Plastic has more energy in it than the fuel that we have in this world. If we can turn this into a valuable item that we know is so valuable cuz we go to war and kill each other over it. Now you're thinking like, let me change the world.

Nobody had made a solar microwave pyrolysis reactor anywhere. I built this. I know it works, but why is this not adopted in the world? And then my phone is completely hacked. And they had complete access to my phone. I'm trying to figure out like is this a physical threat? Is my life at risk? Is my family's life at risk? And then I I felt these really deep vibrations through my whole body. It was a helicopter flying over and the spotlight was literally shining directly into the windshield of my van. I was getting ready to just drive off that night cuz I'm like, "What is going on?" This was a funded organization funded by some nation's government to do this. That was a team and that was an expensive attack. It did look like a kidnapping situation. I'll keep it real.

The plastic issue here is pandemic. So, we thank you. That's why I said we got to make sure you say that all times.

My diesel makes more power than diesel from the pump. Makes less smoke. It burns cleaner. Coca-Cola did not patent the Coca-Cola formula. Why? Cuz if they patented the formula, everybody would know it. The key is being first to market.

You writing a book telling people how to do what you did, but you're not going to put everything in it. You got the trade secrets.

When I write that book, I want to tell people how to build a machine, and that means everything.

This is the the futuristic version for sure. We we're in 2030. Um, very fitting.

For sure. So, we got a very, very, very, very special guest, the good brother Julian Alexander Brown. We actually met at Investfest last year. It was a surprise. I didn't know he was going to be there. We were signing books and in the marketplace and turned around. That's one of the beauty of Investfest. You never know who's going to be there. Turned around and he was there and we just chopped it up and then I believe he came to the VIP night after that. Um, it was around for the weekend. So, if you if you're not familiar with Julian, he's the gentleman. He's been going viral on social media for turning um plastic to pretty much gasoline that can be used for cars to to for cars to run on which you know we we talk about especially now it's timely with everything that's been going on the Middle East, Iran, the price of oil, the price of gas and it's been it's always been an issue but it's it's it's becoming even more of an issue. people not being able to, you know, travel because the price of gas is so high and so much discomfort that comes from that and from an environmental standpoint as well. Environmental impact that so many um gas emissions have on on the environment. Obviously, that's been talked about for a long period of time. So, we talk about STEM a lot in our community, science, technology, engineer, mathematics, and this really um encompasses all of that. So, you know, talking to a entrepreneur, but an inventor, somebody that's a a a pioneer in the space, somebody that's a scientific genius. So, we got a lot to talk about. So, first and foremost, thank you for joining us, brother. Appreciate it.

Yeah. The first time we met, I said I turned around, you were there. I said, "Look, we got to before we even said hello, I said we got to protect you at all cost." And I I feel even stronger because of the mission that you're on. Your brilliance and your innovation is something that's revolutionary. So, I'm happy you're here. I'm happy that you're here safe and we gonna make sure that you stay that way.

So, where does it start? Can you walk us through the journey? I I caught up with you on social media. I'm sure everybody else did a couple years ago. I think you have you like over a million followers, right?

When I was in Investfest last year, I think I was at uh about 2 million.

Right now, what are you

uh collectively? I'm at seven

7 million followers. So, but where does it start? like how do you actually get into science? How do you get into having this idea? Like what's the what's the journey from growing up to getting here?

So, I was born in uh Chattanooga, Tennessee, and then I moved down to Georgia when I was about 5 years old. Uh and I've been in Georgia ever since in the suburbs suburbs just outside of Atlanta. Uh now, my entire life I always been a kinesthetic person. you know, I'd be building with Lego blocks, using my mind to take things apart. Uh, and I always kind of had a calling that I was going to do something deeper for the world. Like when I was four years old, I told my mom that I'm going to I'm going to build something that's going to change the world. And you know what? I just told her that. She never forgot those words. But uh for most of my life up until uh 10th grade, I didn't really have anything particular uh that I was doing outside of typical hobbies like I was in karate and stuff. Anyway, 10th grade environmental science class, they played us a clip of the ocean and the plastic problem and they talked about how they don't recycle plastic, the oceans are horrible, all all this and all that. And in my head, I was thinking, well, u I'm not contributing to the ocean plastic because since fifth grade, I have been encouraging my parents to pay for recycling. So, I'm like, okay, that's only people that aren't recycling. They're contributing to that. And then at the end of this documentary, they said, "Oh, by the way, less than 1% of plastic actually gets recycled. So even if you throw it in the recycle bin, it still ended up in the ocean anyway."

Oh. Oh. So explain that. I'm recycled. I I recycle all the time, too. You said less than 1% of the plastic that gets recycled ends up

So if you throw a 100 water bottles in a recycle bin, you're lucky if one gets recycled.

Where Where does the 99 go?

Uh landfill or ocean.

Why? because uh the very issue is in how we do recycling currently. So current plastic recycling is called mechanical recycling. We're taking like one water bottle and turning it into another water bottle. The issue is you can't it can't be contaminated. It can't be mixed with too many other type of plastics and it only works on certain types of plastics because of course nobody wants to uh to to to uh consume a piece of plastic that is like dirty, right? it's not, you know, it needs to be like new, almost virgin again. And so the issue in that lies in the fact that um let's take for example um a typical water bottle. It has three different types of plastic on it. You have the water bottle body itself that's polyethylate. The wrap is polyethylene that gives the label and then the cap is polyropylene. That's three different types of plastic. And when you're trying to mechanically recycle plastic, you can't just throw that whole water bottle into a machine. that somebody has to individually go in and separate each one of those individual plastics out and put those into their own respective areas. And then of course the bottle also has glue on it that you know wraps the label on. Now that glue is an issue cuz that's contaminated when they're trying to make a fresh new piece of plastic. So you could see it becomes a logistical nightmare really quick. And we're not even talking about things like chip bags which have plastic on the outside, aluminum liner on the inside, and then grease from whatever you know food was in there. uh or like uh condiment containers, you know, like they never truly get cleaned out. And so the truth is they don't really recycle. And when they do actually recycle, here's what happens. You can only recycle like a a water bottle or a Coke bottle so many times. It's about six or seven times. And then the plastic becomes so brittle and weak. The only thing you can do with it at that point is like make a rug out of it. A cheap plastic rug. And that cheap plastic rug, well, eventually that's going to get thrown away. What happens to that? It can't be recycled anymore. It it reaches the end of life. So, the very issue is in how the system has been set up. It's not a circular system. It's not true recycling. It's almost more of a band-aid. The issue is this. They don't recycle most of plastic. So many people have stories of they're like, uh, I see the recycle truck go to the same place the landfill truck goes to, right? So many people have these stories. The oceans look the way they do. But here's the issue. Recycling is a billiond dollar industry. plastic recycling. Okay, why are they making billions of dollars if they're not actually recycling? Because they've been telling people for years, you know, pay this $30 a month, throw your plastic in the recycling bin, we'll recycle it, but they haven't been recycling it. They've been sending all this plastic to China. And China, I believe it was 2015. Well, first of all, they weren't really recycling it themselves because they don't even have environmental standards like that. But then in 2015, I believe, China said, "No, we're done taking your plastic." But now the recycling companies still had to keep up the lie and they were really just throwing it away or sending it to other nation developing nations that would end up just either burning this plastic or throwing it in rivers which ends up in the ocean.

It's interesting cuz I saw a few clips over the past couple of years that they were sending it to China and they were figuring out a way to use that plastic to turn it into energy. I want to just backtrack before we go that far. This you're in environmental science. you watch this documentary, what then sparks you to say, "All right, I'm going to make the change. I'm going to figure something out because most people in we all sat in in environmental science, we just can't wait till we get to fizz, you know, like that's next period."

You're thinking like, "Let me change the world." Like what what was the piece and how receptive are your peers to this idea at the time?

So, in that class, that's where the idea sparked. That's where in my mind I started to be like that is wrong. Like that's not right. I I didn't feel comfortable anymore ever since that. But actually, nothing actually came from that that moment in 10th grade. Nothing happened until two years after that, my senior year. At this point, I was in a welding program in high school. So, I had learned how to weld, put together machines, and then I had an accident happen where one of my peers actually ended up stabbing me uh with a knife on my my right thumb and ended up severing my tendon. So, I couldn't use my my thumb for months. And then um like I said, I always been kesthetic. You know, I was gardening, welding, making jewelry, blah blah blah. So that was always an outlet for me. But after not having mobility in my hand, I almost fell into a depression. Uh but I didn't let myself get into that depressive state because uh instead, I kind of was like, okay, I can't build things for once in my life, but I can work on things in my mind. And then that in that space, it allowed me to kind of go back to that time of thinking about like what I was passionate about and like what I wanted to do in this world. And they went it took me back to that environmental science class because I remember when I saw that documentary and at the end of it when they told us don't recycle I actually kind of felt doomed because that was the end of the documentary. It wasn't you know okay we don't recycle but here's what we are doing here's a solution. No that was it and I'm like and I remember there were a few other students in the class at the moment that were like that's really messed up. So anyway, being in that place, I went back to that place cuz like I said, it never left me. And I'm like, okay, how what can I do about this plastic problem? Cuz clearly there's not anything being done properly. And so I truly was just coming from a place of like almost looking at it like if I don't do something, I don't think anything will be done because like I said, two years had already passed at that point and it was still the same issue. In fact, it got worse cuz when when they showed us the documentary, it was like 3% or less of plastic that gets recycled. By the time I was doing research 2 years later, it dropped down to 1%. Now, I mean, I it's even below that. So, anyway, it literally was as simple as me just looking up on Google, cuz this is before AI. I just looked up like, why are they not recycling plastic? All right, but let's play devil's advocate. Everything I just told you guys about the mechanical recycling, the contamination. So I was like, "Okay, well that's not that's not how it's going to work. That's just not the solution clearly." So then I looked up, how can we recycle plastic in other ways? And then there were there was two ways that popped up. It said incineration, like burning it. I'm like, well, that's not that's not a good solution. I mean, we already see that happening. Air pollution is horrible. And then it said pyrolysis. I said, what is that pyrolysis? Cuz mind you, I I almost failed chemistry class. They put me in honors chemistry in ninth grade. I wasn't with it. So I'm like what is pyrolysis? And so I looked up pyrolysis and it said it said well in Greek it broke it down. Pyro and lis it means pyro means heat. Lis means to break apart to break apart with heat. And I'm like isn't that just burning something? But it said no burning something in the absence of oxygen or breaking something apart in the absence of oxygen with heat rather. And I'm like okay what does it have to do with plastic? So then I started to think in my head I'm like okay first of all what is plastic right? Like what is it? Do you guys know what it is? Like what is it made of?

Petroleum.

It is. Yeah.

That's not common knowledge. Most people do not know that. And here's the craziest part.

Plastic is now considered the most common material in this world, but most people don't even know what it's made of. Like, we all know what paper is made of, but not everybody knows what plastic is made of. It's made of petroleum, and we all seen it. That's why it burns so well.

Mhm. As a matter of fact, on a chemical level, it's essentially the solid form of crude oil. So much so, to and and just like how we all know, a solid is the most dense form, meaning it has the most energy in it. So, I did research and I was like, plastic is made of petroleum. And then I found this chart that showed uh the energy bonds of plastic versus gasoline versus diesel. And then it turned out plastic has more energy in it than the fuel that we have in this world. And then I was like, whoa. I was starting to get a little bit confused now cuz I'm like, if this is so common knowledge, I can just look this up. How come we for one don't all know about this and we aren't doing this? And then I tied it back in cuz then I said, okay, so plastic is made of petroleum. Now you're talking about you can recycle plastic through pyrolysis. And then in pyrolysis, guess what? You turn that plastic back into crude oil, back into fuel. That's what pyrolysis is. And then now it all started to cook together and make sense. Now I'm like, now this sounds like the proper type of recycling. Turning plastic, not burning it or turning it into rugs, but turning it into an actual useful and valuable item. Because the number one reason why we don't recycle plastic is because it's cheaper to just make new plastic. And then you get better quality plastic anyway when you make it fresh from new plastic anyway. So it makes no sense to recycle. But if we can turn this into a valuable item that we know is so valuable cuz we go to war and kill each other over it.

Mhm.

Now that makes sense. And it actually made me even more upset in that moment when I found that out because I'm like I at this point I'm 17 years old in high school in welding class just looking stuff up on Google and I'm like why is it like like why is this something I have to go after to look up? Why aren't we already just doing this in the world? So then that made me say I'm building one. I'm building one. And so then I looked up like this in the same prompt how to build a plastic pyrolysis reactor. Boom. Instructables link came up on Google and then there was somebody that built like a little chamber on his stove.

Did Did they exist?

Yeah.

Okay. They existed. So that's where you you got the

So I didn't I didn't invent pyrolysis. I did not invent plastic pyrolysis. The the the process of turning plastic back into crude oil existed the day that plastic existed. Got

cuz pyrolysis is a process that existed since the beginning of Earth. So when you Here's how it works. When you have something heated without air and oxygen, it doesn't catch on fire. It actually breaks down into oil. And so this is what Earth does to make crude oil to begin with. A whole bunch of organic matter gets buried under the surface. There's no oxygen down there. We know it's hot down there and it breaks down into oil. That's why we have oil and gas pockets under the earth. Earth has been doing this process. This is biomimicry. But nonetheless, um, I looked up how to build a reactor. It pulled up and I and I'm like, "Okay, I can build that. I'm a welder, you know. This is simple." It was just like a literally like a a pot with pipes coming off of it. So, I did that. I built the first one 17 years old, uh, senior year cuz I gra I started school a year early. Um, so anyway, I built the first one in welding class cuz my welding teacher, I got ahead of everybody. So, my my uh my thumb healed. I started to weld again. I got ahead of everybody. And then the last month of class, I I built this reactor and it barely worked, but it did. And I made a little bit of uh oil. And then I was like, "Oh, wow. This is legit. This is a real thing." And then from that point, I I was always playing devil's advocate cuz I'm like, "Okay, I built this and I know it works, but why is this not adopted in the world?" Cuz I realized this is a very inefficient process. Um because here's how it typically works in the world. This is how every current and present pyrolysis manufacturer does it. Um on a small scale or a large scale, they have a vessel where plastic goes into, right? They close it off to where there's no air. You can't have oxygen or else it just catch on fire. Then they have a burner, like a gas burner that's heating up that container from the outside to then, you know, heat up the plastic on the inside to then break it down. The plastic turns into a petroleum vapor. That vapor then goes through the pipes and then the the vapor the pipes cool down the vapor until it becomes a liquid again through condensation. That's called traditional pyrolysis. It's very slow, very inefficient and you have to burn gas to even do the process. So I'm like this is not going to work. And then this is where I started to innovate because I thought to myself, what are faster ways of heating up something? Faster ways of breaking down something with heat. looking around my house, you know, I saw the oven, saw like an air fryer. I'm like, air fryer is fast, but that won't work cuz you can't have air.

I looked at the microwave and I'm like, now that that's a fast way of heating things up. And this was all happening u this was my gap. I I had a gap here after I graduated cuz I was telling my parents like this is what I want to work on. So, I was 18 at this point. And then um it was one night just looking around the kitchen thinking like that and I looked at the microwave and I said, I want to make a a reactor that operates off of microwaves. So, I started to do research into that. the same thing looking up on Google microwave pyrolysis reactors of plastic and I'm starting to find resources but it's starting to become more scarce now it's not as easy to just look up how to build a microwave pyrolysis reactor as a matter of fact when I built my first one nobody on earth had in a backyard scale put one together and put the instructions online that had not been done the only resources for a microwave pyrolysis reactor were universities and then pilot scale companies that at like million-dollar funding to like do research into building one. So there was no there were no guides to build a microwave pyrolysis reactor. I had to break it down to the where I'm like, okay, how do you take apart a microwave oven? How do you take apart the magnetron in the microwave oven? That's what makes the microwaves. How do you implement that onto a chamber where you can have microwaves enter a reactor? How do you take apart the power supply system from a microwave oven which produces enough voltage to kill you instantly? And how do you safely integrate this onto a homemade reactor? I And I had to do trial and error. I literally was going and picking up microwaves from the scrapyard, taking them apart, and then just looking up YouTube guides on like doing the wiring, the circuitry, all that. I'm not an electrician at all. And I I went to school for welding. I was teaching myself all that just by little trial and error because there was no guide to build the whole thing. But there were always these guides for little individual components like how to build a

You're not doing this in a lab. No, I'm in my parents backyard at this point. 18 years old.

Okay. Okay.

And so, uh, after about a month and a half, cuz here's the thing. Um, after I graduated, I actually got a job to work at the same welding school that I went to. I was an assistant instructor. So, my um my my actual instructor um would let me build these reactors while I would after I got the students ahead on their work and stuff. And they didn't need me to, you know, oversee them. So anyway, I built this called Mark 1. This was the first microwave pyrolysis reactor that it was a square machine that literally could have fit in my lap. Like this is like a crockpot about the size. And this was the first one to operate off of microwaves. And this could literally be seen on any of my um my social medias. But this machine when I uh built it and I put it together, you know, it was all built on a theory of like this is going to be more efficient. This is going to work better. I didn't know. Um but I'll say it like this. For instance, when I had that first machine I ever built that used traditional pyrolysis where uh you know you'd heat it up with a gas flame, the uh the it would take about 2 hours before you know from when you first turn on the gas flame to before you really start to see a lot of uh vapors forming for the plastic to break down into petroleum vapors, right? About 2 hours of heating up because it's a slow process. How

how long till it cools to turn to liquid?

Uh so as soon as you see vapors coming out, you can cool them to turn them into liquid. The first sign that you need is you need to see vapors cuz without vapors there's nothing to cool down. So that's what you want to see first. The plastic breaking down into that petroleum vapor.

Okay. I turned on my microwave paralysis reactor for the first time.

Guess how long it took. I want both of you to guess about how long it took before I started to see vapors after it turned on.

30 minutes.

Okay. 30 minutes.

I'm going to go lower than that. I'll say 5 minutes.

Vapors formed instantly. H the m this the second I turned it on vapors were already coming out and I'm like oh this is it cuz I I myself saw two hours an hour and a half to two hours was how long it took before to even see vapors. The microwaves work through what's called volutric heating. That's heating from the inside out. That's why you throw like a hot pocket in the microwave. If it doesn't cook right, the inside will be hot as hell, burn you, but the outside is cold. Microwaves heat from the inside out. And that's way more efficient because before you had a gas flame on the outside that was heating a container from the outside that would then conduct into the plastic and then plastic would have to spread the heat to other plastic which is an insulator. Microwaves just heat up just what you want, just the plastic. And so at that point I knew this is how we have to do it because there was another advantage that I didn't even really think about at that moment and that is that microwaves operate off of electricity which means this can operate off of any form of electricity whether that's solar, wind, nuclear, it doesn't matter. We have no limitation now. So then at that point there were a few issues with that rendition. So then I built another one, Mark 2, which was like the same type of machine, but it was circular. Cuz I figured out in doing research, there's a reason why every pressure vessel and gas truck ever has a cylinder is a cylinder, not a square, cuz it's just for pressure and sealing. It's easier. So I built the same machine, but circular this time, Mark 2, which was once again small, like literally the size of a crockpot, could fit on your lap. And then um after that I realized another big issue I had was um okay I'm throwing plastic in here but there's something in a microwave that there's more to a microwave than just throwing food in there. It has a turntable to agitate cuz otherwise microwaves never heat consistently or evenly. I'm like I need some type of turntable because what was happening is I throw the plastic in the machine it would make fuel. it would break down, but then there would be clumps of plastic in the middle that would never be even be touched that, you know, they'd still be solid plastic because what would happen the end byproduct in this process, uh, all that stuff to the plastic inside of the machine at the end is solid carbon like as in like carbon. Carbon like this can be turned to activated carbon. This is like, you know what I'm saying? This is elemental carbon and minerals. So, we'd have carbon all around the plastic, but then a solid lump of plastic in the middle. like there needs to be some type of agitation to improve this process cuz I'm always playing devil's advocate cuz I'm like how can we get this to a point where it will adopt be adopted into the world and change the world and so I'm also will make the process way more efficient right just I was doing research at this point on radio engineering at this point because I need to understand how microwaves work so I literally at this point am researching and reading NASA do and military documents on how they're um how they're transmitting radio waves because that's the best type of knowledge I could find to implement and material sciences I could find to implement on my scale because at this point when I'm building uh by the time I'm building Mark I there is no literature online to go off of. Are are you nervous at this point? Like you you have an idea. You've seen that it's worked in the world of science. I know a lot of times you're doing trials and you're doing trials before you can share it with the world. Somebody may come try to take the idea, steal the idea. Are you sharing it at this time or are you just keeping it to yourself?

So, by the time I built Mark 2, that circular machine, that's when I made my first YouTube video. That was the first publication of it online. And then, um, I had a lot of my friends tell me, "You should just go on TikTok with it." Okay, I did that cuz I didn't really get all that much traction on YouTube. So, I went on Tik Tok with it. The first video I ever uploaded with it got a million views because it was like my video was very direct. I'm like I'm turning plastic into fuel with this machine. That surprised people because people are first of all like that's possible and then they're like you're doing this in your backyard. So they couldn't help but look. So I started to share it online and that was actually a part of my strategy in a way because I was thinking okay I'm coming at this from a perspective of I want to actually change the world with it. I'm not just trying to make money off of it. I'm not just trying to, you know, get the fame and notoriety. I actually want to make a difference in the world. And I knew that the best way to do that would actually be through the support of people and not uh not the other way around where it's like I'm trying to do this in secrecy for years and years and then figure it out because I knew from my perspective um I didn't have interest in for example uh having having equity partners that weren't with the mission. I wasn't interested in just getting people that just wanted to throw me money just because and I don't even like know who they are. And so I knew if I could get publicity online for this, raise funds that way, like through donations, then that can give me um I guess a a running way to be able to continue to build and innovate to where I can have a better uh position, a better leverable position on on how I want to go forward with this. And so that's that was my strategy because I I realized a lot of inventors kind of mess up in the in the place of kind of holding it all to themselves and nobody knows about it and then if something happens to them, I mean, nobody even knew what you were building until after the fact, you know. So I'm like, I'm going to do something different and we're going to see if it works. It's a risk because, you know, I'm posting it online. Somebody could just rebuild it, but we'll see where it goes. So anyway, I built the next machine, Mark III. It was the first machine to have an agitation system. It had a big augur on the inside. Uh it was a horizontal machine at this point and it had almost like think about like a it was a an augur blade so it was almost like a gigantic spring on the inside that could rotate the plastic. Now that machine blew up and that was the first machine to ever have an incident. Um cuz I built it out outside I built it from a 55gallon drum.

So just to so you're building these different verticals of microwaves that's melting a plastic right. Does does it also enrich the plastic? Does the plastic need to be enriched in order for it to be used for like as as gasoline? Is that part of the machine as well or is that another process?

That's a another process and I'll get into that in a second because um at this point I didn't even really have um a specific uh refining method that I was using in place.

Okay. So, like I said, the Mark III machine blew up cuz I built it out of a 55gallon drum, too thin of metal. I built MarkV. This machine was built out of propane tanks, much thicker metal. At this point, I was really starting to get publicity online because now I was making fuel with these machines. I was starting to put testing engines like we whackers and stuff. But here's how this works. To answer your question, the plastic can go in the machine in any form. Mixed plastic, dirty plastic, doesn't matter. It could be mixed with food, could be mixed with motor oil, does not matter. It goes in the machine and it will all be broken down from the heat of the microwaves into that petroleum vapor. Now that petroleum vapor after it cools down, it becomes a crude oil. Now this crude oil is crude oil. So you can't just put it in an engine. You have to do another process called distillation. Fractional distillation to refine that crude oil into gasoline, diesel and jet fuel. that now fractional distillation is the exact process we use in every refiner on earth to this day to you know take crude oil make gasoline diesel and jet

that's kind of like what we've been hearing about the Venezuelan oil.

Yes.

It it has to be distilled. They don't have the refineries.

Exactly.

Gotcha. Exactly. So I at this point uh built a distiller cuz I'm like okay I'm making this crude oil but it's not it doesn't work in the engine as is. This this sounds who are you are you funding this or are the people now do it into you to fund it cuz this this all sounds like

obviously very innovative but it also could be expensive.

Yeah. Oh, very much so. And that's why I would be literally doing the most ghetto methods possible and taking apart microwaves from scrapyards and taking and literally getting propane tanks from scrapards and draining all the propane out and cutting them open and welding them together because I'm like I don't have the funds to, you know, go and buy fresh new metal, go and buy new microwave parts. Um, but people at this point were starting to donate. But it wasn't really flowing like that because I never asked for donations. I was coming from the perspective of I'm going to go viral. I'm gonna get ad revenue and then that's that's gonna fund me. And Tik Tok was paying here and there. It was nothing crazy. So I was still working at the school and I was also I started my own welding company called Jabis Middlework and I was going around here in Atlanta doing welding jobs for people. And so between all of those avenues, you know, a little bit of ad revenue here and there, welding company, uh working at the school as a assistant teacher and then some donations, I was making enough money to just make it work. And um and then um that MarkV machine uh I did make my first distiller. I built it and I made gasoline, put it into a weed whacker. That was the first engine to ever operate. It was awesome. But then that MarkV machine caught on fire and that was in my parents backyard at this time cuz I put all my money into this, you know, not even getting an apartment or anything. And uh and when that happened, they're like, "We don't want you operating these anymore." And then I'm like, "Dang." And then that was the first time I ever um I think I had ever put my cash app on anything when I had that fire because I'm like guys I just need some type of support because it almost caught their house on fire like they you know I had to repair things and then there was such a a a rush of support like more than I ever thought cuz I at that point I never felt comfortable even like asking for any type of donation but I'm like, you know, you guys see I'm passionate. I already been through one of these machines exploding. This one caught on fire. And then at that point, I'm like, "Oh, so people really will will get behind this at this point." Because at this point on TikTok, I think I had half a million subscribers or followers. And then on Instagram, I had like a few thousand. But anyway, then I realized, okay, there's we can do something with this. So, I took a break, a high hiatus for about half a year cuz I didn't know how I wanted to go about this because, you know, like I said, I didn't have any property and my parents told me, you can't do this anymore. So then I kind of told them, I said, "Hey, 6 months later, I'm like, "Listen guys, you see I have all this support online. You see, people will donate. Here's what I'm thinking. I'm going to build my next machine in the backyard, okay? And people, you know, we'll find we'll give donations and get excited for it. And then through those donations, we'll raise the money to buy the property we need to actually put this on." And I told them, "I'll build it, but I'll never turn it on." That was the that was our deal. Now, I knew in my head I was lying cuz I knew, you know, if I really want to get these donations, I'm going to have to build that machine and turn it on. Uh, but anyway, then I built the next machine, Mark 4.5. Now, the reason why it's 4.5 and not Mark Five is because I always promised everybody that Mark Five would be the first professionally built machine that wasn't ghetto anymore. It wasn't microwave parts and propane tanks. Mark 4.5 was built out of three 100 lb propane tanks that were cut and welded together. Microwave parts from scrapyard microwaves microwaves people donate to me thrown on there. This is the biggest machine. This is the machine everybody knows me for now. So at this point that machine just by the size and stature of it now it was starting to really pick up right. I was starting to get a lot of more donations. Um starting to get um uh at this point my my Instagram was starting to blow up. I start I I think I had like 100 200,000 um uh followers on Instagram and then I made a little bit of fuel from it that then I powered in the first vehicle. At this point, I put uh I made some diesel cuz I make gasoline, diesel, and jet fuel. And I put the diesel inside of a 1993 uh Ford F350 truck that um another influencer named Rachel Cook, she bought in Florida and drove it up to Georgia just to see it. This was the first vehicle ever. So, like when I was asking my supporters like, "Hey, does anybody want to donate your vehicle to be the first?" Everybody was like, "Hell no, we're not doing that." No, sorry. You know, nobody in my life was willing to do that. But she uh Rachel Cook being an influencer herself, she already had money. So, she just was like, "I I believe in you." She bought a truck, drove it up, and then we put the diesel in, and then it worked. And then now I really started to pick up because now people are like, "Oh." Cuz up to that point, everybody was like, "You're making you're not making fuel. You're just making like that's trash, you're just

So, it worked. As far as when you say it worked, um, she had to empty the tank. You can't mix You can't mix what you what you're doing, the plastic with the gas.

Yeah.

You can't you cannot do that, right?

Well, you can, but if you do that, then it's not a realistic test because it's like

it still has gas in it.

So, so she had to empty the tank.

So, so here's what happened. We had such a small quantity of the diesel, we couldn't empty the tank. We had to empty We had to basically go into the engine and essentially empty all the diesel from the engine and pour my diesel directly into the engine. Okay. Right. And so that's what we did for her truck. Um, and it worked. It ran. And then you could literally even smell from the exhaust that this was uh it was a different fuel in there.

How long did it run for?

Uh, it it ran for actually a decent amount of time. Uh, cuz we had about I had about half a gallon and I only ended up putting a quarter gallon in the the fuel filter uh fuel filter bowl area. And then just off of that little bit, uh, we ran the truck around this parking lot like 10 times and then it still had some in there.

So, how much plastic does it take did it take to get to the half a gallon?

Uh, so the average conversion rate is about 10 lbs to a gallon.

Okay.

The reason I had so little was because um, like I said, uh, I in the middle of me making that, my last machine had burned down and I couldn't make any more from that point forward. But then anyway, with Mark 4.5 doing that, you know, and then the machine was big. Now I was really starting to pick up on all social medias. But then a big incident happened one day. I was distilling, refining, which is, you know, you're literally boiling the crude oil to make it gasoline, diesel, and jet fuel. And it blew up. It literally exploded

and I was in the explosion and it was like a fireball. Um, and then it gave me second degree burns on my legs and I had to go to the hospital. Um, and then at that point, my parents are like,

"You're done.

You're done. You're done.

Enough is enough."

Yeah. Yeah. That's it. And so then they said, "If you want to continue working on this, like we support you and all cuz like, yeah, we love you and all, but you can't do it here anymore." I don't know how we never had the HOA call on us cuz we got a strict HOA, but I think all my neighbors are with the mission cuz we never got the the HOA call even after a mushroom cloud explosion. As a matter of fact, like um I have these scars on my my foot. You see, uh where it looks like I have vital on both sides of my foot. Let me see if the camera can get it. Yeah. Yeah. You see them burn?

Yeah. Second degree burns. So, I had to go to the hospital to get burn surgery for that. I couldn't walk for about a month. Uh, I was in crutches.

Is this when you went missing?

No, no, no. We're about to get there.

Okay.

So, yeah, that was that was the summer before that happened.

This is a book, man.

And I actually am going to be writing a book soon. Uh, that's a different thing. We'll get to that. We'll get there.

But, um, anyway, blew myself up, hospital, all this. Got out and my parents are like, "No more." And they're like, "But here's the thing. We have this country property that we have family property out in Alabama um around Selma that you can go work on out there because there's no HOA out

there. It's, you know, country property."

The catch is it's 4 hours away. But I'm and I'm like, well, I'm kind of too far into the mission now because like at this point, I'm still coming from the perspective of like I've seen how much people will support me. And I'm like, I'm not about to dilute my company out of desperation for a place to do this. Cuz of course, people at this point were always offering like, hey, let me invest. Let me But it was always predatory and type of things. People are like, hey, you know, let me let me give you $50,000 for half of the company type thing. You know, let me give you $100,000 for half of it. I'm like, no.

>> You you formed the company. Like did do you did you know that process of creating a company?

>> I had an LLC at this point.

>> Okay. And then the other part is like I'm just stuck on you blowing yourself up. Usually engineers, chemical engineers have lab interns or lab like assistants. Do you have any of these things or is it just you?

>> No, it's it's just been me.

>> Wow. Okay.

>> Yeah.

>> Good. Keep going, man.

>> So going on uh I believe at this point I'm like 20 20 and almost 21. Um we I moved the machine, this entire machine out to Alabama, four hours away. And um that's this is this machine that everybody's known me for online. This the big machine that's the size of about a school bus, you know, all together. And this machine is the machine that made the fuel that I put into like the Scat Pack in Atlanta, the super motorcycle. This is the same machine that made the fuel that I just put into the Rolls-Royce uh this this last weekend. Um, but this machine out there, um, it was a 4-hour drive to and from. So, for almost a year and a half of my life, I committed myself to driving a 4 hours out there just to get started working and then drive 4 hours back. So, I didn't live out in Alabama. And this isn't a super isolated piece of country property that's so isolated that you you you're like you might hear a a plane go by every here and there. Like, you might like this is isolated. there's only cows and hay fields and and mosquitoes around. That's it. And um and then so then that's that's being in such an isolated place like that. That's why this was a really weird situation where um and I believe it was May of last year. I had that machine out there. Um and then I started to implement solar panels into it cuz I told you guys before like a huge advantage of microwaves is you can operate it off of any type of electricity. And I had this theory where I'm like, "Okay, if we operate this off of solar panels and the energy comes from the sun, um, well, outside of labor, I'm able to make fuel for free." You know, I'm not charging myself for labor. So, it's a zero cost to operate. Electricity was the only cost. So, then I got I did a fundraiser. I raised about $30,000 to get solar panels and all the things I needed. And then I put it all together. And at that point,

>> you got to did you get to 30,000 quickly?

>> Yeah, I did. You know why? Because you know what I did? I did shows where I was operating different vehicles. So, one of the biggest shows I did, I was in Chicago and I ran two identical trucks. We ran we ran one truck off a diesel from the pump and one truck off of my diesel. And we compared the smell, the exhaust, the smoke level. And then we realized my my my fuel literally had less smoke. the exhaust smelt cleaner. And then a few months later, I actually sent my diesel to a lab to ASAP Labs in Washington, Vancouver, Washington, and they confirmed it with the test. Their lab test showed my diesel makes more power than diesel from the pump, makes less smoke, it burns cleaner than diesel from the pump. They have the I have the paperwork. Well, ASAP Lab set them. And then we're like, "Oh, wow. This is crazy." So, between those two things, those two exciting moments, people were like, "Oh, yes. We're supporting this."

>> So, I had a GoFundMe. Like I said, I'm still in LSA at this point, not even a nonprofit. $30,000 raised, got all the the money I needed. I also had a guy in Chicago donate solar panels. So, while I was up there doing my show, I also grabbed like a whole bunch of solar panels from him. But anyway, at that point, I put the solar panels on the machine. Now, this is where I became an inventor because at that point in the world, there was not a single, like I said, there were some microwave pyrolysis reactors, a few here and there. There were some a ton of traditional pyrolysis reactors, but nobody had made a solar microwave pyrolysis reactor anywhere. No university, no million-dollar funded startup. This was the first. And so I built it. But then the same month when I implemented those solar panels, something weird happened out on this super isolated piece of property where, like I said, you're lucky if you even hear a plane go by. I was out there one night. It was about 10:00 at night. long day of work because I'll be sleeping inside of my minivan some nights legit and daylight I felt these really deep vibrations through my whole body shaking my whole car. I'm like what is that? It was a helicopter flying over and then I'm like what? That's weird. Like I've been out here for a year working on this thing. There's never been a helicopter. Like there's there's rotor um literally propeller airplanes that fly here and there, you know, the grain airplanes for farmers, but never a helicopter. So I'm like that's weird. I got out my car, looked, and there was this just this this black blacked out helicopter flying at the tree line super low. And I'm like, "Okay." It had a spotlight on it, too. I'm like, "Okay, I guess it's just flying by. Whatever." Okay. Boom. Flew over then. It circled back around me again. Like, okay, that's weird. But I'm not going to freak out. Then it did it again. I'm like, "Oh, hell no." I got my phone out. I have it. We got the video. I recorded that helicopter because it circled me six times. And the spotlight was literally shining directly into the windshield of my van. I was getting ready to just drive off that night cuz I'm like, "What is going on?" And then it then it flew off. But like I said, at that point, I got it on camera. I was posting stories about it on Instagram cuz at this point um I think I had like a million followers on Instagram, 2 million on Tik Tok, few half aund thousand on YouTube or whatever or half a million. Um and I'm posting about this and everybody's like, "Yo, man, that that's that's some that's some agency or something." And I'm like, I don't know who that was.

>> It was they

>> Yeah. And I'm like, I think I guess they think I'm just making like whiskey out here or something, doing something illegal, whatever that I'm playing, you know, trying to be as optimistic as possible. But then the month after that, now we're we're in June of 2025. Now, the month after that, all of a sudden, one day I wake up and then my phone is completely hacked. Like I had an iPhone at this time and it was completely hacked. like hacked to the degree where somebody was able to hear, tap into the mic of the phone, tap into the camera of the phone, had access to every picture, anything I did on the phone.

>> How do you know that?

>> Because um I would literally I I literally be talking um to like my family members about what was going on and they get text of what I was saying. I'm like, "What in the world is going on? This is like something from a movie." And then I know they were I knew they had access to my entire phone. You know why? because I had a picture of my phone on my phone with my driver's license that I use like for applications or whatever. And that picture of my driver's license that was only on my phone got uploaded to my Instagram account. And then I'm like, what? And then I and then I looked at my Instagram and then I'm like, okay, somebody hacked in obviously. But then I looked in the the login, there were no login. It said, you posted that to your Instagram account. I said, no, I didn't. And I'm like, "Oh, I I kind of get it now. There's some type of malware or bug on my phone to where somebody literally is essentially in my phone." And I've realized that um on Apple phones, there's this thing called advanced data protection that by default is turned off. And if you have that thing turned off, it allows somebody to essentially from a computer access your phone. And and this is a thing for uh especially iPhones cuz Apple can do it. If you have ever been on the phone with Apple support, they could literally control your phone remotely. True.

>> So, some hackers breached that system and they had complete access to my phone and then anybody around me, like my family that had iPhones, they were getting breached, too. Air tags were going off like out of nowhere. It was crazy stuff. And then they were continuing to post my driver's license, my family information, personal information all over my social medias. And I'm like, I don't know what's going on. And I made a video online. I said, "Guys, there is weird stuff going on. I have no idea who this is, was doing this, but I got to figure this out. So, keep your eyes open. If you if you see weird things, know that some I'm under attack. I made that video. That was it. I stopped posting for over almost two months because I'm trying to fight all this, figure out what's going on. I'm trying to figure out like, is this a physical threat? Like, is my life at risk? Is my family's life at risk? They know where I'm at. They know my address. They know all this stuff. They're posting stuff online about me on my social media." And then um at that point that's when everybody said he went missing.

>> No, that was okay.

>> Yep. And I never told people I was missing or kidnapped or anything. I told people just keep your eyes open cuz weird stuff is going on. But then when you combine that me making that video with them posting my driver's license, it did look like a kidnapping situation. I'll keep it real. It really did.

>> We thought you got kidnapped.

>> Yeah, it really did look like that because then I'm talking to Meta cuz I'm like Meta, somebody is logging into my account cuz Meta is telling me at this point they're like, "If you post your license again, we're banning your account permanently." that's against our our policies. I'm like, Meta, that's not me. And Meta said, "Okay, we're going to lock your Instagram account. You can't log in and nobody can." And then and they said, "We're going to do an investigation while it's locked down." So, at this point, for over a month of them doing their their investigation, I literally couldn't update people

>> because they locked my account. And then at that point, I'm like, I'm not touching any of my social medias because I'm not letting whoever this is have any um any plays on me,

>> right? Like there was there was so many weird things, but I'll tell you guys how weird it got. It got to the point where I had my iPhone. I turned on the I turned it on airplane mode because I'm like, "This iPhone is tapped to to all hell." Turned it on airplane mode, turned it all the way off, threw it inside of a Faraday bag, then put that inside of a metal ammo container. Okay. Came back the next day, turned it on, airplane mode was off. I'm like, "What? How is that even physically possible?" I All my Air Tags would be randomly going off. I used to add all these air tags and all my air tags would be beeping like you know like if somebody if you if you tell it to go ring like you're going to find it all mine would be beeping. I'd take the batteries out, put the batteries back in, put them inside of Faraday bags, they'd still be beeping. So somebody just had complete control over my my entire thing. Ring cameras and then it turned out my computer had malware on it. my my because I was talking to a tech support guy one day um on WhatsApp messenger on my computer uh because they were hacking all my stuff, my Facebook, all this and all of a sudden he got a message sent to him and they were like, "We know you're talking. We know you're helping Julian. Stop helping him." He got a text and and this was from my computer and we're like, "Dang, yo, they got everything compromised." So then at that point, I got rid of all my phones. Um I I had to wipe all my computers and then um all this was happening. Um, and then at the same time, everybody online was talking about he's missing, he's kidnapped, you know, everybody was was saying all these things and then, um, I finally got everything situated about a month later and I came back and made made the video where I'm like um, uh, it was hackers, guys. They they got into my stuff and then on top of that, like I forgot to mention on top of all this, just a month before the hack, I had that helicopter fly over. So, people put all that together and they're like, "Oh, they got this guy. He's done."

>> It's crazy. A week after that video, you at Investfest.

>> Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Exactly. Cuz look Yep. Yep. Cuz Investfest was August. So Yep. Then I I showed up to Investfest and then uh

>> he's here.

>> Yeah. And then and then everybody was like surprised to see me cuz everybody was like he was missing. So then it was crazy cuz when I was there I was just going cuz I'm like I just want to see what's up. Like I didn't go as like I don't know security or anything. I just showed up as myself. Nothing. And any everywhere I went I was swarmed. Like I couldn't walk anywhere. Even when there were some moments, you know, uh that where the stages it's like dark in there,

>> you know, and I'm dark skinned, so I'm like, I got an advantage. I can do a little sneak effect.

>> Let me let me go step in the corner of this dark room and I can finally just be No, people would find me and then before I knew it, I'd be swarmed. Everybody would be willing to interview me and then take pictures with me and I'm like, "Oh my goodness, this is crazy." Um, and then and then I ran into you guys and then at that point, that's why I'm like, "Yes, please let me in the VIP room because it's been a rough day out here." you're like, "Oh my goodness, anywhere I go, I I tell you, in the bathroom, it didn't matter." Um, but that did show that what that showed me though was that my my theory of doing this approach of sharing it online works

>> because even though that that wasn't a situation where I know I wasn't kidnapped, but I was under attack, people were not silent. The news didn't want to pick up on it, but people did made it the news

>> everywhere. I was in South Africa publications, France, Germany, Mexico, United Sta, like Daily Mail, everywhere. There were blog posts, world, everybody was posting about because people the people did not let it be silent. Nobody let that like every social media, well, not every social media creat, but tons of huge social media creators were were talking about it. Kyrie Irving was talking about I mean, like it was crazy. And that goes to show me that like yes, this approach of sharing this with everybody and making it the world's journey is advantageous because nobody will ever let this be like other past inventors where it could just be snuffed out easy. It's going to be a fight to snuff this out cuz nobody's going to just let it lay low.

>> Mhm.

>> When something happens because here's the crazy thing. I don't know who it was that hacked into my stuff. But I'll tell you this, they had access to my page. Okay? And and when all since all this hap was happening, my page shot up like like I was at a million followers when it started and at the end of the hack I was at like 2.5 million because of all the publicity. But anyway, they had access to my humongous page that had more views than ever. And they didn't use that opportunity to go in there and like post a some type of like crypto scam to make money or post about themselves for publicity. Their only motive was to break my spirit. Their only motive was to post personal things about me, uh, things about my address and my family to try to discourage me. And what that goal to show me was whoever this was that had these crazy means to hack into me like this, they're intimidated just by the fact of what I'm doing.

>> And there we there's all type of theories we can go down.

>> You don't even got to go down that hole. You're who you think could be intimidated and you could just you could just go down a rabbit hole yourself. But my thing is this, okay? when that when you got back they it just stopped. It never like

>> oh no no it's still going on to this day

>> you know uh but what it is is I've changed my approach I understand that anything I do on any device is is not is not private and I also I have so many different cyber security means like like for example I have um I have super complex passwords for every individual login and then I have a a physical authentication security key for every login and then I have um anybody that works in my organization has to go through cyber security training and then I have a cyber security team that's super you know air airtight cuz like they there this is a cyber security team that has clients all around the world companies and they were like we've never seen an attack like this before and they said this is a nation state level attack meaning this was a funded organization funded by some nation's government to do this because that was a team and that was an expensive attack and for them to do such an expensive attack and not ask for money means that they were funded to do that also like I said we can go down the rabbit holes on who it was all day.

>> Yeah. They No, we just say they I I mean obviously the the time that we're living in, you can see with the conflict that's going on throughout the world, oil is obviously at the forefront a lot of it. Do you see your technology as an alternative more so than a replacement? Um and and long-term vision of of the technology. How does it keep advancing?

>> I I see my technology as an integration

>> integration. Uh, and here's the thing, the fuel is amazing and and that's what gets people's attention, but the goal and the point was actually to get rid of plastic and we just happened to turn it into fuel. As a society and as a species, if we don't get rid of our plastic, we're not we're not going to be a species soon because microplastics are already like 5% of our brain is already made of microplastic

>> because we consume so much of it.

>> Yeah. Because it's in the landfills and in the oceans and it breaks down into these small particles in those areas. It gets into the food. that gets into the water, it gets into the air, we consume it. We have to get rid of it. And so this is a necessary thing with or without the fuel side. The fuel side is amazing. And that's an even better side for integration. An amazing an amazing byproduct, but I don't care if this process was turning plastic into dirt.

>> Because as far as I know, you can have all the boats you want going out to the ocean, they collect the plastic, but if you're bringing it back to shore just to throw it in the landfill, that's not a solution to me. Because I know when it goes when plastic is in the landfill, it still is breaking down into microplastics that then get into the landfill, leeate rain water that ends up in our water supply. It's still breaking down under photogradation into methane and ethylene, which are 25 times and 40 times worse than CO2, which is if people want to talk about global warming of making fuel. That's way worse global warming from that than any CO2 that comes from burning plastine,

>> right? So the fuel is amazing. But to integrate this into the world, I I see it as we need to get it to the point where it's valuable to recycle plastic. We need to get to the point where like like you used to get paid for bringing in like, you know, metal cans. You could get paid to bring in plastic because now we're making it into such a valuable product. I'm not here to replace anybody. I'm not here to replace any plastic manufacturers. I'm not here to replace any fuel uh people. I'm just here to to to give a solution to two sides of the spectrum. To give a solution for getting rid of waste, waste management and then energy independence. Now, as it stands, unfortunately, those are two industries that don't want to be tapped into in any way. Waste management and recycling, like I said, they operate very shady because they're making billions telling a lie. Why would anybody ever pay for their recycling again when they know it's not actually being recycled? when they know that I actually am recycling, right? I'm I don't want to step on their toes. I want to integrate and and I always look for ways to integrate where it's like, okay, maybe waste management, you have your recycling program. How about you just give the plastic to me, right? I'm not I'm not here trying to replace you cuz frankly, that's not how you live for. You don't you're not going to come along and replace industries that have been around for centuries. That's just not happening. Same thing with the the fuel industry. I'm like, okay, my perspective business, everybody's like, why don't you make your own gas station? And I'm like, because uh I don't want to die. I'm like, How about easy answer?

>> How about we do this, guys? How about I go to gas stations to say, hey, how about you guys can add my stuff as a fuel additive? How about I get the proof to show that my fuel actually burns better and cleaner and is better for engines than fuel from the pump. And now you can go, you know, some pumps have those little things where you can like add the detergent for extra like, I don't know, few cents a gallon. Now you could add plastine for a few cents a gallon. And this is proven to like give you better fuel economy or whatever. Integration is the key.

>> Collaboration is the key. But also, I set myself up strategically to where it really doesn't matter because I uh very intentionally do not have my technology patented.

>> Why? Why?

>> Because the patent industry is actually very corrupt.

>> I learned this because I at one point was patent pending. And then uh one day I went to a Rotary Club meeting and I spoke with the inventor of the wireless key fob for cars. And he told me, " Um, GM stole my stuff." He said, and I said, "Well, you have a patent, didn't you?" He's like, "Yo, I have like se 70 patents and I've been to every country on the on earth almost." I'm like, "So, how' they steal your stuff with the patent?" He's like, "Cuz a patent doesn't mean anything to big players. All a patent is is is a means for you to go to court and say, "Hey, they infringed on my patent." But when you're in court, that's a whole different story. Now you're in court, and now you have to prove to the judge that they infringed on your patent. Now you need to fight their lawyers. Okay, you're in an industry. You came up with something and you're fighting this big industry that has billions of dollars and they can just go to court over and over and over again and take you and fight you and fight you and fight you until you have no money left. So even though you know they stole your thing, you can't prove it anymore cuz all they have to do is keep re rebuting it in court over and over again. They have the funds to do that. You don't because you're not GM, you're not whoever, you know. And so he told me, he's like, "The truth is, if you want something to be yours, because when you patent something, it becomes public knowledge. It gets published on the patent directory." I know that cuz I literally looked up patents for pyrolysis reactors to get inspiration to build mine. So that means anybody on earth can look up your patent and see how it was built, how it was made, and then make a copy, make a few changes, and then say it was theirs. And then you can go and fight them, but that takes time, that takes money, and then at some point you can't do it anymore. You're trying to invent. you're not trying to be a you're you know what I'm saying? Like you're an inventor, not a lawyer, not trying to fight people in court for the rest of your life. So, um he told me that and he's like the key is really trade secrets. Think about it. He's like Coca-Cola did not patent the Coca-Cola formula. Why? Cuz if they patented the formula,

>> they would know it.

>> Everybody would know it. Even though nobody can copy it, everybody would know it. And you best believe they copy it because guess what? In China, there's no patent law. It just goes to That's why they have Chinese knockoffs of everything. They they have no patent enforcement in China and so many other countries. So then he's like and guess what you had to do? You had to go and get a patent in every country on earth. You know how much that cost? So much money. And then you had to renew it.

>> Yeah. Every

>> And so you paid all this money that could have gone into your actual invention to get the patent, which means nothing cuz they just go and take it and copy it. Then you had to spend money finding them in court. And I and then I heard this story from inventor after inventor after inventor. And they both said they always said to me, "Trade secrets are the key."

>> What's trade secrets? You just you you just don't tell anybody.

>> Trade secrets are things that you have that you that nobody knows. And I have a few trade secrets on my machine that nobody knows that you can you can look at my machine on a video camera and not know these certain particular material in the workings of it.

>> Exactly. But I have another plate. So there's this thing called public domain. Once you have something published online for over a year, nobody can patent it. All my machines are public domain. Nobody can patent any of my machines because they've all been visible in the public for over a year.

>> And that's because you're putting them on social media.

>> Exactly.

>> So that now that saves things because now there's no way a company can come and just shelf it, patent what I made, copy it and shelf it and he and hide it. But then here's another approach I'm doing. I'm like I do have trade secrets that um I have. Yes. The truth is people you will always have copycats. That's is what it is. That's just how the world works. That's just how the market works. The key is being first to market. Right now, I'm constructing my next machine, Mark 5, which will be the world's first solar mobile micro pyrolysis reactor. It's literally going to be on a trailer and I'll literally be able to drive to like anywhere, pull up, process plastic on site, go to the next stop. Here's the thing. That machine is that's going to be the one that's going to go to market eventually because I'll be able to sell these mobile trailer machines directly to governments, to companies, to farmers, whoever,

>> to individuals,

>> possibly. I don't know what the regulations look like on that, but possibly. Either way, being first to market and having trade secrets is the key. And so, here's what I'm actually going to do. Um, since I got to this point and I understand how to make a mobile machine like this after all my five years of trial and error, I actually um am going to be writing a book with the blueprints in it on how and I'll just be public.

>> Okay.

>> On how to do it.

>> That's how to do it.

>> Just cause.

>> Yeah.

>> So, here's the game.

>> Yeah.

>> One of the things we talk about is

>> Whoa. Whoa. What do you mean by that? What do you mean by that? You writing a book telling people how to do what you did.

>> Yeah.

>> But you're not going to put everything in it. You got the trade secrets.

>> I I'm gonna I'm gonna when I write that book, I'm going to tell people how to build a machine. And that means everything.

>> The trade secrets included.

>> That means everything. That I'mma tell them how to build the machine.

>> But you've already got the public domain. So,

>> well, nobody can patent it, but

>> you know, of course, it's a gamble because it's like, okay, I put this out and what nothing stops a company from taking all my research and work and implementing it on their own thing and doing it. But you know what I realized? I realized if I put this out and a company or individuals or people in the world go and take my work and you know steal it and go and make copies and then go out and get it in the world. I realized at some point I'm like that's actually what I want because that's actually solving the problem.

>> Like what I want is to get rid of plastic.

>> Yeah.

>> There's no way one company on earth can do

>> open source model. It's bigger than you making money. You really want you really want to just solve a problem in the in the world. This is the Yeah, this is a selfless. Now, of course, we have, you know, I'm going to make it make sense for me and that's why I'm putting it in my book cuz now if you now, but at the same time, you one person could buy a book and just upload them online and anybody could see it. So, I mean, like at the end of the day, of course, um, of course any everybody wants to make money, but I'm like I I there's a different means for me than that.

>> So, it's it sounds like it's a win-win, right? the book if you can monetize that you can make some money obviously but if people steal the idea then they it solves the issue that you were coming

>> to begin with. Yeah.

>> And then that is the ultimate form of protection.

>> So here's here's the thing cuz it it made me think of funding especially for black businesses the lack thereof right imagine in a world and I don't know do you do you wrestle with that? What would this look like if there was funding? Is it infrastructure? Is it factories that we can put this in or are you looking at it like even with those odds against me? Right? Because you're doing this, you're doing GoFundMe and you're monetizing the content. The mobile model is what I'm going to do and the book is becoming the way that I can say, "All right, even if they don't do it, here's here's a way I can get this out to the world."

>> Well, I see it as this. Uh, for example, this mobile machine that's being built.

>> Yeah.

>> Um I am raising funds. So I have a nonprofit now. I just started literally uh last month. And so for example that machine, this mobile machine is being built and funded 100% by sponsors.

>> So companies are paying to have their logo on the final wrap of the bus. And so I started to realize I have certain brand things now cuz guess what? Anybody can build a machine, but not everybody is Nature Jab building a machine. You know what I'm saying? It's like it's like any car can get you from a from from point A to point B, but not every car is a Rolls-Royce doing that. You know, there's a difference.

>> And so the brand is strong in the sense of of course raising funds, but also the brand is strong in the sense of when it comes to market, when it comes to actually being on the market and selling these. Because yes, anybody could just make these machines when the blueprints are out there. But there's some companies and individuals who only want a machine from me. They only want a machine from the Nature Jab brand because that is like that that is like the top the highest echelon, highest qual. Everybody else is a copycat under that, right? Cuz here's the thing. Of course, I'm going to make the book and blueprints, but that that's still going to be like relatively outdated. My mind is always building the next machine while I'm on the current machine I'm building. So like I'm on Mark 6 in my mind. The book is going to have Mark Five in it. So, I'm already like coming up with new trade secrets, new things on for the next machine. And of course, there's of course um the experience, like I said, I got to a point where since I was the only one building these type of machines, you can't look up certain things for these machines. Like when I have troubleshooting, there is no googling it anymore. It's only me out there trial and error solving it myself. And so with that being said, I have certain knowledge in my mind that gives me an advantage over anybody because I'm the only one who has been at this five years blowing myself up multiple times, you know. Um, and so I always have that advantage. But the truth is, like I said, like if I'm really looking at it like almost like from an ego disillusion perspective, it actually is beautiful if people could actually design machines even better than me. Cuz here's the thing. If I make this open source, now everybody's improvements are open for everybody. And now now we're we're getting to the solving the problem faster. You know, I have people all over the world nowadays who are already trying to copy my machines now and tell me and I have people in Brazil and all this. I encourage them. I say be safe. Don't blow yourself up, you know, but um but yeah, I encourage you cuz we need this everywhere, right?

>> Um and my goal is I'm going to take the same mobile platform machine. So, NatureJab LLC, that's for-profit that's going to sell the trailer machines to governments, blah blah blah, individuals around the world. Uh, Jab Innovations, the nonprofit, is going to take that same mobile system and implement it onto boats that will go out into the ocean and then now we can process the ocean plastic directly into fuel and the boat can run off of that fuel and just be out there forever. We'll have a boat that's autonomous like with AI. Just be out there forever until all the plastic is gone cuz it it can just run until all the plastic is gone.

>> What's the pricing like for a machine like that? Because when you're saying it, it makes me think of when you talked about AI, how a company like ASML has created a the EUV machine and it's their machine, but it's so expensive because as it's a specialty, obviously you're the creator of this machine, which makes it a specialty. How are you making the price?

>> They're not that expensive. Like I'm building this mobile machine. It's going to come in at like $100,000, you know, with the trailer and all that, you know, and that means that could be sold for like 200,000 quarter million, you know, and that was a that's a part of the purpose. The reason why is because going back to what I was saying, some of the nations that need this technology the most cannot afford it. Quarter million dollars, that's enough to fund raise. Let's get this machine in synagogue. Let's get this machine in Ghana. Let's get a machine in Dominican Republic, Haiti. Let's get this machine in countries that need it the most but can't afford it. We could do that. That's an easy crowdund. That's way easier than than crowdfunding $250 million. decentralized approach is the way I I said in the beginning I didn't invent pyrolysis. There have already been companies that built big machines that run off of traditional pyrolysis reactors around the world. I play devil's advocate cuz I'm like well they're clearly not doing their job properly cuz we got plastic everywhere. Simple simple equation. And in playing devil's advocate, I realized the big issue was that they're making these huge centralized plants that nobody can afford. That if they have any issues, a small issue is a huge issue on a machine that size. You know, a machine the size of a a few acres. A small issue can put that thing can cost millions of dollars and and put it out of commission for months. But and I proved that you can build these small machines like this that actually process a good amount of plastic on a daily basis and can make can make on a small scale fuel of quality. Like I don't I have not seen anybody else that has built a a a mobile and self-sufficient essentially oil refinery. And I've proven that can be done. And now that I that I've proven that can be done, I believe that's the way to do it. I believe let's have however many hundreds of trailer machines are needed per city and it'll be just like waste management. Uh go to a restaurant, they have their plastic out, pull up, boom, process it, go on to the next stop, do that everywhere. Islands, especially Hawaii, they need this. They don't have landfill space. It cost them so much to ship plastic off of the island. It makes more sense for them to just pay for a machine. They can process it right there and make fuel. There you have it. There you have it, man. That was extremely insightful conversation. Um, what do you need to make this happen at scale? Like I know you you know obviously you're raising money or you have donations like in a perfect world, right? If if I could just snap a finger today and like what would be your wish list? Okay, I need this amount of money. I need this amount of land. I need this amount of workers. What do you need to get this running at scale? I would say uh I I would say I need probably about $10 million at this rate to to fulfill the rest of the vision because with $10 million I can afford the property that that'll be necessary and then any type of manufacturing things um to get to the point cuz I ultimately want to be a manufacturer of these trailer machines. Um and you know the truth is I've uh up to this entire point in my journey I have been independent in this. I don't have any um any any business partners or equity partners uh because that allows me to do things like put my my book out or not patent it because you know like for example an investor the first thing they want is the security of knowing like we're going to get our return like so they're like you got to patent it. You're not you're definitely not going to put out a book with blueprints now until we get our money first. But I always decide I always was like, well, I'm trying to actually make a difference in the world and not just make money because if I want to make money, there's a lot hell of a lot easier ways in this world to make money and safer ways to make money. So, I'm like, we're actually trying to go for impact and make the difference. You have to have this different perspective of like like almost like doing those selfless acts of faith.

>> Mhm.

>> Cuz I know I'll be fine in the end. I've been fine up to this point. And so, um, yeah, when it comes down to it, that's why I start my nonprofit because now it allows people to have a taxdeductible way to directly get to the project. And I kind of just with that kind of just walk by faith by saying, you know, I'm going to build this next machine. We're going to see where it goes. And I truly believe that um when I build these trailer machines and I tour the entire United States with it, showing everybody before their eyes the process, I just truly believe the right it'll be in the eyes of the right individuals that will then um allow this to be in the right place. And whether that may not even be like direct, oh, I just get $10 million. It might just be something like, hey, I'll allow you to work at my plants. I'll allow you to be at my warehouse for free. You you can manufacture them here. You know, who knows what's going to come from it. But I just believe that since my intentions are from the perspective of I'm just trying to change the world, I'm going to get in front of the right people. And I've already seen that because for example, uh the machine that's being built right now, the Mark 5 machine on their mobile trailer is literally being community built by volunteers from all around the United States. These are highly skilled individuals. people that frankly should not be just volunteering their time and and even on their own expense to come out there and work on it, but they are because they see the vision and they see uh what this is meaning and and I truly believe especially like with the boat like I believe the boat would be very easy to raise sponsorships for, for example, cuz companies would love to have their logo on this barge that's going out to the ocean. And so I just believe that yeah, it's going to all work out and um it'll all happen just as it always has over these five years because I' i've walked by faith in many different ways. uh doing this, you know, just like um for example, um I chose not to go to college to focus on this and you know, I'm still here. And so I I believe that especially uh at this point uh making this mobile and getting being able to show it to people, this is really opening up the next chapter of this entire process and and things are going to become very exponential because it's just been this year 2026 now when I've really started to actually work with people. Up to this point, it's always just been me. I've never had volunteers or interns or even organizational people helping me. Now I'm starting to actually find the right team of people because I've laid down the roots and foundation to show people what this is for and what the mission is for. And that the goal is not just to get rich off of it. And now I'm attracting those type of people around me that get that and are working conjunctively in that same vein. And now I I really believe uh within the next 5 years at most this is going to be in a place where implemented in the world cuz I can just tell the exponentiality is there. Now,

>> what just one question real quick?

>> Um, you you have the pathway forward. You're still on social media,

>> but like what what do you think about any level of criticism?

>> Cuz there's always going to be critics, right? For sure. So, some people was like, well, they already have, like you said, they've spent millions of dollars on this already. It hasn't worked at scale.

>> Why should we think that it's going to work at scale this time? Or some people are like, um, it'll never happen because like you said, the waste management, the oil companies, it's just not going to work. Or people will say, um, it like there's a variety of different things for sure.

>> Like for the critics cuz it's not you have a lot of supporters, but everybody has some level of critics too, right?

>> Yeah.

>> Do you even think about those people or

>>

Yeah. I I love uh reading any type of critical um critical places that come from a place of actual like I guess uh constructive criticism.

Constructive criticism where it could be actually improvement. Like some people that are just genuinely jealous and just straight spiteful and hateful will sometimes actually make some decent suggestions.

Uh true because hey, look, look, keep it real.

They're the reason I started to get the solar panels, cuz they were always complaining, "What's the point of doing this if you're burning energy to run the microwaves?" I'm like, "That's that's a good point." Like, you know, you don't see, you don't see the vision, cuz I'm like, "We're getting rid of plastic." But that's true. Let me just use solar panels.

Um, you know, the critics were the ones who inspired me to go take my thing to the lab to get it tested. The critics were who were who inspired me to start doing the fuel test where I'm putting this in engines, cuz they they'd always be saying, "Well, it'll never run an engine. It'll destroy it'll blow up an engine first try." And I'm like, "No, it won't." But I'm like, here's what I always say. My actions and intentions speak louder than my words. So, I'm not even gonna I I could sit there all day and go back and forth, or I could just show you. You say it's going to blow up an engine. Okay, I'll just go throw it in a Rolls-Royce, in a Scat Pack, an engine worth more than me. We'll see what happens. Hey, you say it's You say it burns dirty or it's horrible emissions. Okay, I'll just go take it to the lab. We'll see what happens. Maybe you're right, maybe you're wrong. If you're right and it is horrible, we'll fix it. We'll figure out what we need to do to fix it. If if you're wrong, then boom. If you say, um, this is stupid because it's already been done before, I'm like, okay, I'm just gonna build one that's never been done before. A solar continuous reactor on a trailer. I mean, you can look it up. If you go look that up on any AI, you will not find anybody doing it cuz it has not been done. So, like, they could say it's been done before, but it literally hasn't. So, that's all I do. I just, you know, I just lead by action because I believe something that we do a lot, especially a lot of people in the black community, is often times we can just talk and not actually do anything. And so I kind of do the opposite. Ah, instead of talking, I just do it.

I I wonder. Yes. Amen to that. Amen to that. Um I I was wondering because you have the the clean skincare line. Is is it the same process because a lot of the well petroleum obviously can be turned into a lot of things. Is it the same process that you're using for the clean?

Absolutely not. And that that's the big irony. So uh my brand Jabaroma where I make all natural deodorant and bug repellent and hairspray and stuff. The whole point of that stuff is that it is free from petroleum because you know I learned the game of petroleum. I learned how plastic is made of petroleum, but I also learned how almost everything in this world is, including almost all cosmetic products, deodorant, like all this stuff. And I'm like, it's messed up because I also know that almost everything petroleum based is linked to leukemia, linked to cancer, linked to blah blah blah. And I'm like, we're putting this on our bodies every day. So that's why I started my brand Jabaroma.

So that's that's the deodorant like deodorant is causing cancer.

Yeah. I mean, anything that that I've heard that before. Microplastics.

Yeah. Anything that's petroleum-based, right, that you're allowing to be absorbed into your skin is always been linked to some type of um tumors and cancers and that's just always been the case. It always has. It's carcinogenic.

Yeah. That's just we know that that's this is facts. So, the fact that it's legal is what's surprising to me. And the fact that there's no good natural alternatives like my natural hairspray that I make, my natural hair and beard spray, there is no all natural hair and beard spray on the market. There's sprays that will say on the front, natural, clean. you turn the ingredients on the back, got all types of benzoates, crazy stuff. And so I started that brand from the kind of the same perspective of Nature Jab where it's like I don't see something right being done and I'm just going to be the one to do it. And I'm also never going to sell out cuz what happens is a lot of brands will start pure, but then they start to get, you know, some buzz, then uh they get some a big brand or investor come buy them out, change the formulas.

I got you. I got you. So, the Rolls-Royce, talk about that. You did an experiment recently with the Rolls-Royce.

That was on social media. You had the girls.

Explain the marketing behind it and explain how it actually worked. Sure. So, uh, uh, this weekend, March 21st, I ran a 2016 Rolls-Royce Dawn, Jabar Westbrook's Rolls-Royce Dawn off of 100% plastene. That was the first luxury engine, the first V12 engine in the world, the most expensive vehicle ever to operate off of plastine. And that's I I'm actually glad you brought up that point because this this event I took a different marketing perspective. Uh usually for all my events of the past, um I'll just purely do all the marketing um where I'm just like, "Hey guys, we're going to run this engine. Cool. Let's do it." But this um I took a different marketing approach because I felt like this was like monumental to do a Rolls-Royce. So, I almost wanted to like give the um the marketing vibe of like this is what we're like the lifestyle of a Rolls-Royce, the look of a Rolls-Royce. So, like for example, in my marketing videos, I would of course have Rolls-Royces in the background. I'd have models in the background cuz I'm like I'm like this is this is a different type of person that we're appealing to, a different type of audience when we're running this type of vehicle. Like a Rolls-Royce owner is a different type of person.

And so, um, for example, when I, um, I had one of my videos where I'm telling people that we're going to do this event and I had a whole bunch of models in the background, and then a lot of my people were actually upset at that cuz they're like, you know, you we Yeah. They're like, you you sold out. They're like, we we we uh would watch the video with or without women in the background. But I was like, um, I hear you guys, but you also are kind of proof that it worked cuz you are commenting, and that's the whole point. And this video did get a few hundred thousand views. But um my perspective was like okay like I understand where you're coming from but this is you know marketing is is psychology and no matter how you put it uh you proved it cuz you watched the video. I mean I put models in the video you watched it and and this is a Rolls-Royce so it's fitting. It makes sense. I think that people may have been upset and seen it as one way or another because this is a a marketing strategy that's been done forever. So, they kind of see it as, oh, he just sold out to like the typical strategies. But, um, I made it very clear that, um, like, for example, the model I did have in my video, I told them dress formula cuz we're trying to look like luxury vibe. Um, and and so from my perspective, I I saw it as a success uh because it got the attention of people. It fit the vibe and also I I liked the way the vision came out. Um, it it very much, you know, to me it almost is like like filming a movie in a sense, like Fast and Furious type of thing. And so I think that uh going forward whenever I do anything type of luxury vehicle, like one day I got to run a Bugatti and got to run a Ferrari. I think that that would just be how we do that for those more luxury vehicles. Um, I think what it was is people always see me as such a people's person. Um, because like you know, I started in my backyard. I um I've run many vehicles that are just common everyday people vehicles. So when even by me just running a Rolls-Royce, it ups at some people because they're like, "Why are you doing this?" Like that's not realistic. We, you know, doing that doesn't prove anything because the average person would ever be able to run a Rolls-Royce. But I'm like, "Guys, I proven that it'll run in your vehicle and it'll run in a Rolls-Royce, you know." So um you know like I learned that from that perspective I learned that you know people will all can always have something to say and even like my own people can be fickle in that way cuz at at some point when I was in the middle of the marketing it actually really upset me because I was putting so much into it. Like this was the the most I've ever marketed an event. Like I was throwing together shoots out here in Atlanta for this and taking so much time just for people to kind of be complaining. But then I realized um it like it really doesn't matter like even my own supporters, you know, unfortunately it really doesn't even matter what people say. Um and I can't take anything to heart to not even too you can't even take the support to heart too much. You can't take the support or the critics too much because at the end of the day you have a certain vision and path that you're doing and as long as your intentions are are are pure does like there will always be times where people where it can appear the perspective can look one way or the other and the intentions are all that matters and I knew my intentions from the beginning was I'm trying to get this out there. I'm trying to raise funds to build this next machine and I'm trying to prove this works in a V12 engine, a Rolls-Royce engine. And you know, whether you appreciate how that was displayed or not, if my vision is I wanted to I want to market it this way to demonstrate this luxury vibe, then I just have to stand on that, you know, cuz people will always have some type of complaint and some and some type of some people always enjoy too, you know.

Taking it off your list. I I got a question. And I think talking to you to you here today, I I think I have the answer, but I wonder it's two-part. Has there been a company that has offered you a sum to say we want to acquire you or merge with you? Right. We see that happen in tech all the time. Yeah. Right. We just saw, you know, Meta and Mannis, right? Uh we saw Nvidia with Grock, right? That somebody's doing something that we need to add to our business. Let's acquire it. Has that happened? And if so, would you ever?

Yeah, it's happened. It happens all the time. And it's actually happened uh on both sides where it will be something more polite like a business would just say, "Hey, you know, like a pyrolysis company. I've got like one of the biggest pyrolysis companies in the world try to buy me on and bring bring me on." And sometimes it'll be like that simple. But then sometimes it'll be like, for example, uh back in December, I was getting notices in the mail over and over again. This company was saying, "Hey, you infringed on our patent. We're going to sue you. You have three choices. Either one, come work for us. Two, um, uh, they said they said, uh, stop doing your work." Or or three, um, what was the third option? It was some nonsense. But either way, I knew it was a bluff because I'm like, "Okay, you said I'm I infringed on your patent, but you didn't even attach the patent number in the letter." So, I was like, "This is whatever." They sent like three letters, uh, certified mail back to back. I kept ignoring it. And then at one point the last letter they sent they were like, "Okay, since you've been ignoring our request, we took off the option for you to come work for us." Like I knew that was what y'all wanted the whole time. So like I get those type of things like like you know some people in industries are intimidated. You know, this this same company that sent me those letters, they were emailing me before emailing me the same thing. And then I get I get these phone calls all the time where people are being like, like I said, like people will legit say things to me like, "Hey, I want to get half of your company for 100,000" or "Hey, you know, they look for any type of situation where they can come in and creep in where they're like, especially when I'm building and I'm raising funds. They're like, "Hey, you want that built? Okay, we we'll get that built for you. Just give me half of your company, whatever." And I I've always said no. uh because just the perspective of somebody approaching me like that already proved they're not they're not the type of person I want to work with, right?

Because you're already approaching from that perspective of purely like how can I make as much profit from this as possible. And I I already know like if that's your perspective, that's not going to work because yes, of course, this can make this will make money. It will be profitable, but that's the the money and the profit from this is the byproduct. I've been investing five years into this. I've invested I don't even know how much money into this. I haven't made a dollar of revenue from Nature Jab. And I and I'm not even upset at that because that was never the goal. The goal was we're going to solve the plastic problem. And with that, I just know and have faith that the money will just come. I mean, we all know it. That's why people that's why so many people email me about investing because it's obvious. If you're literally making 110 octane gasoline from plastic, diesel from plastic that burns cleaner, you're solving two problems at once. you're going to make the money. So, it's like if people would just have some faith, then it, you know, we'd all be okay.

Trillion dollar opportunity.

Yeah. Yeah. I mean, the recycling is a billion dollar industry in itself.

Fuels, trillion dollar. Throw it all together. I mean, come on. And we're not even talking about credits because see, that's another thing of faith because some people want to talk about this or that. And I'm like, guys, listen. There's going to come a time in this day where there is a such thing as a plastic credit. Like how we had carbon credits. When when the world the World Health Organization, the UN, finally catches up to how bad plastic is, you will get paid to truly destroy plastic. I know it. And when that happens, these machines will be the next gold rush. It will be the next gold mine. Cuz companies that don't even care about the environment will get a machine just to be able to get their plastic credit. It will happen. It has to happen because I know it will happen because microplastics are are literally a a pandemic. That's a hidden pandemic nobody's even talking about and it's been that way. 5% of our brains are made of plastic on average. Point that's it's only 2026.

I've seen it first. I went to Bali.
