Today we will look at some vital lessons about events of the future, which, of course, affects your life, your family, our nation, and this present generation of humanity here on earth. Please open with me to Genesis chapter 40. Genesis chapter 40.
We would look at, um, verse 12 to 13, and then we would also look at verse 18 to 22. Genesis chapter 40, verse 12 to 13. I would want to please read from the Easy to Read version of the Bible.
"Then Joseph said, 'I will explain the dream to you. The three branches mean three days. Before the end of three days, Pharaoh will forgive you and allow you to go back to your work. You will do the same work for Pharaoh as you did before.'"
Then we go to verse 18 to 22. Genesis 40.
"Joseph said, 'I will tell you what the dream means. The three baskets mean three days. Before the end of three days, the king will take you out of this prison and cut off your head. He will hang your body on the pole, and the birds will eat it.' Three days later, it was Pharaoh's birthday. He gave a party for all his servants. At the party, Pharaoh allowed the wine server and baker to leave the prison. Though he freed the wine server and gave him his job back, and once again the wine server put a cup of wine in Pharaoh's hand, but Pharaoh hanged the baker. And everything happened the way Joseph said it would."
I stand as God's servant today, and I declare over your life that every good dream you have had from the Lord, may the Lord faithfully bring them to pass at their point of time. I stand as God's servant in agreement with you today, and I also decree that any negative thing that has been seen by revelation concerning you or your loved ones, I decree that by the mercies of God, those negative things are canceled in the name of Jesus. Any negative thing that was supposed to happen that has been revealed ahead of time, by the mercies of God, the Lord intervened and comes to them in the name of Jesus. You will not die before your time. With long life and good health will the Lord satisfy you. You shall be well with your loved ones in Jesus' name. Amen.
So we begin to look at some of the lessons. One, God has the power to foresee every event of the future. As we as we stand today, God has already spoken of things that will happen over 1,000 years from now, and that is irreversible. It's inevitable. It's sure. He's setting revelations about the rapture and then the second coming of our Lord Jesus. Now, to the physical head, because when He comes initially at the rapture, He won't descend to the earth. He would stop at the skies, and all the dead in Christ will rise up instantly at the same time to be caught up with Him. And then all of us, the believers who are alive, will also be caught up to be with Him in the skies. Then seven years after, He will return with all the saints, all the believers that were raptured. He will return seven years after to dwell and reign on this earth, and that will mark the beginning of the 1,000-year millennium reign of Christ here on earth. While that is starting off, Satan will be chained and thrown into the bottomless pit, not yet the lake of fire. The lake of fire is the ultimate final end of Satan. But when Jesus comes back with the saints after the seven years after the rapture, Satan will be chained and imprisoned in the bottomless pit for 1,000 years while we are reigning here with Christ on earth in the millennium reign. And then many other prophecies have also been given, even of what things that will surely happen after the millennium reign of Christ.
We could see how God appeared to a man called Abraham in Genesis chapter 15, verse 13 to 14, and God told him what will happen over 600 years ahead of time. 600 years ahead of time. The generation that will even witness the events that God talked about, we are not yet conceived, we are not yet born. And when that time came, everything happened exactly how God had revealed 600 years ago. Over 150 years before a man called Cyrus was born, the Spirit of God came upon His prophet Isaiah, and he declared and prophesied that a man called Cyrus, and he will be king, and some specific divine assignment that he will carry out in his lifetime was mentioned in the prophecy over 150 years before the time. And then when the time came, a man emerged with the same, with the exact name, and the man became president of his country as prophesied over 150 years before the time.
God has the power to foresee every event of the future. How today we end, how this month will end, how this year will end. God has the power to foresee most events of the future that are either bound to happen in the future or capable of happening in the future can be seen ahead of time, even before the actors in such events are born. So some of the things that will happen in your lifetime, we are already known before you were born. I pray you will fulfill destiny. Let God hear your amen. And that is why even the destiny and the future accomplishments of an unborn baby can be predetermined. It can be predetermined even before the child is born. Something, for instance, John the Baptist was another example. So many events that are either bound to happen in the future or capable of happening in the future can be seen ahead of time before the actors in such events will even think of taking such actions, before the actors of so in such events will even plan on taking such actions, before the actors in such events will even decide what you are not, you have not even decided on, God knows, can see ahead what will ultimately be your decision.
Now, in Genesis chapter 40, verse 12 to 13 and 18 to 22, we just read the story of the chief butler of Pharaoh and the chief baker of Pharaoh, who were both in prison with Joseph. Now, Joseph saw them the way they were looking a bit disturbed, and they asked, "There was the issue?" And the two of them said they had a dream, and they were convinced that that dream had, uh, some a message, coded message, some hidden meanings. Unfortunately, they could not interpret the dream. But one of the gifts of God upon Joseph was the interpretation of dreams. So he encouraged them to share their dream with him, and therein, as they shared the dream, God's gift in him was activated, and he correctly interpreted the meaning of the dream, and he told them what was going to happen to each of them according to the meaning of the dream they had.
Then secondly, he also interpreted the timing that was being revealed in the dream, that what was supposed to happen will happen in three days' time. Three days' time. So what exactly was going to happen and the exact time it will happen was seen ahead of time. And quite strangely, it eventually happened exactly the way it was earlier revealed. Even when, take note of this, even when Pharaoh was not, you know, had not yet thought of what of taking a decision concerning the chief butler and the chief baker, it is very possible that Pharaoh took that decision concerning the two of them on that third day. Now, before he took the decision, it was already seen in the spirit realm three days earlier what he was going to decide concerning each of them. So even when Pharaoh had not yet thought of taking a decision about what he would do to the chief butler and the chief baker, his subsequent decision and action was already, was already known for seeing in the spirit, in the spirit realm three days earlier. Therefore, certain decisions or actions that people are not yet thinking about or designed to do, but which they will ultimately end up doing, can be foreseen earlier in the spirit realm.
For instance, Peter's imminent denial of our Lord Jesus Christ, which our Lord Jesus had revealed in Matthew chapter 26, verse 31 to 35. He told him clearly, "Peter, before the cock crows, you are going to deny me three times." Now, take note, Peter was absolutely loyal to our Lord Jesus Christ, and he was ready to die protecting or fighting for our Lord Jesus Christ. So when our Lord Jesus Christ told him, "You would deny me three times," he confidently told Jesus, "That can never happen, not even once, three times." And Jesus gave it time. He gave a timeline, just like the dream of the chief butler and the chief baker said, "Before the cock crows tomorrow morning, you will deny me three times." So even what you have, you don't even desire to do, but which you will end up doing. Why did Peter deny Jesus? It was due to overwhelming influence, overwhelming influence on him. He was overwhelmed. Ordinarily, he would never have done it. So this is one of the reasons why we have to be very, very sensitive to divine warnings. Don't ever be overconfident about yourself, about what you will do, because even what you don't desire to do, but which you may end up doing, God can see it ahead. And because He knows your heart, He will reveal it ahead of time. And what is He expecting you to do? Two things: He's expecting you to take some precautionary measures, and then secondly, He's expecting you to also pray, pray ahead, so that that imminent thing will not eventually happen. So God is for knowing. God can foresee the end of everything. God can foresee how anything you do will end. He can foresee. God can foresee how every decision will end. Will Donald Trump return for his second term as president of the United States of America this year? God has already seen it ahead of time. And one interesting lesson you are going to discover as we close it up before the end of the message is that God has the power to predetermine how things will end. God has the power to influence how things will ultimately end. So even if ordinarily, based on maybe popularity with the majority of people, he was not going to win, if God is determined to return him as president of the country, then God will step in and influence the course of events. Proverbs 21 verse 1 tells us that the heart of every man, the heart, even the heart of kings, are in the hands of God, and He can, God can turn the heart of any man to do whatever He wants if God decides to. This includes unbelievers. So God can make anybody do anything He wants if God decides to. So God can foresee how every decision will end. You can foresee how every choice that you make will end. God can foresee how every relationship will end. God can foresee how every friendship will end. God can foresee how every partnership will end. Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. And the implication of that divine instruction is that there will be no divine intervention to make such relationships work. When you connect with the right person with God's approval, then when things are going wrong, when you call on God, God now will step in, intervene, and put things right. But when God has told you clearly, "Don't partner with this kind of person," if you defy God and go ahead, you are alone. Proverbs, sorry, Psalm 127 verse 1 makes it clear that except the Lord builds the house, the labor in vain that build. Except the Lord watches over the city, he that watches watches in vain. Build the house. There, the house there, just like Proverbs 14 verse 1, "A wise woman builds a house." He's not talking about a physical house, he's talking about the family, he's talking about relationships. So except God is involved in a relationship, except God is involved in a marriage, you can put in all the effort to make it work, and it will work. It won't work because He's not committed to that relationship. So God can foresee how every pursuit will end. So there are things that ordinarily, there is no way you can succeed, there is no way. But if God is the one clearly saying, clearly saying to you, "Go ahead," then that means He is going to intervene the course of events to make things turn out in your favor. Can I hear that man or woman say, "Properly"? Say, "Powerful." Even to the Lord, God can foresee how every career will end. God can foresee, can foresee how every career will end. Sometimes people can look at your attributes and, you know, just like career counselors, and they look at certain key parameters, and with that, they can predict in what part of life you are wired to excel. That is normally accurate. But sometimes it could be out of the course of your destiny. That is why above all, above all, even when it looks so sure in a particular direction, subject it, everything to prayers in the presence of God, so we can still be sure that it's in agreement with God's will. So God can foresee how every job will end. So sometimes you may have two offers, and one comes with an excellent package, one comes with a lesser package. But God knows that the one with the lesser package is the one that is going to be more stable. God knows that in the process of time, that is the particular job that is going to favor you more. That is the job that will allow you to express yourself better in the part of your own divine destiny. There are some jobs that will take you away from God. There are some jobs that will run, you know, counter to what God has ordained you to become in life. God can see all of these things ahead of time. God can see how, foresee how every business will end. He can foresee how even every transaction will end. In Proverbs chapter 14 verse 12, Proverbs 14 verse 12, the Bible says, "There is a way." I'm reading from the Easy to Read version. "There is a way that people think is right. People think we could all agree that this is the right way to go." But he said, "But so sometimes, not all the time." He said, "But it leads only to death. It leads only to death."
Then, what's the second lesson? The exact timing of some future events can be foreseen. The exact timing of some future events can be foreseen. God has the power to predetermine how every day, [Music] week, month, year, or decade will end. God knows what will happen tomorrow. God knows what will happen today. God knows what will happen next week. God knows what will happen before the end of this year. God knows what will happen next year. And that is why I stand as God's servant with the Lord over your life, and I declare that those good things He has ordained to happen in 2020 for you or that loved one, they shall come to pass in the name of Jesus. Let the Lord hear your amen. [Music]
In Genesis chapter 40, verse 20 to 22, Genesis 40, 20 to 22, you could look at, uh, see exactly what happened with the fulfillment of the dream of the chief butler, the fulfillment of the dream of the chief baker. The time factor of their dreams. Joseph said, "This will happen in three days' time. You'll be restored." Then to the chief baker, he said, "This will happen in three days' time. You will be brought out of prison, but you'll be killed." The exact time that was predicted that Pharaoh would take to signing that third day eventually happened. Something good was foreseen concerning that third day for the chief butler, and that good thing that Joseph said will happen in three days' time actually happened for him. And that is why, one more time, we decree that every good thing that is supposed to happen for you in 2020 before December 31st midnight, the forces of heaven will influence that thing to happen. Whatever is that promise that God has given someone here, the Lord will bring that promise to pass. Whatever is that prophecy or revelation that has been confirmed repeatedly and is due to happen at this time, the Lord will faithfully bring it to pass. Somebody say, "My God is faithful, and what He has said, He will bring it to pass." So shall it be in the name of Jesus. Praise hear the Lord.
And this also happened with our Lord Jesus Christ. You know, it was predicted, and He Himself predicted it, that the Son of Man shall be killed, crucified, and killed. But on the third day, He will rise again. And He was predicted. This was predicted a long, long, long before He came, and it happened exactly as it was revealed.
Now, lesson number three: God has the power to future events. Another problem with some of these people who are spiritual, but they are working spiritually with powers that are not from God, and sometimes they have access through their spiritual powers to see, to also foresee future events. But that is where it ends. They don't have the power to determine what will happen. They don't have the power to change what was supposed to happen. And as a result, they end up also advising people wrongly. On a day you are supposed to travel, they can tell you, "Don't travel because we saw in a dream that you had an accident." God can show you danger, but that doesn't mean that God is saying, "Don't go in that direction anymore because there will be danger." Sometimes, in the path of God's will for your life, the fact that there is danger doesn't mean God doesn't want you to go further. No, but God is showing you ahead of time, and He's expecting you to be aware, prepare for it, and take one or two steps in order for you to overcome the revealed danger. So they will tell you, "This other people will tell you, don't travel, don't," because they could see something bad happening. But that is not so. Even when it is foreseen that a child is going to go astray, would you not disown that child? From even from the point of receiving that revelation, you are expected to begin to take steps to make sure that does not ultimately happen. So God has the power to predetermine future events, and that has already happened in your life to some extent, beginning with your destiny. Psalm 139 verse 16. Beginning with your destiny, there is a book of destinies in the hand of God, and the life of every one of you, your name, your birthday, your time here on earth, and some key events that God Himself has appointed to happen in your lifetime are in His book of destiny. Psalm 139:16. So that is why so many future events that God had earlier confirmed as setting, God confirmed some future events as irreversible, He confirmed some future events as inevitable, a very long time before they were due to happen, eventually still came to pass exactly the way it was earlier revealed. For instance, in Genesis 15:13 to 14, Genesis 15:13 to 14, God spoke to Abraham, "Behold, your seed, your, you know, future, uh, generation will be in in a strange land, and the people, the foreigners there, will oppress them, will enslave them for 400 years, and after which I will bring them out of that land, and when they are coming out, they will come out with great wealth." This happened exactly the way God had predetermined it to happen. Take note, in this particular revelation, it was not a probability. From my research, from my research, at least 95% of every future event are in the category of probabilities, but they have different degrees of probability, some even 99.5%. There are very, very few things that are absolutely sure and certain, and it's only God that can make anything irreversible. Only God has that power, but He really uses that power. He rarely uses it. So out of so many things God has said will happen this year, just about 5% of them will be irreversible. The rest are still promises of God, but they are subject to probability. But in Genesis 15, this revelation to Abraham was an irreversible revelation. Then in Genesis 41, Genesis 41:25 to 32, Genesis 41:25 to 32, this was the dream of Pharaoh that God enabled Joseph to interpret, and it was about an irreversible, some irreversible events that were going to happen over 14 years, over 14 years, seven years of great prosperity that will be followed by seven years of great recession, great recession, and it happened exactly the way it was revealed ahead of time. So God can predetermine the end of anything if He decides. God can predetermine how anything you do will end. God can predetermine how every decision will end. You can't predetermine how every choice will end. You can predetermine how every relationship will end. God can predetermine how every partnership will end. God can predetermine how every marriage will end. God can predetermine how every pursuit, career, job, or business will end. Always have this in mind.
Lesson number four: God has the power to change every future event. He has a power to change every future event. In Isaiah chapter 38, verse 1-7, Isaiah 38:1-7, the imminent death of King Hezekiah, which God Himself confirmed, God Himself confirmed was going to happen, did not eventually happen. And that is why I told you earlier that whatever is a negative dream, it can be canceled, it can be nullified. Prayer can change anything. And the truth is, you can move God with prayer. You can influence God with prayer. Prayer is very, very powerful. Talking about maybe the top 10, top seven activities in the life of a spirit, a true spiritual person, prayer must be one of them. Prayer must be one of them. So God, you know, is able to change any future event. God spoke through His prophet Isaiah that the sickness Hezekiah had was terminal. God didn't pronounce it on him. It was just a confirmation of the ultimate end of what was already happening. So God said, "Put your hands in all that." But this man was in right standing with God. So he prayed a heartfelt prayer, prayed, and to the glory of God, God heard his prayer. God will hear your prayer. God will hear your heart cry. Whatever really needs to be changed that you have been desiring from God, God will change that thing in the name of Jesus Christ. And he prayed, and then the God spoke through the same prophet that He told earlier that Hezekiah was going to die, and God then told the prophet, "Say, go back to him." So I tell someone here who has heard some negative news from some quarters over a particular thing, God will turn things around, and you will hear good news. That particular thing will experience a divine turnaround. What was supposed to bring sorrow will bring joy now, in the name of Jesus, in the name of Jesus, in the name of Jesus. And I hear the Spirit of God leading me to tell someone here that what is supposed to be given to you shall be given to you. Your promotion shall no longer be delayed. [Applause] Your opportunity shall no longer be withheld from you. But how did it happen? It took desperate prayer. Can someone say, "Desperate prayer"? One more time. It took desperate prayer. And can you, can you learn from that? That prayer was a one-day prayer. It was a one-day prayer. Hezekiah did not fast. We have taught about 20 major keys to optimum results in prayer. Praying exhaustively over a given period of time is one of the keys. Prayer and fasting is one of the keys. But take note, there is not one particular key. Most of these keys are not absolute in their application. That except you pray and fast, nothing will happen. Except, nothing will happen. It doesn't apply in most instances. In the case of Hezekiah, that was an example of a prevailing prayer, but it was a one-day prayer. As a cat, for instance, in Daniel chapter 2, Daniel prayed with his three Hebrew friends. It was a one-night video. Just one night, not seven, not twenty-one, one night video, and the answer came. Your answer will come. [Applause]
In that same Genesis chapter 40, verse 12 to 22, Genesis chapter 40, verse 12 to 22, it was revealed that the chief baker will be killed in three days' time. When the third day came, just as it was revealed, Pharaoh also sent for him, and Pharaoh pronounced judgment on him, and he was hanged. Now, does that now mean that anything that has been revealed about the future must happen? No. God has the power to change every future event. I can tell you from my little work with God over the years, I can tell you confidently that if the chief baker had waited on God and cried out to God, even if he had no relationship with God, but the God of Joseph, if he had cried out to God to have mercy, mercy is key, especially when it has to do with life and death or something very devastating. Mercy is a key point you must mention in your prayer. That was why Daniel, you know, told his three Hebrew friends in Daniel chapter 2, he said, "Let us pray and ask God for mercy because they were all to be killed. They were going to be killed by the king, by the king, all of them, all the officers in his palace, because they could, nobody could interpret his dream." If this man had prayed for God to show mercy, the God I know, the God I serve, the God we have always prayed to, and we have, you know, countless testimonies of His response to our prayer, that God will have answered. And this second dream would not have happened. So if anybody is telling you, "This is what I saw, and it is going to happen," that person is not deep spiritually. There are people over the years who have come with negative things that were genuinely revealed, and we stood in prayer, prayed together, and pronouncements were made by the grace of God that such things will not happen. And we are talking of 20 years after, 15 years after, 10 years after, nothing happened, and those people are doing well. So don't ever allow any negative revelation cage, cage your life, and don't allow any negative revelation determine where your course in life. You can encounter threats, encounter danger to your life in the perfect will of God for your life. So you are not to run away from that thing. Stand, confront it, and you will overcome. Somebody say, "Amen." Rise on your feet this morning. [Music] So you.
