We finally have some good Roblox news. It's not every day we have good news. Most of the time it's bad, but today we have some good. We have some bad news, too. Don't get me wrong. We have some news that's absolutely going to make everybody mad, and everyone's going to be complaining about it in the comment section, but we also finally [laughter] have some good news.
So, what do you guys want to start with first? You want to start with the bad news? Oh, we definitely have some bad news. We had, like I said, we have some stuff that's going to make a lot of people mad, but we also have some good news. You know, let's just start with the bad news, okay? We'll get to the bad news and then we'll get to the good news at the end. Okay, also stay tuned because I'm going to be addressing this huge Tik Tok rumor that's been going around. Anyway, subscribe to make that number up there go up and let's get into the bad news before the good news.
So, Roblox is resetting usernames that contain YT in it. Basically, if your Roblox username has the word or letters YT in it, your account is is kind of screwed. You're just you're going to get your username reset. Now, for those of you that don't know, YT of course stands for YouTube. People put it in their name. I used to have it in my name, you know, Creek YT, Creek YouTube. Well, Roblox doesn't like that because uh people are getting warned for it. Some people are actually getting banned for it that I've seen. It says directing users off platform. Roblox does not permit the use of off-site links of any kind, links to Gilded, YouTube, etc., etc., etc. So, offensive item. And you can see right here, it's got YT in it. It's just his name with YT in it. This actually happened to a big Roblox YouTuber, Chiseled. Of course, many of you guys know Chiseled. His name was I think like chiseled YT or something like that and Roblox reset my username for having YT in it and now his name is just Roblox user 565. I don't know if you have to pay to change that. Like do they have to pay to change that now? Is his name just permanently stuck like that? Or do does Roblox give you a free name change?
Now the reason why Roblox does this is they say that having YT in your name will influence kids to go to YouTube aka offplatform aka dangerous to kids. My argument is that every kid on the planet already knows what YouTube is, so like, you know, who cares? But that's the that's the reason Roblox is doing this. So, if you have YT in your name, be careful. Get ready for your name to be reset or get a warning or something like that.
Speaking of name resets, it looks like Roblox is actually going kind of hard with this. So, here's a Roblox YouTuber. Her name is uh Angelas. Angelaz Angelus. She's had this username since 2014. And [laughter] Roblox considered her name swearing. She got a warning. Your behavior broke the rules. Swearing. Roblox does not permit profane language or slurs. Offensive item. Angela's. [laughter] Yeah, it seems like Roblox's name name moderation is going a little bit haywire right now cuz as you can see, like everyone knows her name wasn't swearing, and it definitely wasn't a slur, but her name got reset.
Anyway, now let's talk about the thing that's going to make everybody mad. Get ready. Sit down. All right, get the buckle up, buttercups. Okay, Roblox is announcing a new way to make games on mobile. That's right, you can make Roblox games on mobile now. Introducing Build, a new AI powered. Let me zoom in on this. Okay, introducing Build, a new AI powered tool that allows creators to generate games by typing in a text prompt. Launching July 28th, 2026. Yeah. So, you can now make games on mobile on the Roblox app by typing in a text prompt of what you want the game to be. And then Roblox just completely AI generates the entire game. As you can see, here's the text prompt and they just they AI generated the entire freaking game. Now, Roblox is really excited about this. David Bazooki's been tweeting about it. Roblox has been tweeting about it. Here's a little here's a demo here. This is one of the games that the AI generated again with the the stupid avatars, bro. Like, stop using those avatars, Roblox. No one uses those. But they're like, "Hey, make the game nighttime." and and then it makes the game nighttime because, you know, AI and and then you can publish it. And I'm not going to lie, this is kind of scary for a few reasons. Is Roblox just going to be filled with bad AI generated games now? Yeah, probably. Probably.
So, here's David Bazooki's tweet on it. He He's really excited. He wrote a whole paragraph. Um, he says, "For 20 years, Roblox has been on a mission to remove the limits on what gaming is and what it can be. Today, we're introducing a build, a new way for anyone to create a game." Look, I'm going to be honest, and this might be a hot take, okay? I don't think anyone should be able to be a Roblox game developer. Just like I don't think anyone should be able to be an astronaut. I don't think anyone should be able to be a YouTuber. I don't think anyone should be able to be, I don't know, a car salesman or a McDonald's employee or whatever it may be. Everyone can't be everything. If you want to be an astronaut, there's a certain level of hard work and dedication that you have to go through to get to that level. Okay? Everyone just can't be an astronaut. If you want to be a teacher or a scientist, there's a certain education level you have to go through. There's a certain level of hard work you have to go through to get to that point. And like look, obviously being a Roblox game developer isn't comparable to being a freaking astronaut. Okay? You're not going to space. But there's a certain level of hard work and dedication that you got to get to to to to be there to get there. It's like people ask me all the time, Creed, can you give me a shout out? I want subs for my YouTube channel. No, no, I'm not. If you want subs for your YouTube channel, hard work, dedication, get to work. Stop asking. All right? Just get to work. Same thing with Roblox game development. If you want to learn how to be a Roblox game developer, guess what? You got to work for it. You got to put your nose down to the grindstoneone. You got to work. If you want it bad enough, go get it. I don't like this idea that, well, now anybody can be a Roblox game developer. All you have to do is just type in a prompt and now you made a game. It's called the power of play. I don't know if that's a hot take or not, but like I don't know. It's it's it's there's so many other things that they could be doing besides this. You know what I mean? Why is that up there going down? Why why is that number Everybody SUBSCRIBE RIGHT NOW? I'M NOT EVEN LIVE AND I'M GETTING WHAT THE HECK'S GOING ON?
ANYWAY, uh this this actually might be good news depending on the person. Roblox has gotten rid of the Roblox connect feature. So, a lot of you guys probably didn't even know this was a thing, but you can um you can call people on Roblox or at least you could. You could you could literally call people through Roblox and like FaceTime them through Roblox. It was called Roblox Connect. I'm pretty sure I was the only person to ever use it. This is what it looked like. You could go through your recent calls and you could literally call people. But here's the problem. Nobody used this. You want to know why? Because, well, you you got FaceTime. You got FaceTime. You got Discord. No one's like, "Hey, bro. You going to call me on Roblox?" No one's going to do that. I It It's kind of, you know, shocking that Roblox thought that that was ever going to be a thing that people would actually just call people on Roblox instead of like, you know, Discord or FaceTime. But well, turns out people didn't do that and no one used it and so Roblox got rid of it and so now it's gone.
Okay, last bit of bad news, I swear. Okay, starting September 21st, Roblox will limit Roblox Plus users to one free private server per game instead of allowing unlimited free servers for the same game. So, basically right now here, I'll just I'll just show you. Okay, if you have Roblox Plus, you can go on pretty much any game and you can just make a whole bunch of private servers. I have a whole bunch of private servers as you can see right here. I just keep making them. And the reason why is cuz well, I'm I I actually don't really have a good reason, but I I have a bunch. And well, what was happening is people were making a bunch of private servers and then selling access to them. And this was messing with game economies. This was messing with the game developers money and and paychecks. And so Roblox is like, "Okay, hold on a second. No, no, no. You get one free private server per game. That's it." and they sent out this whole email basically explaining why we're making this change to prevent a small number of users from bypassing creator set limits which was disrupting game economies and impacting creator earning. And look, as a streamer, this does kind of suck because having multiple servers does actually help me as a streamer. But for normal players, like it probably doesn't really matter. Like you don't really need more than one server. Like like I never use more than one server anyway, you know? Like it's not really that big of a deal. There there there's worse things to complain about than this. I think it's probably going to be fine. Now, I believe you can still have multiple servers. You just have to pay for extra ones, which I'm fine with. That's that's okay. Sure. That that's an okay system, but you you get one for free. Okay.

So, the first bit of good news, server authority is now available to all creators. All Roblox games now have access to this. Now, what is this? I've talked about this in the past. Basically, server authority is this new Roblox feature. I'm I'm not going to get into the the details of it. It's very nerdy and hard to kind of explain, but basically what it does is it prevents hackers from flying. You know, you go in MM2 and everyone's like bing bing bing bing bing bing flying around. You go natural disaster survival. Bing bing bing bing bing bing bing. Everyone's flying around. This stops that. Fly hackers can't fly hack anymore. Or at least that's the idea anyway. because the amount of times that Roblox has come out and said, "Hey guys, we fixed the hacker problem. Don't worry." And then it turns out, guess what? They didn't fix the hacker problem. But but I'm I'm I'm I'm hoping I'm hoping that this time the hacker problem is fixed. In fact, you know what? Let's test it out. Oh my god. I'm looking through all these MM2 servers and I'm not seeing any bot servers. I don't know if you guys remember, but like a few months ago, this entire thing was just filled up with with bot accounts. And like obviously there can still be bots. They just shouldn't be able to fly around anymore. Okay, this one here looks like it's got some bots in it. Let's join them and see if they're able to fly around. Moment of truth. Here we go. Okay, click play. Let's go ahead and spectate and let's Okay, wait a minute. Wait, it might not be a bot. Wait a minute. I don't think they're bots. I DON'T THINK THEY'RE BOTS. THEY'RE NOT FLYING. These actually might just be real players. Oh my god. ROBLOX IS SAVED. ROBLOX IS SAVED. ROBLOX IS BACK. SO, it looks like it's actually working at At least in this game. It looks like it's actually working. W Roblox, let's freaking go. You did something incredible. I'm so happy.
Roblox also released a report on how well reporting works on Roblox. Basically explaining the process and how they go through banning people. And it was actually really interesting reading. So basically they said that there's a problem on Roblox where people can bypass the the filter by doing stuff like this. But they're fil they're fil they're fixing that. They're fixing that. But they're fixing that now. They recognize that it's a problem and they're fixing it. So they shouldn't be able to do stuff like this anymore. Great. Good job, Roblox. They even mentioned the hacking problem in natural disaster survival, which I talked about like like a minute ago, and basically just went through the entire process of how they catch exploiters and stuff, which is, you know, really cool. So, I'm glad that Roblox released this. It's really interesting if you're a nerd. So, if you're a nerd and you want to learn how Roblox reporting works, you can go check that out.
Now, we have some more interesting news. Roblox is adding speech to text to chat. So, basically how this works is let's say you're playing a Roblox game and you need to be able to play the game, but you need you want to be able to talk in the chat at the same time, right? So, before you would have to kind of stop moving, you know, type what you want to say in the chat and then boom, there you go. But now Roblox can actually listen to the microphone on your device and turn what you're saying in real life into chat in the game. So, I could be, you know, playing Roblox and just be like, "Hey everyone, I'm going to the B flag." and then Roblox will turn my text or turn my speech into text and then it'll go into the chat. So, you can actually use the chat. It's kind of like voice chat without voice chat. You can you can talk to the chat and literally just tell it what to say. It It's pretty cool. W update. It It only really works, I guess, with people that's in your age group. But, I mean, it's it's a cool update either way. Here's what it looks like in the game, courtesy of this guy named My Water Brock. Um, but they got the little microphone right there. You just tap it and then you just talk and then it just types whatever you say in real life. So W update. The one thing I'm worried about with this though is what if it detects you saying a bad word even though you didn't. There's very many cases like on my recent Minecraft streams with Varity where I have said something completely normal but the speech to text or text to speech, whatever you want to call it, it thinks I said a bad word. What if Roblox thinks you accidentally said like something really bad and then Roblox bans you even though you didn't, you know, obviously say it? That's the only thing I'm worried about.
Anyway, we got more Roblox good news. Okay, Roblox is adding a new switch server button to the escape menu. So, have you ever been in a Roblox game and you want to just swap servers? Maybe there's someone annoying in the server. Maybe there's a hacker. Maybe your best friend joined and you're trying to pretend you're offline and you don't want to play with them. Okay, so you just open up the Roblox menu and you just click switch server and it just puts you in a different server. You don't have to leave the game anymore and go through the server list. You just click the button that says switch server. I'm not going to lie, this is probably one of my favorite Roblox features cuz the amount of times that I want to leave a server and then I have to leave the game, go through the server list, not to do that anymore. W update Roblox. Like, this is good. Finally, a useful feature. OMG, finally. Let's go.
Now, we got some more good news, and it has to do with Oh, thank you. Someone subscribed. Finally, let's go. Um, we got some more good news. It has to do with 2D clothing. If you don't know, Roblox kind of killed 2D clothing because they lowered the amount that you make from 70% cut to 30% cut. Okay? So, you're making 40% less. And also, you have to pay 800 Robux to upload a a shirt. Okay? So, 2D Clothing is kind of dead. Roblox just killed it. Well, everyone was really mad about that. Shocker. Of course, people would be mad about that. Roblox kind of listened here. So, Roblox has lowered the price of uploading and publishing 2D clothing. It will now cost 80 Robux to upload and 10 Robux to publish. So, it went from 800 to 90. That's really good. That's good. That's a big drop off. So, instead of 800 Robux, it's now 90 Robux. That's I'm happy about that. Good. Good job, Roblox. Good job. I love this image here. We lowered the price to 90 Robux. Okay, Roblox. We cool. No, I still [laughter] Yeah, I mean, even though Roblox did this, it is way better. Don't get me wrong. It It is way better. League's better. That's like it's less than a dollar now versus before it was $8. But do keep in mind Roblox is still taking 40% more of your money. So it does still kind of suck. But at least they're listening a little bit. I guess that's the that's that's where we're at, chat, in 2026. Well, at least Roblox is listening a little bit. Before they weren't listening at all. It still sucks. We're still getting a hot metal iron rod shoved up our buttholes, but at least the rod is just cooled off a little bit. It's not as hot as it was before. It's still getting shoved up there, but at least it's not as hot as it was before. That's that's that's where we're at in 2026.
Now, I want to talk about this here because this was really funny. There's this new Roblox clone, I guess that's what you call it, called Brricadia. And this isn't sponsored or anything. I just I thought this was funny. Okay, so they're showing off their physics destruction feature. And how they did it is by destroying the Roblox HQ. This game just straight up called Roblox out. They released this this video just straight up destroy I like I got to be careful with my words here, right? Like you know what I mean? But like it you just you can just look at the tweet here. It I I got to be careful with my words cuz this is America and things like these are like this is scary, right? But like it's it's funny. They they they in a video game blew up the Roblox HQ. And what what a way to call Roblox out. It got like 2 million views, 8,000 likes. They're like, "Hey, look, our game's better than Roblox. You can do this in it." So, I don't know if the game's good or not. I've never played it. Maybe it is, maybe not. But I just thought that was funny. No one's ever called Roblox like that out before.
Now, let's talk about this. There's a bunch of videos all over Tik Tok saying, "Hey, if you want to play Roblox games starting August 1st, you're going to need Roblox Plus." Let me read this here. It says, "Introducing Roblox Plus exclusive experiences. On August 1st, these experiences will become Roblox Plus exclusives. Animal Hospital, Murder Mystery 2, Fle, Dandy's World, Rivals, etc., etc., etc." And everyone on TikTok has been freaking out about this. Oh my god, is it real? Am I going to need Roblox Plus to play these Roblox games? No, this is not real. And look, normally I come on here and I go, "Oh my god, Tik Tok guys, you guys got to stop being so stupid. Use your brain. Use your critical thinking skills." In this case, I'm not because look, I'm not going to be honest. Roblox has done so many crazy things in the past like year that it it wouldn't shock me if Roblox tried doing something like this, you know, like that's that's where we're at. It wouldn't shock me if Roblox tried doing something like this. I wouldn't say, "Oh, wow. That's shocking." Um, but no, this is fake. This is not a thing. As as of today, which I'm recording this on July 19th, as of today, this is not a thing. It might be a thing in the future, I don't know, but as of right now, this is not a thing. It is fake. You do not need Roblox Plus to play certain experiences. You just need to have uh age check, uh family, uh birth certificate, history, you need to submit a DNA test, and you also need to write a uh 10 paragraph essay to the King of England. And then there's certain games you can play. But besides that, no, you don't have to have Roblox Plus.
