We come into life because we want to experience hardship, because that is where we learn. No, not all the time do we come in to experience hardship. But if you don't want to experience anything, you'll stay on the other side. And you're still learning that way. But it's like trying to describe to someone what it's like to ride a bike. You can't really describe what it's like unless they actually do it. I'd like to welcome to the show, John J. Davies. How are you doing John? Hi, Alex, I'm doing well. It's good to see you. Thank you so much for coming on the show my friend, I've really been looking forward to our talk, because I mean, I've spoken to 40 or 50 people about to die at this point, but your story, your near-death experience is easily one of the most detailed things I've ever heard. So really, I'm really really looking forward to diving in. But before we dive in, I always like to ask this question, what was your life like, before your near-death experience? Before that, I was just, I was raised Catholic. And somehow that was fine, I was in my parents, and he loved to go to church, and we would go to church, sometimes two or three days a week. And then on Sundays too. So I was immersed in Catholicism. And before I had my NDE, I didn't have any experiences of any kind other than Catholicism. I was 21 years old at the time, and I was thinking about going to college or going to school or not. And I, the last thing on my mind, was spirituality. I had a hard time understanding Catholicism, because the big thing that I struggled with was the fear of God that they put in you. You were supposed to be afraid of God. And I never understood that. So after I had my near-death experience, my whole life changed in that way in terms of spirituality and my views on religion. Like I have a hard time considering myself a Christian. But I love Jesus. And I read the New Testament all the time. But I have a hard time with Christian doctrine. That's what my life was like before, I was more interested in the material in what I was supposed to do in my life, because I really didn't have any direction at that point. So this NDE made a huge difference for me, and it gave me a strong direction to follow. And ever since then, I've been sharing my story. Quite simply something I'll mention to you too, is that you know how when you hear other people's near-death experiences, a lot of times, they come back with some kind of gifts. Maybe the person maybe they have some psychic abilities, or I heard of one guy who was able to compose music, or he can. Well, I don't have anything like that. But the one thing that I did, and I think this has to be something from God. I was given 100% memory recall of everything that I saw. So my experience happened in 1987. But when I tell the story, it's as if I'm seeing everything just as if it happened yesterday. That's why I'm able to remember so many details. So I think it was just a gift that was given to me so that I could share my story with people and help them and give them hope. There's so much more than what we see here on Earth. Well, my friend, I'm here to help you spread the word. So let's dive in. Let's dive in. So what happened on the day that you had your near-death experience? Yes, well, my dad had won a sales contest, and he won two motorcycles. And they're kind of like scooters or mopeds. They call them mopeds now, but we used to ride them on weekends. So one day I was out, and I had an accident, and I hit a tree. And the way that I landed tore the tendons from my right arm. And I had to go in to have surgery. When I was 21 years old, I had never had surgery before. I don't know what to expect. I'd probably been in the hospital just a handful, not very often. So I had no idea what was in store for me. So they gave me the IV and they started pumping in the anesthesia. And I had a type of allergic reaction and my heart stopped and I died. Second that I died. I opened my eyes again. And I was standing in the most beautiful building I had ever seen. And the first thing that I thought was, oh my gosh, I had no idea the hospital was this big. Because this building that I was in was a long hallway building. And I couldn't see the end of it, it was so long. And there were columns on the right hand side, marble, beautiful white marble columns, maybe 30 feet high, all the way down as far as you could see, and they were about five or 10 feet apart. In the middle of this hallway like building there were these marble tables just a plain marble rectangular kind of square tables. And there were marble benches at each table. And these tables went way back, as far as you could see. And the most spectacular part was what was on my left, on the left of this building. There was a jar like marble, marble, all made out of white, beautiful genuine marble. There were these tunnels that looked like they were cut out of solid marble. And in the court there was a match for every table. So there was a marble column from a table, then these tunnels, and again they went as far as you could see, maybe each tunnel was five feet and it was seven or eight feet high. And it looked like it was carved out of solid marble 90 degree angles, like at the entrance. Cart, they need to tell you something else that happened here, it'll kind of help you explain how this process works. We're at this point, on the right, then I heard a voice in my left ear, and it said, my name is Alan, I'm your spirit guide. Well, I have no idea what that means. I just went through this whole process. And what happened was, my spirit guide took me everywhere I'm going to describe to your audience. And he took me outside, first of all the building. Then he took me inside. And I like to say so that they can get a visualization. This building that I was in, it looks like a temple in Turkey, the country of Turkey. And it's called the Temple of Artemis. And it's an ancient wonder. So if your listeners want to Google it, they can Google it and see what was shown to me. That's what this building looked like. Anyway, everything that I'm going to tell you guys, it's what my guide told me. He told me everything that I was seeing, and why it was there. Well, this building that I was in, he told me that this is the guidance center. And what's different about my experience, if you've heard before, you've probably heard a lot of typical near-death experiences where the person says they had an accident or they were in the hospital and they found themselves floating above their bodies and then they realize a tunnel. And at the end of the tunnel is a white light. Well, my experience, for some reason, I skipped all that. And I was taken to the other side of that white light. What's on the other side of the white light, once someone enters it, they're there in this guidance center. And they go through these tunnels that were on my left connecting the tunnels people to Earth to the other side. So when their life is over on Earth, they go through these tunnels, and they end up on the other side. Somehow these tunnels are connected to Earth. And I don't know how this all works, but this is how people get to the other side. So he might have told me to look to my left in the next tunnel. So I look to my left, and there's a man coming. He was maybe in his 80s or 90s. And he had just ended his life. And he had his right hand held to his chest like this. He was in pain. And my guide said he died of a heart attack. So he's coming from the tunnel. And at these tables I mentioned, there are two people sitting at each table on the other side, and my guide said they're guidance counselors. So their job is to help reorient people to the other side. And the reason they're there is a lot of times when people enter life, somehow, and I think this is something from God too because I don't understand how it works. But when we come into life, our memory is washed about the other side of where we're from because we're not from Earth, Earth is just a place of learning and growing and developing your soul. But we have a real home on the other side, or some people like to call it heaven, some people call it the afterlife. And so these guidance counselors help people remember where they're really from. So the woman, there was a woman at the table, I was looking at, she stood up, and she went to this man, and she took his hands and led him to the table and they sat down. All the time she was talking to him she was holding his hands. And my guide said, watch him. So as I was watching him, his appearance started to change from a man in his 80s or 90s, to a man in his 30s. And nobody told me why the age, why the 30s. But for some reason, we're in our 30s. And I don't know if it's about the age Jesus died, I, you know, I have no idea. But we're in our 30s. That's what happens during the orientation. They just talk to them about where they belong, you've ended your life. Here you are on the other side. Now when he did that, he stood up, and he walked to the right. And he took three steps. Everyone takes everyone they were called were between these orientation areas. So he stepped down and went into what I call the gardens because they were the most beautiful gardens you could imagine. They were like English gardens, just beautifully manicured and the most beautiful trees and flowers. And what I remember was the grass. The grass was absolutely emerald green, just gorgeous. And what happens is because they go into the gardens, when they cross over there's a reunion. Everyone that they knew in life, friends, loved ones, family, you know, cousins, grandparents, everyone is there waiting for them when they cross over, and they have a reunion. And it's a big deal when somebody comes back from life on Earth. It's a huge deal. Because what I was told is that Earth, this planet, is the hardest of them all. And I'll show that to your audience in a minute. But they have a reunion, and they welcome people back. And it's really a huge, huge deal. So that was the first center that he took me to, it was the guidance center. And I think he wanted to show me how the process actually works. You know, you die, your body dies, when it's time to go, you go to the tunnel, you go past the light, you're oriented, you have an orientation session, and then you meet your family and relatives. So that was the first part. The next center he took me to, this building was square, or I think it was kind of a rectangular square. And they had beautiful white columns marble columns all over the outside. And I don't know why so many of the places that he took me to look like Greek buildings, but they do. And the other side, this isn't all there is. The other side is thought of as another planet somewhat like Earth. But it's perfect. No wars, no poverty, no hunger, no disease. Just a perfect world. What the other side is, and the place that he took me to was just a specific area. So the next thing he took me to, he said I'm going to take you to a life review. And you've probably heard that you and your audience have heard that before. And this was a rectangular building and we went inside. And it was about a round room, really big, big round room. And at the top were these screens like movie screens. All the way around in a circle. And he said this is your life review. And all of a sudden the screens lit up. Like they were playing movies. Like I was in a theater. On each screen that I could see was a different aspect of my life. One was playing when I was just a newborn baby. Another player was playing when I was an infant. Another player was playing when I started elementary school, then it went all the way through this. Each screen had a different aspect of my life up until the age of 21, and that was the life review. And what you do in a life review, the whole idea is to see if you accomplished what you wanted to accomplish before you entered life. Because none of us are accidents. None of this is random. We all actually plan our lives and I'll get to that in a minute too. So that was the last review. The next thing he took me to was a square type of building again, it had marble columns on the outside. And this part was really hard to comprehend because I was raised Catholic. But he took me to a building. And it was another theater-like building, just like the last life review. But this one had a screen, one screen, like, what movie theaters look like. And what it was showing me was my past lives. And this was really hard for me, because I had not been raised that way. But we actually go through lifetimes. Because we're eternal beings, you can have as many lives as you want. Anyway, he wanted to show me three different lifetimes, so that I could know when I came back to you know, just like your audience, life, past lives are very real. And you learn from them. Just like you learn in this life. Well, he showed me three. One of them, I was a monk, and I had a shaved head. I was maybe in my 60s, I was wearing a red robe. And my job in that life was to teach children about the monastery. It's kind of like, it's kind of like being a Buddhist monk. In the next life he showed me that I was a traveling cobbler in this village. And I had a wheel barrel, and I had a whole shoe. And my job in that life was I would fix people's shoes, fix them, take them back to my little shop, fix them and give them back to people. The other life that he showed me was a fisherman. I had a little rough boat, and I was on a lake and I had a net. And my job in that life was to help the village with food by bringing in fish. So that was the whole segment to show me that past life is real, because we're infinite beings, where there's no end to knowledge, no end to learning. And you just learn, you're for your whole existence. And one of the things that I thought was so interesting, is that we come into life because we want to experience hardship, because that is where we learn. No, not all the time do we experience hardship, but if you didn't want to experience anything, you would have stayed on the other side. And you're still learning that way. But it's like trying to describe to someone what it's like to ride a bike, you really can't describe what they have to actually do is-it. Once they do it, they get it. And that's kind of the wonder why we come here to learn. And so we have a lot of different past lives. The next place that he took me to, this was a little different. These were all huge buildings. I can't even replicate their size. But they were all just enormous. And these were round. They were round and they had marble columns going in a circle. And they had a domed roof. And we went inside, and he took me to a marble table. And on the table were two scrolls. And if you can imagine what papyrus scrolls look like, they look nice like that. They were rolled up. And there were two, one had a blue ribbon and the other had a red ribbon. I don't know what that meant. But I got the one with the blue ribbon. I unrolled it and laid it out on the table. And immediately I could see all this writing, and it was written in black letters. And it looked like it was in calligraphy. You know how you take those pens and dip them in ink. And then you write with that, that's what calligraphy looks like. When I went to try to read it, I folded it back up. And I was told I couldn't read it about my life because it might interfere with what I was going to accomplish in this life. And what they wanted me to learn and share is that our lives are really planned. We plan what country we're going to live in, we plan what language we're going to learn from our parents, are we going to go to college or not, what kind of a career we're going to have, all those things too, as we wanted to learn and accomplish and what our goals were. And that's what the life review was to show you that you know, you really have goals and you want to see how you did. So everyone has these scrolls, and they're all kept in this beautiful round building. And I don't know why, but we always go to this building to plan our next life. Time and our guides help us. Our guides help us plan what we want to accomplish. Do you want to learn more about compassion? Do you want to learn more about love? Or these are the main axes that people feel when they come into life? What do you want to accomplish, and they plan them in this huge building. When I looked to my left, there was this enormous window. And I looked, and I could see, and this is the first time I saw a group of people. A handful of people were walking back and forth along this corridor. And wherever he took me on the other side, it was really busy. There were tons of people walking back and forth. And every race was there, every ethnicity, every color. People were short, some people were tall, they looked just like us. And what I noticed immediately was everyone had bodies. Some people that I've read about, they say we're just like, or energy that we float around. But that's not what my experience was, like I saw everyone, just like you see people, they look like us, their bodies are different, their bodies there, somehow, they're better than our earthly bodies. They're stronger and lighter and they don't get sick, they don't get old. And I don't know what they're made of. But they're as solid as we are. So I saw them walking back and forth. And one of the most beautiful things that I saw was a lake in the bottom of this building. It was absolutely the most beautiful lake I had ever seen in my life. It still looked like glass. And all around this lake. They had weeping willow trees, you know, those trees that have the weeping willow that hangs down, all the leaves were sitting in the water, it was just a gorgeous picture, a perfect picture. Then he took me to another place inside this building. And they wanted me to tell people about this. You have probably heard the term soulmates. Soulmates are actually real, when we, when we were created, God created us all with a perfect companion that was with us for eternity. But the perfect companion that we have on the other side doesn't always come to life with us. Because one of the things that you learn in your life, you learn from your relationships, whether it's a friend or a lover or a marriage, whatever it is, you learn a lot. And if you look back at life, most of the things that I learned came from experiences that were kind of painful. But that taught me a lot. On the other side, when you have your perfect companion, you don't always necessarily learn a lot that way. So we come into life, naturally without soulmates. And here was something really wonderful. This building, if you could, if you could imagine a huge, huge library of Encyclopedia Britannica where all these books were on the bookshelves and they were all the same color, kind of like maroon, kind of a chestnut purple, and each one had gold lettering. It wasn't horizontal, it was going down. And what my guide led me to was my soulmate's book. And the books contained everything about our lives, all our past lives. What we learned from, everything that we became, all these encyclopedias writing going up and down. And my writing said N I N A, and Nina was my soulmate's name. And he just wanted to show me that everyone has one. So you don't have to worry about trying to find your soulmate in life. Because a lot of times you don't, because that person is still on the other side. So that was the building. It was just a magnificent, beautiful building. The next place that he took me to was a stadium like a football stadium or a soccer stadium we go to watch a sporting event. He took me inside, inside, it had thousands of seats, just thousands of seats that people could sit, but when I was there, it was completely empty. Nothing was there at all. Just the seats and my guide. Well, there was a gentleman behind me and his job on the other side was to run this building. Do you remember when you were a kid you used to go to the planetarium. Remember what those were, of course, we would walk. Yes, when I was in the planetarium on the other side. But it was, it was huge, gigantic, just gigantic. And the gentleman behind me ran this planetarium. And he said, let's begin. And so the lights went out, dim. And I sat down. And he started to show me on the ceiling. And what he told me was the first thing he said was, when you look at the stars, this is what you see. And what he was referring to, is, people on Earth, people on Earth. When we look at the stars, this is what we see. And he started to show that our solar system, starting with Jupiter, then Saturn, then Uranus, then Neptune, all of our solar system, including Earth and our sun. Then he said to me, when we look at the stars, this is what we see. And what he was referring to is everyone that was on the other side, their perspective. And he said what when we look at the stars, this is what we see. And he started to show me planet after planet, then dozens of planets, then hundreds, thousands, then millions and millions of planets. And he said, I, there's so much more life in the universe than you can imagine. And the wonderful part is that Earth isn't the only planet, there are millions of planets. And not only that, but we can have lives on any of them. There on Earth, we always thought that Earth was the only inhabited planet, so it's not. And we can have lives on other planets all over the universe. So it just blew my mind. I love astronomy. I really do. I loved it so much. I tried to take an astronomy class in college, but I had to drop it because I couldn't understand the math. It was so difficult for me to try to calculate the distances from the stars. But I love astronomy. And that was just such an exceptional, I think it was one of my favorite parts of my whole experience, that planetarium. The next thing that he took me to, this building was a little different. Again, it was rectangular. And it was very long. Again, I couldn't see the end of it. But it was the biggest building yet. It didn't have columns on the outside, it just had columns like white marble columns in the front. And it looked like we have the Supreme Court building in Washington, it looked like that with the columns in the front. And it had a whole set of steps leading up to the top. Again, everything was beautiful white marble. So he takes me inside. And it's a library. And there are 30 huge libraries, maybe 30, 40 feet filled with books all the way down as far as you can see. And again, it was filled with people, people were studying at these different tables. People were talking to each other. There were people looking for books, just a huge library. And he took me to an area on the left side of the library and it was shaped. It looked like, like rooms that you could study in, rooms from everyday. Libraries today have study rooms. This kind of looked like that, maybe the size of an average person's bedroom. I walked in, and I looked and there was a woman who had brought me to her. She had jet black hair, jet black hair down to her waist. And she was wearing a purple dress or a purple robe of some kind. And she was looking at what we would call today a really big TV screen mounted on the wall. And my guide said she's watching history. So I looked at what she was watching. And she was watching a battle that took place between Native American Indians, the Plains tribes like the Lakota versus the US Cavalry. And she said she was watching this as it happened. And I said to myself, how is that possible? Because nobody, nobody had video cameras 200 years ago? How could she be watching something that happened? And he told me, everything is recorded in this, it must be a divine thing. Also, because I did that, I can't understand how it's possible that everything is recorded. But it is. That's why when we have our life reviews, you can see everything about your life. It's somehow in God's mind. It's recorded. Can I stop you for a moment? Because you said something very interesting. You said she was watching it as it happened. But that was in the past. Yes. Yes. Let me go back. It wasn't like she was watching it as it happened. Now, she was watching like history happened. So she was watching a documentary of the past that happened in your current timeline, in a time period where there was no ability to record any footage? Absolutely. That's exactly right. Yes, exactly. So what I learned is that anything you want to learn about whether it's a battle or a summit in World War II or the sinking of the Titanic, anything you want to learn about, you can go into these rooms off the library, and you can watch history, as it actually happened. There's such a thing, and I think we're all wired, we want to learn. So that was the place that he took me to was a place where people learn, they learn to experience and grow. And the wonderful thing about the other side is that anything you love to do on Earth, you can do. You can swim, you can fly, you can go to music and festivals, you can paint, you can write, you can do anything you love to do, you still do there. So that was just the most exceptional part for me. Well, let me ask you a question. Because everything that you've been talking about, in your experience so far, has very earthly ties. And that means that obviously there's all all the buildings to what you're talking about. Now. Everything is based on an earthly basis, and we have all the reference points for all of this. So my question to you is, are the things on Earth built? Like the things on the other side? Or is it the other way around? Because you're coming from Earth, and everything is built to be more comfortable and tailored to you in your experience? Or are we just inspired? Like you said the books and libraries? These are all things that we know ultimately designed here? And/or given this information here, and the halls and screens and all that sort of thing? So is it the chicken or the egg? What came first in a sense? That's a great question. From what I was told. Everything that exists on Earth now, was on the other side first, the idea of the pyramids was from the other side, the idea of these beautiful Greek Roman buildings, the architecture was so beautiful that the inspiration came from the other side. Because it's there first, then it can, and I'll mention that to you in a couple of minutes. Something else happened. Well, that was the library. This is the part that I think will answer your question best. He took me to a castle. And a castle, just like medieval Europe. They were built of stone. Beautiful, gorgeous stone was excellent cut, just like the supported, massive castles. And he told me to walk inside. So I walked inside. And immediately there was a red carpet or a gorgeous elegant on the floor of the castle. And huge walls on my right and left. And there were life-size portraits of kings and queens and royalty that lived in that castle. And they were actually realistic portraits of what they looked like and also how they were dressed. And in front of each portrait was a podium. And on the podium was a book. And what that was was the life of that person in that book. In the reason this castle was there, and there were many castles, because they were on Earth. So what was on Earth was also replicated on the other side. And so if you wanted to learn about a specific time in Earth's history, not only could you go into the libraries, but you could also go into places like this, where you could see the structures as they were on Earth. And this book on each podium of these podiums contained the life of that person, everything about their life. So if you wanted to learn about King George for example, you could go, you could look at his castles, you could see what he looked like, what the clothes looked like. Then you could read about it in something else. You know how a lot of these castles had those tours, the staircases that took you to the second floor. This house would have that too. And writing at that time, there was a woman who started to walk down the staircase. She had strawberry blonde hair and she was wearing some kind of a peach colored dress or tunic. Oh, something else I forgot to mention. Everyone wears what they want to wear. But a lot of people like to wear robes and tunics, because they're the most comfortable. They said, but people wear jeans and t-shirts, whatever you want to wear. So I'm walking. And she's walking towards me. And she says, can I help you find anything? And Alex, to this day, I kick myself for what I sent her. I was here on the other side. I was supposed to be having surgery. What's going on? Well, instead of asking her that, you know what I said? I said, Oh, no, thank you. I'm just looking. This isn't Walmart, man. Walmart. Yes, yes, exactly. That's exactly what I thought, what in the world? Did I say that for? I could have asked her anything. But I didn't. I didn't, I didn't know what to say. Well, my guide told me that you know how people on Earth, they have to pay bills, you know, they have a mortgage, rent, utilities, you know, we all have to get money and go to jobs. Well, the other side doesn't have that kind of economy, they work on things that they love to do. And this girl, what she loved was this particular era of Earth history. She was what we call a historian. If you wanted to learn about this specific time period on Earth, you could go to these castles in Riga Bather experience what it was like, or you could go into these viewing rooms that were in the library, where you could go and talk to someone like her who was an expert in that era of history. So that was unusual. Anything you want to learn about? Yes, well, let me ask you this, again, from talking to a lot of near-death experiences, and even spirituality, you know, professors and teachers about spirituality in ancient texts and things like that. The concept that I've heard is that there is a universal knowledge that people can tap into. Universal knowledge, like the library, you were saying with everyone's life looks like Akashic records in some form or shape or one form. But we have the ability on the other side, to tap into any information that we might want or need, or be interested in, kind of like, you know, quantum physics, quantum physics here and explain everything to you. And you'll know, oh, and you can't express it, but you understood it all. If someone explained it to you, and the other side. So it's kind of interesting, what you're saying like, I'm not sure how that aligns with what you're saying. Have you talked about or heard about that before? Or what are your feelings about that? You know, I've never heard the term Akashic records before. But that's how when I was at an event once and we were talking about that library that I saw, and I had the impression that everything that you wanted to learn, the study that you read about was inside that library. And this person told me that it sounds like you were inside the Akashic records. And the one thing that I can equate that to is, this is God's knowledge. Everything was there, everything was in that building. But I don't know about universal knowledge because all the other planets have their own evolutionary chart too, just like Earth. So I don't know if that library contained all the information about other worlds, or if it was just about life on Earth? So I don't know that. That's a really good question. I don't know. It's interesting. Yes. Because it's not like I've heard these concepts of universal knowledge. They can access universal knowledge, but it's always about Earth. The kingdom. I've never heard anyone say, oh, we want to that advanced spaceship on planet B seven, five. Here like I've never heard that before. Before, but I was curious about that idea. Because again, everything you're saying is very Earth-like, like the contrast and the way that I mean, you know, it was one of my biggest questions that I always ask people who are going to the other side like, what do you do? Are there bars? Do they hang out? Do they dance? And you say no, you can do whatever you want, you can go to music festivals. So

When you send festival music that I like, so you mean to tell me that there are parties with Michael Jackson, Prince, yes. Elvis, you know, Jimi, Jimi Hendrix, Jimi Hendrix. I mean, it's hell going on at Woodstock. Then there's also Mozart and Beethoven, like it's in what they told me it's like, Harry Potter an experience for adults or it's really paradise, absolute paradise. And there are a lot of people who don't want to come here, because coming here is just so different from what it was on the other side. But people want to learn, they want to learn, they want to grow. And so they chose to enter into their lives. And I can't wait to go back. Because you know who I want to meet. I want to meet Bruce Lee. And of course I was, you know, I did a lot of martial arts, a lot of karate, I would have just loved to meet him. And he said something I have in he said in one of my magazines, there are no limits, only obstacles. I thought, well, I absolutely love that. And they, they are just so many people I want to meet, I just can't wait to go back. And here's the last part. My guide took me to a field. And if you can imagine the most wonderful and beautiful wildflower field I've ever seen. Golden, I mean, hills, flowers, just beautiful. So he took me there. Then he left, my guide left. And I was standing there by myself. And suddenly a man appeared in front of me. And I could see his hair, he had brown hair, and I could see his hair, his hands, I saw he was wearing a white robe or a white jacket, with a golden sash around his waist. And he had gold. Colored sandals there hitting his ankles. And he was different from anyone else. Because I couldn't see his face. There was so much light or energy coming from him that I couldn't make out what he looked like. In my opinion, he said I, or someone told me, this is Jesus. And he spoke to me. He said, tell them there is no death. And right after he said that, I woke up in the hospital. And I asked, and everyone was looking at me, you know, they look at you when you're what's going to happen to this man. I said the surgeon, I said, what just happened? So I was trying to see if he could explain to me where I was, what it was, what just happened to me. And that's when I found out that I was dead. He said, we lost you. We lost you for seven minutes. And I couldn't believe it was only seven minutes. Because it seemed like an hour or more passed through this experience. And one thing I want to tell people is that more than anything I want people to know that there is tremendous hope because you lost someone, you lost a friend, or God forbid, you lose a child, or you lose your spouse, they are not really gone. They are just in another place that we cannot access. But this in the end when your life is over, you come back. And the strangest thing is that when you come back and you are with your loved ones again, no time has passed. Because on the other side, side by side, there is no, there is no such thing as time, as we have here. And I don't know how to explain it better. But an age for them is like a month or two. While for us, an age can be 80-90 years or more. So for them, when we leave them, they grieve for us, but it's different from us grieving for them. Because from their perspective, we return shortly. So this was an experience. This was my near-death experience, and we just want your voice to know that there is hope. And there is so much to look forward to more than we know. And God is real. Now, I want to go back for a second, when you were in the life review room, did you feel the perspective of both yourself and someone else during that? Do you know what I have? I don't think there was enough time for him to show me that. But I know that's part of your life review. You feel what others feel if you felt like if you hurt someone, you feel what that person felt. But I didn't actually experience it, I don't know why, I think maybe because I didn't have the opportunity to have the whole life review. They just wanted to show me that. People have life reviews. So they are real. But each of these places they took me to, it seemed like it happened so fast, there wasn't enough time. They just wanted to show me that you have to tell people what this is. Tell them this is happening. Tell them this is real. Tell them that, you know, because this experience was not for me. It was for me to share. This is what I've been doing. Ever since. So. So I have to ask you, you are then 21 years old. And in the 80s, I think 1987. Yes. So near-death experiences are all the rage. Everyone is talking about them in that period of time. I'm being funny, no one. If I said something like that publicly, you're pretty much that lone guy. Well, what did you do with this information? When did you decide to come out of the closet if you were going to do it? Then when did you do it? What did your parents and? Friends? And you know, colleagues, what do you think about this? You know, this is? This is a great question. It took me the better part of a day and a half before I realized what had happened. And my mother, I told my mother, what happened? Because I still, at that time, had no idea. I was very Catholic. And I just didn't know what had happened. And she gave me a book. And I'm sure you've heard of this author named Raymond Moody. Definitely. He wrote a book called Life After. Life, which was published in 1975. And I read a lot of it. And I realized, oh my God, this really happened. And I made the decision to start sharing the story, shortly thereafter, but I have to tell you, for two months after that, after I realized my place, I went through a terrible suicidal depression for two months. Because, I mean, it was so bad, I wouldn't get out of bed. So, because I didn't believe I would be on this planet for many years before my time to cross over. I just didn't understand how I could achieve that here? Knowing what life is really like, at home. And it took two months to realize, oh my God, John, how are you going to do this? Well, when I realized what Jesus told me, he didn't say, you know what, John, I would you like to go ahead and do this. Do you think you can do this with your life? He didn't say that. He said you. You have to tell them that there is no death. So I immediately started telling people, anyone who would listen, and I think for a long time, I took it for granted. That's what I saw. But when I tell people, then you start to realize, you know what, John, I've had a really great experience. Many people's near-death experiences are not this detailed? So it wasn't for me, it was for me to share. And I don't know why. They did it for me. I still don't know. Because I'm not. I'm not Oprah. I'm not you. I don't. I don't have a podcast. I don't have. I don't even have a website. You know, I don't have anything like that. So if they wanted to get this message across, why would they give it to someone to tell someone who has a large audience? So I don't know. I've just tried to share it whenever I could. And now that my story is a little more public, and I have the ability to share it with others. And hopefully my experience will give them the kind of hope that it gave me that there was so much more. God is real. He is actually, he is really and truly loves us. And here's something else I don't know how to do explain either. It's just something from God. But on the other side, you can feel how much God loves you, how much he cherishes you. On Earth, we don't feel that somehow, I don't feel that, I don't know if we're too far away or what, but we don't feel it here. So on the other side, I just can't, I can't wait to come back and experience that. Everything I've been doing in my life is trying to share with anyone who will listen. Now. I mean, it seems to me that it's obvious that this was planned, you planned this before you came out, so you're like, okay, you're going to die at 21, you're going to have this thing. This is part of your life plan as it is. At least it makes sense. That's the case. Yes. But you're right in the sense that it wasn't for you. It was for others to hear. Because all I've heard is that near-death experiences are personal. In the sense that you went off track, you have to get back on track, you can go, you can leave, do you want to leave, do you want to stay? There are a lot of these things, you have to work through some people created hell, because they were Catholic, and they had to go down and go through that and get rid of it. There are many things, all personal, yours are not personal at all. You are taught that you have had a basic tour of heaven, and they are like, without some notes, you will go behind. That's why you are here. And it doesn't seem like there was anything personal in your experience, which is not a bad thing. It's just very unique in the near-death experience. Oh, before I forget, I want to tell your audience one more thing. This just made me want to cry. All our animals make the transition as we do. And when we come back, they are all there. And we never have to lose them again. You know, all your animals, your cats, your dogs, whatever animals you have, they are there. And this was something that the thought was extraordinary. They've heard that from others too. Now, one thing I wanted to ask you, maybe you have an answer to this, maybe you don't. But you were saying that everyone, if they want to learn, they can evolve on this side. It's just slower. And again, I've heard that from several people, both spiritual teachers and near-death experiencers, who say that you can learn on the other side. But it's like, you know, you can't know what swimming is until you jump into the water. I can talk, I can tell you all about swimming, but to jump in, you have to jump and swim. Yes. And I heard one near-death experiencer, or he's actually a pre-birth experiencer. So he remembers before his birth, like the setup for entering his life, like all, the plan or everything. And he said. Himself as a spirit running into another spirit. And he said, holy (7-7-4-2). God, what are you doing? It's kind of like, like you met someone who went to the gym a lot? Hahaha Amazing? How did he lose all this weight? What are you doing? And the other spirit said, oh, I went to Earth. And he's like, man, I want that. Where can I sign up to go to Earth? Like, it's not easy, brothers, and make sure you're careful, you can wear. You can learn a lot when you're there. And that's how he started. It's one of the memories he had from a past life. So it was really interesting. Now, but you say on the other side, you can learn and grow. And if you're interested in things, but you've really evolved here from studies in ancient Vedic texts, and things like that, and in yoga philosophies, you've evolved to a certain place like Jesus or ascended Buddha or ascended masters reach a certain place. Is that the point of being on the other side, or do you have to come down here to super-intensify your development when you're on Earth, or in any physical experience, but Earth is the biggest, apparently, Yale and Harvard experience too. People want to get past a certain place, or they just want to relax and enjoy paradise. Yes, that's a great question. People. They don't have to have a lifetime if they don't want to. Everything is complete, and it's entirely up to them. No one has to live anywhere. In fact, what they told me is that there are many people incarnated on Earth, but they have gone to other planets, but you don't have to, in, in the place where they took me, was it like being on a campus. You know how all the buildings are in one area on campus. That's kind of what my experience felt like. You have this building or you did this, you have this building where you have this r was it or what was it the library, this is where the planetarium. But yes, no one has to come if they don't want to. It's just a matter of experience. And what I've learned in my life. And I think that's why people choose to come here, you learn more, really, when you go through something painful. Because I think, you know, have you learned anything before, when everything was going great, maybe you're still learning. But if you go through something, you get divorced, or a breakup. Or you lose a job, or, you know, you lose a family member, and it's terrible. But when you reach the other side of grief, you have become more than you were before. And you can take that knowledge with you. There was a great quote that I just love from Denzel Washington. He said, you will never see, or you will never see. Behind a cemetery. I just love that. Because no matter what you have in life, whether it's money, things, or possessions, none of that, you don't take anything with you. The only thing you take with you is love, knowledge, and learning, and that stays with you. So I just thought, you know, it's worth entering life to learn. And once you get to the other side of grief, you have become more. And that's the purpose of it. And they did that, and so did your parents and friends when you started talking like this? What happened? Like, did they accept it or not accept it? To this day, I still haven't told my father. But my mother, I guess she knows. I mean, your audience at this point? He can? I don't know. But I know he won't believe it. Definitely, because he's like a devout Catholic. And that's fine. Maybe, maybe one day, I'll be able to share it with him. He's just not at a point now where, because he still goes to church, he goes to Catholic church maybe two or three times a week, and then on Sundays. But my mother, my mother knows everything about it. The first people I told, many people will tell me that, you know, there's no reason for them to believe my story. But there are many people who don't. Many people say it can't be as good as you've portrayed it. And I tell people it's better. Much better than I can describe. You know, I don't even have the words to describe what it was really like. But most people wonder what happens after death? It's the first human fear that is dying. I think they, I think the number, I think it's number two or two. Public speaking. Yes, yes, exactly. Public speaking is number one, actually. And then there's the exhibition. Yes, exactly. So I think a lot of people, this is something they think about, you know, what happens when we die. So the story, I've always shared it. And most people are really open to it. Because they want to know what happens, right? And that's, you know, since I opened this channel, and started talking to spirits like you and and all the other people on the show, people are very curious. And even more so now than in the 80s. Oh, yes. There's a lot more openness about, you know, in the 80s. It was basically Shirley MacLaine, talking about near-death experiences. Yes, she was, yes. And she was, you know, pretty much her job. Hollywood hit. That's what they called it back then. She jumped a big leap by doing it for a lot of people and kind of brought it. And then Oprah did a lot of work on near-death experiencers and channels. And mediums these ideas that were really taboo, and now, people are not just curious about this topic, they are looking for these shows, they are looking to listen. And something really interesting about what you said about your father, the ideas that are fundamental to his story that he told himself are fundamental to his entire existence. If he didn't even think about the idea, what you're saying, it would destroy the foundation on which he built his whole life. And it would be exactly difficult for a human to deal with, especially when they are older. It's much harder. And I, you know, when people you know get stuck or stuck or things like that, in the loops that I do, it seems like you're challenging their faith, their system, it's their foundation. That's what they have. The story, they told themselves to understand the world. And it could be religion, it could be politics, it could be eating meat, it could be a Mac or a PC. It could be anything, and that's why, yes, I mean, I've seen, I don't know if you're a Mac user or a PC user, but the people I apologize to are just like Mac users in the same way, and because it's a foundation, it's one of the healers of their organization for whatever reason. It's amazing, but a lot of people are listening to it and they want to understand that if the people around them don't understand, that's why. Yes, I agree. I agree 100%. And I think my father is an old marine. And he's very set in his ways. In fact, he always encourages me to go to Catholic Church. He always tells me, why don't you go? Why don't you go back to Catholic Catholic Church? So I know he won't be open to it yet, but I hope someday, maybe I will be able to share it with them. Someday, someday, everyone is on their way, friend, everyone is on their own way. And everyone, you know, and the really great thing, I'm sure you don't know if you've encountered this or not, but people who disagree with you, a seed is planted. Yes, a seed is planted and it may not bloom in this lifetime and it may not bloom in five or 10 years, because they start to question. You and I are the same. I mean, I was raised Catholic, so I'm recovering Catholic. And the same questions I asked, I didn't make sense, the scary God, you know, 30 years of what happened to Jesus, you know, born yada, yada, yada, it's the same thing. Yes, what happened in yada yada, these basic understandings were questions I had, and then all those little questions, those little seeds. Yes, eventually they overcame the garden. And I said, this doesn't make sense to me anymore. Now I want to find a new foundational system that feels honest to myself, but also to everyone listening. I mean, you, John, you don't have a book, you have a website, and you have nothing. You're just trying. If anything, you're putting yourself out there, basically, to be ridiculed, for no other reason, you really want to share your story. And that's what I find so beautiful and authentic is that you really have nothing to gain from this. That's right. Yes, you really don't. I mean, if anything, you open yourself up to ridicule and other things like that, and attack, but you just didn't want to screw up, you just want to share, share your story with people and give people hope and understanding about what happens on the other side. So I really appreciate you doing that, my friend. I'm very grateful that you chose me to come on the show. I had a great time. And Alex, you're great at this. You're very skilled at this business. You have great questions. And I your stories are great. And thank you so much for inviting me. I appreciate it. And I want to ask you some questions. I ask all my guests. What is your definition of living a good life? You know what I think living a good life has to do with having family in your life. Because I learned that you learn material and material things, none of that matters. The only thing that matters is your love for people, trying to make a difference in your life, trying to help people as much as you can. And being there for others. The part about feeling pain, not just pain, it teaches you, but you also have the opportunity to share it with others, to teach people what you've learned from your pain to help make their lives a little easier. That's how I'll answer that. How do you know God? That's a great question. And when I was on the other side, there is definitely a God. And Native Americans call him the Great Spirit. And I think that's how I would define him. He is definitely there. We are all created by God in a spark of creation. So he is definitely there. And God is the only emotion I can really explain is that he is all love. God is all love. And he wants the best for us. And he created the other side, our absolute home, paradise, but also created the full dynamic of being able to come to age and experience things that you cannot experience on the other side. So it's all about love, experiencing everything, about learning. And he has always been present. On the other side, you feel this tremendous sense of love, security, and peace. That's why it was hard for me to come back from there because I wanted to go back there, right? I didn't want to be here anymore. But I got the feeling that I had to do it. I had to share my story because of what they told me. But that's how I define God. A complete entity, our Father, and what is the ultimate purpose of life? I think the ultimate purpose of life is to count, to stand for something, to develop your talent, because I truly believe that God has given us all gifts. And our job is to develop those talents. And then to give them away. I always think of Pablo Picasso, an artist who said something I'll never forget. He said: the meaning of life is to find your gift. And the purpose of life is to give it away. So I think, based on that, I agree with him 100%, find your gifts, develop them, share them with the world, and make the world a better place. Do you have? And do you have farewell messages for the audience? I think the biggest thing I want people to take away is that there is tremendous, tremendous hope. No matter how hard life gets, no matter how many experiences you have. And even when you think you've reached the end of your rope, just tie a knot and wait. Because it will get better. It always gets better. And let God and the other side give you the strength and give you the courage to keep going. Because when you finish this age, and you come back, it's like surviving a war. And you will be very proud of yourself, of what you have accomplished and what you have achieved. So stick with it, don't give up. Give it your all. And hope is limitless. There was a quote that I love to buy from Admiral, Admiral William McRaven, you may have heard of him. He said hope is the belief that tomorrow will be better. And it will be. And knowing on the other side, knowing how beautiful that home is. That will give you the courage to keep facing each and every day and moving forward. And on that note, my friend, I appreciate you coming on the show and sharing your knowledge and doing the good work that you've been doing all these years since you had your near-death experience. Again, I appreciate you so much for coming on the show, my friend. Thank you again. Thank you so much for hosting me, Alex. I had a great time. Thank you!
