Hi, I'm Candace Malcolm and this is the Candace Malcolm Show. Thanks so much for tuning in today, folks. It is great to be with you.
You know, I spent some time over the Christmas holiday reflecting on our country and Canada. And no matter what way you look at it or which way you spin it, it's pretty clear that Canada is experiencing real decline. We are a country in decline. And in many ways, this is what the collapse of a country, of a civilization looks like. We are living it. We are experiencing every day. Whether you're looking at economic data, looking at crime statistics, watching the evening news, or just talking to friends and family around the Christmas dinner table, uh talking about a sense of loss for our culture and our community. Canada just doesn't feel like Canada anymore.
And yes, we had an election last year where a bunch of people in the mainstream media whipped up a narrative that Canada was experiencing existential threat from the United States and from President Trump. And we had the whole elbows up thing which made Canadians sort of temporarily feel good about ourselves. All of a sudden, you could wave a Canadian flag again uh without being cancelled or dismissed as some kind of a renegade or racist, right? It became mainstream to love Canada again, which is great. But it covered the fact that things are not going well in our country. Stories that would have been absolutely unheard of a decade ago or even just a few years ago become commonplace and we hear about them all the time. Folks, this is not normal and an election campaign can't cover that up, right? Mark Carney hasn't made real changes. He hasn't changed the fundamental problems that Trudeau brought in his predecessors. So, yeah, we have a new leader. Yeah, he has a different focus and he ran on a campaign basically disavowing and promising to run away from everything that Prime Minister Justin Trudeau implemented. And yet the same problems persist because he's not addressing them. Right? He's in China this week trying to work out a trade deal with the communist regime.
You know what? I don't care about that. I don't care about a trade deal with Canada. I care about my country, Canada, not being overrun with violent criminals, with thugs, with a revolving door prison system that seems to reward the perpetrators of crime, the actual criminals, and completely ignores and forgets the victims of this crime. I'm going to show you just a few news stories, a handful of stories in the news this week that really underline this case that Canada has embraced maximum chaos, that we have lost control of our country, that law and order is not a priority at all of this government, and that Canada is experiencing a rapid collapse.
So, the first story I want to talk to, I'm going to show a clip from CTV News here talking about an absolutely horrific like nightmare of nightmare scenario. An elderly couple murdered in their home by a group of thugs who actually used to work for the family. One of them being an international student we just learned this week who had been in Canada for less than a month before allegedly perpetrating this heinous crime. So, let's play this clip. It appeared on Monday, January 12th on CTV News.
>> In a double murder case say the motive was greed. Three men are accused of brutally killing an elderly Abbottzford couple in their home. The courtroom was packed with family and friends of the seniors whose lives came to an horrific end. CDB's Michelle Bernardo has the story and a warning. Some of the details are graphic. >> Those who knew Arnold and Joanne D. Young say they were wonderful people. >> They were caring. They were loving. They gave so much to us. >> But in May of 2022, the seniors, both in their late 70s, were found murdered in their own home. Court heard their hands and feet had been tied with rope. Arnold's entire head and face was tightly wrapped in duct tape. The prosecution says evidence will show Joanne D. Young died of bluntforce trauma and her husband from asphixxiation. The fact that this could happen to them, it just is un is unbelievable and it's shocking. And I think everybody should take notice that the world that we live in is there's there's evil. >> The way they were tragically taken is um is a um but their faith in God. We know where they are and we have comfort in that. Three Suriri men, Girkaran Singh, Abjet Singh, and Kushir Tur are each charged with two counts of firstdegree murder. They've pleaded not guilty. Crown says Gurran Singh was in Canada on a student visa, arriving less than a month before the killings. Crown alleges the three acted as a team and violently confined the D Youngs in separate bedrooms and then murdered them. Crown claims they were all motivated by debt, financial pressure, and greed. The prosecution also alleges the accused stole Arnold's credit cards and checks. >> It's like a nightmare and it continues to be a nightmare. >> Crown told court that Abigate Singh's cleaning company had done work on the couple's home twice, including the month before the murders. Meanwhile, the DY's children say they are frustrated with how long it's taken for the case to get to court, but they are hoping there will be justice. The trial is expected to last 8 weeks. I have absolutely no patience for this whatsoever. Those three men need to face the full extent of the law and they need to get out of our country. These kind of people should not be welcomed into our country in the first place. This was a premeditated attack. You heard in that news clip that they had had a cleaning service, that they had used a service, the the elderly couple had used a service and for that crime they were brutally murdered in their home. I also like to point out the CTV story refers to these men as Suriri men. I'm sorry if you just got off a plane from India. In no world should you be described as a sur man. You are not. You are an Indian and that is where you should go back. And Canada needs to really take this seriously. We shouldn't be allowing open border mass migration. People coming into Canada under the ruse of being an international student. We all know that that is total nonsense. Most of these people enroll in fake colleges in diploma mills that don't actually do anything. They come here to work as clearly was the case. And these people are desperate. You heard it right there that they were motivated by debt and financial pressure and desperation. Why would we let these people into our country? Why? This is the stupidest policy imaginable and it is creating chaos in our country. It's unbelievable.
And I just want to point out a few relevant news stories to tie to this disturbing premeditary premeditated violent attack, which is that there are 2.1 million temporary residents in Canada who will have expired or expiring permits this year in 2026. CBC wonders, will any of them leave? Uh, great question. There were 5 million of them last year. In 2025, the National Post points out, 5 million people had their visas expired in 2025. I wonder how many of them had to leave. You know, it's not very complicated policy here to just say, "Hey, anybody who has an expired permit needs to get out of the country. You cannot be here. It is illegal for you to be here. And I'd like you to go. You can leave now. You are not welcome here. We do not want you here. Leave. Get out of our country. If you want to come back, maybe you can, maybe you can't. But at the bare minimum, the 5 million from last year and the 2 million from this year have to go. They have to go. And if Pierre Polyv and the conservatives want to carve out a different policy from the liberals and stand apart from them, how about standing on getting rid of these people, getting them out of our country? One more graph from the national post here, which just shows the increase in the number of people who are in Canada. You can see from 2021 to 2045, just in four years, the number of non-permanent residents, so people on temporary visas, temporary students, temporary form workers, went from 2.5% all the way up to 7%. Get them out, deport them, deport them. Now.
Well, on a related topic, story number two that I want to talk about here in Canada is the rise of extortion gangs and violent crimes, shootings, gun attacks that we see on a regular basis in two of our largest city suburbs. I'm talking about in Suriri, British Columbia, and in and around Bmpton, Ontario, where there are large residents uh population of Indians. And this extortion gang, again, absolutely out of control. This kind of thing would have never happened in Canada in the past. Should never happen. It is a tellt tell sign that our country is spiraling out of control. That we have lost control of law and order. There is no law and order when you have extortion gangs shooting up businesses, threatening extortion and kidnapping to Canadians. And this is all happening. Where are the police? Why aren't these people being arrested? Why aren't the foreigners being deported? Again, let's play a CTV news story focusing in on this Suri extortion ring.
Bullets fired into businesses, homes, and cars to intimidate victims into paying up. It's happening every few days to start 2026 in Metro Vancouver. The latest shooting this morning in Suriri. >> We understand the impact this has not only on people who are victimized, but the community at large. It's obviously concerning. >> The victims, primarily South Asian business owners, receive a call or text demanding cash or their family will be harmed. The criminals reference personal information and routines like what time the victim's children get home from school >> or else if you will not pay will uh kill your uh family. >> It's also happening a lot in Ontario's Peele region, the site of an anti-extortion summit involving government and police last week. In some cases, officials say the suspects are taking direction from gangs in India. That's where BC Premier David Eie is this week on a trade mission that was criticized. >> Siri right now is going through a huge amount of extortion threats um from India unless you start to address the issue and help us um then what's the point of doing any trading? >> 100% agree there.
The premier of British Columbia, what an absolute fool. He's in India trying to get trade deals. Meanwhile, the Indian government has been found to be collaborating with criminal gangs in Canada. Why isn't that the subject of the summit in India? This was a story released earlier this week from Global News. RCMP report alleges Indian government ties to Bishnoi gang in Canada. A classified RCMP report obtained by Global News on January 12th labels the Lawrence Bishnoi gang a violent group involved in drugs, extortion, and murders while claiming it operates on behalf of India, the Indian government. It links to the gang killings in 2023 of seek activists in Suriri and in Winnipeg amid broader accusations of Indian agents targeting proalistine figures. So you have Indian on Indian crime here in Canada. The RCMP knows about it. There's a report a classified report but what are they doing about it while our politicians are off in India whining and dining with the elite over there completely ignoring it. Of course, it's not just happening in Siri, British Columbia. In and around Bmpton, including Kaled in a beautiful rural area, a part just outside of Toronto. Beautiful, beautiful rolling hills up there. And yet, you know, these gun driveby shootings have become the norm in quiet, sleepy suburban Ontario. This is a clip from Global News describing the problem out there.
>> An attack because Dharm refused to pay. One bullet piercing a trailer then penetrating the house. >> He said, "You have to donate us $2 million. That's your duty to give us $2 million." I said, "$2 million? I thought somebody yoking." >> Darjit says the calls and voice messages telling him to give millions of dollars started about 2 months before the shooting. >> Message same thing. If you if I don't pay them, so they can they can shoot me. >> Another came afterwards. The caller says next time the bullets will be fired inside Dharmit's home at his forehead. And the caller says he's from the Lawrence Bishnoy gang. Lawrence Bishnoy has been in prison in India since 2015, but is allegedly still running an international criminal gang. >> I don't have any issue with Lawrence Mishni. I don't have no issue with Indian government. I don't have no issue with anyone here. >> Thet says he doesn't know why he was targeted. He's a general contractor and he says the messages are all from the same person. >> I can recognize the voice. They send me voice message too. >> They sent him a message saying they knew he moved to his brother's house then attacked again. >> It was a big noise. It's like glass breaking or it was a really weird noise. I never heard that kind of noise. >> Unbelievable.
And it doesn't end there. Here's a CP news story and broadcast talking about a driveby shooting in the snow in Bmpton that just happened a few days ago.
>> The gunman firing at least eight shots at a Bmpton home last weekend. It was recorded by someone working with the gunman who was sitting in the car. A neighbor's camera also picked up the shooting. You can see it in the top left of your screen. Bullets smashed through the cars parked on the driveway and the garage door. The homeowner, his wife, and small child were inside. They were not hurt. The next day, this video showing the gunman firing the shots was sent to the homeowner and a text message with a demand for half a million dollars.
These kind of stories have become all too frequent. Just in the last week, we had three different news reports from three different places in Canada featuring these stories of extortion, driveby shootings. Where do these thugs get these guns from? Why? Why is the Canadian government targeting legal, lawful gun owners rather than these thugs who probably have illegal guns and they're just shooting them off recklessly in nice suburban areas? Folks, this is the kind of thing you would expect to hear about in Mexico where drug cartels rule the land. Maybe in Venezuela, a total failed state, a collapsing civilization. No, no, no. This is happening in quiet, sleepy subdivisions that have large Indian populations. Again, very much Indian on Indian crime. It is totally insane. I'm sorry. The Canada I grew up in did not have home invasions. It did not have frequent carjackings. It did not have thugs shooting up your home in the middle of the night if you failed to pay extortion fees. These are not This is not Canada. These are not the kinds of things that are supposed to be happening in our country. And yet, again, our leaders are sort of off the hook. They're off gallivanting and trying to set up trade deals and trying to distract you by telling you that the biggest issue in the country is what President Trump is doing rather than what they are allowing to happen in our own backyard.
And it isn't just about immigration, folks. It isn't just about the reckless mass immigration. Although that is a big problem, but sometimes it's just about the pure incompetency of our legal system. The third story I want to share with you is just so heinous and so disturbing. I cannot believe it is real. This is about a Lethbridge pedophile who has kidnapped, allegedly drugged and kidnapped girls, young teenage girls, keeping them in his confined situation. And the guy was let out on bail. The guy was let out on bail. Here is a news report describing this unbelievable situation unfolding in Lethbridge, Alberta.
On December 19th of 2025, police responded to reports of a 14-year-old girl being unlawfully confined inside an apartment along the 500 block of 8th Street South. When police went beyond the front door, they discovered she wasn't the only teenager being held captive. >> And following the execution of a search warrant, two additional girls aged 15 and 16 were found inside the residence. >> According to police, the 14-year-old girl was drugged and repeatedly sexually assaulted by multiple men over three terrifying days. any victims of these type of things. Okay, is relative, right? These are incredibly traumatic incidents that have long-term effects. And so, we want to ensure that's um anyone, not just in this particular case, but any of the uh victims that we're dealing with, receive all available supports. >> Officers say the other two girls were confined in the residence for several hours. >> Anytime these type of instant happen, it's concerning and and public safety has remained our number one priority. And so, um, making sure that these, uh, incidents are investigated thoroughly and that we involve all the appropriate resources, uh, are paramount. >> The man arrested, 50-year-old Sky Aatoa, has also been charged with a previous sexual assault dating back to October. Officers say that investigation was still ongoing when Atoa was arrested last month. >> While the accused was in custody, um, we've been in a position to lay additional charges in relation to that investigation. Police say given their investigation and the evidence obtained, there could be more survivors who have yet to report what happened. >> I encourage and ask anyone who may be a victim or may have additional information to come forward.
I'm sorry, folks, but the most unbelievable I mean, the the entire story is unbelievable. I have no idea if Skye is a Canadian or if he's from another place. It's not stated in the in the piece. It's not clear to me whether he's Canadian or not. But the idea that this man was arrested, held since mid December, and then released on bail, he was released on bail. Imagine allowing a person like that back out into the community. It is disgusting. Uh James Lindseay, who runs a prominent account on social media, posted this. He said this, ladies and gentlemen, is what's called the tip of the iceberg, alluding to the idea that these sorts of human trafficking, sexual assault rings where victims are held against their will and the person, the perpetrator is just sort of like treated with kid gloves and let off and oh, okay, go out again, but don't do it again, sir. Uh, tip of the iceberg that it could be much more widespread.
I want to read a post from Paul Brandt. Paul Brandt is a recording artist, uh, very famous country music singer. is inducted into the Canadian Country Music Hall of Fame, most awarded male Canadian country artist in our history. And this is what he wrote to uh in response to James Lindsay's post. He said, "Appreciate Conceptual James," which is his Twitter handle, shining a light here. He's right. What happened in Left Brbridge is the tip of the iceberg. I'm going to vent a bit. Please, if you care about kids or concerned about Canada and the horrific direction it is headed, please repost this and demand better from our federal government. I've been sleepless and searching for the right words to describe the anger and frustration I feel knowing that this injustice has happened in my home province and is happening across this country. I'm truly grieved. He writes, "My daughter is 15. These girls assaulted by a Toa are somebody's daughter, too. And a judge released him. Releasing a person who forcibly confines, sexually assaults, traffics, and drugs drugs children is completely indefensible. is nowhere near the standards and values which built this country. Honestly, I have a difficult time recognizing Canada anymore. I think we all agree with that. I think that's something that almost every Canadian that I talk to echoes this. This is not does not feel like our country anymore. What has happened?
Continue reading from Paul Brandt. He says, "We used to be known for standing up for those who couldn't. Now we release child traffickers, child rapists, child sexual abuse material producers and users back into the community. It's madness, complete and total moral and societal decay. 50-year-old Aea was forcibly confining and offending against three children. The 14-year-old was found inside in medical distress, transported to the hospital, reported being forcibly confined for three days, during which she was repeatedly sexually assaulted by Aeo and other men. Other men involved in this while being forced to consume drugs. Taylor was released on bail after being charged with human trafficking, human trafficking with a person under 18, sexual assault of a child under 16, sexual interference, obtaining sexual services of a child for consideration, indecent exposure to a child under 16, sexual exploit or counsel of a child, and three counts of unlawful confinement. He has such little regard for authority and the law that ao was rearrested for breaking his conditions approximately half an hour after his release. Apparently, he was released. He went right to the local drugstore, went to the perfume aisle, and what did he do? Started talking up some young teenager again, doing his thing. Fortunately, the police were watching him and they arrested him again. But this is totally insane, folks. These are the kinds of people that need to be locked away and throw away the key.
Mark Carney has to get serious about cleaning up our country if he wants to have any chance of turning our country around. Our country is not in good shape, folks. We need to talk about it. We need to address it. We need to be forceful. We need to be passionate. We need to stand up for our Canada or we risk losing it forever. Canada needs serious change or we will have an outright collapse. Make no mistake, these are the crimes of a third world failed state. Let's not let Canada devolve any closer to that point.
