When it comes to manifesting a new reality, regulation and cultivating a sense of lethal calm is a secret weapon. It's a superpower. And it's a superpower because what manifestation truly is is it's not about changing something in your reality. It's about changing yourself internally so that the natural byproduct of that is different results in your reality.
So a lot of people they look at the results in their lives and they stay in this feedback loop of feeding into whatever their bank account balance is, whatever their job situation is, whatever their relationship situation looks like and they continue to define themselves from what they see in front of them or what has happened in the past and that keeps their state, their identity, their beliefs, their thoughts and their emotions stuck resonating with the results of the past. Therefore, they can't even perceive of the actions that can get them different results. So, a lot of people are trying to take actions from the same old state of consciousness, from the same old identity, and it keeps them in the same old reality.
You can only take action within a particular state of consciousness. So at a certain point if you want to change your results dramatically you have to go beyond the physical and you have to go to the causal aspects what comes before action which is your thoughts your beliefs your emotions all of that is going to dictate your perspective and what you're focusing on. It's going to dictate the ideas that you can even perceive the actions that you can even think to take and it's going to change the type of actions that you take. When you change your thoughts, when you change your beliefs, when you change your emotions, that changes the actions that you take, okay? And then your results change. When your actions change.
So if you if you're continuing to take more and more and more action, you're getting busier and busier and busier and it's not really changing your results too much. Then you need to change the type of action that you are taking which requires you to change internally so that your perspective and awareness can shift so that you can perceive of new actions that are actually aligned with your desired reality. That is why shifting to a new reality requires you to shift into the state of consciousness of the self that is there already first because you are the cause and the physical outcome is simply the effect of your state of being. So you will not see a change in your results, in your finances, in your life, in your relationships until you change your thoughts, your beliefs, your emotions, and then you can change your actions.
Now that's all very well and good, but the question then is why is it so hard to change our thoughts? Why is it so hard to change our beliefs? Why is it so hard to change our emotions and our identity? And one of the biggest reasons that people struggle with changing and shifting internally is because they are in an internal state of survival. They're in survival mode. So, what I'm about to share with you today, we're going to talk about nervous system regulation. We're going to talk about becoming more calm and centered in your body. And you're going to want to like click off this. You're going to think this is not important. It's not something that we usually perceive as important. But what I'm going to give you today is basically the tools to gain back control of your internal operating system, to gain back control of your thoughts, of your emotions, of your beliefs, of your self-concept, of your mind. And controlling your mind is controlling your reality because everything is first created on the mental plane before it can be experienced by you physically. And so if you want to be able to control your reality, you need to be able to control your mind. You cannot control your mind whilst you are in a state of chronic dysregulation. Whilst you are in survival mode, in that state, your mind is controlling you. And 70% or more of people are in a state of chronic disregulation in their nervous system. It is normal nowadays to be in survival mode.
But what survival mode does is it keeps your consciousness trapped in the past and it keeps you in a negative state where you're constantly focusing on the bad. You're constantly focusing on threats and your brain is also trying to conserve energy. So, it's going to keep you trapped in the same old thought loops and you simply won't have the energy or the space in your awareness to step outside of your old thoughts and choose differently. meaning you won't be able to change the things internally that matter most that are going to change your vibration which is going to change your external reality. So I'm handing you in this video the controller back to your internal state back to being able to navigate and change the way that you think, the way that you perceive, the way that you feel. So, I invite you to really take this seriously because if you take the time to go through this kind of more boring, not so glamorous stuff and actually regulate and calm your nervous system, you are going to be able to master yourself, which means mastering your results in your reality.
So, I'm going to explain to you in just a moment what survival mode is, how it happens in the nervous system, but I just want you to get this first of all, how it's impacting your perception. So when you're in a survival state, essentially what happens is your brain at some point perceived a threat. Okay, you have this very intelligent system. It's it's actually fascinating. The nervous system is so fascinating. It's so intelligently designed that perceived this threat and it went into fight or flight mode as a way of protecting you. Okay, so this system in your body, it's trying to look out for you. The nervous system governs so many functions in your body. We'll get into that in a minute. But one of the main functions that it governs is your perception. Okay? And since you were since you perceived a threat and your body went into fight orflight mode, it's only concern until you downregulate out of fight orflight mode is to keep you on the guard and to keep you safe. So it's going to just keep your perception focused on threats. Okay? So in the brain, you can see this. You will not be able to shift into a slower brain wave state when you're disregulated. You will not be able to open up your perception. You will not be able to sink into the subconscious mind. You will not be able to perceive different possibilities. Your imagination will be shut down. Your visualization aspect of you will in large part for most people be shut down. And as well as that, your focus will essentially just narrow because you're in this constrictive survival fear-based state internally. Even if you don't feel afraid, I'm going to explain to you the symptoms in a minute. You might be able to identify if you are in this state. Most people are in this state.
Your perception, let's say this is the quantum field of every possibility, right? Let's say, let's take a tangible example here. Let's say this is a person who person A and person B who lost their job. Let's say two people got laid off from the same position uh on the same day. Okay, person A is in a survival state. They're in survival mode. They're kind of reactive constantly. They're just in that fight orflight tense state. They got laid off from their job and their focus is narrowed only on the negative consequences of losing their job. They spiral into catastrophizing, into overthinking, into self-criticism, into doomsdaying, all of this stuff. Worst case scenarioing, they're thinking, "Wow, I must be no good at anything. I'm never going to get a job again. What does this mean about me? They go into a shame spiral and they think about, well, I'm not going to be able to pay my rent. And their brain immediately, because that's all that resonates with their state is threats and danger, immediately goes to the most dangerous, most threatening possibility, okay? Not taking into account the infinite amount of other possibilities that could flow from this event or this thing that just happened. Okay? So that is how you are interacting with things in your reality when you're in a survival state. You only see the worst case scenario. You only see the bad. You only see the negative. Why? Think about it like this. Okay? Your nervous system is activated. It's trying to protect you and keep you safe. If you were in the wild trying to like look out for your survival, survival mode, right? You'd be looking out to see if there's any predators around you. You'd be looking out to see if there's any snakes or anything. you wouldn't be like taking account of all the beautiful um the beautiful flowers and the scenery. No, you can't do that while you're in survival mode. Why? It's your body, your nervous system is trying to conserve your energy and get you to survive. Its only focus is survival, not thriving, just surviving. So, it thinks it's keeping you safe by keeping your awareness on the worst possible case scenario and the dangers.
The problem is if you're this guy, let's say guy A is John. If you're John and you've lost your job and you're in survival mode, so naturally all you can think about is the worst case scenario. Well, guess what? You are going to stay energetically resonant and vibrationally in alignment with the worst case scenario. You will not be able to open up to all the potential good that could unfold from this event in your life. Argo, you won't be able to manifest a much better outcome or a much better position.
Let's take the example of Eric. Okay, Eric lost the job, but Eric is not in survival mode. Eric's nervous system is regulated. He has cultivated that sense of inner calm. And so, his perspective naturally, when you're not in survival mode, your perspective is much more expanded. It's much wider. You have like some space between you and the event, you can see a bigger picture. And so, because Eric is in a regulated state, not a survival state, Eric's mind is not going to narrow his perception on only the threats and the worst case scenario. No, he's going to be able to take account of the bigger picture. So, even though he might consider, God, maybe like what does this mean about me that I lost my job? Maybe this could be a negative thing. He doesn't have to stay there because he can also see maybe this could be the best thing that ever happened to me. How can I use this as a springboard? Maybe this is this is me being regued into something that's more aligned. You know what? Actually, I've been saying for 2 years that I want to leave this job and I want to go and do something else. Maybe this is my opportunity to do that. Maybe this is finally my chance to move to Bali or whatever. Okay, Eric can perceive and imagine best case scenarios, good possibilities because he's not in survival mode. And the opposite of survival mode is creative mode. You cannot be in creative mode whilst you are in survival mode. Those faculties, your imagination, your intuition are offline while you're in survival mode. They're literally not there for you to utilize because your body thinks you are in the wild running from a bear. Why would it be like, "Yeah, okay, let's visualize your dream life." It's not going to do that.
Before I rub this out, I just want you to remember when you're in survival mode, when you're in fight or flight, when you're disregulated, you are overlooking a whole field of information. You can't perceive it. And that is the information that you need to start perceiving if you want to start thriving and aligning with the best case scenarios in your life. So you can see how when you look after this one thing which is coming out of survival mode and entering a more expansive creative mode, you open yourself up to exponential growth. Whereas when you stay stuck in survival mode, you stay stagnated in old thought loops in stuck in your old energy repeating the same vibration, the same emotions, the same expectations from the past. You can't bring that with you if you want to create a whole new future. When you shift out of survival mode, when you shift your energy and your perspective opens up, you can connect to a better possibility. And that is where you start to quantum shift. That is where exponential growth becomes available to you.
Like even if I tangibly walk you through this, right? John says, "Oh my gosh, this means I'm no good. This means I'm not going to be able to pay my rent. Oh, I'm panicking now. I'm never going to be able to find another job." So, he might catastrophize for like 3 weeks. He might maybe go on a little bit of a a a boozer of a weekend. Maybe he's panicking. He's just stressing about it to anyone who will listen. He's in a spiral of negativity. And he's wasting all of this time worrying, constricting his focus that he he's so drained that he actually doesn't have the internal drive, resources, clarity, or perspective to take action that's going to help him. So he kind of just ends up in this downward spiral and then he does end up in a difficult situation financially and he ends up manifesting exactly the worst case scenario that he was thinking about.
Whereas if we look at Eric who I have half erased here, sorry Eric, because Eric was more proactive. Yes, maybe he was down about it for a day or two, but because he was more regulated in his nervous system and he was able to come back to that baseline, he processed what was happening and he went, "Well, maybe this maybe this could open up to good." Because that thought produces a empowering emotion, an emotion that makes him feel like confident and positive. That emotion triggers him to take proactive steps. So, he's like, "You know what? Maybe this means I'm I'm meant for more. Maybe this means I should put myself out there." And because he's thinking on that level and he's feeling on that level, his body starts taking action on that level. And so he remembers all of a sudden because his perspective is open and he's vibrationally in alignment through his thoughts and emotions. He remembers all of a sudden I had a call with a man six months ago and he told me about this really interesting opportunity. Let me give him a call. So Eric remembers this thing. He calls the guy. John might have had a conversation with someone six months ago as well, but John can't see that or remember that because his energy is not in alignment with it, right? Because he's in that survival state. But Eric can remember it because he's opened his perception. And so he calls the guy, the guy puts him in touch with someone else, sets up a job. Next thing you know, Eric is feeling amazing because he's suddenly got an amazing opportunity lined up for himself, right? And so you see how these two situations, the situation is the same, but the response is different because the person interpreting the situation is in a different state. That is what it always comes down to. It's not about what happens to you, it's about how you respond. And most people are reacting impulsively on autopilot because they don't have the capacity to respond because they are in a survival mode and everything feels like a threat. So they just feel like they're constantly reacting. They have no control over themselves. So that is what regulation will do for you. It gives you the power to open your awareness and respond in alignment with the outcome that you prefer, which that is manifestation. That is reality creation.
So if you're in survival mode, essentially you are in a state of chronic activation or disregulation in your nervous system. You might be hearing about the nervous system left, right, and center. And you're like, "What the heck is that? What is the nervous system?" It's only the command center of your existence. It's the It's like an electrical and chemical system that basically runs your entire experience in this body and in your mind and in your perception. So essentially your nervous system is your command center consists of your brain, your spinal cord and the nerves in your body. Like essentially you're experiencing the physical world through your senses. That's all happening within your nervous system. information is picked up on through your senses and then it's perceived and sent and interpreted through your nervous system in your brain and then those messages are sent out through the nerves in your body through impulses all over your body in like a millisecond so that you can respond physically. So say for example you put your hand on a hot stove, right? The way that you have the impulse to pull your hand away immediately when the heat gets to a certain level is because of your nervous system. It perceives the stimuli of touch through the nervous system. It interprets it as dangerous in the brain and it sends out the electrical impulse to the body in in your neurons to essentially do the movement in your hand to pull that thing away. So it controls your breathing, it controls your muscle movement, it controls how blood flows around your body, it keeps your heart beating, it controls your digestion, it controls your perception, it controls your whole experience of being a human being essentially. And you can do a much deeper dive on the different parts of the nervous system. You've got the central nervous system and the peripheral nervous system. And then you have within that the somatic and the autonomic nervous system. But for for today, we're just going to break it down as simply as possible. And what you really need to know, you have kind of two states. When I talk about your nervous system being disregulated or activated, what I'm talking about is a sympathetic nervous system state. That is what we know as the fightor-flight state. That is when your your system essentially becomes activated. So if you are a healthy human being who is not in a state of chronic dysregulation or survival mode, it's very normal for you to shift in and out of these two states. That's kind of the the optimal way of operating. I actually see an opposite situation where people figure out how good it feels to regulate their nervous systems and then they avoid ever going into a sympathetic state in their nervous system because they think it's bad or it feels bad. You're like your nervous system is there for you to use it. is there to protect you. If you need to go into fight orflight, if you are in a high stress situation, that's not always a bad thing. What's a bad thing is when you are in the sympathetic state and you're not able to downregulate out of it. So, you never shift back into parasympathetic. You never signal safety to your body. You never signal to yourself that this activation, this action, this whatever it is that activated you is now over. That is where you become chronically disregulated and that is where you enter survival mode. So it's not even about being constantly in rest and digest and floating and kumbaya. It's about being able to be activated if you need to be and being able to shift out of activation once the event is over.
Because like I mentioned, when you're in survival mode, you are disconnected from your higher faculties. You are in your technically your most animalistic state. When you're in survival mode, you are reactive. You're not able to access your higher faculties, your creative faculties. I'm going to just read to you some of the symptoms so that you can now identify whether you might be in a state of chronic dysregulation. So, some of the symptoms physically are fatigue, tension and headaches, poor sleep, digestive issues, rapid heartbeat, and sensory sensitivity. So, this is something I know that I'm becoming disregulated when I suddenly just wake up in the morning and I can't like I'm not relaxed, like I need to get out of bed and I feel like I need to move. For me, that's very unusual. Some people are like that, but for me, normally I like to get up and I like to have a little bit of a slow morning routine. And when I feel like I can't do that, when I feel like I'm running and I open my eyes early and I'm wide awake even though I haven't had enough sleep, I know I'm gone into dysregulation. Then emotionally it looks like anxiety or panic, mood swings, numbness, that's a really big one. Feeling really easily overwhelmed. So like everything is overwhelming, even just normal day-to-day friction of of doing certain things. And a constant underlying feeling of stress. So mental mental symptoms are racing thoughts, brain fog, overthinking, feeling very distracted or unfocused. And then behaviorally, this shows up as overworking or staying busy. How common is that? I feel like I'm calling like 90% of you out right now. Avoidance or numbing. If you're not overworking or staying busy, then you're avoiding, you're numbing, you're procrastinating, you're hiding under a rock. Um controlling or rigid behavior. So not being able to release control, like trying to control every little thing either in your relationship or in your business. Having addictive habits. So that's really indicative of being in a disregulated nervous system state because when you are disregulated you feel like you have to self soothe and we'll talk about that in a second. People pleasing. So this the fight orflight state it's actually longer than that. It's fight flight freeze or fawn. Fawn is people pleasing. Fawn is where we're trying to tune to the energy of the people around us and we're trying to get a sense of safety because all of this is to get a sense of safety. We're trying to get a sense of safety from getting people's approval or getting people's validation because we don't feel safe. And another symptom behaviorally is emotional reactivity or shutdown. So, you're really reactive or sensitive or you're just shutting down and withdrawing.
Now, we could go into each of the different states because there's different things you can do for each of the different states, but we don't have time for that today. That's not the topic of this video. I do go deeper on that in my community if you want to check that out. But for now, I just want you to notice if any of that resonated with you and how long you may have been in this state, if it does resonate with you. And then I want you to realize how much potential you've been cutting yourself off from by being in this state. And now by staying in this state, you cannot be in creative mode whilst you are in survival mode.
And one of the scariest things about coming back into a state of regulation is you have to come back into your body. And when you've been dis dregulated for so long, you essentially have been disconnected from yourself and from your emotions for a really long time. So we end up disregulated and we stay disregulated and then we end up just numbing and self soothing. This is why people have addictive patterns. This is why people scroll so much. This is why we binge eat. This is why we have shopping addictions because we're doing everything we can to numb and distract ourselves rather than coming back into our body. Bringing our awareness back into the here and now because it feels too painful for our awareness to be in the here and now because that would require us reconnecting with ourselves and feeling emotions that we've probably been avoiding feeling. And so this is the biggest key I'm going to give you and it's something you can't bypass. The path back to regulation is feeling the good, the bad, the ugly. You have to let yourself feel what you've been avoiding. And this is going to help you break so many habits when you actually start to do this and go to the root cause. And you're going to have to kind of micro dose this and build it up. It's not going to be something you can like one and done and just become magically amazingly regulated all of a sudden. No, it happens through consistency over time. Consistently choosing something that's regulating over something that's self soothing. But this is something that has completely changed my habits. I used to vape, I used to smoke, I used to drink, I used to do I used to eat junk food. And the more connected I became to myself, the more I felt what I was avoiding feeling, the better it felt to be here and now in my body, which is the state of regulation that we're trying to get to in that state of in internal calm, the less I desired to numb and self soothe. I didn't need it anymore. And I remember I was doing this work and I was regulating and I'm going to give you some specific things you can do in a second. But I was doing this work and I was I had given up so many of my habits. It was a long time really really long time since I smoked a cigarette. I smoked a cigarette probably the last time I smoked a cigarette was I don't know six years ago or seven years ago. And I kind of just did it because people at work were doing it. I wasn't really ever addicted but I lost the desire for it completely especially as I became more regulated. And I remember one day I was on the way to the airport and something happened and I was feeling a lot of anxiety and I hadn't felt that much anxiety in a really long time. And there was a woman outside the airport smoking a cigarette. And I got the feeling of desire in my body that I wanted a cigarette in that moment. Out of the blue, it came out of nowhere. And I immediately made that link. That desire to numb and self soothe and smoke a cigarette is there because I feel very anxious right now. So the cigarette only would feel good because it would soothe the anxiety. And so if I want to get rid of the desire for the cigarette, I need to look at why is the anxiety there that needs soothing in the first place? Because if I get rid of the anxiety, the desire for the cigarette is going to go away. Now I didn't the desire wasn't that strong that I actually wanted to go and do it. And if you smoke, no judgment. But this just gave me so much perspective as to why we have the habits that we have and why they're so hard to kick. It's because they're serving us. They are soothing us. They are tending to an emotion or to something internally that we don't want to tend to. It's like putting a band-aid over it. And for a while, maybe that band-aid is helping you. Maybe it's working for you. But the self soothing behaviors, they kind of just give you a temporary relief in the moment. They don't regulate your nervous system.
Okay, so this is where I'm going to distinguish and I'm going to give you some actual practices that do regulate your nervous system. You've got self soothing behaviors that numb and distract you and disconnect you that give you temporary relief in the moment, which sometimes we need that. Okay, that's fine. But they don't actually signal safety to your body. They don't actually regulate your nervous system. They don't actually bring you to a state of calm. What does do that and what does bring you out of survival mode gradually with consistency is regulating behaviors and regulating practices. Okay, so these are really different to self soothing behaviors. Self soothing behaviors are things that disconnect you from your body and from the present moment and from your emotions and distract you and numb you. So regulating behaviors are the opposite. Regulating behaviors are things that make you feel more connected to your body, more present and more grounded. So things like simply naming the emotion, naming where you feel it in your body, that's a regulating behavior. So when you notice you feel a particular way, you go, "Oh, I'm feeling discomfort. Oh no, it's actually maybe a little bit of shame. I'm feeling it in my stomach." That's a regulating behavior because it's connecting to to your body and to the present moment and to what you're experiencing. Another really regulating behavior is breath work. So there's one in particular that I always recommend that I love. It's called alternate nostril breathing. You essentially breathe in through one nostril, breathe out through the same nostril, switch and repeat, switch and repeat. That's very regulating. I love that one. But there's many other breath work practices you can do. There's a channel on YouTube. It's free. It's called Breathe with Sandy. He has I probably thousands of videos by now and all of those are super regulating. He has specific ones on nervous system regulation. Actually another regulating practice is movement like gentle movement like stretching or yoga with deep breathing. Meditation is obviously very regulating. Journaling can be very regulating. Connecting to a safe friend or connection and confiding in them is very regulating. And just in general, giving yourself space and time. If you notice that you're really disregulated, allowing yourself to just pause and take some time to just slow down. That's what's going to regulate you without watching TV, without consuming anything, just being with yourself and slowing down and turning within. That is essentially what is always going to regulate you. Now, you can look up different regulating practices for the different nervous system states. If you're in fight, you might want to do some shaking or some different things. But the the thing that's kind of the key point with regulation is when you're disregulated, the last thing you want to do is regulate. Just remember me saying that it's going to be the last thing you want to do and it's going to be the only thing that you need to do. You've got to realize what you're cutting yourself off from. You're cutting yourself off from the good. You're cutting yourself off from perceiving the full picture. You're keeping yourself trapped in a negative feedback loop that is draining you of your life force energy if you don't take care of this. Take care of yourself and take care of your nervous system.
So, you're going to feel a lot of resistance to regulation. When you're in that fight orflight mode, all you want to do is fight or flight. You don't want to slow down, but it's the best thing you could do for yourself. Guys, I still have to talk myself through if I get into a little bit of dysregulation and I have to take some time to integrate or take some time to slow down. I still when I'm dregulated will argue with myself and I'll go, "No, well, I'll just do this. I'll just I'll finish this. I'll finish that." And I have to talk myself through it and go, "No, no, no, no, no. That's more of dysregulation speaking. That's more of that fight survival mode speaking. You need to shut up, sit down, and relax. And every single time I do it, even though I hate doing it in the moment because it's the last thing you want to do because it feels kind of unsafe because remember this fight orflight mode, this survival mode is a protective mode. It feels like it's protecting you. Every single time I do it though, I realize, oh wow, okay, I am safe. Because what you're doing in that moment is you're signaling safety to your body. Okay? So, you can't signal safety to your body until you do something physically to actually slow down and say, "Hey, you're okay, right? You're safe. We're not running. We're not going to keep running. We're not going to keep fighting. We're not going to keep planning. We're not going to keep procrastinating. We're going to actually tune within and reconnect." That is the moment that your body realizes that you're safe. But you're going to feel resistance to doing that every single time because up until that moment, your body doesn't think you're safe. And the other caveat I want to mention with this, so there's a lot of regulating practices you can do. I really recommend that you make a little list of things that like you just have on hand. So when you notice yourself soothing, you can go, "Oh, I'm scrolling again. Okay, let me go to my list of like my feelgood practices or my regulating practices. Let me go and do one of those." And then see, do I want to scroll after that? That's how you start introducing regulation as your baseline. Right? So that's kind of one component of it. The other thing that is incredibly regulating, you guys are not going to be shocked at me saying this, is shadow work, is healing emotional wounds. Because often times we don't get into a state of survival mode and a state of disregulation because of something that's actually happening in front of us here and now. It's because of something that happened in the past. And that past experience is still living in our body and we're still perceiving it as a threat and it's still disregulating our nervous system. So when you do shadow work, when you do healing that actually regulates your nervous system because you start to release the event from your body, you start to release this experience from your body and then your body can stop perceiving this threat internally that you stored.
I actually have an example of this. So, I was in three quite unhealthy long-term relationships until I met my current partner. He's very healthy. He's very secure. He's amazing. And when I met my current partner, I still had some of the wounds with me from my past relationship. So, this relationship, him being so secure, was very healing for me. It was a great mirror for me to look at the stuff that I was still carrying because I knew he was so solid and secure. I knew that anything that I was kind of seeing, it was a projection of something I was carrying from the past. And so early on in the relationship, it was his first time going like on a boy's night out. Okay? And we were all peaches. Everything was amazing until he went on this night out. And I became triggered in that moment. Why? because I had past trauma of when someone went on a night out in a past relationship, it ended up in betrayal or it ended up in me getting hurt or it ended up in just like weird stuff happening that I wasn't comfortable with. And so my brain perceived, okay, this thing is happening. And even though there was no actual threat to me or to my to my safety or sense of safety in the relationship by him going out, it was perceiving a threat based on a past experience where I did feel unsafe, where I did feel betrayed, right? And once that trigger took hold of me and once I went into that disregulated fight orflight state, my perception went like literally just narrowed in and suddenly all I could see was the supporting evidence that this current partner was now must have been doing something something wrong or betraying me somehow or something sneaky, right? And so I was literally on his story like, "Oh my god," on Instagram like, "Well, he's he hasn't posted a story in 45 minutes. that means 45 minutes ago, like my brain started filling in all of these potential worst case scenarios that were not reality. And instead of me acting on those things, right, what I wanted to do was drive to where he was or call him or do all of this other stuff, instead of going that direction or self soo or smoke, whatever it is that I wanted to do in that moment, I turned inward and I said, "No, no, no. This is from the past. this is from the another relationship. This is nothing to do with him. I have to give him some trust until he proves to me that I can't trust him. Right? And so I went within and I used that as an opportunity to work on that trigger and that internal wound that was creating this feeling of being threatened. And when I did that, I was able to create space from that, integrate it and heal it. And then that that feeling that I was under threat went away. I was able to see the full picture. And then that partner arrived home like literally 20 minutes later and had food for me and everything was fine and there was actually never anything wrong. All of these signs I was seeing when I was activated, they were not reality. They were not reality. So this is what triggers and survival mode can do to you. So working when you get triggered, working with the emotional wounds that are triggered is going to help you become a lot more regulated over time because you won't be perceiving as many threats in your environment because you won't have stored so many things internally that cause you to be on the guard for things that have anything to do with that past experience.
Okay. So to finish, please remember when you are calm, when you are regulated, when you are at ease, the divine energy, the divine creative energy of the universe can pass through you. It can pass to you and through you and into your life because you are an energetic match to it. Okay? When you're in an open expansive creative state, you are in harmony with the creative force that created this entire universe and created you. You are more aligned with the God within you, with the consciousness, that higher mind, that higher aspect of you, that fractal of source consciousness which is you. You are in resonance with that. Okay? When you are in resonance with that, your creative faculties come online and you are able to become the creator being that you were designed to be. Man was created in God's image. So being regulated and being at ease essentially means being in control of yourself, of your state, but also having access to your creative power, which if you're trying to manifest a change in your life, you need that.
Whereas when you're stuck in survival mode, you're stuck in your animal mind, that fight or flight impulse, you are stuck in reactive mode. And if you're stuck in reactive mode, that means you're continuing to be defined by everything around you. You're at the whim of your circumstances. You're at the whim of your bank account. You're at the whim of what people say to you. And that means you are going to stay energetically resonating with whatever is happening around you because you're allowing what's happening to define you rather than you defining what's happening. In that state, that reactive survival state, you will find it impossible to open up beyond your circumstances, to open up beyond the limitations of the past. That destructive state is not in energetic resonance with the creative harmonious energy that's flowing through the universe and is freely available to you if you just get an energetic alignment with it.
So, I hope this has inspired you to focus more on your state and focus really on nurturing your nervous system and becoming more regulated because doing so gives you access to your internal control system. It allows you to have a moment of space between when something happens and how you respond rather than reacting on autopilot. It allows you the capacity to choose how you think, to choose how you respond, to choose what you believe. And that capacity is the most vital component of reality creation. Because when you can choose how you think, how you believe, how you respond changes automatically. And then when you respond differently, the world responds differently to you. So, not only does coming out of survival mode, becoming more regulated, give you access to your internal control system where you can actually start controlling your mind and your thoughts, but it also opens up your energy so that you can access those higher faculties and that divine creative energy that is you, that is a part of you, and that is going to play an integral role in you aligning with the most miraculous, the most expansive experiences that you can align with. And I just want to reassure you if you're feeling like, "Wow, I've been in survival mode my whole life. This is bad. This is terrible. Why am I like this?" Your nervous system has been looking out for you, okay? It's a very intelligent system. It's been trying to protect you. It's been trying to serve you. So don't get down on yourself. Don't beat yourself up because all that's doing is going to create more stress for you. I want to give you this example. Actually, when I was learning about the nervous system at first, I had just gotten two puppies and one of the puppies was very sensitive and I could see when she became when she heard a weird noise in the apartment we used to live in, she would become very disregulated and she would start barking. Now, rather than me shouting at her and telling her she's a stupid dog and why is she barking, why is she like this? I approached her with compassion, with trying to understand, oh, okay, what's got her all riled up? Why is she suddenly so sensitive to these noises? And then I was actually able to help her. So I want you to almost treat yourself as a puppy because I noticed when my dog was in this state, she couldn't hear my commands. She couldn't think logically. She was just thinking about like we're under threat. We're in danger and I need to fight. I need to bark here. Right? You are that puppy. You are that puppy. When you're disregulated in your nervous system, you're not thinking clearly. You're not making sense. You can't like solve things logically. you can't see the big picture. And so all you really need in that moment is your own self-compassion, is your own awareness and validation. You don't need to keep standing against yourself. In fact, that's just going to disregulate you even more and it's going to keep you disconnected from yourself and why you ended up in the state in the first place. So selfcompassion is the last thing I'm going to leave you with. Get on your own side. understand like really try to understand yourself and why you got to this point. That is all for this video guys. I hope it helped. Please remember you have everything you need within you to align with the life of your dreams. You just have to let go of all the noise and tune back into yourself. I love you all so much and I will see you guys next.
