And I got this comment, "Sounds a lot like we're victim blaming." Yeah, and it bothered me. And trust me, we get a lot of nasty comments. They don't bother me.

So I want to point out to everybody the difference between critical thinking and victim blaming. Victim blaming is me saying, "Zoe was wearing something provocative, and in her clothing choice that day, she was luring men to look at her or desire her. And then when this man approaches her, she's flirtatious. And then me saying that's what led to her..." And I'm going over the top with that. That is victim blame, and it is absolutely inappropriate.

At the same time, the entire country should stop for a second, put themselves in Zoe's shoes, and think, "Is there something that would have changed this incident?" And that's critical thinking. "Is there something we could learn?" This is my attempt to taking Zoe Hastings' case and to try to create some positive out of it. Challenge yourself to open your mind and to have some critical thinking skills here. Don't be soft in your thoughts and actions. I'll find you.
