If you're taking notes today, the title of my sermon is come back. Come back. Everyone say come back. One more time. Say come back. Come back.

Today we're talking about this concept of coming back. And you guys understand what it means more as we get deeper into our into my sermon. But God wants you to come back. And what I mean by that is sometimes in life, we're in a place in God and then we grow and then we get busy. Things happen and we begin to to just get busy. We're not like consciously leaving God. We're not consciously leaving the things that God has put in our heart. We're not consciously leaving what God wants to do through us. We're not consciously leaving our convictions. But God's like, "Hey, like I want you to come back to me your first love. I want you to come back to me in the original way you came to me." And it's really this concept of gratitude. It's it's not a concept of like, "Oh, coming back to rededicate your life to God." But coming back to God is a form of gratitude. Anytime something returns back to God is showing God thanks and it's showing God gratitude. So I just want you to know that when God does something in your life, make sure you come back. When God does a miracle for you, make sure you come back. When God does a healing for you, make sure you come back. When something great comes your way, make sure you come back. And if you come back to God, it lets God know that you are grateful, that you are thankful, and that he does matter to you in a deep way. So, make sure you come back.

If you have your Bibles, let's jump straight into it. Go to Luke 17. We're going to start at the 11th verse. Luke 17. We're going to start the 11 verse. You guys are there, say, "Ready?" Three people. Let's go. Let's go. Okay. Luke 17:1 and it says, "Now it happened as he went to Jerusalem, he passed through the midst of Samaria and Galilee. Then as he entered a certain village, there he met 10 men who were lepers who stood a far off. And they lifted up their voices and they said, "Jesus, Master, have mercy on us." So when he saw them, he said to them, "Go show yourselves to the priest." And it was that as they went, they were cleansed. And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, returned, and with a loud voice glorified God, and fell down on his face at his feet, giving him thanks. And he was a Samaritan. So Jesus answered and said, "Were there not 10 cleans? But where are the where are the nine? Where where I mean where there not were there not any found who returned to give glory to God except this foreigner? And he said to him, "Arise, go your way. Your faith has made you well."

Wow. Wow. Wow. So, we we we've been I I picked a couple stories because they they had similarities and and they had um continuity. They were parallel. So, I picked a couple stories so we can kind of catch this rhythm and catch this pattern. Over the last couple of weeks, I preached over the last two weeks. This is the third part. And it's this story of Jesus doing healings and Jesus doing miracles and Jesus showing up for people that that wasn't his disciples, people that wasn't in church, people that was broken, disenfranchised, lost, people that was far from God. And the reason why I wanted to uh point out these stories is Jesus loves everybody. Jesus loves everybody. He's not selective. And if you have faith and you're hungry and you're desperate for Jesus, Jesus will touch you. He will meet you. He will heal you. Faith is the great equalizer. Equalizes all of us. And these 10 lepers, they was all together. Now, why was 10 lepers together? I'll tell you why 10 lepers were together. They were together because typically we surround ourselves with people that mirror our condition. We surround ourselves with people that remember our condition. So, so typically you don't just see one of something, you see multiples because we typically get around people that that that that share our condition because we feel like they can empathize with us and and we can talk and there's a there's a synergy there and sometimes being around people that don't share our condition is hard to be around because it challenges our condition on a daily basis and it could bring conviction or it could even bring shame. So there was 10 lepers together and like everybody they're hearing about Jesus healing people and the Bible says they was afar and the reason why there was afar is because lepers weren't allowed to be in the city. They was on outside of Jerusalem. They couldn't be in the heart of the city. They had to be on the outside. And to be a leper was devastating. It was when you have these big bumps and these big critters and these big scars and these big wounds all over your body. It was a flesh eating disease and it would come to eat your flesh and it was so hard to be a leper. I want to tell you that the flesh eating disease was so bad that it would sometimes eat their fingers off and many times they would be missing fingers. Many times there would be missing toes and and all kind of vital parts of their body would would start falling off because this condition would start eating against it. And it was miserable to be a leper. It was shameful to be a leper. And not only did the they have these big soores on them, but it also had a stitch. It had a smell. You could be 10, 15 feet back and you could smell a leper before you saw a leper because the stitch was so strong and it was so thick. And they was disconnected from their family. They was disconnected from their kids. They was disconnected from their spouse. You couldn't be around them. They was deemed ceremonially unclean. You couldn't even be in their midst. And here's the difference between a leper and a drug addict. Here's the difference between a leper and maybe someone that was blind. Here's a difference between a leper and maybe someone that was deaf is this. A lot of times if there was deaf then you kind of grew up with this condition. Or if you was blind you kind of grew up with this condition. Or if you were a drug addict and you happen to be homeless it's because you made decisions that landed you in this predicament. But as the leper you can be a kink. As the leper you could be a high priest. As a leper you you can be you could have done everything right. You could have went to college. You could have made the money. You could have had the job. You could have done everything the way it was supposed to been done. And if leprosy came upon you, you lost everything and you did nothing. And then you have to understand, you don't have a mentality that that eased you into this condition. You didn't have drugs and then you and then your mind was kind of going down as your as your status was going down. No, you could have been on top and in a moment you were at the bottom. And just because you was a leopard on me, you didn't still feel like LIKE YOU WERE SOMEONE on the inside. Just because you was a leper, you still felt like a husband. Just because you was a leper, you still felt like a father and you traded your identity for leprosy. Wow. And this is what these guys experienced. And this is what they went through. And you're mad because YOU'RE FULLY IN YOUR RIGHT MIND. You You have full awareness of who you are. You You made nothing wrong. You could have been rich and been a leper. Wow. And now you're sitting here and you're disenfranchised and you're removed from the community because of this condition. And there was no cure. There was no medicine and no one can heal it. It was awful. And it was so awful and ashamed that if someone got within a couple of feet of you, YOU WOULD HAVE TO SCREAM UNCLEAN. And then more people walked by, YOU WOULD HAVE TO SAY UNCLEAN. AND IF SOMEONE ELSE came by, YOU WOULD HAVE TO SAY UNCLEAN. You had to announce you was unclean or they would have removed you from the outside of Jerusalem. Which means that no longer could you say, "Hey, my name is KJ." NO LONGER COULD YOU SAY, "HEY, MY NAME IS TIM OR my name is Sarah OR MY NAME IS TISH." YOU HAD to say your name was unclean. That that became your identity. That became your label. And that's what it was like to be a leper. So imagine the desperation that you would have. And not only when you had leprosy, your whole body went numb because it killed your nerves, which means you couldn't feel anything. If you if you if you bumped into something and cut your arm, you wouldn't even know you were bleeding out because you couldn't feel nothing. You were physically numb. But sometimes when you're missing a condition, physically is hiding emotionally. Come on. So though they were physically numb, they were probably emotionally in pain, emotionally in terror, emotionally high sense, their senses was heightened. They could feel extra emotionally because you couldn't feel nothing physically. And they felt rejection, shame, and pain. But then Jesus came and they said, "Jesus, have mercy on us." And Jesus loves when people say that because he delights in showing mercy. [applause] He delights in it. But Jesus, like many of his miracles, he did this miracle so unusually. He didn't lay hands on the guys. He didn't even tell them, "Hey, let your leprosy be cleansed." No, no, no, no, no. Jesus said, "Go show yourself to the priest." Now, why would Jesus say that? Because the priest couldn't heal you. The priest didn't have no medicine. They didn't have nothing that they could do that could take away this condition. So why would Jesus say, "Go show yourself to the priest when there was nothing the priest can do. Better yet, it's the priest's fault that you're out here. They're the ones that banned you from the city. So why would Jesus send you back to the priest?" Well, the reason why Jesus sent them back to the priests is because only the priest could restore your identity. If you were ceremonially unclean, only the priest could make you ceremonially clean again. Only he could cleanse you and give you your identity back. So Jesus said, "Not only am I going to heal your leprosy, I'm going to send you to the place that heals your identity. Not only am I going to heal the leprosy, I'm sending you to the place that heals the identity. I need you to GO TO THE PRIEST SO THE PRIEST CAN KNOW what I've done for you. So now your identity COULD BE HEALED. YOUR STATUS could be healed. Your positioning could be healed. So you can return HOME NOW. YOU CAN GO BACK HOME. NOW WE'RE NOT JUST GOING TO PUT A BAND-AID ON THIS. I'M NOT JUST FIXING your skin. I'M FIXING YOUR IDENTITY. GO SHOW YOURSELF TO THE PRIEST. GO SHOW THE PEOPLE THAT BANNED YOU that you're welcome back. Now, [applause] but here's the deal. That sounds great. But when he sent them to the priest, they was still full of leprosy. And if you ask me to show myself to the priest, I need you to cleanse my leprosy. And Jesus didn't do that. He says, "I need you to go show yourselves to the priest." And they had to travel to the priests with leprosy. And then the Bible says, "As they went, they were cleansed." As they went, they were cleansed. As they went, they were cleansed. As they went, they were cleansed. As they went, they were cleansed. They wasn't cleansed to go. No, they went, then they were cleansed. And so many times in our life, we're waiting on Jesus to heal something or fix something or cleanse something so we can go somewhere. And Jesus said, "No, I'm waiting on you to go somewhere so I can heal something and I can fix something and I could cleanse something and I can make something whole." Jesus is saying AS YOU GO THEN YOU GROW. As you go then you grow. AS YOU GROW. AS YOU GO THEN I CLEANSE. Jesus is saying the miracle happens in motion. The miracle happens in motion. And many of you guys haven't seen a miracle cuz you ain't got no motion. [cheering] THAT AS YOU [screaming] GO THE MIRACLE starts to happen. THAT AS YOU STEP OUT IN FAITH, THE MIRACLE starts to happen. THAT AS YOU START THE BUSINESS, the miracle starts happening. That as you start the ministry, the miracle starts happening. That as you STEP OUT ON FAITH AND TRUST GOD, THE MIRACLE STARTS HAPPENING. IN OTHER WORDS, YOU don't get a miracle to get motion. You move in motion to get a miracle. [cheering] [applause] Because a miracle sometimes is is motion activated. And God says, "When you give me motion, I'll give you manifestation." But you won't see manifestation until you go. And my question is, if the Bible says as they went, they were cleansed, what would have happened if they didn't go? Wow. Wow. And maybe you're in a circumstance right now in your life because you didn't go. Maybe you're in a circumstance because you didn't move. Maybe you can get healed from that heartbreak because you didn't walk away. Maybe you can get healed from the drug addiction because you didn't put it down. Maybe you didn't get healed from alcoholism because you couldn't pour the drink out. The Bible says as they went, they were healed. And I just want to encourage you that sometimes God's not going to put you together. He's not going to reconstruct you and make everything perfect for you to step out on faith. Why? because he has to give you faith. He has to give you faith. He has to give you faith. And all 10 of these lepers, they all had faith because every last one of them went to show themselves as they were full of critters all over their body and soarses all over their body. And Jesus didn't say, "Go let the priest see you." He said, "Show yourself." It's one THING TO BE SEEN. It's another thing to go and show. And you're asking me to SHOW MYSELF. HOW DO I SHOW MYSELF WHEN I HATE MYSELF? HOW DO I SHOW MYSELF WHEN I'M FULL OF SHAME? HOW DO I SHOW MYSELF WHEN I'M FULL OF GUILT? YOU'RE ASKING ME TO SHOW THE THING that I'm most embarrassed about? What happens when God asks you to show yourself when you're not even comfortable being yourself? [applause] And they had to go to the priest willing to show him a condition they despised. And sometimes sometimes you won't have it all together. It won't be fixed up. It won't be where you want it to be. And God will ask you to go show yourself. There's times at your job where you're still struggling and you're not put together. And God is say, "Hey, I need you to go show yourself. I need you to let the people see what I'm doing in your life. Let them see the miracle that's happening in your life. Let them see the healing that's happening in your life." Jesus will ask you to show yourself when you don't even like yourself. And he said, "Go show yourself to the priest." And the reason why he said that is because the priest would restore their identity and he would restore it to where they can go back to their family and he would deem them free of leprosy. And they went and they showed themselves. But then something happened. And here's what happened. The Bible says one of them when he realized that he was fully healed and he realized his leprosy was gone, the Bible says he ran back to Jesus to give thanks. [applause] And the Bible says he cried out with a loud voice to give thanks. And here's the thing you have to see is yeah, they cried out when Jesus was passing by and they cried out to get healed, but he cried out louder to give praise. They cried out to get healed, but he cried out louder to get praised. And I just got a question for you, Radiant Church. Is your praise report louder than your prayer request? [cheering] Come on, because sometimes WE CAN GET LOUD IN OUR prayer requests, but then we're silent in our praise report. And I just want to make sure you keep that same energy. JUST MAKE SURE WHEN YOU RETURN WITH YOUR PRAISE, IT IS AS LOUD AND AS AGGRESSIVE AND AS DESPERATE AS YOUR PRAYER WAS. [applause] Make sure your praise match your prayer because this man came back louder after he got the blessing than he did when he was asking for the blessing. And he came back to give thanks. And this is what gratitude is, church. It's coming back to give thanks. It's coming back to give thanks. It's coming back to give thanks. It's coming back to give thanks. The man came back to give thanks. Gratitude is coming back to give thanks. Do you go back to give thanks? Because it's easy to not have gratitude. It's easy to ease out of gratitude. You have to go back to give thanks. And this man went back and give and he gave thanks. And the reason why he went back and he gave thanks is because he wasn't so busy that he forgot who blessed him. Come on. [applause] [cheering] You can get so busy that you forget who blesses you. That you that that so many times God will give us favor. And it's the SAME FAVOR THAT GOD GAVE US THAT causes us to forget him. My God. My goodness. DON'T ALLOW THE FAVOR of God to CAUSE YOU TO FORGET GOD. BECAUSE MANY OF you guys are walking around with his favor all alone while forgetting him. Don't let his favor cause you to forget him. Don't get so busy with the healing that you forget about the healer. Don't get so busy with the blessing that you forget about the blesser. Don't get so busy being restored that you forget about the restorer. Don't get so busy that God made a way that you forget about the way maker. DON'T GET SO OCCUPIED WITH YOUR MIRACLE THAT YOU FORGET ABOUT the miracle worker. DON'T GET SO ENGROSSED INTO THE PROMISE THAT YOU FORGET ABOUT THE PROMISEKE KEEPER. JUST BECAUSE YOU GOT GOD'S BLESSING, DON'T FORGET GOD. AND MANY TIMES WE'RE SO BUSY WITH HIS BLESSING that we FORGOT HIM. And I just want to remind you, church, don't forget. DON'T FORGET. DON'T FORGET where God has brought you out of. Don't forget that God healed you. Don't forget that he restored the marriage. Don't forget that you couldn't pay your bills and now your bills is paid. Don't forget that you were sick and now YOU'RE HEALED. BECAUSE SOMETIMES WE GET AMNESIA. And I want to ask you, DON'T FORGET, YEAH, YOU MAY LOOK CUTE NOW, BUT YOU WEREN'T ALWAYS CUTE. THERE WAS A TIME THAT YOU WAS SNOTTING, AND THERE WAS A TIME THAT YOU WAS CRYING, AND THERE WAS A TIME YOU FELT INVISIBLE. AND [laughter] IF IT HAD NOT BEEN FOR THE GOODNESS OF GOD, you wouldn't be here today. DON'T FORGET. DON'T FORGET. DON'T FORGET. And God said in Deuteronomy, God said in Deuteronomy, he said, "Don't let your bellies get so full. Don't let your houses get so beautiful. Don't let don't let your hurts multiply so much. Don't let your gold and silver increase so much that you forget who blessed you." Come on now. That's so good. These men sat disenfranchised for years REJECTED AND THEY CRIED out unclean and they forgot the one that cleansed them. My God. My God. Now before you judge them too hard, I want to point out a couple things. The first thing is all of these men had faith. They had faith to show themselves to the priest full of leprosy. They went before they was cleansed. So don't forget they had faith. But even though they had faith, they still forgot. You can have faith in one season and forget about God in another season. Yeah. Now, let's be careful to not judge them too harshly that they forgot. Because if you sat here and if I said if you had a a a a condition that was unlivable and unbearable, would you return to give God praise? Every last one of you guys would say, "Yeah, but let's slow it down." They go and show themselves to the priest there. He and there's a there's deep theology here, so I'm not even going to get into all of it. But they go and show themselves to the priests. He restores their identity. And guess what that means? They can go back and see their wife now. They can go back and see their kids now. [applause] They can go back and see their business now. They can go back and see their lands now. They can go back and see their parents now. So, it wasn't like they just didn't care. It was that God, you blessed me and now I'm about to go enjoy the blessing. I'm about to go see my wife. I'm about to go see my kids. I'm about to go see my parents. I'm about to go see my lands. I'm about to go see my properties. God, you bless me. And now I'm about to go and see the blessing. I ain't seen my kids in 10 years. I ain't seen my kids in 15 years. I'm going to go back and see my family. And that's admirable. And that's why I said don't judge them too harshly because you probably would have done the same. You would have wanted to run back to everybody that you were disconnected from. Yeah. Come on. Come on. And there ain't nothing wrong with that. But the only problem is you should have first ran back to the one that reconnected you. YOU SHOULD HAVE FIRST RAN BACK TO the one that healed you. YOU SHOULD HAVE FIRST RAN BACK TO THE ONE that restored you. YOU SHOULD HAVE FIRST RAN BACK TO the one that redeemed you. You should have came TO HIM FIRST. GOD LIKES TO BE FIRST. AND LET me tell you, GOD HAD A PROBLEM WITH IT BECAUSE WHEN HE CAME BACK, JESUS SAID, "WHAT THERE? WAS THERE NOT 10?" IN OTHER WORDS, JESUS SAID, "WHERE'S THE REST OF THEM?" And the rest of them was so busy enjoying the blessing that they didn't return back to the blesser. Were there not 10? And I just got a question for you, church. Do you come back when he healed you? Did you come back when he restored you? Did you come back when he put your marriage back together? Did you come back? You were lost and you was on drugs and you was on fire for God and nobody could beat you to the church. Do you come back? There were seasons where you serve God and now you're like, "I'm too busy to serve God." Do you come back? There were seasons where you were on your knees every morning praying and giving God thanks and glory, but now you're a professional Christian and you ain't got to come back now. And what Jesus is saying is he's saying it's not that you don't love me no more. It's just you don't love me first no more. [cheering] [applause] Because you're so used to being blessed that you forgot about the blesser. You're so used you're so used to walking in the promise that you forgot about the promise maker. And the thing you have to realize when you get blessed and don't miss this, the healing wasn't the prize. He was [applause] that the redemption isn't the price. He is. that the financial breakthrough ain't the price. He is. That the new house ain't the prize. He is. That the bigger that that the better car ain't the price. He is. What they forgot is this. He's the prize. He's the prize. It's not the stuff. And so many times we can get so busy enjoying his stuff that we forget to enjoy him. He's the prize. One leper realized something that the others didn't. The prize wasn't having my identity back and being restored to my family. Yes, that's a blessing. I'm going to enjoy that. I'm gonna love my family. I'm gonna serve them. But God, you're the prize. You're the prize. That that that I can be in relationship with you. That that I can be in communion with you, that I can have closeness with you. You are the prize. And coming back is a sign of gratitude. And all throughout the Bible, gratitude is coming back. Do you come back to the God that healed you? Do you come back to the God that restored you? Do you come back to the God that made you whole? Do you come back? Everything we do is designed for us to come back. And if you look at the story, you can even see symbolism in the story because there was 10 and one came back. What does that show us? It's the principle of actually the tithe. We see it in this story because God blesses us with 10 and what happens? One comes back and it's a picture of gratitude. So when we give to God and we serve to God, when you come and you volunteer your time, you saying God, thank you for this time and now time comes back. That's good. Even when you give God praise, praise is different than worship because worship is exclusive. Praise is inclusive. Worship is exclusive. Which means everyone's not always in a place to worship because the Bible says in John 4, the father is seeking people that will worship him in spirit and in truth. Sometimes you got to elevate to get to that place to worship in spirit into truth. So worship sometimes it takes time to get there. But praise is for everybody. [applause] There is no requirement for praise. The Bible says let EVERYTHING THAT HAS BREATH PRAISE the Lord. ALL YOU NEED IS BREATH TO give God praise. All you need is breath to give God glory. ALL YOU NEED IS BREATH to to praise God. And this man came back and gave praise. And why did he say, "Let everything that have breath praise the Lord?" It's because when I created you, I [clears throat] blew breath inside of you. AND WHEN YOU PRAISE ME, YOU BLOW BREATH BACK at me. You're giving back what I first gave you. When you give God a shout of praise, can we give him a shout of praise in this place? [cheering] [applause] Thank you, God. That's a word. Let everything that has breath praise the Lord. So gratitude is giving back to God what God first gave to you. And I want to show you something. Two things and then I'm done. The first thing I want to show you is this. Gratitude is different than faith. Because 10 had faith and 10 got healed. But then one came back to give gratitude and thanksgiving. And then Jesus said this to this one. He said, "Your faith has made you whole." See, 10 got healed, one was made whole. 10 got healed. One was made whole. [cheering] And the thing you must see in this story is this. You must see that every last one of them got their skin cleansed, but one got his soul cleansed. [cheering] [applause] that he didn't just get his skin fixed, he got his soul fixed. It's one thing to be healed. It's another thing to be made whole. And to be made whole meant he was complete. He received complete salvation. He was transformed. That the internal condition of him was transformed under the power of God. He was restored. He was salvaged. He was made whole. You don't JUST WANT TO BE HEALED. You want to be whole. And Jesus was saying, "Hey, as you go show yourself to the priest and you follow my instruction, that'll get you healed. But when you come back to give gratitude, that'll make you whole." So good. So good. So, so what do you want? You want to be healed or do you want to be whole? You can have both, but what do you want? I want to tell you, being whole is more important than being healed. Being healed is great. It's is great, but being whole is everything. It's a internal condition. When he went back, he connected with Jesus. Salvation hit that man's life. He was transformed. He would never be the same. [applause] You can get new skin and still walk in sin. You can get new skin and still walk in sin. You can get new skin and still go to hell. Yeah, you can get new skin and still be broken. Because what those guys didn't realize is they needed more than their skin fixed because you sat outside. You lost your family. You was broken. You was hurt. You had to scream unclean. You was lonely. You had to beg for food. You're broken on the inside. You needed more than your skin cleansed. You needed to be made whole and restored. [applause] Because here's what happened to the other nine. The other nine went back to the community. Healed on the outside while still broken on the inside cuz he just cleansed their skin. But when you return back, he heals your soul. And this is gratitude. This is gratitude. There's some people you're going to come at the altar and you're going to have an encounter. And guess what? Jesus is going to touch everybody equally at that encounter. You're going to get touched like everyone else is going to get touched and you're going to get healed like everyone else get heals. But when you come back, he makes you whole. And this is the power of gratitude. It's always coming back. God, I'll come back. God, after you restore me, I'll come back after you fix my problems. I'll come back, Lord. After you fix my money, I'LL COME BACK. AND THE DANGER OF THIS WORLD IS most Christians cannot do anything for Jesus because he been too good to them. Just to think if if he would have never healed them of leprosy, they all probably would have sat there and worshiped him. It was actually the blessing that robbed them of the blesser. And maybe some of you guys in here have been praying for a blessing and you're like, "Lord, where you at?" And then he's saying, "It's actually my goodness." Because if I gave you the blessing, you would exit the blesser. So we have to have gratitude and we have to be grateful to God. We have to have gratitude. We have to be grateful. We have to come back and have gratitude and be grateful. As my MD comes up, we have to have gratitude and be grateful. We have to have gratitude and be grateful. We have to have gratitude and be grateful. I want to share a story of gratitude that I have to the Lord. Um yesterday I was coming back from Dallas, me and my family, me and my wife and my daughter. And God is so good. We're in Dallas and um you know, we gas up we gas up our vehicle and as we gas up our vehicle, it's fel like the Holy Spirit was just kind of speaking to me. And I was like, "Lord, what is this?" So, I go and I just kind of, you know, as we're gassing up the vehicle, I look around my truck. I check my tires. I make sure everything is good. Everything looks good. Okay, Lord. Okay, everything looks good. You know, we're good. And at this point, I'm getting ready to kind of, you know, tighten up on my sermon. So, I drove up there and I drove all around there. So, I asked my wife like, "Hey, you know, you mind driving back so I can just kind of, you know, read my Bible and pray over my message and stuff?" She's like, "No problem." And and I'm kind of going back and forth with that a little bit, but I'm like, you know, it' be nice to just be able to go home and go to sleep and, you know, not have to be up all night reading my Bible. I can do it on the drive back. And uh we're driving back and everything is kind of going good. But I don't know, maybe 30 minutes in the trip, I'm kind of just in the back, you know? Well, not in the back. I'm in the front with my seat back. You know what I'm saying? And lean back, you know, chilling. And I feel like the Holy Spirit like spoke to me and I and I and I'm trying to make out. I hear God a lot, but I'm trying to make out this God or is this the enemy? And I just hear something that's like, "Hey, your your tires going to pop." You know, you hear something like that, you like, "I rebuke you, devil. You shun the love of a devil." and you you like you f to break out like don't play. So I hear it in my head. So I'm like, ah. So I kind of just kind of rebuke it off, but it's kind of weird. I've heard God a lot and this this don't feel like the enemy when he comes. It just it feels like a fear and a pressure and and it just feels like it feels evil. I can just feel when it's the devil. It didn't feel like none of that. It felt like warning and it felt like instruction. So now I'm just sitting there and as I'm sitting there [music] again, I get the thought again and I couldn't I couldn't move off of it. I couldn't get back to my message. The thought is lingering. And I'm like, okay. So I was like, okay, well, why is this coming to me? If my tire pops, what am I supposed to do? And then as I got there, I got to thinking about it. And literally I had a like a vision of what to do. And and this sounds dangerous, but it was to hit the seat belt off, turn on the emergency blinkers, and grab the wheel. Because I I've been driving trucks a lot. It ain't really what my wife drives. I know how to kind of manhandle those trucks a little bit, you know, cuz when something crazy happens, you don't want to overcompensate or slam on the brakes or do nothing crazy. So I'm like, man, this is insane that I'm having these thoughts. And then again, it comes back up. So now I'm thinking about So I have this like sequence in in my mind. Literally in my mind, it's like seat belt, emergency lights, grab wheel, seat belt, emergency lights, grab wheel, seat belt, emergency lights, grab wheel. And this is going through my head for 30 minutes. So finally, we're we're just driving and you know, we probably get down an hour, hour and a half. And you know, my wife, she like switch lanes. And I told her, I was like, "Hey," I said, "Um, you know, can you get back in the left lane and just be modest?" I said, "Just drive modest. Like just don't switch lanes. drive modest and she kind of looking like like why? And I didn't want to say cuz I just felt like something was going to happen to our tire. You know, I'm a creepy person. So, I was just like, you know, just just be modest. I was like, I don't know. You just be modest. And and yeah, so we're driving. We get to about New Boston, Texas. And we're probably going, you know, interstate state speed. I don't know what that is. 75, 80 miles. And I hear the loudest gunshot. Boom. And immediately, not a flinch, not a second, not a millisecond, SEAT BELT OFF, EMERGENCY LIGHTS, grab the wheel, the truck is spinning out of control. It's about to flip. Goes up on two wheels this way and it's fast. I have never It's like the roller coaster you ain't never seen. It just And it JUST STARTS GOING CRAZY AND WE'RE AT full speed. I look in the back, I see my little daughter terrified. And this wouldn't be so emotional for me if she wasn't in the back. And I see her and she's terrified and she's so scared. And all I can think about is, man, this truck is about to flip. [music] It's going out of control on one side. It's about to it's about to go off the road where there's a tree or the other side. It's going to hit this fence and go into the other lane and [music] it's spinning crazy. Uh, as I look back, there's two diesels coming and you know, I grab this wheel and I'm trying to harness the truck from flipping and it's flipping over this way. So, I [music] kind of gently correct it back this way and it comes down. It's flipping this way and it just felt like an eternity where we're just back and forth, back and forth. And I'm trying to keep this thing down and man, my my thoughts are going so fast because it wasn't like it was just suddenly happened. [music] The Lord's already showed me that this moment was coming and I'm sitting here and I'm thinking like, man, I couldn't get I never could like get control of it. So, I'm like, do I just try to jump in the back and protect my baby? But then what about my wife? God protect her. I'm not in the seat belt. So if this thing flipped, man, I'll probably go out the window over 70 80 miles. I don't know what to do. And I'm just internally crying out to God. [music] And and I grabbed the wheel and I like jump like on my wife's lap. And I'm just guiding this wheel left to right, left to right. And the truck is going crazy. And finally, it starts settling. And we're going to go now to the fence to the other lane. And we finally settled in. My wife was amazing cuz I've always taught her. I don't know why I have these weird conversations. If anything [music] ever happens crazy in a vehicle, don't slam on the brakes. Do not slam on the brakes. Just take your foot [music] off the pedal and just let it go. And that's what she did. She was a rock star. And she did that. Shout out to her. [applause] [music] And we were able to slow that vehicle down. And we're able to slow it down. and we're able to get the safety [music] on the side of the road. And this is what happened to my tire. I just want to show y'all. This is what happened to my tire. So, my tire has like like big mud tires, like clusters on it. And literally, there's nothing on it. It's not a regular tire. If you look, it has big like knobs on it. It's mud tires and everything stripped off. There's a gash right here in the middle of the tire. And we were And this happened at full [music] speed. And it was traumatic and I knew that my life flashed before me right there in the second. [music] And if it had not been for the goodness of God and the mercy of God, and I just want to come back this Sunday morning to say, God, that I am grateful and God, I am thankful and I will praise you always and I will worship you always. And as LONG AS YOU'RE WORTHY, GOD, I'LL GIVE YOU PRAISE. And you are always worthy, Lord. I give you praise, Lord. I give you honor and I give you praise. Yes, [applause] cuz I know I could have lost my life last night. Something could have happened to my wife or my daughter. And [music] God, I just want to say that I'm grateful for you, Lord. I'm so [applause] grateful. And I know you all have had moments like this in your life. [music] And there's people that's been in that scenario. And I talked to the officer, a friend of mine, she the one came and she was just like, "You got best [music] case scenario." Every direction. It was like every direction was this is supposed to end horribly. And the Lord gave me divine wisdom. He told me immediately, "Take off the seat belt so I can go steer this wheel." When I turned on the emergency lights, the people behind me, they were notified of something wasn't happening to slow down. And I had all this in my head because God foreseen what was going to happen. And he had a plan for his people to cover us and protect us. [applause] [cheering] [music] And I believe my vehicle is toted. I lost my vehicle. But hey, we got our souls. We're in our right mind. We have the activity of our limbs. CAN WE GIVE GOD PRAISE?
