What's up friends? So Cancer Moon, this is the home sign of the Moon. So it's going to express very purely when it comes to what the Moon means.
Moon and Cancer people are very into their habit patterns and find security in feeling comforted, meaning things that are also familiar. They don't deal with changes well and can curl up into an emotional fetal position when faced with changes. The habitual emotional patterns are harder to recognize and launch out of because they are particularly ingrained. It's the patterns that they find the source of comfort. Familiar feelings and experiences, smells, tastes, conditions bring them a sense of balance. Familiar, everything is what they seek out. So they're deeply rooted in the past, recreating the familiar familiarities of the original home. The upbringing is something they are constantly unconsciously doing, patterning themselves greatly after the caretaking or nurturing parent. And good or bad, you have to look at the aspects to the Moon.
Their habit of returning to familiar places and feelings can contribute to an over attachment to the past and therefore not being attached to the present and longing for past comforts. Miss what feels good now. If you have a Cancer Moon, it's very wise to remind yourself that if you desire something fresh, then you must allow yourself to be a little bit uncomfortable. Why? You allow that something new to develop. So there's nothing wrong with the style of the Moon and Cancer. There's nothing wrong with any planet in any sign. It's actually aspects that show difficulties, there are psychological complexes or hang-ups, but there's nothing wrong with any of the one side, the signs. It's just that we could all use some balance when it comes to those ingrained characteristics.
And so with Cancer Moon, you always hear a lot about their manipulative, or they can be manipulative. And it really is about being subtly emotionally manipulative because they're actually controlling outcomes and controlling how you view them and respond to them. So they aren't rejected or lonely or isolated. It's different from Plutonic motivations of control or Neptunian motivations of control. This is so they don't end up in that place of isolation. So it's an unconsciously controlling style that, it's, they don't overtly control you, but they're gonna use their feelings as a way to get you where they want you. And this is nothing, not something that's recognized by Cancer Moon people. They view it as necessary. So this need for others to stay where they put them, or to draw others to their aid, is a tactic.
Being alone is very, very hard for people with this particular Moon sign. And a lot of people do it. And you have to look at aspects to the Moon because again, that's gonna show you how well or not someone's gonna meet those Moon needs. So the motivation of a Cancer Moon is to connect, to develop deep, trusting, lasting, intimate bonds. And again, aspects to the Moon are going to show how successful or not you're gonna be in getting those Cancer and Moon needs met. Easy aspect, so it's easy. Hard aspect, so it's gonna be a challenge. And you're gonna have to address or change a pattern in order to free your Cancer Moon up enough to have that intimate connecting and trust in those close relationships that people with this particular Moon sign crave. It's a lot of craving of connection and warmth with this particular style.
So steadiness and balance are achieved more as Cancer Moon people recognize some of their more harmful or limiting habitual emotional patterns and then choose to address them. Being a victim of habit is their worst hang-up. They have to learn to examine those habits, then be willing to change those habits. This is uncomfortable because it may introduce something new, a new bit of information or insight. And Moon and Cancer people fear new things and change. You see how that works?
This is also a very emotionally intuitive sign for the Moon to be in. They understand the current of feelings very well. And it can pick up on what others' needs are through their feelings. It's, it's not so much through, it's not enough tune in, it's, it's more about more instinctual. So whether they respond to those needs or not, that they pick up on in others, is going to again depend on how the Moon is aspected. And it isn't really so much loyalty that they offer or that they want to give. It's devotion. They want to give that and they want to receive it. They are looking for devotion. They want to sink into somebody or something and then remain in place, remain in that devoted state. Again, they don't want change. They're looking to sow something up and then keep it in place.
So hard aspects to Uranus to a Cancer Moon are particularly hard to deal with because of how they throw a wrench into that plan to remain the same or avoid change. So you're going to need to really focus on solving that aspect before you can completely settle into that comfort zone or that comfortable routine or that place of lasting devotion to one thing or one condition or, you know, that one thing when you find it.
And Cancer Moon people also tend to keep everything, either physically, materially, and a lot of times when it comes to their nerve system as well. They don't just let things go. Heirlooms, things from the past, these are all things that they like to hang on to. And this is that expression of being attached to what has been and the past. And especially if they can't connect with others, if there's been a loss, they can start to keep objects more then that remind them from the past. And then feeling safe, that's where they're getting that sense of safety. So this isn't the first choice when it comes to their emotional expression. And often this is going to be the result of hard aspects to the Moon. The first choice is to attach to a trusting person. That's really the essential motivation of of the feelings. If they can't do this, then they will attach to what they can trust and know to be there and suddenly reminds them of the past, their stuff.
So the moodiness that's often associated with this particular Moon sign can be managed by recognizing how moved and affected they are by outside influences. Not like Neptunian sensitivity, it's something more natural than that. It doesn't really have an agenda behind it. They're concerned genuinely with the feelings of others. This is a compassionate position. Their own feelings as a result of being concerned with others are going to be affected by that. So their own feelings can often reflect the type of people they surround themselves with. Now, the Moon is a reflective planet. And so that's why Moon and Cancer people can find that if they choose to put themselves in a good place with good people, they can feel that they reflect good stuff, positive stuff. But if we do the opposite, see, we're absorbing the moods of others. And this can be really negative if we're with negative people. So support, comfort, familiarity are the key words to really understanding this style of the Moon. See you soon. [Music]
