This is how I use the law of detachment to make over $und00 million.

You see, when you're just getting started out and you want to be successful, you can get into a place where you feel incredibly desperate to hit that level of success. But it's only once you detach from the actual outcome and you focus on the inputs that will arrive you at that outcome is when things will really start to click. Because otherwise you're always operating from a place of desperation. And the moment that things don't go exactly the way that you planned it, you feel like you're going off track and that you you cling to certain outcomes so desperately that you get caught up in all those tiny little details and those tiny little weeds when it's much more important to focus on directionally being correct, right? and making sure that you're just simply doing the the little things every day to get you to the outcome.

Like that's the thing that most people don't understand. It's like they they really want to be successful and they think about that vision of what it looks like to be successful and then they just want to be there, right? And they just want to get there so much and they act from a place of complete desperation. But instead, what I learned is that you need to just focus on your identity first and the inputs that get you there. So, first of all, thinking, okay, cool. Like, I want to make millions of dollars. What does somebody that makes millions of dollars do, right? What would be, you know, are they going to be waking up at 10:30 every day? Are they going to be not keeping their word to themselves? It's like you've just got to do the small tiny things, the inputs. If you look after those things and you move directionally in the right way, that's the things that gets you to the outcome.

And so it is completely fine and it's actually a necessity to desire things and have a really deep desire for getting to that outcome. So the moment that things do get hard, your desire is greater than the obstacles that are in front of you. But it's really important not to be desperate because the moment that you get desperate, you get caught up in this certain vision in your mind of the way things should be working. And you get attached to deals or certain outcomes and then that ends up holding you back cuz you get so focused on the minutiae, on the tiny little details. Um, and that's not the thing that you want to focus on because it's not the thing that's going to arrive you at the outcome. You need to detach.

And the identity of being someone that's successful is literally the most important lesson about making millions of dollars because you're focused on the identity of who it is that you need to become in order to make that. Because what I found in in my business is whenever I, you know, reach a plateau or there's some problem that I'm trying to get through, you know, I have a a theory around that the lid of any business is the thing of the entrepreneur. And the business stagnates, it's realistically because the entrepreneurs's thinking isn't big enough. They don't know how to bring the right people into the business to help them get to the next level, right? And it's an identity piece.

So first of all, it's really important to think about what are the traits that it is that I need to adopt as an individual that that type of individual would be capable of hitting the outcome that I want. Right? It's the that's the hard work that no one wants to do that stuff. No one wants to look at, okay, what is it that I'm doing right now that I would need to stop doing in order to get to where it is that I want to go? And that's when you start looking at like the individual, the self. what is it that I need to remove? Most people look at what is it they need to add. They need to look at what is the funnel that I need to do. What's the account ad structure? What is it, you know, the the VSSL, the certain closing technique at the end of the calls, right? Or this certain thing that I can put on my checkout that's going to drive all these conversions and they don't want to do the hard work. They don't want to look in the mirror and go, what are the things that I'm doing right now as a founder, as a business owner that I need to stop? What are the sacrifices? And it's very easy to, you know, give up the things that you don't really like doing. What's really difficult to do is that when you're stuck or you're not getting the outcome that you want is to go, what is it that I'm currently doing that's holding me back? What are the habits? What are the traits? What are the behavior? What is the identity that I have that is holding me in this place right now? But that that's the thing that's going to unlock the next level. because often it's not what it is that you need to add, it's what you need to remove.

And so for me, there's always been like if I'm unable to get through to a next level or I know in the beginning when I was just getting started, it wasn't about necessarily doing stuff. It was about not doing stuff. It was about not wasting time. It was about, you know, giving up on a lot of like socializing, a lot of recreational things because those things weren't supporting getting to the outcome. And that just comes down with you sitting down and thinking, what are the traits that somebody would have to adopt that would be achieving the results that it is that I want to achieve? Let me adopt those and then let me let reality catch up to those things. And once you do that, once you let the the universe kind of catch up to reality, that's when everything else changes.

And the the way that you do that, when I say, you know, what does that mean with the universe catching up with reality? Well, first of all, you need to see it. You need to see it in your mind. And you need to have a very very clear picture of what that looks like. And you need to decide. You don't need to think, I want it. You need to make the decision like, I've had enough. Think about any breakthrough that you've ever had in your life, right? whether it's fitness or it's making money or whatever it might be. There's always a moment where you like draw a line in the sand and you're like enough is enough. I'm not going to do this anymore. Like I've had enough. And that's when you actually make the decision. And it's not until you get to that point where you ever get successful because success is difficult, right? Anything that you really want is going to be hard to get. And so unless you make the decision and it's like no, it's locked in. I'm going to be doing it. whatever it takes. I don't care how hard it is. That's the only way that you're going to push through when it gets really really difficult.

And so for me, when I started my business, like I I was in my bedroom broke as a joke, no money, and I had a very very clear clear picture. It's like, yeah, I want to get on the AFR fast starters, right, which is the Australian Financial Review. like I want to be in the fastest growing companies in Australia and I want to be the fastest growing agency and I want to be on the rich list and I want all of these different things to come. And it sounds ridiculous when you're in your bedroom and you've you've got that. But if you don't have the courage to actually speak that into existence and actually say to people that's what I want. I remember going for a coffee with a friend of mine and he's like, "Dude, like you're entering in a market that's so competitive. You don't have any competitive advantage. You've got no money. How are you going to do this?" Right? And my will to win was much greater than all the obstacles that lay in front of me. Was it easy? Of course not. Right? But I made the decision. And that's the major thing. And it it sounds simple. Yeah. Okay. Cool. You made the decision. And then how did you do all the other stuff, bro? Well, right. If you don't make the decision, it doesn't matter about the other stuff, right? Because there's always going to be those hard things that come along the way. And for me, there was many of them, right? Many, many obstacles along the way that I had to overcome to get to where it is that I'm I am today. And there's going to be many more obstacles to get to where it is that I want to go. But it first comes down to a decision. and detaching from all the different ways that it is and all like the ways that I think in my mind that I want to get there because the way that I had in my mind is completely different to the way that it played out. And if I would have got obsessed in that [ __ ] like I see so many people do then I would have never achieved those things right that I wrote down that I wanted to achieve because I was just so obsessed in the order of sequence of events. So I needed to detach from that and just think this is the outcome and this is directionally the place that I need to move.

So that's the biggest piece of advice that I can give to you is do not let that desperation of you wanting to get there get in the way of you actually getting there. Detach from the outcome. Focus on the inputs that need to go in there to get to that outcome and the rest will look after itself. And if you do that, I assure you that you will overestimate what you will can achieve in a year, as they say, and you will underestimate what you can achieve in a decade. I've been running my business for a decade right now. And I would be lying if I said that I didn't think that I would be here, but I did not think that I would be here in the way that I got here.
