Hello! It's Hurley!
Today, we will introduce you to the top 10 delicious all-you-can-eat restaurants in Tokyo. There are various all-you-can-eat restaurants in Tokyo, such as hotel buffets, bread buffets, and all-you-can-eat high-quality sushi. But have you ever found yourself unable to go there because they're too expensive?
So, in today's video, I'll be introducing the top 10 all-you-can-eat restaurants with the best value for money, selected by me as I eat out at more than 600 restaurants a year. If you watch today's video, I'm sure you'll be going to all-you-can-eat restaurants next week. I'm looking forward to seeing you till the end today. Please watch it on my channel. If you think today's video is good, I would be very happy if you could subscribe to the channel and hit the like button. Let's get started!
First of all, the 10th place is Bakery & Restaurant Sawamura Shinjuku. It is located at the entrance of NEWoMan SHINJUKU, just a 5-second walk from Shinjuku Station's new south ticket gate. Sawamura is a famous Western restaurant in Karuizawa that reopened in June of this year.
The inside of the restaurant is surrounded by counter seats in the center. 90% of the customers are women, and people from a wide range of ages, from their 20s to 70s, come here with friends or on a date. Here is the lunch menu. It's popular with a wide variety of dishes, from meat to fish, salads, and pasta. If you order a main course, you'll receive all-you-can-eat bread and a salad.
The aged yeast bread is made with carefully selected wheat, so it has a strong aroma and flavor, and is very delicious. This was my first time on this day. I had walnuts, white bread, and French bread. I enjoyed a Levain focaccia with a moist texture that was fun to enjoy with the bubbles of grains. In addition to the main sauce, there was also olive oil and salt, so it was so delicious that I couldn't stop eating the bread. Just before eating, it's nice to have it baked in the oven.
For the main dish, I had young chicken thighs and pork shoulder loin braised in dark beer. The young chicken thighs had a wonderful contrast between the crispy skin and chewy meat. However, more than that, this pork shoulder loin is also amazing. The pork shoulder loin is slowly simmered in Karuizawa's dark beer (KOKAGE), and it's so delicious that it falls apart perfectly. The flavor of the pork matches perfectly with the bitterness of the beer.
Sawamura is a popular restaurant in Karuizawa that can be enjoyed here in Shinjuku, so there is always a long line of people. On this day, I arrived at 10:45 on a weekday and entered on the 14th first round, but by 10:50, people were already in their second round. Reservations are not accepted for lunch, so please line up early!
Next in 9th place is Mouyan Curry, which can be found in Ikebukuro, Shinjuku, and Tokyo Station. Mouyan Curry uses three times the amount of flavorful vegetables! This is an exquisite curry buffet that pursues something that is good for the body. The inside of the restaurant is a natural space that uses precious wood.
You might think that the "all-you-can-eat curry" menu would be reserved for young men, but there are also many older people and women. It is a style where you can choose from 1 refill or all-you-can-eat. The buffet corner has a long list of dishes, including 3 types of rice and 4 types of curry. In addition to curry, there is tandoori chicken, udon, vermicelli, and salad. There are about 15 different types of curry. It's really nice to be able to eat so much in the 1,000 yen range.
Mouyan Curry was created by Chitaro Tsuji, who trained at a famous curry and French restaurant, in pursuit of "foods that are good for the body." Its characteristics include not containing any flour or additives. It uses about three times more carefully selected flavored vegetables than regular curry. We are really particular about the fact that "one serving of curry contains just one onion."
Yonemata is a blend of Chinese herbal medicine and 26 different spices that is said to be effective for bowel movements. When you take a bite of this curry, the sweetness of the fresh vegetables melts into the rich and sour roux. The pork curry is delicious, and you can enjoy the flavor and sweetness of the pork. The spinach curry, on the other hand, is made with garlic and spot-billed duck and has a very punchy taste.
You might think, "It's green, so it's popular with women, right?" This is a curry that only men who like hearty things can enjoy. The orange Himalayan curry has a spicy taste with cumin, and the 20x curry is, as the name suggests, extremely spicy. The great thing about Mouyan curry is that the dishes other than curry are also really delicious.
Especially, this tandoori chicken has a crispy skin and juicy flesh, making it extremely delicious. You can also enjoy unlimited rooibos tea and coffee. The curry is not only curry, but many people come for the vegetables, so don't eat too much rice. There are many women who enjoy vegetables and curry. This is the best buffet that goes beyond curry, so everyone should definitely try it.
Next on number 8 is Apellicena, where you can enjoy all-you-can-eat Starbucks. Apelicena is located next to Matsuya Ginza, which is directly connected to Ginza Station. This is Japan's only all-you-can-eat Starbucks, where reservations fill up in 5 seconds. Starbucks Reserve Store is located in Ginza Marronnier Street, and you can enjoy all-you-can-eat on the second floor.
As expected from Starbucks, the inside of the store is very stylish. It's a great space. The customers come from a wide range of people, from groups of young people who seem to be eating a lot to couples and madams who are just relaxing. There are also many people who come by themselves for the all-you-can-eat option. There are a lot of people using the cafe, so even if you're alone, you can enjoy it without worrying.
The all-you-can-eat option is 3,850 yen and comes with a free drink. You can also order coffee, tea, beer, and wine. You can eat all-you-can-eat from the corner on the right after going up the stairs. "I can't decide what I want to eat!" Please tell the store clerk. When I told her, "I want to eat everything!" she politely told me things like, "Well, first of all, we're going to focus on the recommended bread, so the second time, we'll serve hors d'oeuvre as a main dish."
As you would expect from Starbucks, the staff are very polite, so even if it's your first time, you don't have to worry about it. The fact that it's beautifully arranged like a plate set whets the appetite. To be honest, the taste is just average. If I say this, I'm sure the world's Starbucks will be scolded, but if I were to compare it to an airline... It's like an airport lounge. It's definitely delicious, but I'm not really impressed.
Maybe it's because I had too high expectations for "all-you-can-eat at Starbucks," but most of all, this space is really nice. The customer service from the staff was polite, and the all-you-can-eat experience, which can only be eaten here in Ginza in Japan, felt really good. I'm so glad I experienced it once in my life! I was very satisfied with this all-you-can-eat option.
The good thing about this all-you-can-eat option is that there is no time limit. It's easy to invite friends and girlfriends to Starbucks' all-you-can-eat option. However, there is one big disadvantage to this all-you-can-eat option, and that is reservations. It is so popular that it fills up in 5 seconds. Reservation times are 17:00, 17:30, 18:00, and 18:30, and it opens at 10:00 a week in advance. I tried 3 times, but it was the best. The third time I was unable to make a reservation for the 17:00 slot, which is a popular place to stay for a long time, but I was able to make a reservation when I originally aimed for the 18:30 slot. The key to making a reservation is to log in to table check before 10:00.
Next up is Yuzaru, which is located a 5-minute walk from Yotsuya Sanchome Station. Yuzaru is a Michelin-starred Chinese restaurant that will make you very happy. The inside of the restaurant is woody, with a mountain hut-style space. Customers come in a variety of situations, from locals and office workers, on their own to in groups.
For lunch, you can choose one main course and enjoy a buffet of salad, curry, and yakisoba. The most popular one is the aburinji, so if you can't decide, choose the aburinji. Yuzaru's buffet mainly has salads, but also curry and yakisoba. For a buffet like this to cost 1,300 yen, you might be worried about the quantity and taste of the main dishes.
With all this anxiety, we are now offering fried chicken and chilled dandan noodles! A super big piece of fried chicken with a diameter of 20cm came out. I thought, "Oh, I understand, this buffet or main dish doesn't taste good," and when I ate it, it was really delicious. Even though it is covered in sauce, the crispness of the batter remains intact, and the inside is moist and juicy. The deliciousness of the chicken and the sweet and spicy sauce make the rice go so much better.
The Dandan noodles are so delicious that you won't be able to stop eating them with your chopsticks. That's no wonder, as the chef here, Mr. Ouchi, has a 20-year career devoted to Chinese cuisine, including chef de cuisine at Aoyama Shanway and Kagurazaka Engine, and has also earned a Michelin star. There is a time limit of 40 minutes, but the volume, taste, and customer service are perfect. Refills of rice are free, so we recommend finishing off with the curry from the buffet.
Next in 6th place is Motsuyoshi Shibuya branch. From Shibuya Station to Center Gai, it's located about a 10-minute walk away. Motsuyoshi is a restaurant where you can enjoy all-you-can-eat delicious obanzai. The interior of the restaurant on the 8th floor is a beautiful space with plenty of light coming in through the large windows.
Customers range in age from their 20s to 70s. People come here in a variety of situations, from solo travelers to groups. The ratio of men to women is slightly more female, but there are also many single people, regardless of gender. Lunch is only 1,500 yen for all-you-can-eat Kyoto obanzai. Just looking at the many obanzai lined up, it looks delicious.
You can enjoy salad, mentaiko, dashimaki omelet, and even roast beef, so I brought it for the first time! All of Motsuyoshi's obanzai is very delicious. It's really amazing that the quality is so high even though it's an all-you-can-eat Japanese meal for around 1,000 yen. I'm so satisfied that I want to eat it every time I go to Shibuya. This roast beef in particular was so delicious that I had a luxurious roast beef bowl.
Fifth place is the traditional restaurant. It is located behind Kabukiza, just off Higashi Ginza. The traditional restaurant is a savior when you don't have enough vegetables! This is a restaurant where you can enjoy all-you-can-eat pesticide-free vegetables grown in Chiba Prefecture. The inside of the restaurant has a calm wood-like atmosphere. Many of the customers are women from a wide range of ages, from their 20s to 60s. The only men who come here are couples. There are a lot of female companions.
The lunch menu is only a vegetable buffet. Look at these vegetables! It's very beautiful to see them lined up in rows. What makes a traditional restaurant special is that the vegetables are fresh and very delicious. The so-called salad bar type of restaurant is a restaurant that says, "We've prepared a salad for now!" It is great that you can enjoy the taste of the fresh vegetables themselves.
The traditional restaurant only opened in January of this year, but it is already a popular restaurant with long lines. When I asked about the time when there was no line, it's best to line up before 11:00 on Saturdays and Sundays, and by 11:15 on weekdays. There are 4 counter seats and 10 two-seater tables, so it's safe to count how many seats you're in when you line up.
The fourth place is Hotel New Otani SATSUKI. It is located between Yotsuya Station and Akasaka-mitsuke Station. New Otani's breakfast buffet is the ultimate breakfast buffet with the theme of "health" and "fermentation." This buffet is created by the executive chef. It is billed as the "new and strongest breakfast" made using only the carefully selected ingredients that Mr. Nakajima found while traveling all over Japan, and includes classic Japanese, Western, and Chinese dishes, as well as bread from "Pierre Hermé Paris" and other hot topics.
There is a wide variety of menus packed with special care, such as Iwaizumi yogurt. It is surprising that you can eat Pierre Hermé at a buffet. If you tell me the price first, it is 6,500 yen for adults. It is a good price of 7,500 yen including service charge. Honestly, I think 7,500 yen for breakfast is really expensive, but they provide food and service that is worth it. Lunch buffets can cost more than 10,000 yen, so I sometimes have a luxurious breakfast like this.
Of course, my recommendation is the all-you-can-eat ikura! It's a rare experience to be able to eat as much salmon roe as you want. Furthermore, as you would expect from New Otani, the food is delicious. Other options include the brown rice and egg omelet made with the eggs of birds raised on brown rice, and Pierre Hermé's, which I introduced at the beginning. The lineup is sure to satisfy, including former Prime Minister Suga's favorite pancakes and the much-talked-about Iwaizumi yogurt.
By the way, the much-talked-about Iwaizumi yogurt is completely additive-free yogurt produced from cows in Iwaizumi, Iwate Prefecture, and major leaguer Otani. This yogurt has been hailed by Shohei as "the world's most delicious yogurt." The inside of the store is a good old space with a sense of history, and there are 190 seats in total, so it's quite spacious. Even when the store is full, the buffet table is still large enough.
It's a breakfast buffet for adults that you can enjoy in a relaxed manner because it's not crowded. This buffet is very popular, and there will be a wait after 8 o'clock during the business hours from 7 to 10 o'clock, so if you go, the best time to go is around 7 o'clock. We recommend you to try the breakfast at one of the top hotels in Tokyo.
The third place is MORETHAN TAPAS LOUNGE. More Than Lounge is located at the back of Shinjuku Central Park, 12 minutes from the west exit of Shinjuku Station and 5 minutes from Tochomae Station. This is a very popular all-you-can-eat bread shop that gets booked up two months in advance. It's located on the first floor of a hotel called The Knot Tokyo Shinjuku, so the interior is a stylish space with a natural feel.
Most of the customers are women in their 20s to 60s. 90% of the customers are women. Most of the time, there are 2-4 people who come for a girls' night out. The buffet includes side dishes such as hard bread and egg bread, as well as meals such as gratin and pasta pork shoulder loin, as well as donuts and tarts. They have a wide range of food, including desserts. Just looking at so many different dishes is soothing, so I brought it for the first time!
The best part of a buffet is that you can enjoy a variety of salads, side dishes, and even bread. The great thing about More Than Lounge is that in addition to the bread, the salads, prosciutto, and pasta are also very delicious. While there are many restaurants where the quality of other dishes is not so good, More Than Lounge is really delicious other than bread. It's an all-you-can-eat option for people like me who prefer taste over appearance and atmosphere.
This is 3,500 yen per person. The price of 300 yen makes it a good value as reservations are booked up to 2 months in advance. The hot tea is served right in front of you at your seat, and the cheerful customer service from the handsome and beautiful staff is also a big plus. Reservations for More Than Lounge are opened two months in advance, but the reservation slots fill up quickly, so we recommend deciding on the day you want to go and making preparations two months in advance. Some seats are also reserved on the day of the event. If you want to eat on the same day and don't mind waiting, we recommend going on the same day.
The second place is Bal Marche Kodama Steak & Lobster, located on the 2nd floor of Atre Meguro 2, which is directly connected to Meguro Station. Kodama offers all-you-can-eat raw ham, roast beef, and even canelé! It's an extremely satisfying buffet. The restaurant is a bright space with light coming in from the large windows. Customers come from a wide range of ages, from young people to adults, for a variety of occasions, including dates, couples, and girls' night out. Surprisingly, there are a lot of solo diners. This is also a special feature.
When ordering, you choose one main dish and then enjoy the buffet. Steak is especially popular among the main dishes, so if you can't decide, choose steak. The buffet table includes prosciutto, roast beef (only available on Saturdays and Sundays), marinated salad, bread, etc. I'm really happy that there are so many different types for only 1,000 yen, so I brought it!
As you would expect from a butcher shop, Kodama's raw ham and meat are really delicious. Honestly, when I heard that it was a "buffet that costs around 1,000 yen and includes a main course," I thought, "I guess the taste wouldn't be that great." Kodama is very delicious. It comes with lettuce and roast beef bread, so it's fun to have it as a sandwich like this.
What's more, you can also have all-you-can-eat canelé for dessert! This canelé also has a chewy taste. I'm really happy when I'm eating such a wonderful buffet. As for the waiting time, Kodama has a numbered ticket system, so I issue tickets at the beginning of my schedule in Meguro and then return after finishing my schedule in Meguro.
By the way, when I went there on Sunday, everyone got in from the opening time of 11:00, and by 12:00, there were 20 groups waiting. Please use this as a reference when you go.
1st place is Ginza Miko Sushi. Located on the 11th floor of the building behind Ginza Six, Ginza Miko Sushi is a must-see for sea urchin lovers! This is a paradise sushi restaurant where you can enjoy your meal to the fullest. The inside of the restaurant is designed with Japanese cypress wood, giving it a luxurious feel. Customers tend to come in groups of 1-2 people in their 20s to 60s.
Ginza Miko Sushi is only available for lunch. All-you-can-eat is a specialty, so today I'd like to introduce you to the all-you-can-eat option. The all-you-can-eat menu starts with an omakase course, and then comes the refill time, where you can have as many refills of your favorite toppings as you like.
First, 6 pieces of sea urchin are served. Today's sea urchin is from Canada, Russia, and Miyagi Prefecture. For those of you who thought, "Eh! There's no way sea urchin comes from overseas!" I thought so too at first, but this is really delicious. On the day I went, there were about 10 customers, and the most popular dish was the Russian-Canadian one, which you can enjoy in the nigiri style that I will introduce later, which was really popular.
Next was the Kyushu sode squid, which had a sticky texture. The scallops from Hokkaido are so big that you can't even see the sushi rice. The scallops from Hokkaido are so big that you can't see the sushi rice. It's very delicious, with a thick, plump texture and a pleasant crunch that melts in your mouth. Scallops from Nagasaki Prefecture, although the meat is lean, have a rich taste that makes you feel the fat.
The light-tasting shrimp is sandwiched here, which calms your mouth. Kanpachi from Kochi Prefecture has a crunchy texture and a refreshing flavor. The red sea bream from Ehime Prefecture has an elegant sweetness. The red sea bream is so delicious that some people ate about 10 pieces of it during the refill time after the course. The addition of the mackerel at the end of the course makes it taste great.
This is the Toro Tekka Maki, of which there were 10 people, and almost everyone ordered a second helping. This Tekka Maki is really delicious with melty tekka wrapped in flavorful seaweed. The Tekka Maki is the highlight. The feeling of having sushi prepared in a live kitchen right in front of you is also something you can only enjoy at counter sushi.
The horse mackerel from Nagasaki Prefecture is topped with finely grated green onions, creating a wonderful combination of the flavor of the horse mackerel and the flavor of the grated green onion. The next tuna from Nagasaki Prefecture, medium fatty tuna, is so fatty that your cheeks will fall off. The final dish, the boiled conger eel, is a perfect match with the sweet sauce, making it the perfect sweet of the sushi world.
That's it for the Omakase Nigiri course. And from here, the all-you-can-eat time starts! At Miko Sushi, you can have as many refills of your favorite 3 pieces as you like until 90 minutes have passed. What's especially amazing is that you can even add sea urchin to your toppings like tuna or red sea bream. The owner of Miko Sushi loves sea urchin too much. It seems that they are doing this with the idea that "I want everyone to eat really delicious sea urchin!"
You can also put sea urchin on hand-rolled sushi, and the beautiful sea urchin shines golden. What's even more amazing is the sea urchin. You can also enjoy it as a nigiri rather than a gunkan. This way of eating is unique to Miko Sushi, which is particular about sea urchin. The rich flavor of the sea urchin comes directly to you without being interfered with by the seaweed, so you can enjoy the sea urchin to its fullest.
If you're thinking, "That's great! I want to eat a lot! But I'm not sure if I can eat that much!" Don't worry, you can eat it without sushi rice. My Miko Sushi is amazing! What struck me was not only the delicious sushi but also the wonderful customer service from the staff. The customers were always smiling and had fun chatting with each other, sometimes joking. It was a very satisfying sushi that not only filled your stomach but also filled your heart.
What's even more surprising is that the all-you-can-eat meal is so satisfying that it only costs 11,000 yen. It's really nice to be able to eat so much sea urchin for just one day's lunch at this price. The downside is that it's so popular that reservations fill up in 5 minutes. Reservations for the following month are released at midnight on the 1st of every month.
The key point to make reservations is that the all-you-can-eat lunch on Saturdays and Sundays fills up quickly, so make sure to book on weekdays in advance. We recommend that you decide on a weekday slot when it starts at 0:00 a.m. Enjoy the most delicious sea urchin and the most satisfying customer service.
Today, we introduced you to the top 10 delicious all-you-can-eat restaurants in Tokyo. Are there any shops we introduced that interest you? Today I introduced 10 shops, so I have summarized them in a table to make it easier to understand. This is just my personal opinion, but I would be happy if you could use it as a reference.
The locations of the 10 shops I introduced today are: Here it is! Finally, I'd like to introduce you to my recommended scene. Renewed in June of this year. If you want all-you-can-eat delicious bread, go to Bakery & Restaurant Sawamura. If you want an exquisite curry buffet that uses triple the amount of aromatic vegetables, which is good for the body, make a curry reservation.
Japan's only all-you-can-eat Starbucks that fills up in 5 seconds has earned the Apellicena Michelin rating. If you're looking for the best Chinese food, each and every monkey is delicious, and you'll be completely satisfied. If you're looking for all-you-can-eat food, Motsuyoshi Shibuya store is the savior when you're running out of vegetables!
Opened in January this year, for the extremely popular all-you-can-eat vegetables, go to a local restaurant. For the ultimate breakfast buffet with the theme of health and fermentation, go to Hotel New Otani. For a bread buffet in a hotel space, which gets booked up two months in advance, go to MORETHAN TAPAS LOUNGE. For the best value-for-money buffet with outstanding satisfaction, a must-see for Balmarche Kodama sea urchin lovers!
