THE 4TH TURNING IS UPON US - BITCOIN + AI SINGULARITY IMMINENT

Good day everyone. My name is Adam Livingston and I am the Bitcoin wizard.

The fourth turning is showing up like a bank statement and not a prophecy. The balance sheets of the world are swollen enough to bend markets. Deficits are large enough to anchor our politics and the payment rails are rewired fast enough that money is starting to behave like software. It is March 2026. The board is visible and the pieces are moving.

If you start with the geopolitical layer here, the great powers right now are playing a resource game under these debt regimes. The treasuries need buyers. The central banks continue to attempt to manage stability. The politicians are only managing their survival and the public is only getting offered narratives. The sanctions and the trade realignment is turning settlement into a weapon and every single weapon is creating demand for a neutral ground. That demand continues to express itself in collateral custody and rails.

And now the board is widening. The dominant pieces are no longer just the sovereigns. No longer just the flags alone. The custodians decide where the keys live. The ETF issuers and the authorized participants decide how the flows are going to get transmitted. The stable coin issuers will decide how the dollar liquidity travels outside of the banks and the money market funds continue to vacuum up the idle cash.

Meanwhile, we have the data centers turning energy into intelligence. AI agents are executing, hedging, rebalancing, and routing payments with no sleep, nostalgia, and no patience. And they're using Bitcoin to do it. This is the singularity that we are living through. AI is scaling the tempo of finance itself. It is turning every single spread into a target, every manual workflow into a bottleneck that must be overcome, and every slow settlement system into a tax.

But we are seeing the acceleration of capital formation and that accelerates capital competition. The world is getting faster and in a faster world the premium goes to the assets and the rails that settle cleanly, more globally, and survive the political cycles. And Bitcoin is sitting in the center of that entire incentive stack because with Bitcoin we have scarcity with no committee. We have portability with zero counterparties and we have final settlement that does not care who is friends with who this quarter.

When the world is overlevered, pristine collateral becomes valuable. If you stitch it all together, AI is speeding up the economy's metabolism. The programmable dollars are increasing the speed of settlement. Tokenized collateral is increasing the speed of leverage. The ETFs are increasing the speed of allocation towards scarce assets and Bitcoin is concentrating the demand for a scarce reserve asset that can live outside of the political cycle and outside of the traditional credit system. And that combination produces a very specific outcome. The capital is going to aggregate toward the highest integrity collateral and the highest throughput rails.

This is the institutional version of this process. We are going to see steady absorption of exposure through the regulated pipes and steady concentration of custody into a smaller set of hands. This is the fourth turning of our current monetary system. The financial structure is under stress. It is being rebuilt for speed. It is being rebuilt for automation and rebuilt for control. And there is one asset that does not sit under the control of the regime. That is Bitcoin because it is scarce, decentralized, and it benefits from the rebuild. And AI is the force multiplier that is going to make that rebuild happen faster than most people can update their mental model.

The world is changing before our eyes. And before I get into it, I really want to take a quick moment to thank Horizon for sponsoring this video. If you guys didn't know, Horizon helps you take your trapped home equity to buy Bitcoin. That's correct. Why wouldn't you buy a scarce asset rather than your rotting drywall home value? You have your trapped home equity just sitting there not doing anything for you. You're making the mortgage payments. You're fighting the interest, of course, but you know that that does not outperform Bitcoin, the thing that was designed to destroy inflation. Horizon helps you buy Bitcoin with no debt. You're not taking out any more debt. You're not making any more monthly payments. And you are at zero risk for liquidation because this isn't leveraged gambling nonsense. The Horizon team will help you every single step of the way. Just take the trapped home value that you already have into Bitcoin. Link is in the description below. I'll talk more about Horizon at the end of the video.

So, if we look at the chessboard and we noticed what has changed, the fight stopped being crypto versus banks and it is becoming who controls the distribution, who controls the compliance, and who controls settlement. That is the entire game. We know that money moves through pipes, value gets stored in custody, and access gets granted through permissions. So whoever owns those three layers decides what adoption even means.

If you start at the sovereign layer, obviously you have the central banks and the treasury setting the weather. They supply collateral. They set rates and they try to manage the stress the best they can. But when the deficits grow and the rollover calendars tighten, the entire system becomes a collateral economy. And that, my friends, is the future. You will continue to see the story shift from growth to funding, from innovation to who gets financed. That layer doesn't care about narratives, my dearest children. It cares about auctions clearing and credit staying upright.

Now, the regulated distribution layer are the banks, the brokers, and the wealth platforms that sit on the customer relationship. You see, they decide who gets offered, how it gets packaged, and what gets throttled by the risk committees. Money markets pull cash out of deposits where the yield matters. The ETFs pull exposure into the default portfolio. And then the custodians, well, they pull assets into professionally governed vaults.

And then you have the programmable money layer. Stable coin issuers are exporting the dollar into software. And you're going to have tokenized treasuries exporting yield into software. You have Lightning and other L2 services. They're going to be exporting settlement into a payment experience that continues to scale and it is growing exponentially right now. So basically that layer is building the internet balance sheet like an always-on system where value can move like packets and collateral can be reused with machine speed.

So now we have to zoom in on the key power centers because the chessboard ahead of us has kings and it has queens. Custody is obviously a power center here because the keys determine who has the control, who can rehypothecate, who can freeze your coins, who can comply, who can recover, and who can fail. The larger the regulated wrapper layer gets, the more custody concentrates and that is the cost of mass adoption. There is no way of getting around it, but it is a strategic risk.

Now, in my opinion, the stable coin issuers will become the biggest power center of all because they can operate like a shadow Federal Reserve outside the jurisdiction of the United States Federal Government and other sovereign governments in the world because they sit on their reserve portfolios, their redemption gates, you know, their compliance levers depending on how compliant they actually want to be. They can become the biggest non-bank distribution network for dollars on Earth. And that is going to obviously shift the balance of power away from the traditional deposit franchises.

And then you add the AI agents speeding all of these things up on top of it. So the AI agents aren't just going to be trading SATs, okay? They're going to be managing treasury. They're going to be monitoring basis, routing payments, optimizing collateral. They're going to arbitrage fees. They are going to compress every single market efficiency. They are going to turn the market into a continuous operating system. Human reaction time is going to become a disadvantage.

So what is the strategic implication here? Well, it's simply this. This isn't a popularity contest, kids. It is literally just the plumbing of the financial system. The winners are going to be the entities that can route flow through the compliant pipes at scale. And Bitcoin is going to win when those pipes make the exposure easy, the custody safe, and the settlements credible across regimes.

So let's start with the core dynamic here. The US fiscal path is obviously a structural force. We know that there's a deficit projected at $1.9 trillion for fiscal year 2026 and expanding to $3.1 trillion probably within 10 years. Now, doesn't that signal something deeper than politics? It probably signals persistent issuance, persistent refinancing, and persistent competition for capital. That is what that means. That forces the entire system to price time itself differently. Longer duration promises become harder to underwrite here when you are under this much fiscal stress. Don't you think liquidity is going to become more valuable? Collateral is going to become more valuable. Anything that behaves like pristine collateral starts getting treated like a strategic asset. You are seeing that with China and gold right now and you will see it with Bitcoin undeniably.

If you want to look for the clearest tell, just look at the money sorting because money moves to where it can earn yield with the lowest friction and the least perceived risk. The money market accounts at $7.8 trillion really represent a giant gravitational field pulling cash out of traditional deposit accounts. The bank deposits still sit at $18.8 trillion, which is very huge. But you have to remember the direction of travel really matters here. We have stable coins at roughly $39 billion. These represent the parallel dollar layer that grows outside of that traditional deposit system. It is a fraction of the bank deposits. But we know that the technology is superior, which is exactly why you're seeing this big standoff between the banks and the stable coin companies, the stable coin issuers, because we know that yield and rewards on stable coins renders the banks entirely obsolete. And tokenized treasuries are brand new. They're already a $10 billion class. This is a new category entirely, yields that move like software and can live inside of automated workflows.

So that is the stack right now. We have deposits being the legacy layer. Obviously you do have the money market funds as part of the yields layer and then you have stretch coming to the marketplace from strategy offering 11.5%. The money market funds cannot compete with that. So what you're starting to see is that the assets that are tokenized and the assets that are scarce, these are becoming the programmable collateral layer and the governments will not be able to compete because if you look at the different layers here and you're really starting to see what they need to compete on. If it's speed, uh, who do you think wins? If it's portability, who do you think wins? If it's integration seamlessly with software, what do you think wins? The banks are feeling pressure right now because their deposits are their raw material and their deposits are going to flee because they have to. The funding costs are going to rise and their business models are going to get squeezed and the central banks will continue to feel the pressure because monetary transmission relies on bank funding dynamics. After all, the regulators will continue to feel immense pressure because the traditional system is going to migrate into instruments that behave like money while sitting outside of the old perimeter.

When the macro weather becomes unstable, neutrality is going to become valuable. And that is why Bitcoin is going to win because the macro environment right now is reorganizing the financial incentives of society. The system is building new wrappers for cash, new wrappers for collateral, and money is flowing into those wrappers in huge sizes. And as that happens, the rails that can move value instantly and globally will become more important. And the scarce reserve asset that sits above the stack will become more strategically relevant.

If we look at the rails, we know that real-time payments are already big. FedNow processed 8.41 million payments totaling $853.4 billion in value in the year 2025. RTP processed 125 million transactions totaling $45 billion in value in 2025 alone, which means that the US banking system is moving toward instant settlement experiences as at least the baseline because they have to. That shift compresses time in the financial system. It shrinks the float. It accelerates the working capital cycles and it forces every other rail to compete on speed and integration. But more accurately, this is them just reacting to the better competition. So competing with that, we do have the stable coins creating this parallel dollar layer that plugs into exchanges, fintech, cross-border flows.

So you have to ask, what is the key geopolitical implication here? And the answer really is, well, whoever controls the global settlement rails controls influence. We know that in the old world, influence ran through correspondent banking and SWIFT. And then in 2022, do you remember when Russia invaded Ukraine and they were cut off from the SWIFT network entirely? Being dependent on the traditional dollar rails is a weakness and the world is waking up to that fact. The legal perimeter around the issuers and the custodians that is just going to become more desirable for the investing populace of the entire world. Okay? It's just not even a question. When you need to clear something, you go to the service, you go to the product that is more reliable every single time. And that's why the central banks will publish their warnings. That is why the licensing regimes are expanding because rails are sovereignty.

Now these rails, they're going to increase velocity, increase the capital velocity. The velocity is also though, it's going to increase the appetite for collateral. Bitcoin is the apex collateral. The demand for the reserve asset that needs to fit the role as the neutral finite asset with the global settlement credibility as well. Bitcoin is by far the best. There isn't even a close second place. So you can have the stable coins, tokenized treasuries, tokenized gold, whatever. Yeah, that can help speed up the world's money, but you're going to have the speeding up of the world's money with Bitcoin hardening the world's savings, acting as the reserve asset for these stable coin issuers.

Starting with the direction of travel here, every single major hub is really converging upon the same structure: licensing, reserves, audits, attestations, redemptions, right? Supervisory reach in general. Right now we are seeing the structure turning stable coins and crypto rails from a loose market into an institutional product category, which also creates a compliance premium. The price of access really does become governance here. We know that in the United States, the Lummis-Gillibrand Responsible Financial Innovation Act created a stable coin framework in law and the OCC is implementing it through rulemaking. So, we're seeing legislation that's telling the traditional banks and the brokers and the payment companies how to participate in this new technology without career risk. You're seeing Tether itself come out with a stable coin that actually is compliant within this framework. It's telling the large corporations what they can hold and what they can settle with and it's telling the markets what is becoming the legal plumbing rather than the traditional edge behavior.

In the EU right now, they are pushing a harmonized licensing regime. What does that mean? Well, the transition and the supervisory guidance around e-money tokens is what they call it and the payment activity that really matters because Europe's institutional posture is sovereignty first. Okay. The European policymakers, they worry about stable coins as imported monetary policy and imported systemic risk. The EU is obviously going to be in support of the strict perimeter control because they know that they can't compete. They don't even have a currency that competes with the US dollar. Remember what I said, regulation is shaping the distribution layer for the most part. When stable coins are becoming licensed and the reserves become standardized, that means the brokers can integrate them. So, you're seeing less of a reliance on traditional banking and the Federal Reserve when you're seeing the government accept the offshore Federal Reserve. The market right now is building a regulated superhighway into Bitcoin and the toll booths are being installed at the exact same time.

Now my book here, The Great Harvest: AI, Labor, and the Bitcoin Lifeline, comes into play because it describes the core event of this era, which is AI harvesting human cognition. It's pretty obvious at this point that our attention has become the input. Our preferences have just become training data. Our creativity becomes the fuel for our AI overlords and judgment itself is becoming a product. So every single click that you have on your device when you're doom scrolling, every single sentence that you read, every decision, every moment of focus is getting captured. It's getting modeled. It's getting priced and it's being resold as machine capability. That is the harvest. Your cognition is getting turned into an industrial commodity.

And the reason why this belongs on a Bitcoin geopolitical chessboard is really simple here. Because once your human cognition itself becomes harvestable, almost everything else becomes abundant. The content that we are absorbing, it is becoming infinite. Human labor itself is becoming compressible. Coordination is becoming algorithmic. And the world is getting filled with cheap replicas of human output. The marginal value of producing more is collapsing. And in that world, the scarce thing is no longer ideas anymore. The scarce thing is only scarcity itself.

So this slide right now is the bridge between the AI layer and the monetary layer. AI is increasing the rate at which the world produces stuff. But it also increases the rate at which institutions can extract value from humans without asking permission because the extraction is happening through interfaces that people voluntarily use every single day. It becomes quiet. It becomes ambient. It is becoming infrastructure before your very eyes. And as the harvesting of your human cognition continues to intensify, the incentive stack just continues to harden. People and institutions start reaching for assets that do not inflate when the output of the world inflates. Assets that do not multiply when the machines multiply. Assets that do not dilute when every corporate and sovereign balance sheet is trying to survive a faster, more automated economy.

Bitcoin sits at the center of that escape route because it represents scarcity that AI cannot mass-produce. It is scarcity that does not depend on human restraint. It is scarcity that is enforced by physics, computation, and consensus. A system where the rules don't get rewritten because some committee panics.

So the great harvest upon us has two fronts. AI is harvesting our minds. Finance is harvesting the flows and both processes concentrate power itself. Both processes compress the human share of the upside unless you hold something that resists dilution. Bitcoin is the asset that will keep its scarcity as the world around it accelerates into synthetic abundance. It is the counter-rate to cognitive extraction and financial centralization. It is the thing that you own that doesn't care about how many new models get trained or how many agents start to trade or how many tokens get issued or how many new wrappers get invented.

Now remember the risk warning embedded in the thesis. The more the world is building the regulated wrappers and the custodial checkpoints for Bitcoin exposure, well, the more valuable the base layer is going to become. The concentration risk might rise for paper manipulation of the asset. The policy risk might rise. The control surfaces do multiply, but that does not weaken Bitcoin's core proposition. In fact, it sharpens it because the difference between the paper exposure and true ownership of the asset becomes more meaningful in a world where every layer above the base asset is optimized for control.

Automation is increasing velocity and velocity is increasing the need for reliable rails. But the reliable rails increase the demand for apex collateral. The next thing that we are going to see is increased collateral mobility because that is going to increase leverage and financial engineering. And that's only going to increase the monetary premium on scarcity because scarcity concentrates value into the one asset that stays finite while everything else explodes. And that, my friends, is the AI and Bitcoin singularity. The world is becoming more machine-driven, more rail-driven, more compliance-gated, and more concentrated. And in that world, Bitcoin scarcity will become more valuable and true ownership becomes more meaningful. AI is the accelerant and Bitcoin is the scarce anchor that survives the rewrite. The advantage goes to people who understand the rails, understand the choke points, and position before the system finishes the rebuild.
