Does the Prophet ﷺ Know Everything? Response to Mohammed Hijab

So, here's the thing. If the question on the powers that a human being could have, right? The number one thing is that if you say that a person intrinsically has power, that's kuffar. No human being has any power, but he can be a means only. A sabbath. Only Allah Ta'ala is the doer of things. The real true doer of things is Allah Subhana Wa Ta'ala. And human beings can be the means. That's it. And we don't believe also that Allah places his power in other people. So, Allah placed my power to lift phones and here I am using that power. No, that's that's a bid'ah.

That's fisq according to Sayyidi Ahmad al-Dardir's Kharidat al-Bahiya, which is um he's repeating that. He didn't come up with that idea himself. He's just saying what is the Sunni position on that. Uh that's our belief and that's our aqidah. So, if somebody wants to say that somebody is a sabbath for anything, and Allah can use anybody as a sabbath for anything. That's true. That's a fact. Now, whether or not Allah does it is a second question. Now, we need proof. But rationally, by sharia, could it ha- rationally meaning, could it be? Does it contradict tawhid? No, it doesn't. If Allah wanted to make uh uh a very small thing as a means for very huge movements, it's possible, right? It's very possible. Allah using COVID a little um virus that nobody can see to stop the world. Okay. That's assuming that it wasn't um you know, a planned operation. Cuz you know, once that rabbit hole opens up, I go down every single one, right? I go down every single one and I think they're conservative, too. The truth is far worse. The truth of what the powers that be in this world are doing is far 10 times worse than anything all these conspiracy theories imagine. But any event, even that is a cyber from Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala. So, that's why I don't really care so much about conspiracy theories either because let's hypothetically say we identified the elite who are satanic elite who are doing all this, okay? Allah put them there, right? So, we're just going to keep doing what we're doing what Allah told us to do in the sharia. That's it.

>> I'm willing and and changed if I'm I might be honest with you and tell you that, right? So, for example, I don't know if you were defending him, but there was this guy that was like an extremist, essentially, extreme Sufist. He was I don't know what he was saying that Muhammad sallallahu alaihi wasallam basically control the atoms of the creation. He was saying that he can create he can create another universe or something. I don't know what he was saying. Something like this. He can hear everything. He knows everything. I I don't know what to make out of his mentally ill or that he's not a Muslim. Sorry to say.

>> All right, okay. Number one, before I finish the clip, number one, um nobody could say anything like that except without a nass. Now, there is a nass about the prophet knowing everything. There is a hadith. The hadith of the debate of the highest angels in which Ibn Rajab, he has a shark on it. The prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam said in a dream he felt a coolness in his hand and all the knowledge of the heavens and earth entered him. So, if you go by that, then yeah, it's not unfathomable that the prophet knows everything. Because Allah made him know everything. Imam al-Haddad said, "Nobody knows everything except Allah and the prophets know most of the things." So, we're just saying what the opinions are out there. As I always say, we don't judge in Sufi society what we don't adjudicate the opinions of Ahl al-Sunnah. We just tell you what are the valid opinions that have been said. So, that's a hadith direct nass hadith. So, how that wouldn't put you out of Islam unless a person says he knows it from his own power. Okay? Independently of Allah. Next. Secondly, uh I'm not going to say this, but sometimes people are actually ill. And they actually uh are on medications. And that causes their judgment to be clouded in what they say.

>> Yeah, this is beyond the pale, bro. This is the kind of thing that's too much, bro. So, you were kind of giving him courtesy, and I was thinking, "Okay."

>> So, ex- explain how is it How is that beyond the pale of Islam when the prophet himself said, "I felt a coolness on my back, and thereupon all the knowledge of the heavens and the earth entered me." Now, could be all with exceptions. Thank you. It could be, right? And it could be all, actually, all the knowledge of the heavens and the earth. Now, it is sort of um I would say the expression of saying he knows every single leaf that's dropping, as some say. Yeah, maybe that expression wasn't used. The prophet just Just stick to the expression the prophet said. And if pull up that hadith. It's It's the debate of the highest angels. And so, if that's the person's aqidah, then that comes straight from the prophet Sallallahu alayhi wasallam. Uh all of the actual creation is limited. So, it's not an absolute unlimited amount of knowledge, cuz the infinite is for Allah Subhana but the Allah's knowledge is infinite, but what what's actually created at any given time has a limit. So, how is that beyond the pale? Ex- Exactly. Now, you can say, "Well, no, that's not the meaning of the hadith." Fine, we can say that. But it could is one possible. I saw my Lord in the greatest of images. He said, this is in a dream. "In what do all of the the an- highest angels debate?" Prophet said, "You know best." So, he placed his palm between my two uh shoulders, and I felt its coolness in my breast. So, now I knew what is in the heavens and the earth." And he would then recited, "In this manner do we show Abraham the kingdom of the heavens and the earth? So, Ibrahim alayhis salaam was also shown the same. So, I would say if you want to know what the aqidah is, you stick it you stick to what the prophet said, and that's it. Now, why would you need to go any further? In this way, Sheikh Rami always says he's an Ash'ari Athari. Like, why would you need to go any further if if the prophet wanted to say that he knows the leaf every fallen he would have said that this is what he said, so just stop right there. And that encompasses a lot of meanings. You want to interpret it now as most but not all. You want to interpret it as literally all as he said. That's up for discussion, and that's interpretation. But, as as for the utterance of what the prophet has knowledge of, it says now what about the the the the the ayah? Nobody knows what is coming in the future and the five things in uh famous hadith of Ibn Mas'ud citing the Quran and giving tafsir of the Quran, there's five things nobody knows. Right? So, the e e even that, how do how do you match that with this? So, A, nobody knows from himself, but he can know by Allah telling him. Right? So, nobody knows from himself. That's one of the meanings of it. Um what's going to happen tomorrow, what's in the womb. Okay, but to a degree we can know something of what's in the womb if Allah gives us a technology to know it. Right? Such as with a scan. Nobody knows what's in the womb unless Allah informs us through a a mukashafah as Abu Bakr as-Siddiq when he was telling Sayyidah Aisha how to divide up the inheritance, he said, "Your sister." She said, "I have no other sister besides Asma." He said, "Your mother's pregnant, and it's going to be a girl." That's what we call mukashafah. So, Allah made him know it. Okay? We don't know what's going to happen tomorrow or in the future unless the prophet is informed by Jibreel alayhis salaam and therefore tells us there's going to be a Dajjal who comes and he has one eye, so that's in the future. All these types of things, so nobody knows with from himself. But he can know if Allah informs him. So, that would not be kufr. Okay? That would not be kufr. Now, the the the statement that you can say he knows every number of grains of sand, you can say, well, that statement, don't say those things without knowledge because you can be attacked for just saying stuff that's nobody ever said before. Just stick to what the Prophet Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam said here in this Hadith. From Mishkat al-Masabih. That's it. Then, you're on safe grounds cuz that's all I'm pointing to. And I'm not going to interpret it any further. Why would I? What need do I have to do with much more more interpretation than this? One of the reasons why Imam Maliki hated extremism so much is because you actually burden yourself more than Allah burdens you. Allah puts upon you a certain burdens. Believe this, do this. Why are you now going further asking more questions and now having to defend more doctrines when Allah himself didn't burden you with that? Same with worship, acts of worship. All right? Obligations. Is my prayer valid if I do this? Is my prayer valid if I do this? I I I study the fiqh and that's it. Don't don't keep burdening yourself with more and more things that will make the deen hard to answer or hard to practice. Uh Adventure Sofu Ad says, "Sheikh Sadik made it clear that the knowledge of the heavens and the earth doesn't encompass all knowledge." Yeah, like for example, the essence of Allah. I'm telling you guys when you go into these things take a nass. Believe that. Call it a day. Why are we picking away at it? Why are you picking away at it? It's like a pimple. Stop picking away at the pimple. You're going to make it worse. Just leave it alone. Put some hot cloth on it and call it a day.
