In the previous video, we dedicated ourselves to the first 15 prohibition signs. If you haven't seen it yet, I'll leave the link below in the description for you to watch it. In this video, I will explain the prohibition signs that we are still missing, excluding those of "no stopping" and "no parking," to which I will dedicate a specific video. I remind you that prohibition signs are part of a larger family of signs called "prescription signs," which also include priority signs and mandatory signs. Let's begin.

Let's start with the first prohibition, which is "no entry for motorcycles." This sign prohibits entry to all motorcycles, regardless of engine size, including those with an engine size less than 125 cc. It also prohibits entry to motorcycles equipped with a safety cell. However, it allows entry to all other vehicles, including mopeds, tricycles, quadricycles, and bicycles.
"No entry for motor vehicles." This sign, as its name suggests, prohibits entry to all motor vehicles used for the transport of goods and people. It makes no distinction, so cars, as well as trucks, buses, articulated buses, etc., will not be able to enter. It also prohibits entry to motor vehicles with three and four wheels, i.e., tricycles and quadricycles. Bicycles, vehicles with animal traction, and vehicles with human traction, i.e., vehicles without engines, can enter. However, two vehicles with engines can also enter: mopeds with wheels and motorcycles. These five vehicles that can enter with this sign should remind you of something else, because they are the same five vehicles that can be overtaken with the "no overtaking" prohibition.
"No entry for buses." Here too, as the name of the sign suggests, entry will be prohibited for buses, i.e., those motor vehicles used for transporting people with more than 9 seats, including the driver. Entry will also be prohibited for minibuses, school buses, tourist buses, coaches, and articulated buses. This also applies to buses with a total mass less than 3.5 tons. Please pay attention to the questions in the quizzes. This sign is always valid, not just from 8 AM to 8 PM. It will allow entry to all other vehicles, including cars, trucks, motorcycles, mopeds, quadricycles, etc.
"No entry for vehicles transporting goods with a total mass exceeding 3.5 tons." This sign, with its "kilometer" name, prohibits entry, please note, only to vehicles for transporting goods and with a total mass exceeding 3.5 tons. Although, if desired, it can be equipped with an supplementary panel that allows for a different value of the admitted mass. Motorhomes of any mass can also enter because they are not classified as motor vehicles for transporting goods. It does not prohibit entry to trucks that have a total mass up to 3.5 tons. It then allows entry, obviously, to buses of any mass, since they are also not vehicles for transporting goods.
"No entry for vehicles transporting goods with a total mass exceeding, in this case, 6.5 tons." This prohibition prohibits entry only for vehicles transporting goods with a total mass exceeding not 3.5 tons as in the previous sign, but 6.5 tons as indicated in this sign. Motorhomes of any mass can also enter here. It obviously does not prohibit entry to trucks that have a total mass less than or equal to 6.5 tons. With this sign too, all buses of any mass will be able to enter.
"No entry for vehicles towing a trailer." This sign prohibits entry to all vehicles with a trailer, not just those transporting goods as the drawing inside the prohibition might suggest. Therefore, it prohibits entry to tractor-trailers, articulated vehicles, cars with trailers, which could be a car trailer, a light trailer for transporting tourist or sports equipment, or a trailer for transporting boats, etc. This sign can be equipped with a supplementary panel that allows towing trailers up to a certain mass. It will allow entry to vehicles towing a trailer, and be careful not to confuse it with a light trailer. A trailer is not considered a trailer but an integral part of the vehicle towing it. Articulated vehicles and obviously all vehicles without trailers will also be able to enter.
"No entry for agricultural machinery." This sign does not allow entry to all agricultural machinery, i.e., wheeled or tracked ones, self-propelled ones, i.e., with engines that move by themselves, or towed ones, i.e., agricultural trailers. Entry is allowed to all construction machinery, including vehicles like snowplows and also road tractors. Be careful not to confuse road tractors with agricultural tractors. Road tractors are those vehicles normally used for towing semi-trailers.
"No entry for vehicles transporting dangerous goods." This sign, as its name suggests, prohibits entry to all those vehicles that transport dangerous goods, classifiable as highly flammable, explosive, toxic, radioactive, and corrosive. Vehicles transporting dangerous goods are easily identifiable because they have retro-reflective orange panels placed at the front and rear of the vehicle itself, sometimes also at the sides. Entry is obviously allowed to all other vehicles, including those transporting perishable goods and slaughtered meat. Be careful, as the sign obviously does not refer to the fuel transported in the tank that is used to power the engine.
"No entry for vehicles transporting explosive or flammable material." This sign prohibits entry to all those vehicles that transport explosive or easily flammable goods. Compared to the previous prohibition, radioactive, corrosive, and toxic goods are therefore excluded. The sign, please note, does not refer to the fuel used to power the vehicle's engine and transported in the tank, otherwise, apart from electric vehicles, no vehicle could pass, since to function, vehicles need fuel which, depending on the case, can be gasoline, diesel, LPG, or methane.
"No entry for vehicles transporting material susceptible to contaminating water." This sign prohibits entry to all those vehicles that transport material that, if dispersed in water, would pollute it, such as gasoline or oil. It allows entry to all other vehicles, such as street sprinklers or tankers transporting water. And be careful not to confuse this sign with the one for flooding of the carriageway. Remember that this is a prohibition sign and does not indicate the possible presence of water on the carriageway.
The next five prohibition signs we will see, i.e., these, have two things in common. The first is that they refer to all vehicles, motor and non-motor, used for transporting goods and for transporting people; it makes no difference. The second thing they have in common is that they refer to actual dimensions at the time of transit. Therefore, what is written on the registration document will always be of interest, but only relatively. In this case, for example, the length of the vehicle is reported on the registration document, but if we transport a load that protrudes backward beyond the vehicle's silhouette, the length will no longer be that written on the registration document; it will be a greater length, and we must know this measurement, i.e., the actual measurement at the time of transit. Let's look at these five prohibitions.
"No entry for vehicles with a width exceeding 2 meters and 30." This sign prohibits entry to all vehicles that have an actual width at the time of transit exceeding that indicated by the sign, in this case 2 meters and 30. It therefore automatically indicates the maximum width of vehicles that can enter, which is precisely 2 meters and 30. It refers to both the width of the tractor unit, i.e., the towing vehicle, and possibly the trailer. It is located before a narrowing of the carriageway, both on urban and extra-urban roads. Also remember that the indicated measurement does not indicate the width of the passage, which to allow the transit of wide vehicles, in this case up to 2 meters and 30, must certainly be greater.
"No entry for vehicles with a height exceeding 3 meters and 50." This sign prohibits entry to all vehicles that have an actual height at the time of transit exceeding that indicated by the sign, i.e., in this case 3 meters and 50. It therefore automatically indicates the maximum height, measured from the road surface and including the load, of vehicles that can enter. They are obviously valid all day, every day, 24 hours a day. It is normally located before an underpass or when the road passes under a bridge, both on urban roads, i.e., in built-up areas, and on extra-urban roads, i.e., outside built-up areas.
"No entry for vehicles with a length exceeding 10 meters." This sign prohibits entry to all vehicles and vehicle combinations, i.e., vehicles with trailers, that have an actual length at the time of transit exceeding that indicated by the sign, i.e., in this case 10 meters. It therefore automatically indicates the maximum length of vehicles that can enter, i.e., those with a length up to 10 meters. It applies to all vehicles, not just those transporting goods as the sign's drawing might suggest. Therefore, it applies to trucks, but also to buses, articulated buses, and even cars towing a trailer if its length exceeds that indicated by the sign. It is normally located on very narrow roads where very long vehicles would have difficulty passing. And please remember, this sign applies to all vehicles, not just those transporting goods.
"No entry for vehicles with an actual mass exceeding 7 tons." This sign prohibits entry to all vehicles that have an actual mass at the time of transit exceeding that indicated by the sign, in this case 7 tons. It therefore automatically indicates the maximum weight of vehicles that can enter. Obviously, a vehicle with an empty weight exceeding that indicated in the sign will never be able to pass. Conversely, a vehicle with a total mass when fully loaded less than or equal to that indicated will always be able to transit. This sign can also be equipped with a supplementary panel that prohibits the simultaneous transit of multiple vehicles and is normally located before a bridge. Please remember that this prohibition also applies to all vehicles, even those transporting people.
"No entry for vehicles with an actual mass on the most loaded axle exceeding, in this case, 2.5 tons." This sign prohibits entry to all vehicles with an actual mass on the most loaded axle exceeding that indicated by the sign, therefore in this case 2.5 tons. It is normally located before a bridge, like the previously seen sign, and is valid every day, 24 hours a day. Please remember that this sign also applies to all vehicles, even those transporting people.
"End of all prohibitions." This sign is called precisely that, "End of all prohibitions," and it puts an end to all previously imposed prescriptions. As stated at the beginning of the video, prescription signs are prohibition signs, priority signs, and mandatory signs. From the point where this "End of all prohibitions" sign is placed, they will no longer apply. So, for example, if before this sign you found the "no overtaking" sign along with the maximum speed limit sign, you know that from the point where this sign is placed, they will no longer apply. Please remember that this sign does not indicate the end of any danger signs or the end of a construction site, as they will ask you in the quizzes.
