Colorado is State. My plan was to get the kitty corner from Washington State, as far as I can go from Washington state was Florida. And originally intended to go Florida to Gainesville. I went to college. He wanted to be near a college campus because that's the kind of victim he was looking for, as a college girl. And so he then ended up in Florida. I think he, he couldn't stop from getting involved again with looking for victims. And Ted was so extremely hungry to kill.

When Ted escaped the second time and ended up down in Florida, and then he had been drinking, and his eye caught this girl going in the back of the cow make it right. Everything or doing my learning stocking thing. And then I saw something else. And that triggered him. And he went in absolutely bizer, absolutely dessert, but totally disorganized, totally unplanned. And when things went wrong.
Foreign going to New York, doing that thing, and getting pushed to the edge with the most sophisticated, uh, explicit pornography available anywhere in this country. Anyway, but we go back. Oh, the West Coast. It was looking like a defeated bye. But before what they call the Shore, Ted seemed to freely go back and forth between the first person and the third person. The first person and the third person and describing himself and his crimes. The Jersey Shore. This is early, like early summer. And so after being more or less detached from people, didn't have any friends, it drove the shore and it the Boston Beach and just see young women lined up along the beach. And it was like today, the overwhelming kind of vision. When Ted says it's an overwhelming sort of vision, I I think he's must be referencing sort of the vision being the transition. All that has been built up to this point was overwhelming. And all of a sudden, this Shangri-La, this this beautiful place at the beach is sort of what he was dreaming of all along. Suddenly becomes his reality. Which you know, eventually. So without really planning anything, except a couple young girls and ended up for the first time in every time. Okay, so that's the first time I've ever heard that. Did it?
[Music]
He was met a couple girls and it wound up being the first time that he ever did it. So what do we mean by did it? I've assumed that he is referencing the murder of Susan Davis and Elizabeth Perry. What else can he mean by did it? He had to do something. He didn't think it. He didn't feel it. He didn't plan it. Because I did it. When a person does that and kills someone, it changes their whole personality. They're different after that. You can't undo. You can't unkill someone.
I got a question. This is something I I wonder about. Supposing it's me and I'm walking down a dark road. I'd say I'd say I'm walking down a dark road and it's completely, you know, afternoon. Somewhere there's nobody for miles around. And walking down the street. I'm gonna play this place tonight. I'm walking down the street and and their house is there, but everybody thought it put asleep. There's somebody in this in the bushes off to the side of the road. They're watching me. When you watch me walk all the way down the street. When I get right to the place where they are behind the bushes, they jump out. Please, they jumped out and they grabbed me and they they dragged me to the bushes. But anyway, the the person starts to rape. Is there anything that I could do to change the outcome? The only thing you could do to change the outside would be screaming quite like hell. I want to get away. That's the only thing. Participation. Nothing. Not that I can imagine. Yeah, you better fight like hell and hope that you've been with it. Did you date at all? They were not living Salt Lake City, particularly. I want dating girl women all the time and having and having just a normal good with them, positive relationships with one felt very comfortable. I'm not gonna be fairly bizarre at times. I say on the one hand, meet a girl and take her home and we could sleep together and enjoy each other. There might be a body in the closet. Wow, that's a that's pretty erotic stuff. But he wasn't and it wasn't the part. It wasn't something to fantasize. It was just something came from. He was having a normal relationship. It doesn't happen to be there was somebody. I mean, they just didn't have to have that time. But that was that's a rather extreme example. But that does illustrate the the rather extraordinary, the splitting. Yeah, I know that biochemistry of study the biochemistry of active. But your behavior, a lot of this, I think makes a lot of sense. The guy Omega business makes sense. A lot of things in Columbia County, knowing how you fueled it with alcohol and what happens with alcohol has a so-called darker Sun. I would think about my darker side, if you will, and it would seem unreal to me. I mean, I just couldn't relate to it. It seemed just totally alien, unreal. And it would be just as alien for me to think about what I had done as it would be for you to think imagine you have done something like that or could I or Norman, you know, reading this book about all these terrible crimes. But I've done that. Yeah, but no, no, I couldn't. But that's how I relate to it. Just as if I had been reading in the book or just seen that unreal to me. I mean, I recognized what had happened, but I just said gosh, you know, and and then some. It would be shipped. And it may or may not have been related to external factors. That often times it was, but not necessarily. A period of time when I was most on top of things and had my relationships all together and was doing very well in school and everything was going fine. I was it was good. Come on, man. And well, that's and it's not. And I won't say it's a split personality or Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. It's hard to explain. It's hard to label or categorize. But it's it's it was as if that I had did it. Like it was like taking a drug with very subtle but very profound consequences.
