Combining Claude Code and Obsidian is a complete cheat code if you want to drastically improve Claude Code's memory system.
Now, Obsidian is awesome for a number of reasons. The first one being it's free. It's also extremely lightweight and it essentially gives us greater insight into our markdown and text files.
And let me explain this relationship between Obsidian, Cloud Code, and you. Obsidian gives you greater insight into these text files. Claude Code automatically creates these text files in a format Obsidian can use, thereby supercharging your entire Obsidian experience. But by virtue of organizing these files, Obsidian then improves Claude Code's performance because it's way easier for Claude Code to find the correct file and actually link them together, thereby increasing its memory, and those performance increases go back down to you.
So, we have this sort of symbiotic relationship where everyone is improving each other and by virtue of Obsidian being free and lightweight, there's no real downside to this.
