So, in this video, I'm going to show you how to make thousands of dollars per month as a Tik Tok shop creator on the platform. I'm going to go through step by step in this tutorial, showing you exactly how to set this up, how to optimize this business for maximum revenue. Uh, and this is all free information, okay? I don't have a course to sell you. This isn't some type of sales pitch. This is free info that you can take and implement in 2025 to generate income for yourself and run it as a business.
Uh, this is one of the best opportunities because there's really no cost to get started upfront. I mean, you don't have to pay someone to learn how to do this. Um, you you don't have to pay for lots of inventory. You're essentially just promoting other people's products as a creator, and you're getting paid every time someone buys something through your link on Tik Tok. So, let's go ahead and get started with it. If you're new here to the channel, make sure you subscribe so you don't miss more videos like this one.
And so the basics of what we're going to talk about here, and I do recommend either following along on your phone, um, or even just writing down some notes because this is going to be a little bit longer, more in-depth. I know you have a lot of other things you could be doing. You could go watch a Mr. Beast video, which would maybe be more entertaining, but I think this is going to be very educational here. So, I'm going to show you the basics of what affiliate marketing is and the concepts of this, of how you're actually generating income. Then, we'll talk about how to apply to be a Tik Tok shop creator. We'll look at some of the requirements and then how you can meet those requirements so that you can get started as fast as possible making money on the platform. I'll show you how to get to your first 5,000 followers on the platform. Some strategies to do that and then finding products to promote. A lot of people ask what should I actually promote and then also people ask what type of niche should I choose? Uh, what category of products should I promote or what should I even make my Tik Tok account about? We'll talk about that. Uh, and then I'll show you how to make viral videos. a basic formula that you can use to create content in large scale. Um, and then finally, we'll talk about optimizing the business. How to scale this to $1,000 a month and then 10,000 or possibly even $100,000 per month.
So, let's start off with the first part of this video, which is going to be setting expectations. Now, I know that the title sounds very interesting and the thumbnail is probably good, but the truth is is that it's going to take a little bit of time to get this up and running, and you're probably not going to make $100,000 in your first month. Uh, in fact, a lot of people aren't going to make any money in their first one to two months because they just need to have enough followers and momentum to get into the Tik Tok shop program. And this is where about 90% of people drop off because they just want to have a paycheck tomorrow. Um, so stick with this and it'll make a lot more sense as we go through it and once it starts to compound.
So in terms of setting expectations, I would say give it at least 30 to 60 days before you even expect to make any money with this. Um, so if you have to pay your rent tomorrow or something, I I wouldn't recommend using this as a strategy cuz this really is a compounding long-term effect that can sometimes, you know, be a year, two years, 3 years before you are really pumping some serious cash. Okay. Okay.
And then in terms of how much this is going to cost you to get started, the essential answer is is is $0. You really shouldn't be paying someone to learn how to do this. Uh, you can do this for free by just watching a video like this. And there's not even really much like software that you need to pay for. Um, you can just set up a basic business or you can even use this under your own personal name. So there's really no cost associated with getting started with this. If you're spending more than like $100 to get started, uh, you're probably wasting money because you can do this for free. Okay.
All right. So before I show you how to apply to the Tik Tok shop affiliate program, uh, let's first cover the basics of what affiliate marketing is and how you are using this strategy to make money. So essentially what you're doing is you are promoting products for other businesses. And every time someone buys a product after watching your video, you will get paid by that company a very small commission. Sometimes between five and 25% commission for every time someone buys something after watching your video and they click on the link in your video.
So for example, let's say that um you have a,000 people watch your video, which I know doesn't sound like very much on TikTok, but let's say a,000 people watch your video and one person purchases a product that you're promoting. Let's say it's this coffee company, which I don't think they're on Tik Tok shop, but it's really good coffee. And let's say that they purchase this coffee. Um, and the coffee costs $30 and they pay a 10% commission. So, they'll give you $3 for every coffee that you are selling through your videos. Um, and so the beauty of this is that this is really one of the most scalable businesses in the world cuz you're not the one creating the product. You're not the one shipping out the product and sending it through the mail and dealing with warehouses and all these other things and customer service. You're just your only role in this is being the marketer. You are the promoter of the product. And so, uh, the great thing about this is that you really don't have costs associated with it other than just making the content. Um, this is why it's a super high margin business and it's a very lowrisk business to get started with and it's why I think it's the best one to do in 2025.
Now, I know that $3 doesn't sound like a lot of money, but it's really just all about scale. If you have a million views and you get a,000 people to purchase a product and you're getting $3 per item, that's $3,000 from one video that you've created that probably took you just a few minutes to make. And so, it's really just a numbers game of getting out the content, getting the views, and promoting products.
Okay, so let's talk about how to apply to be a Tik Tok creator in the Tik Tok shop program. Uh, so let me open up my phone here and I'll take you onto the Tik Tok platform. I assume that you already have Tik Tok on your phone. If you don't, that's going to be step number one is download Tik Tok, create an account so that you can start promoting products. Now, let's go over to Tik Tok and I'll show you around here.
Okay, so if we go over to the shop section on our Tik Tok account, you'll see this little option here in the middle that says earn. Now, uh, if you click on this, uh, it will take you to the application to join Tik Tok shop. Now, on this account that I'm using right now, I already have the uh minimum requirement. So, I already have 5,000 followers. I'm over 18 years old. Um, and I do meet their community guidelines. So, I can accept the invite from Tik Tok to join the Tik Tok shop program as an affiliate. Um, so, I'm going to go ahead and do that now. and then I'll take you into the dashboard and show you around some of the important things that you want to look at.
Now, if you don't have this available to you right now because maybe you have zero followers or you have less than 5,000 followers, this is where you're really going to have to focus on getting to that 5,000 follower mark. Now, they do have another option which is called the pilot program where you can have as low as a thousand followers and you can still join the Tik Tok shop affiliate uh uh creator, but it's going to be more difficult to get into and they're going to have limitations on how many videos you can post, how many promoted videos, how many times you can go live. So, they're going to have more kind of uh rules for you if you can get into it. Um, it's a little bit more difficult to get into. The surefire way though is just getting to 5,000 followers.
Okay, so I'm going to show you later in this video how to get to your first 5,000 followers, but right now I'm going to walk you through the Tik Tok shop creator center and how we can actually find products to promote and look at those margins that we can get on them. So, I'm inside of the dashboard here and I can go over to the bottom and I click on products. Um, and I can find a variety of different products. I can sort them by top selling ones. I can look at trending products. And so, let's just break this down right here. There's really three main criteria that I'm looking for when I am finding a product that I can promote as a creator on the platform.
So the main one is that you want to find products that have really good momentum. So ones that are picking up, ones that are about to go viral or starting to go viral that you can ride the wave on. So if we just click on like trending products for example, Tik Tok actually gives us a lot of information, a lot of data on all of these different products. And so what they'll do is they'll actually have a trending page as well which will show us on a trend score index of how it's doing right now. So uh right now this product that we just picked up here has a trend score of 99.9 and they've sold 51,000 products. Now this might be a little bit too crazy and too viral for us. If you're just getting started, you might want to find something a little bit more niche, but you get a lot of data from Tik Tok showing you everything about this.
So, uh, the three criteria that we're looking for is we want products that have some level of momentum. You don't want to promote a product that was really popular like last year or one that I think of right now is like that like mastic chewing gum. If you've been on TikTok, you've probably seen that. Uh, that was really really popular a few months ago and it's probably going to slowly kind of fade off over time because people have already seen it. People have already bought it. Um, and so it might be harder to convert people on it if you're promoting that now. So, momentum is one of the big ones.
Uh, the other thing is you want to find products that have really good inventory. So uh the worst thing that could happen is that you start promoting a product and then they sell out because they only had 100 units in stock and your video goes viral and nobody can buy the product cuz they're out of stock. That really really is unfortunate for the creator and it does happen. So you want to find products that have uh really solid inventory and they've sold a lot of the products and they are reputable as a brand.
And then the third factor here is you want a product that has a high commission. So you can look at this in two different ways. You can look at this in overall commission or you can look at it in terms of um percent of revenue of a sale. So like let's look at this one right here, this men's prostate health supplement. So it's selling for $39.95. And if you scroll down, we can look at uh how much you're going to get paid for this as a creator. You're going to get $759 per sale. So, that's about 15% um revenue or 15% of the total uh revenue you are getting as a creator. That's actually pretty good. So, if you sell a 100 of these, you're going to get $759 on average for promoting this product that only costs $39. That's pretty good.
Now, my rule of thumb is that generally I wouldn't try to promote anything that you're getting a commission of less than $2 or $3. So, like um this one right here, these dishwashing rags, you're only getting a dollar. Now, sure, the product is $4.99. It's not very expensive, but even if you have a viral video and you sell a,000 of these dishwasher rags, you're only getting $1,000 from a,000 sales. That's really not worth many people's time. And so, I would recommend finding those products so you're getting at least 23 $4 per item that is being sold. And sometimes you'll find products that are usually more expensive, but sometimes you'll find products that will pay commissions of 20 or $30 for every item that gets sold. So, that's really cool. Um, and I would definitely recommend going through all these different product rankings, see what's hot right now. Um, and you can even just search up products that you've already used in the past and then just get those and start promoting those because you're already familiar with them.
Now, you'll also notice that a lot of brands in the Tik Tok shop dashboard will actually have an option to get a refundable sample. So, if we click on this right here, we have this option for a refundable sample. And usually what a lot of these brands will do is that uh you can purchase the product on Tik Tok shop and then if you promote it and you get at least one sale from one of your videos, you will get a refund for the purchase that you made. So, this is also another way like even if you're not making a lot of money as a Tik Tok shop creator, it's a great way to at the very least just get lots of free products. So, you'll get refunds for all those different products if you promote them and you get at least one sale. And I mean, I've seen people get like hundreds of different free things by just uh doing this over and over again. They're doing like three different things per day. Um, and it's pretty awesome.
Okay, now let me just take you around to some other parts of the dashboard here. If we go over to the growth section, we will have all these different things that we can do with Tik Tok to help optimize our account. So, if we post two shoppable videos, we'll get this $5 reward right here. And then if we go live at least once, we'll get another $5 reward. And then they actually really help us out. You have to remember that Tik Tok is on the same team as you. They want you to succeed as a creator. They're really pushing Tik Tok shop big time onto uh all the people on the platform and they want to make this a really big thing. And so they have all these different checklists that you can go through and they help you through this process of getting started with it. So besides just this video, you can use that as well to get growing on the platform.
All right, so there's this question that people have asked me many times, which is, do you need to have a niche on Tik Tok as a creator? And my answer for this would actually be generally not really. So um on other platforms like if you have a blog or if you have a YouTube channel you generally want to have a niche or even like an Instagram account you want to have a niche but with Tik Tok because of the style of the content that is getting served to people you can have it generally broad. So what I would suggest that you do is you pick an overall category and you stick to that category. This could be pretty wide. So this could be for example health. It could be any type of health products that you're promoting. This gives you room to promote like vitamin gummies and you can promote supplements and you can promote fitness products, but things that are generally in that realm so that if people follow you, they still like are interested in the content. The one thing you don't want to do is just have things that are all over the place. So like one day you're promoting uh vitamin gummies and then the next day you're promoting like a catalytic converter for a car or something. Um, or or you're promoting something just completely random. Now, I know people do that, but I do suggest just picking an overall category. This could literally be just like women's products and women's clothing, or it could be um like outdoors products, and you can just create separate Tik Tok accounts for all those different types of niches. I think it just kind of helps to like if you get followers, if they go to their following page, like they'll they'll recognize like who you are and they won't unfollow you. Um, so, it does help a little bit, but overall niches, it doesn't matter nearly as much as they used to.
So now let's talk about how to make viral videos that convert. So your goal here is not just to get views, but it's to get sales. So we're thinking about two different factors here. All right.
So the basic formula here for making all of these videos, it's I just want you to remember these three things. Okay? You're going to have the hook, you're going to have the information, the explanation, and then you're going to have the call to action. Okay? So, you're hooking them in with something very, very intriguing to get people to stop scrolling. Especially on Tik Tok, people are scrolling constantly. And if you don't interest them in the first half a second, they're going to scroll past you. Okay? So, you have to do something that is shocking to them, that is going to get their attention. One of the easiest ones you can do is just any type of question like, "Have you heard of this person who did that?" Right? Or, "Have you seen this thing that went didn't did that?" Right? So, um, and that's just a random bad example that I made, but, uh, any type of question that you can ask them is going to be good. Doing something wild or strange, like, um, if you're just drinking a gallon of milk or like something just really weird to get people's attention that then you bring them into the rest of the video. I've seen it work really, really well. So, that's one of the strategies for hooking people in. You're just trying to do anything to get their attention. I would really recommend studying other videos. So, look at videos that have gone viral uh for the product that you're looking to promote or for other products and really really study how people start their videos in the first few seconds and then borrow from their ideas, especially the ones that have gone viral cuz they're definitely doing something right.
Now, in the middle part of the video, uh, this is where you're going to be showing the product, explaining the product, using the product, and kind of using the main selling points of it so that people are convinced to buy it. And then one of the most important parts here is that you need to have a call to action because people need to know that they can purchase the product while watching your video if they go down into the bottom right corner there and they can click on it and purchase it. So you want people to be aware of that. Have the call to action and when you are doing the call to action, use any info uh that would help you to convert the customer. Any type of sale or discount that is currently happening that might be ending soon, that is one of the best ones that you can use. Also, if the product is about to go out of stock or if they don't have much inventory left or if something's coming up and they want to get it before a specific holiday, uh, anything to create some sense of urgency for the viewer to purchase the product is going to be helpful in converting those customers or those potential customers. I've seen people who will have a million views on a video and they don't have a really solid call to action and they will make 10% of the money from people who have a 100,000 views but have a really strong call to action. So, it really does matter a lot on uh really converting those people to not just watch your video and be convinced to purchase the product, but then to actually follow through and buy it.
All right. And now let's talk about optimizing the business. How much should you be posting? Uh, should you go live? What are some other things that you need to keep in mind here? In terms of how much you should be posting, I would recommend that there's really no such thing as posting too much on the platform. I would say at a very bare minimum, do one post per day every day for the next 3 months. That'll get you 90 posts out. But I would really suggest doing at least three per day. So, if you can do three Tik Toks per day, uh, this is going to be really helpful for you.
Now, if you take anything out of this video, it's that you just have to start, okay? um the amount of people who have something called paralysis by analysis where uh you're worried about, you know, how do I make the perfect TikTok and you sit around thinking about it. Trust me, I'm saying this because I I fell into this myself. It took me years to get started on social media cuz I was just thinking about like what's the perfect video? How do I make my first one go viral? Don't worry about that. So, literally just start throwing stuff at the wall, okay? Like just start putting out videos, putting out content. It doesn't have to be perfect. Honestly, it's probably not going to be perfect in your first few dozen videos. But then what you do from posting content is you learn from what's doing well and what's not doing well. Okay? So, you look at your first 30 videos that you've posted and you see that, you know, one of them has 30,000 views and then you study why did it get 30,000 views and you try to replicate that and you use all of those strategies to continuously compound on top of that. So, you just have to get started with it. And I know I sound redundant here, but 80% of people who watch this video will not actually go out and just make a Tik Tok. So after this, I want you to open up Tik Tok and just make a video. I don't care what it is. It can be about anything at all. Your face doesn't even have to be in it. So you don't have to worry about your friends seeing it and laughing at you or something, okay? But you just have to get started with it. All right? And I'm serious with that because just so many people don't. and it's frustrating and uh I don't want to get mad, but uh a lot of people just don't do it because they're scared or they're worried about it.
Now, let's also look at going live. So, we have two options as Tik Tok creators. We can make videos and um have the product linked in our videos that people can purchase or we can go live on the platform. So, you've probably seen a lot of Tik Tok lives of people selling products and this is really effective as well. Now, I would suggest doing both of these in conjunction with each with each other. So, you're posting one to three videos per day and then you're going live hopefully once a day, but at least a couple times a week for at least an hour at a time. And even if there's only five or six people in there, here's why going live is a really great way to get conversions and to make money and get those sales. It's because you're able to answer people's questions real time. So, someone might have watched a video on a product, like let's say that they're thinking about buying some beef tallow. They've seen some videos. Then they come across your live video and you're promoting the beef tallow in the video. Maybe it's like on the table. You're talking about it. You're helping people out understand the product and they ask you a question and you're able to answer that question for them right there on the spot. That is when they are most likely to convert as a buyer. And so you're going to capture that sale if they come on to your live. And so this is a really effective strategy. I would recommend doing it as much as possible. In fact, there are people who go live 24/7. I mean, they're just live all the time. Um, and it's a really effective strategy. Even if there's only half a dozen people in that live video, it's going to be really useful.
All right, so that is how you get started with Tik Tok Shop. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to leave them down below. You can shoot me a DM on Instagram and I can try to help you out to get started with this. Once again, I don't have anything to sell you here. So, I wish everyone the best of luck. And if you're gonna take anything away from this video, just just start making content. Seriously, it doesn't have to be perfect. just start putting out content and get the ball rolling today, not tomorrow, not the next day. Do it right after this video. Make a Tik Tok, okay? And that's how you get started. And then follow up with me. Shoot me a message in like a few weeks and let me know how it's going. I would love to hear about it. So, thanks for watching. Wish everyone the best of luck and I'll see you sometime in a future.
