Sometimes strange figures are seen walking inside airplanes, appearing on conveyor belts, whom pilots also see, as well as auxiliary flight attendants, stewardesses. Today we will be with a person who worked there for 9 years on airplanes. She collected incredible stories, photographs, and she herself faced the impossible. Paranormal stories that will leave you completely astonished, and that's why you have to watch this video until the end, until the end, until the end. And I am here in Mexico City with a person who worked for 9 years, 9 years in an airline, in several airlines, and, uh, who is also a historian, has written several books. I'm delighted to tell you so many accounts that exist in aviation. Monserrat, you worked for 9 years. What did you do on the airplanes? I was a flight attendant for 9 years, but my family, well, we have a long history of people who work in aviation. My grandfather was an aviation mechanic, my parents worked at Aeroméxico, and they met there, and well, then I was born, and I had no idea I would ever be a flight attendant because, as you mentioned, I studied history, but by chance, [laughter] aviation called me, and here I am. And in this book, which you also have two of here, called "Fantasmas del aire," you compile amazing cases, 50 stories of ghosts, apparitions, paranormal events that have happened in different airports and on different airplanes. Why did you become interested before we start with these incredible stories? I've always been very interested in the paranormal. Ever since I was very little, I was very drawn to all the stories told about small towns, about witches, about Day of the Dead, for example, that has always been one of my favorite dates, more than Christmas. So, all of that always caught my attention. When I started working for the airline, I didn't know there were ghost stories. You go to work normally, right? Until I started talking to my colleagues, and it wasn't right away, but after a while, they started telling me these stories, and I said, "Ah, so there are paranormal things, not just in contexts of cemeteries, hospitals, old houses, right? But also in airports and on airplanes." And it makes sense, with so many people passing through every day, some leave and others stay. And Monserrat, what was the first case you started hearing about? What was the first case you heard about in your work as a flight attendant, as we say in Colombia, or as a flight attendant in other places? Yes, I will tell you how this project was born. In fact, when you are a crew member, you have to arrive an hour early to check that everything is okay, that potable water has been loaded, that ice and napkins have been brought up, the pilots have to check. We even check emergency equipment, life vests, everything has to be in perfect condition for the plane to depart, right? So, that day we arrived, it was the first flight leaving Mazatlán for Mexico City, and we arrived at the jet bridge, and there was the guy who connects the jet bridge to the plane, which is like a worm, you know? Yes, they also call them jet bridges. Ah, exactly. Which is like the walkway through which one walks, which is flexible, which not all airports have, where instead of going down stairs, you walk through it to enter the plane. Yes, the telescopic jet bridge. Exactly. So, the colleague operating the jet bridge was super pale, very white. And then another colleague tells me, "Oh, he just got spooked." And I said, "What do you mean he just got spooked?" And my mind and heart, always eager to gather stories, said, "Okay, colleague, tell me." [laughter] And he started telling me, he said, "No, he says he saw a person standing with their back turned in white on the airplane, right? So, he asks the operations officer, who also has to check that the fuel has been loaded, that all the plane's services have been done. The operations officer goes up to check several things, right? So, he says to the jet bridge guy, "Hey, who did you go up with to do your inspection?" He says, "No one, I went up alone." He says, "No, you went up with a person who was standing there on the plane in white," and he says, "No, I was over here." So, immediately the alerts go off, and they probably say, "Well, who knows who it was, right? But no, in an airport, in an airport context, you have to know who it was, why they were there, all for security reasons." So, they get on the plane, they start checking. In that airport, you didn't have two exits, only the jet bridge connected the exit. So, the person couldn't have left through the back because the door wasn't even open. They check the bathroom, the kitchens, and indeed, there was no one there. And that's when the idea was born to me, I said, "Ah, I'll start collecting all these ghost stories that my colleagues tell me that have happened to them." And I said, I'll make a book. That's when the idea came to me, but I didn't really know where to stop, right? Because I started digging and digging and asking, interviewing, and suddenly there were stories and stories and stories. They tell me, "Yes, colleague, this happened to me, this happened to me," or I'd say, "No, not to me, but to so-and-so colleague, they called out, 'Hey, you, [laughter] Juan, come here.'" And then they'd give me some words, and I'd say, "Oh, colleague, how could that have happened to you?" "No, but it did." [laughter] And you found incredible testimonies. Yes, yes, yes. Many things, especially the things that impressed me the most were, for example, things that happen directly on flights, right? Because as a flight attendant, you know what things are normal and what aren't. So, when they tell you, I can tell you one right now, [laughter] a girl, this was told to me recently, she told me that, for example, I don't know if you've seen that many people who can no longer walk ask for wheelchairs when they get off the plane, and normally these people wait until boarding is finished, and the wheelchairs wait patiently, right? So, when they board, they say, "Miss, I'm going to need a wheelchair." So, there were five wheelchairs. The flight attendant calls the captain, "Captain, we're going to need five wheelchairs upon arrival at the airport." "Of course, with pleasure." So, the captain requests the wheelchairs, and when they arrive, the passengers start disembarking, and she says one wheelchair arrived, took its passenger, two wheelchairs, three wheelchairs, four, and the fifth person who was waiting comes up and says, "Excuse me, colleague, uh, is there still one missing, right? His, right?" And she says the two flight attendants who were at the front, "Wait, colleague," they peek and say they both saw a man in a blue shirt who waved at them. Yes, colleague, there's still one chair missing. Okay, good. Well, then, right? Suddenly, everyone has disembarked, and she says, "Well, and the missing chair, right?" And the colleague comes up like, "And where is the person I'm supposed to take?" And she says, "Oh, maybe he went to the back bathroom." Ah, okay. Let's call the flight attendants in the back to see if he's there, right? So, they call him on the intercom, and they say, "Hey, uh, there's a man in the bathroom." He says, "No, you're kidding, there's no one. All the passengers have already disembarked." She says the two of them were like, "What happened? We both saw him, he waved at us, they remember the man perfectly, right, colleague?" "Well, you know what, maybe not." [laughter] And that's it. So, these are things where you say, "It can't be." Uh-huh. So, where? He couldn't have gotten off like in the movies where they go into the bathroom and get into a compartment and then appear on the tarmac, right? No, not at all. And it's truly incredible. So, this you're telling me is amazing. People see him, they see him, and he disappears. It's as if something was there that wasn't human, or was from another world, or vanished. A phantom passenger. Yes. And likewise, there are many similar stories. Yes, there are a lot. In fact, there are several, like this story has happened many times on several airlines, not just one, because I've had the opportunity to interview several people from different airlines. And a very repetitive story is, for example, I'll tell you another one about some flight attendants who were on a night flight. These flights are called "tecolotes" because in Mexico, "tecolote" means owl, like a barn owl, an owl. So, these night flights are like owls flying at night, that's why they're called "vuelo tecolote" (owl flight). So, the girl says, "Well, we were on an owl flight, we were coming from Tijuana to León, and then the flight was León to Mexico City. On these flights, normally everyone is already asleep, they are very tired, and there are few who are actually awake, who say, 'Excuse me, miss, do you have water, coffee, or I don't know, a cookie, anything?'" And well, she says the two girls, they had already finished serving, had put away their cart and everything, and they were just like we are, right? In the back galley, which is the back kitchen, talking about this and that, about the flight, about tomorrow, what's up? Just chatting, right? [laughter] about flight attendants, right? And then she says a lady comes in and still asks them, "Can I use the bathroom?" "Yes, madam, go ahead." She says one of the girls opens the door for her. She says, "I remember this lady very well. She was, uh, short, had white hair, she was older, around 60-something years old, I don't know." Okay. Yes, madam, go ahead. She closes the door. They hear the lock click, the door closes, and they continue talking, and then, you know, the line starts forming for the bathroom, right? So, it was one person, "Excuse me, it's occupied right now, okay?" Then two, then three, and the girls said, "Well, you can go to the front bathroom so the area doesn't get congested, right?" And these girls say, "No, she's taking too long, so let's knock." Because something could have happened to this lady, she might have fainted, who knows, right? So, they go and knock, "Madam, madam," nothing, "Madam," no, nothing. She says, "You know what? I'm going to have to open it because something might have happened to her." And so, she knocks, "Madam, I'm a flight attendant, I'm the one in charge of the flight, blah blah blah. And I'm going to have to open it, I'm very sorry." From the outside, the bathrooms have a way to open the lock precisely for these situations. So, the girl lifts it, opens the lock, and when she opens the door, she says to the other girl, "There's no one here." And she says, "What do you mean no one?" She says, "I saw the lady." The other girl stands up, opens the door again as if someone might appear. No, no, indeed, there's no one, right? She says, "She couldn't have passed us by because we were talking. We didn't even get up for anything, right?" "Don't worry." "Let's count the passengers again. Let's get up." She says they started checking, checking, checking, and they couldn't find her. So, they turn on the light, they start counting passengers again. One says, "Ah, you know what? Let's ask the captain how many passengers he confirmed." So, they call the captain, "Captain, how many passengers did you confirm?" "No, well, 98, right?" And they are like, "No, so we are missing one, right? [laughter] So, they count again, count, count. Nothing, right? So, one says, "Well, that lady was sitting next to this young man. Let's ask him if he saw her." So, they go to the young man. "Excuse me, young man, uh, was a lady sitting here next to you with hair like this, like this, like this?" "No, miss, I'm traveling alone." "No, yes, the lady..." "Okay." "No, so they call the captain again. "Well, what happened? What happened with your missing passenger?" He says, "No, captain, well, she's not here." And she says the captain was taken aback, like, "Well, it can't be, right?" And she says, "This is impressive," she says, "because not only did I see her, but we both saw her, and there was even a line for the bathroom." She says, "I remember this lady very well," she says, "and it's not possible that she's not here, right?" So, she was also very impressed because she said, "I saw her, I remember her perfectly, and everything. And for her not to be here, it's a mystery." It's really strange, because you tell me, they see her, she interacts because she goes into the bathroom, locks it, and people are waiting for her to come out. Your colleague flight attendants, stewardesses, flight attendants, saw her go in, but the people are also waiting, and the door is locked, and as you say, there's a device you have that allows you to open it for security reasons, but only you can do that, not just anyone, right? Yes, even, as you say, right? The passengers in the back notice everything, that someone passed by and then suddenly they're gone. And when you open the door with that security device, there's no one there, no one inside the bathroom, no one. And like this one, I tell you, in several airlines they told me variations of "No, well, I saw a man go in," or "I saw this," or "I saw that," and most of the time, there's no one there. And what do you think happens? I don't know, it's strange because on a flight, maybe you say, "You're in an open space, okay, they went over here, they went over there, but there's nowhere to go." And there's a record of the passengers, and everything, so, a person can't get lost because you're at 10,000 meters altitude, there's no way to get out. Yes, of course. It's pressurized, so you can't just jump out the window, there's no way, it's impossible. Besides, these planes carry, I don't know, 100 passengers, 180, so it's not like a transatlantic plane that might carry many people or has several sections, several bathrooms, and these don't, they are actually small planes. Why does it say faceless? Well, this apparition is of a flight attendant, and normally you see people normally. There are many stories in my books where, for example, they call out to someone they see from behind or something, and when they turn around, they have no face or their eyes are very sunken. Or, for example, also in Mazatlán, they say they saw a young girl in the facilities when everything was closed, when there were no more flights, and they said, "Oh, there's a girl there, maybe she's the daughter of an employee, right? So, let's go see because she can't be wandering around here." She says that when they got close and called out to the girl, "Hey, uh, girl, I don't know what," and she turned around, and she had no face. So, there are several specters that manifest themselves as if something is missing from them, or people, airline employees, airport employees sometimes see people who have no eyes, no nose, no mouth, or also no feet. For example, I have a story from Terminal 2. A lady told me this. She's a lady who helps with cleaning the restrooms in the immigration area. That day it was her turn, and she says that many flights had arrived, so the shift change for the girls who clean the restrooms was approaching, and she says, "I'll hurry to get everything ready for my colleague, to leave everything perfectly for the shift change." So, she says, "Is a flight coming soon?" "No, we'll be quiet for now." Okay, perfect. The lady, with her buckets, her soap, everything. And then she says she saw, out of the corner of her eye, a girl enter the bathroom, but she continued her hurried work, and she says that when she came out of the bathroom, she found it very strange that she didn't wash her hands. She thought, "Oh, she didn't wash her hands, right?" And then she looked at her, and she says it was a girl, and later, after investigating, there is a very well-known specter, the girl from the Mexico City airport, whom many people have encountered and have told me their accounts, right? And then she mentions her, she says, "This girl is very pale, she has, uh, a face as if she were very angry, meaning, with a very, very annoyed expression, long blonde hair with curls, and her little dress is from another era, meaning, she's not dressed like people today." And then she says she froze when she saw her, and yes, she got a little scared because she said, "Well, this girl, what?" And then she saw her leave, but she says, "It's just that she wasn't walking, she was floating because she had no feet, right?" And then a girl from immigration comes and enters the bathroom, and sees her very agitated, says, "Hey, what happened? What's wrong?" "No, nothing, nothing, nothing, I'm fine." "No, tell me because you look very upset." "Come, sit down." And she says, "Well, it's just that I just saw a girl like this." And she says, "Well, don't worry, we'll check the cameras, and then..." She says that a few days later, this girl received a photo on her phone, and she says, "Is this what you saw?" "Yes." And it was a photo of this young girl. And when I interviewed this cleaning lady, she told me that the immigration girl gave her a St. Benedict medal, which protects from evil spirits and all that. And when I was talking to her, she took it out and showed it to me, and I said, "No, well, yes, right?" And the lady, terrified, reliving it, telling me this situation. And then the lady says, "I wouldn't go back to work in these bathrooms for anything. Send me to any other, but not here. [laughter] And there are many stories of many strange things that happen. And within the stories you have, I mean, there are incredible things like the ones you've narrated. This child who always appears at the Mexico City airport, who has many stories, not just her, but they say she's seen in different places, right? And she sometimes interacts with people and enters somewhere and disappears. Yes, in fact, this girl, there are two or three very famous specters from Mexico City, which is the ghost girl, and even if you search on the internet for "la niña fantasma del aeropuerto de México" (the ghost girl of the Mexico City airport), you'll find a very famous photo. Formerly, the airplane graveyard was inside the airport, these are airplanes that might have litigation, that might have had an incident, an accident, and stopped operating, and for certain reasons, they can't move them. Because they are in a legal process, or they are scrap metal, or they will no longer fly. Formerly, this graveyard was inside the airport; a few years ago, it was moved out to optimize space. This photo is perhaps about 15 years old, and you can see in the frame of the emergency window of an airplane from a now-defunct airline in Mexico called Aero California, the figure of the girl. And well, that's one of the specters, right? The second is the ghost flight attendant, who they also say was a flight attendant, well, that's the urban legend, right? A flight attendant from Air France who was supposedly pregnant by a captain, but the captain, you know, had a family and everything, so he told her, "No, you know what, I'm not going to take responsibility for your baby, blah, blah, blah." And well, the legend says that this girl cut her veins with tuna can lids and died in the bathroom. Well, that's the legend, right? One of the security guards who works at the airport told me that they were sent in groups of two, a man and a woman, to check all the bathrooms in Terminal 1 of the airport, because she says, "Maybe security finds a cell phone, some headphones, things, and they can bring them here to the bathroom and then steal them." So, they were told, "Well, go looking for little holes, loose tiles, places where they can hide things they plan to steal to take home later, right?" And she says they went with a list, bathroom such and such, bathroom such and such, bathroom such and such, position such and such. And she says they had already gone through several bathrooms and they arrived at a set of bathrooms, right? The guy went into the men's, the girl went into the women's, and she says she opened all the doors and started checking. Under the sinks and so on. She says she was inside a bathroom stall, and the door slammed shut, and she was like, "That's really weird." She says, "There's no air, there's nothing, right?" And she said, "Who knows, right? You know how it is, right? Who knows," and then she didn't. So, she went to another one, and she started to feel a strange vibe. Then she reached the sinks. She says she bent down to check the same thing they were looking for, and suddenly she felt her hair being pulled because, in Mexico, they have a hairstyle that we call "cebollita" (little onion), like an onion bun, right? So, the girl says she felt the pull, and it even undone her bun, right? And when she looked, she says, "Well, there was no one there." And she started to feel very bad and very worried, and she said, "That's it, that's my last one, I just want to leave." No, when her colleague comes out, he sees her very agitated, crying, and says, "Well, what happened to you?" She says, "No, well, I was spooked and everything." And this girl said, "I quit." Meaning, no, she couldn't take it anymore, she said, "I can't keep working here anymore." She now works in another area of the airport, but she's no longer a security agent. But there are many things. So, this is the second specter, the ghost flight attendant. And another is a pilot who they've also seen around. They used to have another office called the command center, so they say that they used to see him passing by the bathroom in the command center, and he would disappear there. A pilot. They saw him walking, he entered the bathroom, and disappeared. And disappeared. There are many stories like that. So, they are like entities or ghosts that, unlike other places, remain wandering and always do the same thing, they are always seen doing the same thing, and whenever you go to look for them, they disappear. As if they were repeating the same thing over and over again. Yes. Also, now that you mention repetition, I remembered another story they told me from the airport. A young man who was doing his social service says that in the office where he worked, there at the airport, at the same time every day, they would hear a door open and then close, but this door, he tells me, "This door is super thick and has glass, and you can see through it." He says, "If someone were to open and close it, you would see it through the glass. But, well, no." So, he started investigating and talking to colleagues who had been working there longer, and they say, "No, well, in the 70s, there was a lot of corruption and many things, and this place belonged to a government office, and so there were many strange things here, and this girl, she decided to speak out to expose everything they were doing, and unfortunately, she suffered, well, I don't know if I can say it, well, this girl died, her life was taken." Her life was taken, and the young man says that she does this repetitive action of entering because, he says, she would arrive, leave her flight paperwork, and then go home. So, it was like a soul in torment, as if she were trapped in what she always did. Yes, of course. Like asking for help or something similar, as if she were stuck doing what she always did, as a way of saying, "Look, I'm still here, I haven't left." Yes. Well, there are many, for example, what I have confirmed in several accounts is that when you work in aviation, many people really like their job. For example, I, I really like airplanes and all that, and I loved my job. So, many people who perhaps die from other causes, natural or otherwise, somehow remain as apparitions in their workplace, because similarly, a man at the Aguas Calientes airport, they say, "This man was an old man who worked his whole life here, and his job was to report a burnt-out light bulb, he would report it so it would be fixed, right? A brick, or, little things like that, right? And they called him Don Chilo." So, this young man from Aguas Calientes says, "No, well, sometimes they see Don Chilo still there with his little notebook, so for them, he was a very normal ghost because they knew him, he was, well, their colleague, and I think he doesn't know he's dead, but he's still doing his job." In some interviews we've done, I remember someone who works in a funeral home telling me that airplanes carry coffins and bodies, and sometimes they bring them from very far away. For example, someone goes on a trip, a vacation to Disney World, and dies there, so they have to repatriate them, and they bring them in special coffins, and they sometimes come on the same passenger planes. And he told me that in airports, many of the apparitions, he explained them by saying, well, the body comes, the passengers go, they don't know, those of us who are here watching us, they get on a plane, the pilot, the attendants, the stewardesses, whatever you want to call them, and the passengers go, and beneath their feet is a body in a coffin. So, many explained that they manifested themselves inside the plane in some way, and when the coffins were unloaded, sometimes they became heavier, or for example, they arrived, and when they opened them in the cargo hold, they were very well secured, tied, and the coffin appeared in another part. Have you heard stories like that? Yes, in fact, now that you mention it, I have three, but so I don't forget them, I'll tell them one by one. As you mention, my uncle, for example, he worked as a general laborer, so they would unload the luggage and also the coffins, and they affectionately referred to them as "cold meats," right? So, [laughter] he says that sometimes they didn't want to get off the plane or didn't want to go up, and they are carrying heavy things, and so, how is it possible that suddenly the coffin became super heavy? He says they wanted to lift it, and it would go crooked or move, or something like that. So, they would call a colleague who was the one who spoke with the deceased. "Call, I don't know, Pablito, right?" And the colleague would come. "Hello, how are you? Look, you're going home now, they're waiting for you at the other airport. You're going to rest in peace now, you're going to be great, you're going to be with your family." And my uncle says, as if by magic, we could lift the coffin, we could position it, and he says the same for unloading. "Look, you've arrived, you're here at home, they're going to take you to your family," and the coffin would come down perfectly. And well, that's one of the things. The other is a story that some flight attendants told me. Likewise, they say that on a flight, also at night, they had finished and were talking in the back galley, which is the back kitchen, and suddenly a lady arrives and says, "Excuse me, can you give me a coffee?" "Yes, madam, we'll prepare it for you right away." "To which seat should we take it?" "No, to such and such, with sugar." "Yes, yes, with sugar. Put it in." Okay. And so, she says the young man prepares her coffee and everything, and then he leaves, right? "To seat 11A. Here you go." He says that when they arrive at the seat, they don't see the lady and he says, "Uh, here's your coffee." The gentleman says, "Well, I didn't order any coffee." And he says, "Yes, a lady came to order it, I don't know what." And he says, "Oh, well, yes, she's actually my wife." They described her, but my wife is in the cargo. Unfortunately, she passed away. And so, these are stories that are beautiful, sad, but you say, "How nice that your family member is still looking after you, watching over you from the beyond, right?" And well, that's the second one. And the third is also, as you say, they prepare them well, they put them perfectly in specific places on the plane, or you can put them around loosely, meaning, they have a way of going, the head to one side due to liquids and all that. So, she says they were unloading things, and suddenly the luggage and everything, and when they were going to unload the coffin, unfortunately, two people had died, a father and a son, and she says that one of them was already outside. So, the colleague said, "How is it possible if these boxes are hermetically sealed? I mean, how could it have opened?" And well, they added their own interpretation. It's that they were probably fighting, right? That's why they didn't want to be together. This is incredible. So, two bodies came very well. That's what he said, they told me that for sanitary and security reasons, these coffins are sealed, meaning, they are hermetically sealed, and it's very difficult to open them because of diseases, plus they are fumigated, with a lot of things, but what you're saying is that they say it opened and the body came out. Yes. That's what the colleague said. And well, and I have another one too, [laughter] she says, normally the cargo compartments are two, right? So, in the airplanes, in the belly of the plane, you put some luggage here and some there. Sometimes the compartments are pressurized because you carry pets, you carry dogs and things like that. So, well, one compartment is pressurized, and the other is not. The guy who told me this says he went up to unload the luggage from compartment number one. In aviation, everything is about speed because the plane has a certain departure time, a certain arrival time, you can't take longer than that because there are delays, there are costs for the airline, you can't be paying for things that shouldn't be, right? So, well, he says the colleague arrives, goes up, unloads all his things, his luggage, blah, blah, blah. And he says that at the back of the compartment, he saw someone wave at him, and the guy waved back, and he says, "How strange." He says, "Maybe it's a colleague who stayed from the previous flight." He says, "Well, I went up alone to unload, right?" And he, in his haste, says, "Okay, now let's go to compartment number two to unload, right? Here we go." And he starts unloading the luggage from compartment two. And he says he was surprised because at the back there was a coffin. So, he says, "I think the one who waved at me was the occupant of this wooden box, [laughter] right? Incredible." Yes. And there are also other stories that you have in your books, because there are two. And I want to tell everyone that it's not just one book, but we also have this other one called "Fantasmas del Aire 2." And in these, supernatural events of airplanes, apparitions are told. And I wanted to ask you because also in Mexico and in some parts of Latin America, even since World War II, when they were in combat in Germany and England, it was said that in places where airplanes are, there are always strange little beings, sometimes invisible, who are around, who are like goblins, like Gremlins, as they call them. I have seen that there is that folklore of gremlins, right? That they destroy the little wires of the plane and sabotage things. But no, in all these accounts, plus the ones I'm collecting for the new book, there isn't a single account that they've told me about a gremlin, about gremlins, but yes, about goblins. About goblins, yes. For example, in the city, in the Mayan Peninsula area, for example, in Mérida, in Cancún, in Quintana Roo, in Yucatán, all those areas there, they talk a lot about these apparitions called aluxes. There they don't call them goblins, but aluxes. And they are beings that protect the pyramids, archaeological sites, sacred places, cenotes, the sea. So, well, these aluxes protect these areas, right? When they were building the overpass that connects the area, the hotel zone with the airport, then they say the construction kept falling apart, that it wasn't working, that they had a lot of problems to build that bridge. And then one of the workers, who was of Mayan descent, with tradition and everything, told them, "Wait, wait, this territory is not ours, this territory belongs to the aluxes, and we came and built, and that's wrong." So, he says that the construction company had to call a Mayan priest to officiate, well, a request for forgiveness, and to please let them build their road. And well, there, it's very common to make an offering and build them a pyramid, a small house where the aluxes live. And so, it was done. They put their little house there, and they say, well, then no. Once, we went to Cancún for a beach trip, and I was thinking, I want to see the little house and the aluxes and all that. So, in the taxi, I said, "Sir, please, can we see the aluxes' little house?" "Yes." Okay, alright. He pulled over to the side of the road, and indeed, they had their little house there, and I was stuck on that topic. I was even reading a book about aluxes and everything, and so I was thinking about the aluxes, the aluxes, the aluxes. And then, on one occasion, we rented an electric scooter to get around, right? And I was thinking, the aluxes, the aluxes, and then my scooter somehow went a little crazy. My husband, my son, and I were riding, and mine somehow got crooked and like that, and it wasn't moving well, and suddenly, I don't know how, the scooter skidded, and I went sideways, and I truly landed right next to one of these aluxes' little houses. And I said, well, I wanted to see the aluxes so much that they told me, here we are, here we are. And then I asked the guy at the hotel, and he tells me, "Yes, it's that here, outside the hotels, they also put their little houses so that they can let us do our business in peace. They bring them offerings, in fact, there was a candle, some little fruits, coins, and then I said, well, they don't always let themselves be seen, but they let you know that they are there." And I said, "Oh, how nice that [laughter] I landed right there at the aluxes' little house." And I said, "Well, here they are, here they are present." And the next time I go to Cancún or Playa del Carmen, I'm going to look for the aluxes' little houses, because they say they are everywhere, I've never seen them. And they say that aluxes can also appear in airports. There are stories that they hide things or, let's say, they move things for the staff, they take things, they touch them. There are stories like that, right? There, uh,

For example, in one in the book, they also told me that sometimes there are some on the little hill in Cancun that can be seen, well, the colleagues say that sometimes things move or that they see them pass by or that they hear them when there's no one there, right? And well, not just there, for example, in other airports, for example, in Veracruz, they also told me that things were moved in the office, and well, here in Mexico, there's a lot of folklore in everything, and well, in Veracruz they are called chaneques, in Mérida they are aluches, but in reality, they are like these types of little goblin beings, small ones, that are sometimes good, sometimes they do mischief, and well, one has to leave them offerings and and that's it, to have a peaceful relationship. And at the airports, I also wanted to ask you, did you register that there are also other types of apparitions that arise, let's say, in broad daylight, that appear not only ghost passengers, pilots, and flight attendants, but also other types of people that you said had sunken eyes, that are very strange. I remember that a while ago, [sniffle] the story of a video that many people saw was very famous, in which a passenger was screaming that there was a strange being inside the plane, a kind of demon, a monster, or a creature shaped like an iguana or something like that, a person who was different, and it was recorded, and they said, "This is incredible." Did you encounter stories like that of strange beings that they said, "This is not human and is going to get on that plane, or who is that person, they don't look human." Not as much as that video, no. But it is interesting to be a flight attendant, because, for example, when I entered the initial training course, the instructor told us, she said, "You, just by looking at a passenger, will know if they are going to give you trouble, if they are going to be able to help you, if everything will be fine." And I said, "How? I don't [laughter] believe it, no." And yes, you train yourself to know, meaning, you see them and you say, "Well, this person will surely need something, or a wheelchair, or they have an illness, you realize it immediately, or that child looks very mischievous, or this lady is going to be asking me for a lot of things," and yes, you realize it right away, but nothing like what was seen in the video, no. There are people who are a bit paranoid, or people who are very afraid of flying, or people who, on one occasion, we had a very bad delay because I don't remember what happened at the airport, and we had to be on the plane for about an hour, and a lady wanted to open the door to get out into the middle of the runway. So, you have to be very intelligent as a flight attendant to handle these types of situations. That video, well, it was never known if it was true, if the passenger was reptilian or not, or what, but I never encountered anything similar. And another situation that always happens, and we have spoken with some of them, is that many pilots also see strange things in the sky that we could say are non-human or unidentified flying objects. And many have told me things that they say, "I'll tell you, but I can't say it publicly because I have a clause, and pilots cannot talk about what we see. Even if we see it, we have to write a report, and it has a confidentiality clause, and we cannot talk about it until we retire." At some point, did a pilot tell you, "I saw something very strange in the sky"? I happened to see something. It was a flight from Veracruz to Mexico, and that flight is super short, it lasts 45, 50 minutes. So, that plane that I was on, it was just me, only one flight attendant. And then [laughter] I finished serving, for those who wanted water, juice, etc. So, I went with my cart quickly, quickly, quickly. I reached the end, I came back, and then I went to get the trash bag to collect everything. I said, "I'm going to take a breather from so much running, right?" I stood at the first row, I inhaled, I don't know how, something told me to turn, I turned to the window of the first row, and the plane was like this, right? And then I see a completely round sphere pass by, it wasn't silver or shiny, it was white. A sphere, I don't know, it passed, what could it be? About 200 meters from us, but super fast. I mean, if the plane travels at 850 km, the sphere was also going at the same speed as us, it crossed like that. And I was very surprised because I said, "What is that?" I mean, as a flight attendant, you are in the sky every day, you know what shooting stars, clouds, thunder look like. In fact, thunderstorms look very impressive from the plane because the sky lights up so beautifully. So, that day it was daytime, and I saw it, and I said, "What is that?" I didn't give it any explanation. I had never seen anything like it. It wasn't a bird, it wasn't a balloon, it was a sphere. And well, we crossed paths, but I said, "Oh well, I have to go collect my trash." [laughter] And then I left quickly, I returned, I gave the captain the report, and I didn't have the presence of mind at that moment to ask them if they had seen it or if they had noticed anything strange, but also because it was such a fleeting moment, who knows if they noticed it too. I think so, because it was coming from, well, not directly at us, but yes. And no one else ever told you anything. Yes. Ah, I have heard stories, but as you say, they cannot be told, they cannot be spoken. I tell mine because I lived it firsthand. And why can't the pilots or the crews tell them? Mm, there's a lot of censorship, for example, even when my book came out, I wasn't working for the airline anymore, but one of the stories a colleague told me, I published it on my page, Fantasmas del área, and that publication went viral, and it's about a video where a person, a ghost, appears on a plane. At that moment, I received a lot of messages. A colleague called me and said, "Hey, please, could you delete the video?" She said, "Because this colleague is already facing labor sanctions and they are going to fire him." And I said, "Forgive me, but my intention was never for this guy to lose his job, and at that moment, I deleted the video." But there is a lot of censorship in aviation. And and what is the reason? Why don't companies want these stories to be known? Because it's bad publicity for them. I mean, imagine saying, "There are ghosts on the plane of such and such airline," well, maybe people will say, "No, I don't want to fly." Or well, they are simply things like, as you say, a confidentiality clause that you cannot go around talking about company procedures or maybe these types of things. And I'm going to ask you, Monserrat, there's something that also catches my attention, and it's that in your second book, which I'm going to show again here, called Fantasmas del aire 2. In these books too, especially in the second one, you have photographs. Yes. And there are some that are impressive, anomalous photographs taken on planes and at airports. Can you tell us about them? Yes, of course. I have, for example, one that they told me about recently. They said that the girls were in transit in Las Vegas. Imagine that your plane arrives, and next to it was a plane, a triple 7, they were repairing it. It was from another Asian company, I don't remember exactly which company right now. So, well, they get off in Las Vegas for immigration, customs, and everything, and they say they were invited to see the plane, the flight attendants. So, the mechanic told them, "Hey, don't you want to see the plane, it's really big, and so on?" "Yes, yes, colleague, let's go." And well, they say they got on the plane, and this was when digital cameras didn't exist yet. So, many colleagues had their regular cameras because you would sometimes run into celebrities at the airport, so they'd ask for a photo, and so on. So, these girls get on the plane and everything, they take a photo in the giant plane, which was really cool, and then they say they arrived, they got their passengers back on, and we leave, right? About 10 years later, they start looking at the photos and say, "Oh, look, remember this day we went?" "Yes, look, I have the photos here." And in it, in the background, in the rear galley, the girls' photo is taken, and at the very back, in the flight attendant station, you can see a crew member with eyes that are kind of slanted, looking down. And then they say, "Hey, what's this?" No, and they say, "No, well, that day we went up, only the mechanic was fixing the plane, meaning there was no crew from that company, nothing." And they were very shocked, like, well, this is not from this plane, meaning, maybe it was a deceased crew member who manifested in this photo, and there are many very impressive testimonies like that, but this one was very, well, very cool because it's not like now where you can easily alter a digital image, and well, with this artificial intelligence, it's even easier, right? Much easier. And I'm going to ask you, there are stories that are always repeated, that have the same pattern, but they also say that there are specific planes in which something always happens, as if the plane were, I'm not going to say cursed because it's not a curse, but as if something lived in that plane, as if they say, "I'm on this plane, be careful with the ghost of that plane, be careful with the psycho." I don't know if it's like that. Yes. For example, where I worked, it was said that such and such a plane is like haunted, you know, right? That this plane has bad vibes, it always has, and things happen to it, delays, it gets struck by lightning, it breaks down. Yes, there were planes that had like a heavy load, so that you saw the registration number and said, "Oh no, I know something is going to happen to it, right?" Like, the coffee maker breaks down, or this, or that, and yes, that's true. Many planes are heavy. For example, I just remembered another story where sometimes you say, "Oh, well, maybe sometimes we're carrying a bad vibe, and then if something goes wrong, your whole day starts to go wrong, right?" So, I would arrive like this, "Well, everything will be fine, everything will be okay," and then no, I mean, I'm protected, and yes, it also depends on how you see it. And I was also going to ask you, is there another photograph and other evidence that you told me about before we started recording, and you said that they took a photo and it looked like a face floating in a chair. Oh, yes. This photo, well, the guy who sent it to me is from airline maintenance, and he says that he took a photo of the empty plane, and it was late at night, he took a photo of where the chairs of the plane were, and he says that when he looks at it, he clearly sees a little face as if it were sitting, meaning, you see the seat and the little face from here to here, sitting like that. But it doesn't look like a face like you or me in the video, no. Instead, it looks like a ghostly little face. And when they sent it to me, I said, "How scary." I mean, seeing that like that is impressive because planes, when they are off, when they are alone, you feel something strange. And what does it feel like? Like a void, like sometimes in some equipment, for example, it was scary in this plane that I told you about, where I traveled as the only flight attendant, the company had several pieces of equipment, and in some of them, it was like, you have to go check the emergency equipment at the back, and the captains haven't arrived yet, for example, because they arrive, they turn on the plane, and then you have light. Well, you have no choice, you have to hurry to check your emergency equipment, and you have to go all the way to the back, and with the flashlight, right? Like, "Oh, no, how horrible." You do feel a heavy vibe in some equipment, like anxiety, like fear, and more so if it's dark, if it's off. In the very first flights we had, which were at 5 or 5:30 in the morning, it wasn't dawn yet. So, you have to go up and check all the emergency equipment, and not just superficially, right? You have to check the expiration dates of emergency vests, oxygen tanks, first-aid kits, well, all the emergency equipment. Pilots have also told me about incredible in-flight incidents. For example, a pilot once told me, and he said, "But you can't tell. I can't tell, but I'll tell you. They tell me, for example, that sometimes they are in the cockpit, and the instruments show things they shouldn't. They say, 'This could be an emergency.' And then, boom, they correct themselves again. And then when the technicians go to check, they say, 'It's perfect.' Something happened, or the lights turn on, turn off at some point, they say, 'But could it be an error?' And that's very serious. Then, when it's on the ground, they check, everything was perfect. And sometimes they also say, 'No, look, it was there, and they knocked on the cockpit door. They knocked, and I went to see, and there was a shadow, and they also see shadows, right? Like dark figures. Have you heard any of those stories? Yes. How scary. Right now, as you say, it reminded me of a flight attendant who told me that they had a malfunction. Likewise, she says that the flight attendant call light would turn on. And then she says it would ring and ring, right? So, they called the mechanic, "Hey, colleague, this light has a short circuit because we've been getting indications that someone is calling us, but the seat was empty, right?" "Yes, colleague, don't worry. We'll check it now." She says they disassembled the, well, the ceiling and everything, checked it, and no, no, no, colleague, everything is fine, and on the next flight, again, ding, and then the girl said something like, something was born in me that when I passed with my cart, I said, "I'm going to leave a glass of water." She says she lowered the tray table, put her water there, and says, "Everyone will think I'm weird, but I don't care. Something told me to put a glass of water there." Well, then she says she finished serving with her cart and everything. She returned, started collecting the trash, and well, the glass was intact, obviously, so she removed it, put her tray table back, and from then on, they never rang again. So, she says, well, they told me that the deceased get very thirsty. Yes. And that they ask for water, and many other things. And yes, I mean, there are many stories like the ones you've told us about airports and planes. I just wanted to mention that another title you had here also caught my attention, and it's something that I find interesting, it also talks about objects that are around, and you also talk about seats and components and an escalator, things that happen with objects. What happens with these? For example, the escalator, they were remodeling a part of the airport in Cancun. So, the guy says that there was no traffic in that area at the moment, right? So, he says that suddenly a captain says, "Hey, flight such and such." And the guy was taken aback. He says, "But there are no flights right now, right?" So, he even went to the screen to look for the flight, right? And ah, well, and then no. He says the captain said, "Flight such and such," "Well, I don't know, I'll investigate now, right?" He says the captain kept walking, and he stayed there thinking, right? He says, "No, well, not now, that flight isn't even here, right?" And then he says that suddenly he saw the escalator activate by itself, and the captain left, but it wasn't a ghost captain, meaning, there was no one there. And I also remember a video that there was a while ago, which also corroborates these stories, which we can even see here during the podcast for those who are watching on YouTube, and by the way, I tell you to please subscribe to the channel, which has many amazing stories like this, it was captured in Asia, and in it, you see how they record a large number of characters that appear to be human who, [sniffle] are supposedly descending from a plane, but when they start to move the phone, there's nothing. It's as if shadows were descending from an invisible plane. Many say that in places like airports, like planes, the energies of people are stored, and many say that what exists is like reality glitches. Have you collected similar stories? Because a controller also told me some, I want to tell you this, a controller who has already passed away from Colombia told me that sometimes they also registered ghost planes from the control tower, saying, "Wow, what is this?" So, they would worry, saying, "Is it a missile? Is it a UFO? Is it something that shouldn't be on the screen?" Or that sometimes they were there, and they started to communicate, and he says, "I heard that voice." One time it said, "Avianca number 328," and he said, "But that plane, Avianca number 328, doesn't appear on my radar." And the captain said, "Avianca again, number 328." He said, "Well, I'll let it pass." Two months later, they told me that 10 years ago, a plane had crashed, and it was an Avianca 328, and I wasn't working in this, but I swear I heard it. Did you hear similar stories of these reality glitches? How scary. Yes, in fact, they told me a similar one about a plane that was reported, but also talking about reality glitches, a lady tells me that they were going, this was at the Acapulco airport, they were going to their flight, and they passed the security check and everything, and she says that they like, she was with her husband, and they really like to take photos. So, well, they passed the security check, she says, "My husband had a belt with a clip, and he kept his cell phone there." She says they passed the security check, there was a little coffee shop, they said, "Don't you want a coffee before the flight?" "Yes, let's have a coffee." So, they say they were sitting there. Giggle. Haha. And suddenly, I don't know if you've seen like there are some frames for taking photos. "Oh, hey, let's take a photo." Well, then. She says the husband takes out his cell phone, yes, they took it, "No, I don't like this one." "Okay, another one, and from another angle." She says that in total they took about five photos until the lady said, "I like this one, right?" "Well, let's walk to our gate." She says they start looking for their boarding passes and everything, and suddenly the husband says, "Oh, you must have left my cell phone there at the coffee shop." Because we took photos there, they go back to the coffee shop, right? The cell phone isn't here, right? So, they notify security and tell them, "Hey, my cell phone is lost." "Yes, sir, we'll announce it." "Yes, sir." In fact, since you boarded, you left it forgotten in the airport security tray. "No way, I even took some photos and everything." And she says that when they give him his cell phone back, well, obviously the photos weren't there. And she says, "Well, what happened? Who knows?" It's incredible. And what you also point out in the second volume, we're already reaching the end of the podcast, but but I can't [laughter] stop asking you. Yes, there are incredible things you tell, and for example, you say something that I wanted to ask you about the seats and other components. What is that about? That was in the aviation workshops, for example. For example, there was a upholstery workshop, a tire workshop, a seat and components workshop. So, this workshop was for the seats and components like seat belts and all that. So, there they told me that in that workshop, strange things would happen, noises were heard, they would hear people talking to them, and these are things that sometimes happen in aviation hangars, especially in the early morning when the airport noise is less, there are fewer flights, less movement of people, so that's when these types of events are most likely to be captured. And there's another story you have that you've titled, you have very good titles, I highly recommend the book, it's called "Knocks in the Aisle." That really catches my attention. Oh, yes. Speaking of coffins, they tell me this story. They say that they were on a flight, I think it was coming from Chicago, if I remember correctly, and suddenly they were taxiing towards the runway, and they say they heard it, but in the aisle of the plane. They were very surprised from below, and the flight attendant calls the captain, "Captain, it sounded like someone was knocking." "Oh, no way, right?" And again, right? Well, you know what, let's go back because someone might have stayed inside, because it has happened that stowaways get on. An advisor also told us, she says, "No, on one occasion, one got on who said, 'Well, I'm going here and I'm going to Cancun,' or as if in his mind he thought that was the best idea." And she says that during the flight, he had to open the suitcases and put on the jackets and everything because the temperature up there is different, it's below zero, meaning, degrees below zero. So, the guy was so cold that he started taking out jackets, sweaters, whatever he could find because he thought it was easy to go on the flight. So, well, so, as context, that's what you think, right? Someone got on, there's a stowaway, so we have to go back. So, the captain requests to return to position, they go back, and when they arrive, they unload all the suitcases, and they realize that there was no one there, but there was the body of a young woman who had died, and they were going to deliver her coffin, I think she was coming from Chicago, so I don't remember if she was arriving in Mexico or something like that. There was no one, only the coffin. Yes, there was no living person, only suitcases and the coffin. And that delayed the takeoff. Yes. Incredible story, Monserrat. We're reaching the end. There are many more stories we would like to share with you, but I want to tell all of you, there are 100 stories in the two books. There are two books, and a third one is coming, right? Yes. And in these, there are 100 stories like the ones you told us. We don't have time, but you do. So, you can get the book and read it. Also, Monserrat, besides her experience, is a historian, and what she has done is to historicize, collect, create chronicles with witnesses, with real sources of these stories. I wouldn't want to leave at the end or for us to leave without you telling us what, for you, is the most surprising story you have collected. Ah, it's hard to choose one, but well, I have one that I really like, it's my favorite from book one, and it's called Carlitos. And this happened at the Aguas Calientes airport, and the airport is very far from the city, so there isn't much public transportation. There was a colleague who worked in a cafe called Café Calesa, which I don't think is at that airport anymore, and the baggage handlers always gave him a ride to the city, he would hitchhike with them. "Yes, come, colleague, and so on." So, he says that a girl from car rentals, from those at the airport, told the guy, this guy was very noble, she said, "Hey, please, can you heat up my food?" "Oh, colleague, I'm sorry, but I have to go because I'm going to take advantage of the ride these guys are giving me." "No, don't worry," she says. "I only have my car, please, I'm very hungry. Let me eat quickly, and I'll take you back." "Okay. Okay, okay, colleague." Well, then the girl ate and everything, and he says they both left, and about 2 km from the airport, there's a boulevard with palm trees. So, I don't know why this girl lost control of the vehicle, they crashed into one of these palm trees, and the guy was very badly injured, with brain death, unfortunately, and the family decided to donate his organs. So, this happened about 15 or 20 years ago at the cafe. And then a colleague from where I was at the airline, when I asked him if strange things had happened to them, he gave me this context and told me that one day he left his shift at 3 in the morning, and he says he was driving his truck. He says, "I don't like to go fast, I don't like to speed." And he was driving about 60 km. He says that when he passes by this boulevard, he feels a very strange chill, the one with the palm trees, he feels a very strange chill, right? He says, "Who knows." He kept driving, and he says that in the rearview mirror, he suddenly saw a young man, he says, but he emerged from the ground, meaning, he says, he wasn't asking for a ride because when you're asking for a ride, you're looking out for a car, he says, "No, this guy just came out, sprouted from the ground," and he was like, "What is happening?" Mm. And he says that when he looked closer, he says, "This young man wasn't running or walking, he was floating behind my truck," and then he got really scared and said, "Well, let's go, right?" So, when he tells me all this, he says, "Well, I'm sure this young man was Carlitos, who is waiting for one last ride to the city." Incredible stories.
