allowing this to happen. And I will also tell you something that I've been seeing a lot during the past days. I've seen so many people who have always voted for the left, who have always been socialist or progressive, who are so sick and tired of the situation of Spain that they finally woke up and said enough. I don't want this for my country. I'm going to vote for the right because this is not okay. This is not fair and this is an invasion. So, I do think we are going to see a huge rise on the right in Spain in the next elections. I wouldn't say it's 50/50 anymore. I would say it's more maybe 6040 because more and more people are sick and tired of living this way. And the problem is not only the security that we are seeing on the streets which is a very tragic situation but we've seen the collapse of our education system, health care system, transport system, the entire of Spain is collapsed because of this mass migration. So we can no longer live decency. we are poor in Spain and poverty is raising by the day because of this mass migration and even if someone is maybe socially left they're going to vote for the right because we can no longer live.
I'm interested also in the situation in other European countries because obviously uh the events that we saw in North Africa a few days ago have made headlines all over Europe, all over the world. Um, what was your sense of the very very sharp reaction of your so-called partners in the EU uh led by uh led by uh Italy uh and by Denmark uh saying that the Shenhen area, the area of free travel uh between Spain and the rest of Europe should be suspended, that frontier controls should be introduced because what no other country in Europe apart from Mr. Sanchez wants is another wave like 2015 that vast vast wave that swept into Europe when Angela Merkel uh was the chancellor of Germany. Um are you again just so that I place you are you a skeptic about the European Union or do you believe that it benefits Spain? Um, and where do you stand? And if you were saying the sort of things that you've been doing in Britain, you would be very skeptical. You know, we've had Brexit and whatever, you would be very skeptical. Um, how does the European reaction led by Italy and by Denmark make people on the right in Spain think about the European Union?
Look, I have a bittersweet um feeling about this situation. I will say that as a Spaniard, I cannot blame Italy for enforcing the order in their borders. I cannot blame them because it is a security threat for their nation to allow the free movement from Spain. Considering all of these migrants that are coming in where a lot of them are criminals, one was on camera saying he was a murderer. The other one was escaping the police. like I cannot blame them and I wish if it happened the same in my country if the situation was re reversed. But then at the same time when I saw all the other prime ministers of other leftists European nations complaining about Sanchez, I realized that they are hypocrites because they have been allowing the invasion of their nations for way a long time. And yes, it has not been as obvious as this situation in southern Malaya that their seat policies have promoted the invasion of Europe. So they are complicit composites of Pedro Sanchez as well. I'm very happy they are denouncing him. Maybe this way he feels some sort of pressure even though I don't think he cares because he's a psychopath and he starts reinforcing our borders and taking action about what's happened even though I highly doubt he will do that. But I appreciate the pressure from other European countries but at the same time we cannot act like they are saints and they have a sovereign nation and they care about borders when they have been welcoming millions of migrants as well.
If but again now I'm going to going to ask you to do something very difficult. I'm going to ask you to be fair to Pedro Sanchez which you will find very difficult. He has done things he claims like reinforce that famous breakwater that separates Morocco from Thuta. And we've seen uh armored vehicles, lots of troops. I mean, suddenly it looked and where they've come from, I do not know um where they all appeared from because suddenly um the photographs that we're shown are troops manning the frontier. There are boys and and and and anti-swiming devices appearing in the sea. Um where they all suddenly come from?
Exactly like they had the resources to stop this invasion when it first started. They just decided not to. And I'm pretty sure she's doing this.
Just one second. You're saying you're Forgive me. You're say I'm sorry to interrupt, but just so we're all clear. It's clear, isn't it, that there were troops there, that there were armored vehicles there, that there were all of these resources in there already. They just were in barracks. And it was only after the event that they were suddenly told to come out and restore order. Is that right?
That's very right, David. And actually, I think he's only doing that because he felt the pressure from all the other European countries and because he's also a sociopath. He did that for the show. So, they liked him back after all the mess that he got. But of course, the resources were there. It's not even that hard to protect the border. And we also seen videos from the first day and the second day of the invasion where the military and the police officers were just watching all these migrants coming in and doing nothing about it. And we also saw how the police said that persecuting and arresting Spaniards because the Spaniard citizens, the citizens of Sod Maria went on the streets trying to protect their city. And what did the police do? They arrested a lot of Spaniards instead of the illegal migrants coming in. So I don't even blame the police officers because at the end of the day they are following the orders of the chief. But I blame the name is Marlasa, the chief of all the police officers in Spain because he's Pedro sensed best friend and he's composite about the invasion of Spain as well.
The way we're describing it now with the fact that there were troops there but they were in barracks. They were told not to do anything. The police were told not to stop them. And then suddenly a day later, they're given orders. The more or less order is restored, though there are still huge numbers of people queuing up for asylum. Partly because of the verdict of the Spanish Supreme Court that anybody arriving by water could not just be removed. Um that but it's a piece of theater. It's a performance. But in that case, the question I asked you was what did what did the Spanish prime minister what did Pedro Sanchez think that he was going to achieve by doing that? Because at the moment it just looks as though he's been humiliated. Europe turned against him. The um he had to if if if he had a policy of allowing the frontier to be overcome, he's had to reverse it. He looks weak and confused. What do you think he What do you think he wanted?
I think he's delusional enough to think that he was going to win the sympathy even more from all the left parties in in Europe saying, "Oh, what a good person allowing all these poor migrants in. He's a humanitarian." But he probably was surprised to see that no one had his back. That's why he's putting on all of this performance right now. At the same time, he already said that 10,000 mrons, minors, even though no one can actually check if they are minors or not, are going to come to Spain. So that's already 10,000 votes more. Even though it's not much, it adds up at the end of the day. And then, as I said, he said that he sent back almost all of them, but he didn't. So, I really think he's hoping he's going to give papers to all of these illegal migrants and they are going to eventually vote for him. However, I do think he did not receive the reaction that he expected. I think he he really thought he was going to be a very cool person, a good person. And unfortunately for him, he's been humiliated as you said in front of the entire world because this has crossed all the borders in the world. Everyone is talking about this humiliation ritual.
I'd like finally to ask you about your legal system and your Supreme Court because not only did the government give an amnesty as we were talking about, your Supreme Court uh said again issued a decision that uh however illegally somebody had come into a country uh if they arrived by sea, they could not simply be removed. They had to undergo judicial process. How far do you think your judiciary like our judiciary in England has developed a leftward tilt, a very strong bias to the left? Do you think that's the case in Spain or am I being unfair?
You know, I really want to think and I will say that from a selfish perspective because I don't want to lose hope in my country that we have a fair justice system. However, it is very clear that it's being influenced by the socialist party in Spain, at least with all of these laws and policies. But I do still have some hope in our justice system because we've seen how they are prosecuting everyone surrounding Pedro Sanchez. And even though the sentences are not as strong as they should, we've seen a clear intention to go after all of this corrupt mafia that he has um in his hands. So I do want to remain hopeful about it. I do think they are being influenced by the Socialist Party. I also think it's going to change when the governments change next year. Um but may maybe I'm wrong and maybe they are more influenced of what I think they are.
Just to summarize so that we get it clear on the one hand the Supreme Court like ours seems to be very influenced by human rights law. So in other words, the that that Moroccans are human, therefore we can't simply remove them. On the other hand, you're saying that they are showing that your your investigatory magistrates, I think that's what they're called, are showing um a serious commitment to justice in pursuing Sanchez wife, his brother, and so on for corruption wi-i which which which is admirable. Now I I said that that would be my last question. I've got another one and this is a really delicate one. What kind of role is the king playing in all of this? And you have a monarchy unlike ours which seems to me to be coping rather well with the change in circumstances. Um what what role does the king play uh in this debate about um immigration? I mean how far I mean here we see extraordinary sites like our king um attending um in fact laying on special celebrations for Muslims. Uh we see uh our king um going out of his way to advance for example in the you have a peer you orders of nobility knighthood. We still have them too. You see immigrants being advanced, many people would say, above their talents. Has the Has the King in Spain showed an, as it were, a desire to, how can I say, take special measures to integrate immigrants?
I have to tell you, the king in Spain has been a shame for our country lately. He is the chief of the military. Believe it or not, we have an army that should be patrolling the streets of southern Malaya right now. He has not done or said anything about this invasion at all. He's a very very bad king. I would say very useless. And even though we have great respect for our monarchy here in Spain, I'm pretty sure the people of Spain have lost disrespect towards our king after all of these months because we have not only had this invasion, but we had wildfires, natural disasters, train accidents, and he said nothing about it. And we've seen him laughing and being very friendly with Pedra Sanj, which is the biggest traitor we have had in Spain in a long, long time. So we are very disappointed about the king right now. He should have been taking action a long time ago. He should puridize Spaniards as a king should do. But instead he's in quiet hiding and just having Pedro sent back. Complete disgrace. I'm pretty sure his father is very ashamed of him. His father was a way better king than he is right now. And let's see what he does during this next week. I hope he finally says something about it. I see him very weak. I don't think he's going to take action, but at least he should go out and say some words to the Spanish people and not hide like a rat. Because right now he's hiding like a rat.
Do you know what? I always thought Britain and Spain were very different. You persuaded me that they really are rather similar. Thank you very much indeed. That was great pleasure. Thank you. Bye-bye.
Thank you so much, Dave. Great way.
