You have this nagging feeling that you need to do something to get that bad cholesterol under control, but don't know where to start. I know exactly how you feel. This was me almost 20 years ago when I walk into the doctor's office to find out that I had high LDL cholesterol. After years of research and trial and error, I finally found the way and the formula to reduce your LDL cholesterol naturally and in less than 10 days. I got my LDL numbers less than a hundred, and also my total cholesterol went from two hundred and eight to a hundred and four. And I did this by these simple changes in formula that I'm gonna share with you in this video. So stay tuned until the end.
First thing you need to ask is, are your genes part of the reason why your LDL cholesterol is high? In my personal experience, they are. I have a genetic predisposition for high cholesterol. It runs in my family. It's something I cannot really change, but I cannot just what I eat in order to manipulate those genes. So if you don't know if you are predisposed for this genetic mutation, I recommend you to talk to your doctor and try to get the tests done so you'll find out more details about it. If you do not have a predisposition and your family doesn't have a history of high cholesterol, then you're in luck because it will be a lot easier for you with the simple steps to actually lower your cholesterol.
Have you ever been tested for this mutation? Let me know in the comments below. Yes, I have. And if you have, I will love you to share with me what were the results and what did you learn through this process of getting tested.
If your genes aren't the culprit of your high cholesterol, then this is exactly what you need to do to help you reduce it and protect yourself from heart disease. Step number one, I want you to keep track of all the foods you eat during the next three to four days. Why? We want to make sure that we have an exact idea of what are you eating. With this, we gain clarity and we can actually do what comes in to step number two. So step number one, during the next three to four days, no judgment. You know, even if your schedule is not normal, I want you to track what you've been eating for the next three to four days and write them back. Then we go to step number two.
Step number two is, let's look at how much fat are you actually consuming. This can be done if you eat some prepackaged food, just look at the nutrition label and look at the fat content. We're not looking at calories here, we're focusing on fats because this is what's causing or potentially creating the high cholesterol numbers. They hide bad cholesterol. After we look at that food diary, we can start calculating how much fat we're eating. So if you are eating a lot of cheese, dairy products, fried foods, etc., those all count towards potentially helping your LDL cholesterol numbers go up. If you cook at home, are you cooking with lots of oils? Are you frying a lot of food? These are things that in the long run are adding up and building up in your body.
Now, step number three, we want to reduce and eliminate. Now, this is where the difference is gonna come if you're genetically disposed or not to high cholesterol. For those of you who are genetically predisposed, like me, we want to reduce the amount of fats that we consume, including good fats, for example, nuts, avocados, seeds that have high fat content. And then we want to eliminate for 10 days all dairy products. We want to eliminate all red meat. We want to make sure that we reduce the amount of fish or other animal proteins that we're consuming, just for 10 days, just to help your body understand what you're eating. And also, I want you to increase the amount of fiber that you're eating. Why? That means I want you to increase the amount of fruits that you're eating in a day. I want you to increase or add into your salads things like chia seeds or flax seeds. And then I also would like you to eat a little bit more vegetables and have those high in fiber, high nutrient foods included into your day-to-day eating habits. High fiber is king to lower cholesterol. It's going to clean your system, it's going to flush your system and help it build up the good cholesterol and help it increase the good stuff that's gonna protect you from heart disease.
For those of you who are not predisposed, then it's a little bit easier because you don't need to completely eliminate. You just really need to reduce the amount of fats that you're consuming. Definitely reduce the amount of dairy and milk and cheese products that you eat. Look at the prepackaged foods, make sure that you're looking for things to have high oil content or high fat content and reduce those things, eliminate them if you can, but reduce them. And then you can eat things like avocados that we're gonna keep you full longer, also nuts that are great for you. They have not only a high fat content but fiber. These are foods that are going to help your HDL or good cholesterol go up and help your LDL go down.
So now you know that we are going to keep a food log for three to four days, no judgment. We're gonna look at how much fat we really consume. And because this is where clarity comes, when we track what we're eating, we know how to adjust it. And then we're gonna include more fiber, more fruits into our meals and reduce or completely eliminate the amount of fat that we're consuming.
