Cloud Co-work is the best AI tool I've ever used, and I don't say that lightly. And the secret sauce is skills. There are seven specific skills I use every single day that I honestly cannot live without at this point. In this video, I explain what a skill is in the simplest way possible, along with show you the exact seven skills that I use every day. I'm going to show you how they work, how to use them, and how to install them yourself. I'm going to give every single one of these away for free. And to be honest, this is the Claude Co-work video I wish I watched when I first started. So, without further ado, let's dive right into it.
These seven skills completely changed how I use Claude Co-work. I'm going to show you each of them individually. So, in this video, I'm going to break down what they are exactly, show them in use, and then show you how you could download these exact skills into your co-work system right now. So, most people use Claude the wrong way. They use it like a search engine. They ask a question, you get a response, and move on. But there's a massive gap between that and what's possible using Claude Co-work. So without skills, you have to start fresh every single time. You get the same generic experience and nothing is saved across your workflow. But with skills inside of Claude Co-work, it knows exactly how you work, custom to your workflow, builds real files and outputs, and from one command, it could trigger an entire workflow. And these are the seven that I use every single day across my business. And this is hands down the most productive I've ever been thanks to these Claude Co-work skills.
So, the first skill, every single morning, instead of me having to open up five different applications, whether that's email, calendar, news, Slack, my to-do lists, I have this skill that is called my morning briefing. And from one command, it's automatically going to scrape my calendar, my email, any AI news, and then it will generate an entire daily brief for me in a custom web page for me to go through to understand what I missed. So, it will be structured like this. It'll say how many meetings I have, my different urgent emails, different AI news, and then it will tell me the highest priority things I need to do to start my day.
All right, so moving on to Cloud Co-work and how we can begin using it. Right now, we're going to come to this site here if you haven't already downloaded the desktop app. There's a link in the description to download this. You're just going to click on download for Mac or Windows. I already have it downloaded, so let me pull it up. Now, inside of the Claw desktop app, we're going to see a couple of different things. We have our chat mode, which is basically clawed. We could ask it questions, do these certain things, but it can't really do too much for us. Co-work is what we're going to be using in this video, and it's really going to level up what you can do inside of Claude. So, first things first, we have specific folders that we could actually create and work inside of on our computer. So, this is how it's able to go off and, you know, do things across our actual computer for us. So, if you want to start a new folder, you're just going to come here, click choose a different folder, create a new folder, give it a name, and it will then open that up for you. So, this is my morning brief workflow right here. So you can see I just type in the very basic prompt morning briefing and then it will load this skill. As you can see, it runs this skill. It then checks my calendar events, searches for email, goes through my to-do list, all these different things, and then came back to me with this structured output here. It says everything that's on my calendar, all of my 15 unread emails that I need to respond to, everything that's worth reviewing. It even breaks down different AI news that's relevant to my content because it knows about me. And then it lists my top three priorities for me to tackle throughout the day. But even better than this, it creates this HTML website that says, "Good morning, Brock." It has a specific like Apple styled font and style for the website that I customized inside of this skill. And I could see everything on my calendar. I could see every single email that needs responded and my top three priorities. Again, it's just structured into this amazing, phenomenal looking website here.
So, going back, I'm going to show you exactly what this skill consists of here. So, in order to see your skills, you're going to come over on the lefthand side here. Make sure this is toggled here, the sidebar. You're going to click on customize. And then from here, there is this skills section. We're going to click on this. And we can see every single skill that we have downloaded in here. And then I'm going to show you all the seven ones that I have inside of here in this video. So, if I come to my morning briefing skill, you can see we have this markdown file, which is basically a very detailed set of instructions on how we want our morning brief workflow to work. So, it says, "You are a personal chief of staff. Every morning you scan the user's calendar, goes through email summary instructions, it even shows the output for our HTML dashboard, which I showed you before. Every single time it generates this brief for me to review in the morning, it will be using this exact Apple Swiss style design because it's baked into our skill here. So, I'm not going to go through all of this. We don't need to understand this, but I'm going to show you now how you could download this exact skill that I created for you and upload it into Co-work in just a couple simple steps. And then I'm going to show you how to do this with every single one of these skills that I use. So you could basically just copy my entire system.
All right. So in order to download this specific skill or any of these skills for this matter, go ahead join my school community. It's completely free to join. Even breaks down troubleshooting all these different things. So you could follow that resource as well as what you're going to do is you're going to download the zip file here for each of these specific skills. So I'm going to come to my morning breathing skill, download this as a zip file, and then I'm just going to simply come up to co-work, click on customize. Now I'm going to click on skills. From here I'm going to click this plus button. I'm going to click upload a skill. I'm just going to drag that zip file into this specific folder here. And then click upload. And then it will be running in your system. And then you should see each of these skills that you have uploaded right here. And if you want to click on it, you could click on the morning briefing skill and see this exact HTML or this exact markdown file, which is basically our skill instructions.
All right, so moving on to skill number two that's completely changed how I work is research. So research usually means having like 15 different tabs open inside of my browser, having to copy between different documents, losing different links, all these different things. It's just a pain in the ass to be honest. So skill number two is my research assistant where I could give it any topic and I get back a real document that co-work actually creates for me. Think of it like this. A normal AI response would just give you a very basic response. But with this skill, we get a structured document that is saved as a real file. Every claim has a resource and it's formatted and ready to share with me, but I could also share with a team member or somebody that I want to give it to. So think of it like this. This isn't just a response. This is an entire deliverable. We get an executive summary at the top. Every claim is backed by a source. We get data and stats from the website. And again, this is saved as a file that I could keep forever.
So, coming back to co-work, let me show you exactly what I mean. So, if you take a look at my, you know, co-work task here, I just said research assistant and Claude Skills 2.0 because I wanted to research what is all this noise out there about Claude Skills 2.0 that everybody on YouTube is posting about right now. And I didn't want to have to go and do this research myself. So instead, Claude Co-work was able to go through and do this. And then it then generated this markdown file for me that I could go ahead and save. And here we go. It's Claude Skills 2.0 research brief executive summary. So if I don't want to read this whole thing, I could just read this summary to see if it even makes sense for me to, you know, dive deeper into. It has background. So it's breaking down what skills are, which obviously is what I'm talking about in this video. It breaks down the timelines of the skill evolution, key findings, and why it matters. So if I want to go through all of this, I can. But this is a very very nice breakdown and it even shows all of the sources that it used. So this is a task that would have probably taken me 30 minutes to an hour to go off and research and, you know, cross reference and all this stuff. Now I have this document whenever I just type in research assistant or I could even just say hey I want you to research this and it will know to trigger this specific skill.
So coming back, I'm going to show you exactly what goes into this skill and again, you could just go to my school community take that specific zip file and then upload it here just like I showed you for the previous skill. So if I click on research assistant, you could see that it's this pretty broken down markdown file here. It's actually not like super detailed. We can make this much much better, but this is exactly what we need. So basically deep dive any topic and produce a structured research document with sources. And if we want to turn this into an HTML website like I did for the previous skill, we could just come here, click on this um button here, click edit with Claude, and then say, I want you to now give me an output as an HTML site and a Swiss Apple style design. So what it will do is it will now literally go and change the instructions inside of that skill markdown file. So whenever I actually say research assistant, it will now create for me an HTML dashboard.
All right. So skill number three that has changed how I've been using Claude is meeting notes to action items. So I basically can go paste a transcript from one of my meetings and then from there it will create a clean summary of that meeting. It will then list out my specific action items and then list all of my deadlines and save this to a specific file inside of co-work. So, think of it this way. I could have an hour-long meeting that becomes 10 clear next steps because you've probably been on meetings where it kind of feels pointless because either you or the person in the meeting don't actually accomplish any of the things. So, we could now just basically list out what needs to be done from this meeting and then we could go ahead and then add that to our to-do list and then go ahead and start tackling those tasks.
All right, so here we go. I pasted this like fake meeting transcript because I didn't want to give any confidential information about like an actual meeting. So this is this mock meeting that I actually created and it generated this output here. So meeting notes, it breaks down the summary, key decisions, discussion points, my process as an agency, and then it even lists our action items here for me and my co-founder as well as for the people that we met with and adds open-ended questions, and then even shows the follow-up meeting. And the best part about this is I could open up this markdown file here. And guys, this is my favorite part about Claude Co-work Skills is not just getting a text output, but getting a specific formatted output in different files, whether that's an HTML file that I could actually interact with or just a specific like markdown file here. And this breaks down everything. And now we have action items from this, you know, 30 minute meeting.
Next up, we have a skill that saves tons of time for me as somebody that creates a lot of presentations. So 3 hours is the average time spent making a presentation. And we can now automate this to have it do it for us in about like 30 seconds to a minute. I created a slide deck generator which creates full visual presentations from one specific sentence that I give it. So the slides that you're watching right now in this video were built entirely with this Claude Co-work skill. And this saves me so much time when prepping for videos. And honestly, it's been making my videos so much more informative for you guys because it's more structured than just me talking throughout the video without me having to riff and hope that it all meshes well. So from one command or one specific word, it will then generate all this for me automatically.
So, let me show you exactly what I mean. I'm going to come back to co-work here. I'm going to come up to customize to show you what goes into this skill here. And again, it's as simple as you uploading this zip file that's in my school community to, you know, actually upload this to your own co-work system. So, I have a slide generator. It show breaks down the process design system. So, we have a specific design system it's going to use every single time and breaks down the rules. Every slide must have a visual component, never just black on text. The first slide is always the hook. Make it compelling. So you could go ahead and customize this however you want. You could come up here, click this edit with Claude and customize this if you need to make things a bit different for your specific use cases, but this is perfect for what I need. So to show you a use case, I just said slide deck generator how Claude Co-works and it created this HTML site for me. I could open it up right here. And I mean this is super smooth. Look at this. How Claude Co-works. So if I go through, you could see it has these smooth animations, an AI agent that works alongside you. Simple three-step workflow. It has great visuals here. What could it actually do? Plugs into your favorite applications. I mean, this is like a really, really good presentation. And I had zero input that I gave this aside from just saying, "Hey, I want you to make a presentation about Claude Co-work."
All right, so next up is maybe one of the coolest skills that I have in my system that I use every single day. So, this is a visual explainer skill. So, Claude will build me an entire interactive web page for breaking down complex topics. So I basically describe exactly what I want this visual explainer to be about. Claude will then build it and then it will instantly open it for me automatically. So literally anything that you can explain it can visualize whether this is system architectures, business processes, concept breakdowns or even data dashboards. So let me pull this up now. This is exactly what it generated for me. And it has this really cool typography and font and it kind of feels like I'm actually inside of a clawed user interface here. This is a visual explainer breaking down how exactly a claude skill works. Breaks down what it is. It has this diagram here that's actually interactive that I could click on and interact with. Breaks down the aesthetic system, all this stuff. So, it's just like a really well formatted, you know, visual explanation of something. So, I personally use this a lot and I say, "Hey, the system that you built inside of Claude Co-work, can you visualize this for me so I can see every single thing that's going on in the back end?" This is an amazing way that I could see all the changes I make to Claude Co-work to get an understanding of like how my system as a whole is working. So, I highly suggest you try that out. And I do have to plug Nick Nico Balon. I'm not sure exactly how to say his last name, but I got this visual explainer skill from him on Twitter. So, go ahead, go leave a like or retweet this or something cuz I have to give credit to him for this. I actually got it on GitHub here. So, let me just take a look real quickly to, you know, show you how detailed this specific skill is. I'm going to click on visual explainer here in my skills. And we have this very detailed visual explainer markdown file here that just basically breaks down exactly how to do this. And again, we can make changes to this right here if we want to.
All right, so skill number six is kind of another visual explainer one that has been super helpful for me. So, so if you've ever tried to draw a diagram by hand or do it on something like Excal, it could be a pain to do so. So I created this diagram generator where I could just describe something and I get a professional diagram back. Basically I just tell Claude what to map and then it will go out and do this entire thing for me and it will produce a real Excaliraw file which is in a JSON format that I can instantly upload into Excal.
So coming back to co-work I just said diagram generator how claude co-works and then what it did is it generated this file for me here which is actually in JSON format which is basically the format that Excaladraw is in for me to import. So, I'm just going to click on show in Finder here. And then I'm simply going to pull up Excalidraw. Click right here. I'm going to click open, load from file. And then all I have to do is just import this specific file and paste it in here. And just like that, we have this visual diagram here that I personally use for breaking down concepts in videos or even just visualize like how my Claude code or Claude Co-work system works to understand exactly like the nuts and bolts of things.
All right. So, skill number seven, which is probably maybe the most important because the real question is, what if none of these specific skills fit your job? Whether you're a teacher, a realtor, a designer, or a freelancer, you might have your specific use cases and skills you want to create inside of co-work. So, we have a skill that is a skill creator. It's pretty meta. So, this allows you to build your own skills very simply, and they're done basically perfectly every single time with this skill. So basically, you just have a conversation and Claude understands exactly how to package this and turn this into a set of instructions that you could then use inside of co-work. Anything you do repeatedly, whether that's invoice generation, lesson planning, listing writer, weekly reports, proposal drafter, basically I just challenge you to go to Claude, use the skill creator and say, "Hey, I want you to create a skill to help me build out this workflow so I don't have to do it myself every single time."
So I'm just going to come back to co-work. I'm going to click on new task. So, I basically said, "Create a skill for me that helps me respond to my emails every single morning." And then what it's going to do is it's going to ask me a couple of follow-up questions here. This is because of the skill creator skill right here. It tries to get context in order to customize this. So, it works perfectly for you. So, I'm going to click on unread only. I want to summarize and suggest casual and friendly. And then I want to save these as Gmail drafts.
All right. So, now we have the skill automatically being created that could go and read my emails. But skills are only half of the story when we're using Cloud Co-work. Something called connectors will instantly level up what exactly Co-work can do for you. Otherwise, it can't really go off and perform tasks for you across your different applications. So, this is where connectors come in handy. So, with one click, Claude can read and write to your app. So, without connectors, you would have to copy these like email drafts into Gmail, paste it into Claude. We would have to copy Claude's response, paste it back into Gmail. All this stuff we would have to do manually. But with connectors, it could actually draft a reply to an email, send it for us, and look at our calendars and all these different things. So, inside of Claude, there are 38 plus different tools you could connect to automatically. But let's say there's a specific app that you use that you can't connect to natively inside of Claude. So, I'm going to show you a hack that will allow you to do that now. So, I personally use something called Zapier MCP. If you're familiar with Zapier, it's an automation platform, but we don't need to actually configure specific automations for us. we just tap into the 8,000 plus different applications that you know easily connect with Zapier and then we're going to instantly upload that into co-work. So I'm going to click on new MCP server. I'm going to click on claude co-work because this is what we're using and then I'm going to click on add tools. So any tool that we use that doesn't natively integrate with co-work. We could simply just come here and configure. So let's say I want to connect to notion for example because I use this every single day. I just click on connect and now there are 26 different like actions that I could perform across notion. You could see it could retrieve blocks, it could get blocks, find different pages, all this stuff it could do. And so now we have access to these specific actions inside of co-work. But in order to connect it to co-work, we're going to click on connect. Click on copy URL. And then we're going to come back into co-work. Click on customize. Then we're going to go over to connectors. You can see we have some of these preconfigured here. I'm going to click on new one. I'm going to click on Zapier. I already have mine connected. All we would do is paste in that specific URL we got from Zapier. And then this will be connected. And now we have access to the 8,000 different apps that Zap year connects to.
All right, so I'm going to take this to the next level. I'm going to combine skills and connectors together. This is where it gets really crazy. Imagine that we could have all this run automatically without us having to give a prompt to co-work. This is now possible with their new feature called scheduled tasks that they just released last week. So all we have to do is write one prompt, pick a schedule, and then Claude could perform these tasks with these skills in connectors we give it automatically. So whether this is hourly, daily, week on weekdays, or weekly, we could have Claude go and perform our tasks for us without us needing to give manual input. Certain things that I run on autopilot are my morning briefing that I showed you early on in this video, weekly stats reports, competitor scans across YouTube and Instagram, and then invoice trackers as well. So inside of Co-work, we have this full stack. We have skills, connectors, scheduled tasks, and this basically equals an AI employee on autopilot that knows how to do all these different things in your business every single time without messing up.
So, I'm going to show you just real quickly how you could begin using scheduled tasks inside of co-work. And then you could go off and begin building and using your own AI employees with the skills that I gave you. So, you just come here, click on task, basically describe what you want to call it, write in the description as well as a prompt, and then how frequently you want to do this. Or what you could do is for morning briefing, let me come to this task that I had. I'm just going to say, "Hey, can you turn this into a scheduled task where every single morning at 8 a.m. you go and do this manually?" And then you just show me the HTML site that you come up with. So now it's going to literally just trigger this. So whenever my computer is open, that's the main thing here. You have to have your laptop open that Cloud Co-works on. It will go ahead and generate morning briefing for me without me even having to ask for that. And just like that, in about 10 seconds, we now have this task scheduled. So every morning at 8 a.m., Claude will automatically pull my calendar inbox, AI news, and generate a fresh morning briefing HTML site just like this.
