I Asked Strangers Where to Eat in London

Harrison Webb32:00

Transcription

Hey guys, today we're going to be eating at restaurants that strangers recommend. We're going to go out in public, ask the questions. Where should we eat? What should we order? Kind of nervous, but let's get on with it.

Anyone have a favorite restaurant? Favorite restaurant? No. Favorite restaurant? Didn't want to go anyway. Do you have a favorite restaurant? I'm sorry. Business. He's business. He's talking business.

Nah, he don't want to be anywhere near the video. That's how you know. You know what? Some people are genuinely so angry that I don't even want to ask you. I'm like, that woman there, if I asked that, I genuinely would have got slapped, mate. 100%.

Nice to meet you, Rob. How you doing? Harrison.

Harrison, let's go. I have a question for you.

Yeah. Your favorite restaurant in London I want to go to. Where is it?

I'm I'm going to be out the bubble. I've got one in Acton that sells Somali food.

Oh, go. It's nice and cheap. Yeah. Check it out. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. So, go to Acton. I don't know the name of it though.

Oh, but I'm sure there's not that many Somalian restaurants.

Somalian restaurant in Acton.

Write it down. We're going.

Let me Google it. So, we So, we know the name.

Could I also ask?

Go for it. What do I order?

Uh, there's just like a platter with loads of stuff. And the Somalian food's random because I think there was some slight Italian influence as well. You get this meat stuff with pasta, rice, and randomly you just get a banana on the side as well.

A banana on the platter.

It works. It works.

Okay. Oh, that's why I don't know the name.

Sabib.

Sabib. Yeah.

4.8 on Google.

Yeah. Come on.

All right. Sabib. Sabib in a 1.8K reviews. 4.8. I'll take it. We have Sabib. This is a Somali restaurant. This was recommended by our guy Rob. Lovely guy. He said that we can get a platter in here with a banana on the side. Worth a shot. Let's get inside. Give it a go.

We got a second cameraman with us today. So, we are hungry. He's built like a brick. You should see him. He's absolutely sore. Platters. Platter for two people. 45 quid. We've got Somali rice. Pasta topped with paneer. Slow-cooked lamb shoulder salad. Choice of beef. Beef steak or chicken steak. I've never had chicken steak before. Platter for three or four people 60 quid. Or a platter for four to five people 85 quid. Hopefully they serve it with the banana. Also, if you can see, I don't know how we are with filming here, so we'll try and be discreet. But they have loads of bananas. So, I hope we get a couple of them with it.

We're ignoring this for now because this is for the platter, but we've just been given a complimentary potato and spinach soup. Quite nice of them. I feel healthy already. That's actually all right, though. I like that. A bit of carrot in there as well. Oh, yeah. I could back that. Almost like a chicken soup, but with no chicken.

But with no chicken. This is really good. Wa. Damn. I didn't know Somali food was this. This sounds like a dream. We've got pasta, rice, potatoes, peppers. Sign me up. All right, we'll start with a bit of each. What's going on there? Oh, mate, that just falls apart. That look at that meat. I chop up. See, how are they doing, mate? Yeah, she's putting on the plate as well. Yeah, they just chuck it on. Off they go. I am looking just in case I'm doing it right. She said with the rice. Yes, mate. Yeah. Why does that go so well together? Wow. Lamb's good. Banana weirdly really works with it. Goes well. The rice is delightful. Actually, that is the word for it. Very fragrant. Lamb. Spectacular. Potato. We've got some spices roasted in this as well. I do want to try these. Feel like this is going to be a bit brave, but we'll start with the uh the tamarind one first.

If that's the mild one, I'm a bit worried.

Really? It's that hot. That's got a bit of a kick. Tamarind one's good. Very tomatoy, right? Green one with green chilies. Yeah, that's hot. Oh, it's good. They're using some green finger chilies in here. That's for sure. Honestly, with the banana and everything, I think it actually goes really well. This is what 45 quid. This is feeding the three of us. This has actually made me consider having banana with more foods. I'll be back. Rob, shout out to you. You did well.

Come on. Come on. He does not want to be in a video at all. Give it to this guy with a meal deal. Meal deal. Do you have a favorite restaurant?

Didn't watch your videos.

Come on. Harrison, nice to meet you, mate. Favorite restaurant?

Tongue and brisket. Tongue and brisket. Roast beef sandwiches. Best there is.

Roast beef sandwich? Yeah. Well, they're their thing salt beef, but I like roast beef.

I'll try it. Thanks, mate. Cheers. Have a good one, mate.

So, this is Tongue and Brisket. Now, they are known for salt beef, but he said he prefers the roast beef sandwich. Let's get inside and give it a go.

How you doing, mate? We've heard great things that you're known for the salt beef sandwich, right?

I think I know where you are. Let's go. But I've been told roast beef sandwich is the one to try.

Roast beef sandwich? Yeah. I mean, it's good, but so we do our recipe.

Are we getting one of each? We're getting one of each. How long have you been open for?

About coming up 10 years now.

Okay, cool. There's multiple stores or just this one?

Uh, yeah, we've got three. We got one in Leather Lane Market. It's been open a little bit longer.

Sweet and one on Geese Street.

Cheers, mate. Thanks, Harry. Thanks, mate. Have a good one, guys.

Right. Couldn't help ourselves. We had to get two salt beef and the roast beef. We got the classic roast beef sandwich. Then we got the Reuben salt beef sandwich. It's around eight, nine quid a sandwich. This is the roast beef one. We've got Honestly, I couldn't tell you what is in it. We let him freestyle it. Here we go. Oh, I would never get this ever, but I would get it again.

M. You want a bit, don't you?

I don't want No. What is it?

It's a um roast beef sandwich from here. Tongue and brisket.

Okay. Any good?

It's all right.

What value do you like? How much?

I think it was like 8 n quid. Look, we haven't even had that half. We haven't had that half. We haven't touched it. There you go. There's your salt.

No. No. This is roast beef. Honestly, have it. Yeah, it's fine.

We're not going to eat it.

What do you reckon?

Yeah. What are you going the light bit mustardy?

Yeah, it is a bit It's a bit heavy on the horseradish. Have a good one, mate. Enjoy lunch.

Very much. The onions I really like. Horseradish. Not a big fan. Beef quality. I'll give it a four out of five. Another thing with the guys in there, Hoffus and Harry. Lovely, lovely people. Busy in there as well. This is what people are coming for. Oh, don't play about. What's brother doing getting the roast beef sandwich? You got to get this one, ain't you? Look at that. We got some cheese. We got some gherkin salt beef. It tastes like a cheeseburger. This one's good. M I'll get that again. I'm going to go 4.2 on that.

Right, let's go and ask someone else for another restaurant. Guys, do you have a favorite restaurant?

Taro. It's like around the corner in Soho.

Okay, cool. And what would you order?

Uh, a salmon teriyaki bento box.

We're getting it. Taro salmon teriyaki bento box.

Yeah. Thank you so much. Cheers.

This is Taro. We were told to get a salmon teriyaki bento box. I've never been here before. It's bang in the middle of Soho. Let's get inside and try it. Bento box. Salmon teriyaki bento. 20 quid. Why is it 20 quid? We have a miso soup. Got seaweed in there, bits of tofu, and guess what? Probably miso. You can probably tell I'm not the biggest fan of this. So, I'm kind of just flicking through it. But I'm going to have a little dribble of it. A little bit of a dribble of it. No, that's the first one for me.

It's actually not bad. It's actually quite nice. Very salty.

Quite fishy as well, actually. It looks like some spring onion in Oh, that's a difficult one. It looks like some spring onion is in here as well. That's a mouthful, that one. This was £20.90. Not just this. Don't worry, the whole bento box, but you get the miso soup with it. Look at that, mate. Get a closeup of that salmon there.

Crazy. Comes all the trims.

Oh, mate. All the trimmings, mate. What is that? What was that?

A B. That was an edamame bean. I just dropped down the stairs. Well, mind your feet when you're walking down the stairs cuz you might step on an edamame bean. I thought they were going to do warm and not. Just letting you know. Right. Salmon, avocado, sushi. Here we go again. It's not the best raw sushi, but let's crack on with the teriyaki salmon. What we're here for. This looks like it's going to be uh quite a unique one. Yeah. Yeah. That is heavy. That's pretty special, actually. I am getting two slices of the salmon. I would love just like a salmon fillet, but that is a really nice teriyaki sauce on that. I know we're in a restaurant, but compared to the cheapest expensive sushi video we did when we went to that cheap place, the value that you got and the quality of the sushi was top tier. You know, roughly the same price. Shout out to who gave us this suggestion, I think it's really good, I don't think this would be my order is the only thing. As much as I love this teriyaki sauce, I think trying a katsu chicken curry would be the real test. We have located the edamame bean downstairs. So, if you ever come back here and spot it, that would be quite funny. It's down there.

All right. Yeah, we're going to leave it there in case and then it could be a hygiene test. Yes. I don't know what's going on. Oh, is he on a call or is he filming me? Are you filming me or can you be in a vid?

We got to get you on camera. You're a superstar.

I'm not a super You're a superstar.

Way taller in real life than you are on camera.

Let's go. How you doing?

Nice to meet you, man.

Nice to meet you, mate. Harrison, you do a great job.

Thank you so much.

What are you doing around here? There's no food around here.

Well, we're asking you, what's your favorite restaurant?

Favorite restaurant? Got to be Josephine.

Oh, Josephine. I've never been.

Fulham Road and there's one in Marylebone. Bossy French.

Okay. Used to be in Mitchell in house. Now he's there.

What would you order?

Ah, there it's got to be the French onion soup. Top of the list.

Top of the list. And then he does uh snails to die for. Frogs legs that you've never had before. Anything like them. If you've not tried Josephine, you're going to go there. Seriously. French onion soup. Snails. Frog's legs.

Yeah. 100%.

Legend. Thank you so much, mate. Have a good one.

Good work. Thank you. Cheers. Appreciate it.

He's sound, mate. He was a cool guy. Next up is Josephine. This is a French restaurant. I've never been. Always wanted to come. Now, the guy that said to come here seemed like a nice chap, so I thought we had to include it in the video. Let's get inside.

Okay, so we've just been given the menu. I've seen the French onion soup here. £13.50. We've got a nice little view of the bar and I think they do the seafood here, which is quite cool. I'm seeing lobsters in front of me. Dorset garlic snails. £14, I'm guessing, for a small portion, and then £26 for a big portion. And then what was it? Frog's legs. So, we're just getting a bunch of starters. Why is the frog's legs? Okay, maybe they don't have frogs legs. We're going to ask and we'll get back to you.

Little update, we can't get the frogs legs here. They have them at their Chelsea restaurant. Instead, we went for the camembert soufflé. It was £12.50. He was saying they whip it up with some double cream and if you like the taste of camembert cheese, you'll like it. So, I was like, you know what? We'll trust you. They've come over with bread. Nice little filling of butter in there. I just I'm a sucker for warm bread and also this is hard butter. Like, come on. Feel like you Oh, it's not bad bread though. I'm dreading the thought that we're going to be eating snails. And I say we because you're you're getting involved.

I was about think.

No, no, no. We we we we we are definitely eating these snails together.

You're way too proud of that.

I know. That was good. And you you have to admit that was good.

This bread is like too bougie. That actually hurts your jaw. For the first time ever, I'd actually missed the bread. The butter's really good though. That's noticeably good butter. Right. These are the snails at Josephine. Must say I'm not the biggest snail fan. But we are a food chem. We need to try food. We need to not be a baby about it. So, that's why the cameraman's going to eat them first. Here we go. Oh god, they are garlicky. Damn. The man was right. He was like, if you don't like garlic, not worth having. We had some snails in Paris at Escargot, which is apparently the famous spot to get snails in Paris. They were dead. We had to de-shell them. You'd crunch on them and then it was literally like you were chewing on sand. These they've been de-shelled. They're not gritty, just garlicky bits of meat. Honestly, worth a try. You're still not sold. Honestly, that bang them. I actually rate them. I wanted to try this. I want to save the French onion soup because that is actually my favorite. That is like one of the most comfort foods ever. How they've done this, I'm not too Oh, all right. Oh, okay. It's like a scrambled egg soufflé camembert dish.

Wow. Wow. That is indulgent. That that's like the cheesiest creamiest scrambled egg you've ever had. But slightly flavored with camembert. That is very good. You'd eat that up and I know you pretty well mate. This is a bit of a premium place. We've done how much on them? 14 quid. 14 quid. 12 quid for this. £12.50 for a French onion soup as well. Quick math. I don't know about you, but that's about £27 right there. £27.50. No. Let's get on to the French onions. They burn the cheese on top as well, mate. Look at that.

The smell of that, mate. Is it going to burn my tongue? It probably is. It might be here a minute. Off the cuff, it does look like it is a very reduced down French onion soup. It's not watery, very thick, and by the smell of it, it smells quite sweet.

Oh, I'm going to burn my tongue. That is really good. It's on the sweeter side, but this is really, really This is going to remind you of your mom's beef bourguignon, mate. I ain't even had one. When's your mom invited me around for a beef bourguignon? We've never spoken about that for a video.

Yeah, cameraman's mom. I'm waiting for the invite. That'd be good for a video. Finding the best beef bourguignon. Sign me up. I'm I'm going to try and eat a bit of this before you pipe in because this is really nice. We almost didn't come here. So, shout out to that guy literally approaching us. You gave me the push to come here and I rate you for that. Right, let's get on to the next one.

Funny story. I posted an Instagram story saying filming on Carnaby Street if anyone wants to be in a video. As you can see, it's absolutely, you know, it's rammed here. Like, people are queuing. Well, people are queuing up behind the camera, but they've they've tucked around the side. No, no, no. Don't film. Don't film. Just keep it this way. Don't keep it this way. They're around the corner. No, bro. They're not.

Can you be in the vid?

Oh, go. It's quick.

No. Go on then. Go, go, go. Yeah. Um, what's your favorite restaurant?

My favorite restaurant just of all time?

Yeah. Flat Iron.

Flat Iron. Okay. What would you order?

Just whatever special.

Whatever special. Any side. The mash. The mash is the best.

Okay. The special on the mash.

Yeah. Thank you. Cheers, mate. Thank you. Thanks, mate.

He's a nice guy, but we're not going to Flat Iron, are we? We've been about five times. We do like Flat Iron. Maybe we do just write it off and we include it in the video.

Well, we're here. We couldn't turn down the chance of a Flat Iron, you know what I mean? So, we're coming for a special and a creamy mash. We got the sirloin special. That's the special today. Normally it's a mix of anything. It could be a sirloin, could be a ribeye. We got rump tri-tip. Went for the sirloin. Got the mash peppercorn sauce as well. Free popcorn and then free ice cream at the end. Now we know how this tastes. It's such a good spot in it. You just can't go wrong.

Yeah, you're going to be happy with that. Always a good shelf in the mash as well. Beef and mash, mate. Always a good idea. Right, let's get on with the next one.

Excuse me, sir. Do you have a favorite restaurant?

Oh, could I ask? Could I walk and talk?

Don't worry. Favorite restaurant. Where would you say?

Uh, I like a place called Daku's in South Kensington.

Daku's. And what would you order?

I'd order Zurich, which is a sour rice soup.

Okay. And then I'd order a sausage with some potato salad.

Okay. Lovely. Perfect. Right.

Thank you so much. Cheers, mate.

Not a clue what he said. Daku's in South Kensington. He he did not want to stop for anyone, that guy. So, we found the restaurant. This was it. Daku's. I've actually been calling it Daku's Pork Pie just because if you haven't seen the TikToks, it's hilarious. Fun fact, if you've seen Ted Lasso, this is Sam Obisanya's restaurant. I haven't looked at the menu, but we found the restaurant. Let's get inside and give it a go.

Okay, we managed to squeeze in. It's quite an eclectic bunch of people here. Quite classy. We're definitely in South Kensington, put it that way. This is the menu. Daku's daku or Daku's Pork Pie. I guarantee you no one in here knows what Daku's Pork Pie is. We have got the sour rye zurk soup which is £10. And we also can see the pan-fried pork sausage with potato salad which is also £10. Again, we didn't get a reservation. We just walked in. But it is actually fizzy. Also, this bread as well, I've never I want to try like this.

Damn, the soup's good.

Is it really good? Yeah, soup's really good. I thought it was going to be really overly eggy. It's not. Various types of cereals such as rye, wheat, oat, fermented to create a sourdough like soup base and stirred into a pot of stock which may contain meat such as boiled sausage, bacon. I think we do have some bacon in here.

I can taste it.

Yeah. Oh. Oh, we haven't got the sausage. Dried mushrooms, boiled eggs, potatoes, made with soured rye flour. Okay, so it's got like a kind of natural thickness to it as well. Yeah, this is good, mate.

Oh, damn. Yo, the guy was chatting facts, mate.

Yeah, look. So, we've got the egg in there, bits of sausage, then the meat. Really, really lovely. This if it was rainy and cold outside and you came here, this would do the job. I'm never one to say like I love soup, but this is really, really good soup. Now, I want to try this cuz this is like confusing me.

[Music] Yo, me. The man's got taste. I'm not going to lie to you. I didn't think this was going to hit the spot. I thought, well, okay, it's a bunch of people eating here that don't really know anything about food. I was wrong. And I hold my hands up. I was wrong. Really friendly service, really good location, and I hope to come back here and bump into the guy that recommended this spot because without him, I wouldn't have come here ever. Beauty of these videos, we just discover new spots. I will be adding this to the food map. Harrison.co. You know where to get it.

Excuse me, sir. Do you have a favorite restaurant by any chance?

No. Oh, what do you think?

Croatian.

Croatian. Restaurant for my country.

Yes. Here we go. What's it called?

Mugi.

Mugi. Mugi.

Mugi. Yes. Uh, corner terrace.

Corner terrace. P.

P. Perk. Yes.

Thank you so much, mate. Cheers. Have a good one.

Right. Next spot. We are at Mugi. I believe it's called Mugi. The guy was Croatian. And this was all we could find. We're in Ealing Common, right next to the Nando's. Fun fact, that's the first ever Nando's in the UK. Did you know that?

No.

Do now. He didn't tell us what to order. You just said go Mugi. It's the best place in London. Very rogue random order. We went for two espressos, a Greek salad, and a croissant. It's quite nice that they're using Illy coffee. That's good quality coffee. It's a good sign. Yeah, it's all right. I'm actually weirdly in the mood for a Greek salad. I don't know why. I'm in the mood for something salty. Chunks of uh feta. I bet you're not going to have any of this, are you?

No. I'm not a shot. No. Yeah, I knew it. No dressing of olive oil. It's literally just cheese and cucumber. So, one way to look at it, it is a healthy spot. I wouldn't mind a bit of olive oil on it. Coffee is not bad. Bit watery. You just can't beat having an espresso in Italy. Cut to us going to Italy for an espresso. Oh, that would be fun. This one's an interesting one. This one, you know what? It actually tastes better than it looks. It looks tragic. It does look pretty whack, but it's actually not bad. I thought it was going to be stale. It's not. Look, it's all right. I think it's more of a casual spot. Maybe he didn't give me the right spot. I wouldn't be back. But look, if you want a little coffee and a Greek salad, I think it's probably the spot to do that. I don't know anywhere else in London that Oh, there's currently a cow swinging. If you ever want a morning coffee to see some pigs, it's a good shout.

Right, he saw us filming a video and he was like, we come and cook pigs in here.

He take it out. This is Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. And you roast suckling pig.

Four pigs going here.

Four pigs. Four pigs going Saturday, Sunday. You see show here.

Saturday, Sunday, they're roasting pigs and pork and lamb.

And lambs. Yeah.

Right. Maybe we might need to come back. Reality.

Only Saturday and Sunday.

Yes.

Well, he basically saw us filming and then he was like, "Oh, you're filming video." I was like, "Yeah." He's like, "Do you want another coffee?" I was like, "I've had two." And he was like, "Come here. We cook pigs." He's like, "What?" That's why he said this place, but it's only on a Saturday and Sunday, otherwise they're serving bang average Greek salad. Wish we knew that now. If I was speaking Croatian, I could have maybe said, "All right, on to the next."

What is your favorite restaurant in London?

Oh, I actually went on a date there the other day. It's a Malaysian restaurant. Oo, I like Malaysian food.

Honestly, absolutely amazing. Like flavor-wise, and the price is like so reasonable.

What should I order at this spot?

Okay, so there's this I don't know the name, but it's a curry with like some sort of chapati sort of bread thing. Just go there, ask the waiter. They'll know. Most popular dish.

The most popular dish. They will know. And there's like really like fragrant foods. Durian. Durian. The stinky one.

Yes. They actually have a dessert with that. You can try it if you want to or you. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.

Marvin, thank you so much, mate. Appreciate it. One. Thank you. Yeah.

We are at Melur. I hope I'm saying this right. This is a Malaysian cuisine. It's just off of Queensway. Is this Queensway?

Bayswater. Is it?

Bayswater? Queensway. Bayswater station is around the corner. Literally a 30-second walk. I think it's part of a hotel. Not too sure. I've never been here. There's no queue. Let's get inside. It's busy in here, but we didn't make a reservation. We just rocked up. Loads of tables available. They let you draw on the walls. It's all over all over the restaurant that people have.

It's literally every wall.

Yeah. Every the whole place has been literally ended on. Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia's been here. So, it's got to be good, isn't it? Me and the camera man just got some lime teas. This is a traditional Malaysian drink. We believe. He also said a chocolate drink was very traditional. I was like, we'll opt for the lime tea. Oh. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. I could pack that, mate. That on a sunny hot day, that would go down a treat. It's like a mojito tea. So, I think this is what the guy was telling us in Carnaby Street. We were looking through the menu. There was a couple of like Korean rice dishes, but he said it was the one that came with the bread, the sauce, and the chicken. So, we've gotten this right. There's probably no other way to do this apart from just using your hands and getting stuck in. Oh, mate, this is getting added to the food map. This is fire. I went to another Malaysian spot. There's one in like this arcade on Bayswater. They did this and they made out that they were giving this only to me because I was the first table in there. Turns out they gave it to every single person as like a complimentary dish. This is so much better than that place. This This is respectable. This This bread is phenomenal. God, I don't even want to get on the chicken really, but I'm only using a fork because it's so hot.

Yeah, this is fire. This was £12.90. I think it was under a starter dish. If you get this and share this with a cameraman, sign me up any day. Maybe the most favorite thing we've had so far. That's what I'm going to say. Just cleared away the meal that we had. Ordered the dessert. The person did say, "Are you sure you want to order that?" It is $14.80. I don't know why it's so expensive, by the way. Maybe the fruit is expensive. I don't know when it comes out if we're going to stink out the whole place. It seemed like they were a bit reluctant to give it to us. I don't But it's on the menu, so Oh, wo. It does.

Oh, you can smell it. You can smell it, can't you?

It is pungent. I understand why it's maybe um 15 quid now.

Okay. Look, it's actually almost like it is an ice. It's like an ice. The shaved ice. This is cool. Wo. This is uh

Is that the fruit?

So, we move that. That's the fruit. And then we just mix this up. We've got shaved ice beans. Cameraman is covering his nose at the minute. This is quite a lot. I didn't think it would be this much. Let's get this. Okay, so we've got the green bit is a jelly. It's getting stronger. It's pretty strong, isn't it? Okay. What does this taste like? This is a milky shaved ice jelly that tastes like toffee. Toffee caramel. Like a biscuit. Very weird. Never had anything. Okay, I'm nervous to try this. I think we got to do it.

Do it. We're going to have to do it.

I don't know if I can do it, man.

Come on. Oh my god, that's a big big old.

Let's get this. Should we have it on its own?

I think you got to bang it.

Okay, we're going to have some durian on its own, right? It's making me tear up. Wow. Very mushy. Like it just goes to like glue. Honestly, I was really close to gagging when you said you were going to gag and I just had to get it down in case cuz I was like, "Oh, this going to be bad." I feel like you need to try the tiniest bit. If you had the size that I just had, you would have gagged, bro.

Bottoms up, mate. Bottoms up. Ready? It tastes like onion. She Oh, no.

You are right. You nailed that on the head. It's like a mushy onion. A mushy gone off onion, right?

Yeah. When I had the big bite, I was like, "Wo, that's that's tough." The little bite is a little bit easier.

You know when you cut an onion and you get like that onion smell on your hand for the rest of the day.

That's what it tastes like.

That's what's in my mouth.

I don't think I'd ever get that again. But funny to eat and enjoy while laughing for sure. I don't think I've ever laughed so much while eating food. We ain't finishing that. We'll try and get through this, but that's probably going to melt by the time we get to it. So, let's get on with the next one.

Do you have a favorite restaurant?

Uh, I do. I have many though. It's not in Central though.

That's fine. I'll travel. It's called 1910.

1910. Kent food.

We could work with that. It's really good.

What am I ordering there?

You're ordering the carne asada tacos. Yeah. The flautas, the papa. Yeah. And I think they just have they just added something else. It's the alambre de. It's something to do with steak. I haven't been there in a while, but I saw it and it looked really good.

That works. Thank you so much. Cheers. Have a good one. Thank you.

Next up, we have 1910. This is a Mexican restaurant. We're in Parsons Green. They have another one in Balham, but this one was closer, so we thought we'd come to this one. Let's get inside. Check it out.

Okay, we've just sat down. We've ordered three Tommy's Margaritas because we need to set the tone correctly. Very nice outdoor bit. Didn't realize they had this. Nice servers, nice people in there. Um, Tommy's Margarita 13 quid. You can make them spicy. You can swap it for mezcal if you want. You can do an alcohol-free one with Lewis Hamilton's alcohol-free. Alcohol-free alcohol.

0%. 0% tequila. That's easier for 9 quid. Right. Chips and guac. Seven quid. We weren't told to order this, but I feel like it'd be criminal to come to a Mexican and not get guac and chips. Yeah, we come up with that. Cheers.

Up first, we have the fillet steak tacos. They've kind of done it in a hot dish with peppers, onions, cheese on top, four tacos here, wedges of lime. We've got the flautas, which is I believe with the beans, some cheese, and then these are the I can never say it. Carne asada.

Carne asada. Two of them. Feel like I got to start with that. Chunk it on there.

I mean, we just did the finding the best Mexican food video in London. So, if you're going to be like have a Sonora Taqueria and then go to this, I'm like, it's good. The meat is actually really flavorful. That's actually really nice. I'm not sure if I'm sold on the chipotle mash. It's kind of a bit too It actually does taste. I'm I'm kind of like a bit mixed here. That sauce is good as well. That's like a lime coriander dressing of some sort. These This is kind of like a heaven of a taco that you're just going to create yourself where you've got the cheese and everything in there. Yeah, that that seems fun. That one. Maybe these are the tacos to get.

Yeah, cameraman's going to eat that. That's a bit of you. Quality of ingredients are good. Fresh.

I think it could maybe have a bit more going on. It's not the most like Oh, that's really punching through. It's kind of just like a what you'd expect it to taste like. That's fine. Flautas. I'm going to use a knife for this just because we're going to be sharing all of this. Here we go.

Yeah, that's nice. This I'm giving first place. Just a little bit less of the chipotle mash and more focus on the beef. This second and this third. But this is the better value, bit more basic. I feel like you'd probably have to order this one. Honestly surprised about doing this video. I thought we were going to get a bunch of fine dining spots. We didn't. We found some good hidden gems places that I've never even heard of before. Also, if you want to see this video again, let us know. We might do it. Guys, thank you so much for watching. I'll see you next week. Peace out.

Cheers. Later.
