Hey guys, welcome back to the channel. In this video, let's do the comparison between the KZ EDX Pro and then KZ EDC Pro IEMs.
Now, firstly, this is the box of this KZ EDX Pro and EDC Pro. And both the boxes come in a compact size. And out from the box, you can get IEM shells, cables, and ear tips, warranty card from the KZ. And also, both these products have different variants. So, firstly, on the KZ EDC Pro, that is a mic and non-mic version. For cables, that's oxygen-free copper cable and a silver-plated cable also. And I'm using the silver-plated cable with the mic version. And then moving on to the KZ EDX Pro, so it also comes with a mic and non-mic version, but by default, it comes with the oxygen-free copper cable only. And it has different color variants like crystal, black, and cyan. And I'm using the cyan color variant.
And firstly, in terms of design and build quality, so both these cables come with a very good build quality. And on one end, that is a 3.5 mm jack, and it's a gold-pin connector. And on the another end, in both, there is a ear hook support. So the fitting will be much more better because of that. And it comes with a two-pin connector. And moving on to the shell, the KZ EDX Pro comes with a semi-transparent, and the KZ EDC Pro comes with a fully transparent. You can able to see the drivers inside this IEM shell. So it's really looking good. And the shell is made of a resin material, it's the purest form of plastic. And it's also skin-friendly. And since it's a plastic, it comes with a very light weight. And in the faceplate, as you've seen in the KZ EDC Pro, there is a metal inbuilt. And it also looks like laminated. And also in the KZ EDX Pro, it's also around that KZ logo, so that area comes with a metal built-in. So overall, the KZ EDX Pro and EDC Pro comes with a very good build and design.
And moving on, it's a wearing and a function control. Both these IEM shells come with a very light weight. So for fit, it's really good. And also, there is an ear hook support. So it's a very well-fitted, there is a snug fit for both. It's not very loose or very tight. Both fit well for my ears. And then on the function controls, both these IEMs have the control box with a single multi-function button. Using this, when single pressed, you can play, pause. And on double press, you can switch to the next song. And during calls, on single press, you can attend a call. And again, single press, you can disconnect the call. And if you want to reject the incoming call, you need to press and hold. And this both IEMs, you can't able to do the volume control and the previous back switching control functions.
Well, guys, next moving on to the music experience. So firstly, both these IEMs come with a very good music quality, but both have different sound signatures. So both are best in their categories. So firstly, on the KZ EDX Pro, so it's supported with a closer sound stage, which means you can able to experience a focused listening experience. And in terms of sound reproduction, so it has a very good wide frequency response. So you can able to feel all the nuances of sounds in whatever audio content you are hearing. And the reproduced sounds are also really good. You can able to feel the crispy vocals, and it's almost natural. And you can able to experience the clear instruments. And it's a closer type of sound stage. So if you hear any solo instruments in the mids portion, like that means, so then it will be very clear to you. The instruments are very clear. So then moving on to its bass experience, it's a flat type of bass. And you can able to feel all the frequency, all the lower frequency sounds. It has a detailed sound experience, but it's a flat type of bass, not that emotion, like that. You will not feel like a depth is created like that. It's a flat type and it's very closer to the vocals, not very distanced from the vocals. So that's one point. And in terms of vocals, so the vocals has a very raw and crispy vocals, and it's very closer to you. And it's actually in front of you. So if you're listening to your favorite singer's song, means, so your favorite singer is actually singing in front of you. The vocals is very good on this KZ EDX Pro. And also in terms of treble, it has some smooth treble. So you'll not feel that a sharp or very sharp vocals like that. It has a smooth sound around that higher frequencies. So overall, this is the pursued sound experience on this KZ EDX Pro. And I'll tell you the sound signature of this KZ EDX Pro after that in this video.
Now, next moving on to the KZ EDC Pro. So in this, the sound stage is wider compared to the KZ EDX Pro. So because of this wider sound stage, you can able to feel that spatial audio-like experience. So like you can able to feel there is a room is created for the vocals, and the bass has some depth. And then the L and R, it actually expanded, it's the width is expanded like that. So you can able to feel that spatial audio-like experience because of this wide sound stage. And moving on to sound reproduction, it also comes with a very good natural sound reproduction. And it has clear instruments, and the vocals is also clear. But not you will not feel that closer type of sound stage as like in the KZ EDX Pro. So the vocals is actually coming from the top or it's coming from a distance, not directly in front of you. So because of that wide sound stage, the vocals is actually moved to the top, it actually coming from the top. And as well as in for the bass, the bass is also actually created some depth. There is some good distance between the vocals and the bass. And there is also the L and R has some wideness, some expanded. And at the same time, the frequency response is very much wider. You can able to, it has a detailed sound reproduction. So whatever song or whatever audio content you are hearing, so all the frequency of sounds you can able to hear, whether it's any instrument sounds, you can able to hear on this KZ EDC Pro also, as like in the EDX Pro. But the thing is that the vocals is actually coming from the top, not in front of you. So the vocals is much more crispier and more louder in this KZ EDX Pro when compared to this KZ EDC Pro. That is the one point. But this KZ EDC Pro is a wide sound stage. So you'll get a good bass experience. And for movie contents, the KZ EDX Pro is really good. So overall, in the KZ EDC Pro, you'll get some enjoyable music experience. And in this KZ EDX Pro, very good for vocal-centric songs, jazz type of songs. And this KZ EDC Pro is very good for orchestral type of songs, and EDM, and rock, and pop. So for that type of songs, this KZ EDC Pro is really good. And both these IEMs is actually comes under 800 price category. So both as a very good user value, very good music experience for this price segment when compared to other traditional earphones.
And finally, moving on to the sound signature, the KZ EDX Pro has a wide frequency response. It has all the frequency response, you'll get a detailed sound experience. And it comes with a some forward type of music experience and intimate sound stage type of music listening experience. And moving on to this KZ EDC Pro, it's also have that detailed frequency response and all the sounds you can clearly able to hear. And it comes with a wide sound stage with a warm type of sound signature. It has some good bass, and also at the same time, the vocals is also good. It has clear vocals as well, but it's coming from a distance, not very closer to you. So overall, this is the difference on the posed listening experience on this KZ EDX Pro and the KZ EDC Pro.
And next moving on to its calling experience. So I tested the calls in the indoor under fan noise. Overall, after testing and hearing the call recorded sample, I find that the KZ EDX Pro call quality much more better than KZ EDC Pro. In the KZ EDC Pro, my voice clarity and volume level is actually medium only. But in KZ EDX Pro, my volume level is higher than KZ EDC Pro. And also the clarity is much better. And in terms of background noise also, in KZ EDX Pro, background noise is much more reduced compared to KZ EDC Pro. So overall, the KZ EDX Pro is good in call quality compared to KZ EDC Pro.
And also, these IEMs have the both mic and non-mic question. And I am using the mic question. And if you use this IEM in the PC like that means, then these IEMs not detect the microphones. But in case if you use any external DAC like the KZ AM01 type of DAC like that means, then the microphones will be detectable in your Windows PC. So I checked on the Windows PC.
