I have three MCP servers you should start using today. To help us along, we'll be using Amazon QCLI that just recently added MCP server support itself.
MCP has taken the AI world by storm. MCP, otherwise known as model context protocol, is an open standard that helps provide context to LLMs. Think of it as a USBC port for AI applications. So, which one should you use? I got you covered.
This should be the first MCP server you should install. Let's take a look at the Brave Search MCP server. The world is changing so fast and having an MCP server that can easily search the web for answers is a really nice addition. It will come in clutch when you need to find that latest API change that your model has not been trained on.
Next is the AWS MCP documentation server. This MCP server is a real gamecher and makes working and searching using AWS documentation that much easier. It's also nice that we can have QCLI help interpret what the MCP server returns as well.
Tool three. I've left the best for last. The GitHub MCP server is really amazing. You can do so many things with it. Create repos, create issues, create pull requests. You've got it all. And my favorite feature is to have it search my code, analyze it, and give me suggestions. This is just the tip of the iceberg on what it can do.
