All right, everyone. It's time to talk about Kanye's song once again because people are completely misunderstanding it. They're not getting it. He literally points this out actually in his song.
If you listen to the song, uh, ogres are like onions. They have layers, so to speak, as you will see. Uh, there are multiple layers to this particular song. On the surface, all it is is a pmic. It's basically Hy Hitler, you know, it's it's a Nazi song, but that's not really what it's about. He's literally mocking people on layer two. He's making several pertinent points on layer three, and then he's mocking globalism, it seems, on layer four. Um, so this is this song is an onion, so to speak. This is actually the most multiaceted song that he's ever released, but people aren't understanding it. He's literally pointing this out in the actual song itself. People don't understand what I'm saying on Twitter. Yeah, they don't appear to be understanding.
On layer one, you've got, for instance, you've got the song's name and obviously the lyrics and so forth. And uh the symbolism is lost on everyone. uh it's being panned by Apac and all of these other groups um the same ones that have tried to literally destroy his career which he points out that'll be layer two so we'll talk about that separately um on the surface it is literally nothing more than a Nazi pmic he's saying look you know on one level on the surface level I've simply given up I'm tired of appeasing you I've decided that I'm not going to bother doing so anymore. Uh I have enough money that, you know, I can't see my kids or anything like that. He literally says that in the song as well. Can't really do the things that I want to do. So why should I bother appeasing you? It makes absolutely no sense. There's no sense behind it. It means absolutely nothing. That's layer one.
Layer two is that he is throwing in it seems with an authoritarian figure who is white by the way Adolf Hitler in order to sort of say look you know I'm throwing in with you know the people who have my back most of them ironically are white actually um and so there's another layer of the symbolism there that a lot of people just won't that he's got the people behind him that are black in nature and that's that's another layer or sub layer I should say which is that a lot of black people have indeed been falsely accused of crimes and put through the system. I saw this myself down in New Orleans and a lot of it boils down to skin color. So he's like, you know, might as well hile Hitler because the system is so corrupt. What the hell is the point of even backing it? It doesn't make any sense. I agree with him, by the way, on this.
Level number three is mockery. That is that this is effectively trying to troll people especially, and I love this. This is why I love this song because this is personal to me. white nimiest upper class [ __ ] liberals constantly try to speak for the black man in order to gain clout while he's speaking for himself and they don't like it now do they? If he says something that they do not like, all of a sudden he's a pariah. Oh, imagine that. That's never happened before. Well, it has happened before actually, but uh this is probably the main case uh with regards to this. So, he's also trolling the upper middle class white nimiass liberals. Uh so, overall, I'd rate the song a 10 out of 10. We listened to it a hund of times uh over the last couple of days, actually. There's a reason for that, and I'm not usually into that kind of music.
Also, there's another layer. If you look at the costumey uh in the official music video, what does it look like for those of you who are not as well-versed in history? I will explain it. This is Romanesque. That is that this looks like a Roman legion. Actually, his soldiers, which he literally referred to them, uh as as being, um that is basically the garb that they're wearing. The Romans, the uh uh pre-lates in the Roman Empire used to wear animal skins. Uh they took it as sort of a um a badge of honor, so to speak. Hey, I killed a bear. Hey, I killed a wolf. Hey, I killed a lion or something like that. And so they would wear them. He's effectively, and this is very ironic given the timing of the uh former pontiff's death, he's effectively romanizing his soldiers at this moment. And uh nobody else seems to have noticed this actually.
No, I uh support Kanye. I do not believe he should be banned. If you're offended, turn it off. This was the whole idea behind what used to be the left, at least back in the 2000s. Back when I was a liberal, the idea was if you don't like it, you don't have to listen to it. That was the whole meaning behind it. Now it seems to be if I don't like it, nobody else should be able to hear it. Well, you sound an awful lot like Bush Republicans. Actually, when you come to think about it, I don't like this. Um Kanye has the right to speak his mind and the fifth level is quite clear. He is pissed at the way the system has treated him. He's saying it literally in his song. Yeah, you know, despite all the fame and wealth that I have, I'm still not I'm not allowed to see my children. I can't do what I want. Uh you're trying to stop me from speaking what I want to speak. Go the [ __ ] away. Couldn't be more clear than that.
So, there's like five layers on this onion. Uh it's it uh is a significant onion I suppose. You've got five layers of nuance in this song and yet people are only paying attention to the superficial layer and declaring him to be a Nazi. He's literally telling you that he's a [ __ ] Nazi. There's no more analysis on that outer layer to be had. There is no more. There does not exist. He's literally telling you that. he's being, you know, non non-glib about it. Uh, with regards to the other layers though, the nuance is there. It's just that people don't [ __ ] understand what he's [ __ ] saying. And it's really sad actually because it is a very talented song. In fact, before this, I will admit to you, I've never listened to another of Kanye's songs at all. This song has convinced me to listen to some of the others. actually. And for over a decade and a half, he has been fairly consistent with his messaging. It's actually kind of funny when you think about it. Uh, so I've listened to some of his older works actually and found out that I actually like them quite a lot. Uh, I don't understand why people have a problem with this, dude.
Virtually all of us were raised up in an internet environment that was far less controlled than the one that we find now. It wasn't smartphones with ads and [ __ ] like that and algorithmic demotion and and things of that nature. It was the wild west internet. We grew up listening to things far more edgy than this. All of a sudden though, Kanye says Kyle Hitler and it's a big big problem. Yeah. All of a sudden people are really uh upset about it. I don't understand it and I never will. I refuse to. I grew up in the wild west internet as well and so this doesn't offend me in any way. He's messaging uh this is a fairly straightforward message too. He's saying look the establishment has [ __ ] me in the ass. I no longer give a [ __ ] You know you [ __ ] yourself. That's basically the theme of the song. I don't see anything wrong with it at all.
