There is now talk about MCP versus CL. There is a kind of battle going on now, and we will ask the question: which tool to use? Is MCP redundant? Friends ask me. Is CL the total replacement for MCP? And in many cases, yes. In many cases, precisely because we are putting the tool in the hands of some kind of production, some kind of code, or some kind of open flow, some kind of or c, it is indeed the right solution because they are all command-line virtuosos. They are all capable of using the command line in a very, very, very smart way. But it's not that MCP is redundant. There are also cases where MCP is the only option on the table. It has its cases, but when we have a CLI tool for a specific software, what can we do? We cannot deny it. We get a lot of power in our hands, and of course, it's not our hands, it's the hands of some AI model that will do the work for us today.
To create a CL tool, we have a library that does it in a very correct way, the most correct I've seen to date, called CLI Anything. It's essentially a library created specifically for this purpose: to take some open-source software, some open-source code software, point to it, and then automatically wait on the other side and get a CL tool that exposes the software's actions from the command line. And then, in the hands of some kind of code, or some kind of open clook, this thing gains very, very great significance, and we naturally get that warm feeling in our hearts of productivity that we have been searching for so much.
