Dave Smith REVEALS How Donald Trump Has SQUANDERED His Presidency

To seize defeat from the jaws of victory, to take this monumental historic victory from a year ago and just have have blown it all there. There's your message right there. Everybody concerned with the economy, you're wrong and kind of stupid. And the real victim here is Donald Trump. Donald Trump doesn't have either the knowledge or the balls to just tackle the real problem. And that is really at the heart of all of this.

>> Dave Smith just revealed how Donald Trump has squandered his entire presidency. And in this clip, he gets into why it isn't the Democrats that did that. It's not Russia or China or any other force than himself. So he gets into why he's seen as a failure even to much of his former coalition that supported him. So let's watch this. Please like the video and subscribe to the channel.

I I want this I found particularly interesting that Donald Trump essentially had his he came in like a year ago. Donald Trump won this incredible election. He comes in with a record his record high approval ratings, the highest approval ratings he's ever had. More importantly than that, I think his agenda was wildly popular with the American people. Donald Trump wins a a year ago. Donald Trump wins every single swing state wins the popular vote. and and even more seemingly impossible or or what had previously seemed to be impossible, he captured the culture, the youth, the energy of the whole country. You know, Jon Jones is doing the Trump dance after he wins the fights. He's he's at every UFC event. Like, he's just he he was with all the cool kids on the big podcasts.

Um, today Donald Trump has his lowest approval ratings that he's ever had. Donald Trump's approval ratings are around I this last poll had him at 38%. He's um he's right around where George W. Bush was after two disrous and an economic crash. And particularly this I thought was was crazy. The biggest shift away from Mr. Trump, I'm reading from the the economist piece here, has been amongst Americans under 30 years old. His net approval amongst that group was positive3 when he returned to the Oval Office. It's now minus40. Now I'm sorry, but like one of the most incredible things that Donald Trump did was kind of win over the youth in a way that like nobody really thought like it was inconceivable in 2016 that Donald Trump would have carried the youth. And yet he was positive three when he came in to office this last time.

He's >> Yeah, it's been a total freef fall for Trump. And I think a lot of that happened the moment he said Epstein who? Why are you talking about Epstein? That lost a lot of his own support base. He could have done a lot of other things that would have, you know, introduced and invited the fire and vengeance of liberals. But he did that on an issue that he promised to bring transparency to and a lot of his key subordinates did like Cash Patel and Pam Bondi. We're now being told, you know, that's a Democratic hoax and there's nothing to see here. But we're going to dig in our heels against this effort led by Marjorie Taylor Green and Thomas Massie to actually stand with the victims and divulge the truth. That's what we're seeing here. We're also seeing it in terms of the economy. Things are unaffordable. You might say that the stock market is about as good as it's ever been. You know, it was about a month ago, actually. But that doesn't pay dividends to the people that can't afford a house. that go to the grocery store the ga to see the gas and uh prices at the at the local gas station. You just can't defend this. And it's been a freef fall, losing a lot of his previous support base that would have supported him otherwise if he would have campaigned and kept the campaign promises when it comes to Ukraine, when it comes to Israel, no new wars. He starts a new war in Iran. There's too many things that he has done to squander this presidency.

It's >> now -40. The future generation was open to this, maybe even supporting this and now want nothing to do with it at all. That is something that's really worth examining. This demographic is overwhelmingly considers what Israel is doing to the Palestinians to be a genocide. and they overwhelmingly hate the levels of control that the Israel lobby and the Israel government have over the United States of America. And Donald Trump's out there bragging about being the most pro-Israel president ever and he's been funded and facilitating the genocide the whole time he's been in there. So yeah, that sure as hell doesn't help with them. Somebody that's >> And why are people saying they're anxious about the economy? Why are they saying that?

>> I don't know that they are saying I think polls are fake. We have the greatest economy we've ever had. we have uh we will have over 20 trillion dollars come into our economy and it's largely because of my election but it's also largely because of tariffs even somebody that's >> and why are people saying they're anxious about the >> so this is the and there's another clip about the economy uh that we'll get to in a second that's even worse but look this is as we Rob we covered this for the entire year of 2024 me and you the entire year this is Joe Biden's economic defense. It is it is identical. It is the exact same thing. This, if you remember, this is what they rolled out for the entire year of 2024. This was their economic pitch. No, you're just stupid. I know you think the economy is bad, but that's cuz you're so dumb. And actually, the problem is just that you've been manipulated to feel that the economy is bad. And look,

>> they've actually been manipulated to feel the economy is good. Dave's exactly right. This is what Biden went with forever as the Fed prints new money, imposes the invisible tax of inflation on all of us while we get into a $38 trillion debt and people just can't afford things. And then the state will still point to the CPI, say, "Look, the CPI shows that inflation is low." when the CPI doesn't even account for some of the most inflationary markets in the world like real estate and uh food and fuel prices. Those are where Americans are seeing affect their lives on such a you know high magnitude that it's just inescapable. It'd be inescapable for any presidential administration. Dave's also right about Israel. this demographic, especially younger people, that Trump is just losing is has had it up to here on the Israel first mentality. And you can say, you know, a lot of those people don't think about Israel. They don't care about Israel. They don't prioritize Israel. And that's right. But that's that's the exact point. They don't care about Israel because they care about their own concerns and their own inability to forge a livelihood in America because of Israel. So more and more have taken notice because of that. But it it is because they don't care as much about Israel that they see that as a glaring piece of hypocrisy in this America first movement. Look at this fancy chart I got here with a big number. 20 trillion is coming in. Like you know it's like look between and I don't know Rob you might know these charts better than me right? But like when you look at whatever the numbers are, it's so goofy. But if you look at like like Barack Obama, Donald Trump, Joe Biden, and Donald Trump, like those terms, so the last, you know, eight or the last uh two eight terms plus this this one year or whatever, they've created what like 70% of the money that's ever been created in the history of the world or something like that. Like you know what I mean? You look at those charts like the amount of money creation. So yeah, you could say look trillions, tens of trillions, you know, all this money, but that's not what people are talking about. So here you have this is the message of Donald Trump, you know, it's like, oh, why do people have such economic anxiety? I don't know. Cuz they're wrong. Cuz they're stupid. Because they've been fooled. And I mean, like, how much do you need to look around, Rob, before you go like, "Okay, um, Israel's getting every bit of funding that they need to to keep destroying Gaza. Ukraine's still being funded. Um, Epstein's still being covered up. Where's government spending? Okay, it's higher than it was the last year." My point basically is, not only do we get Joe Biden's presidency, but we also get Joe Biden's defense for the economy. Like, it Yeah. But even worse, it's the exact same tactics. This is why there's such status quo in Washington. No matter who you elect, you always get John McCain. The spending's higher. And not only is the spending higher, and is Trump shameless about that, he drags those that dare to say, "Keep your campaign pledges, like Thomas Massie that opposed the big abominable bill for adding $5 trillion to the debt." Massie thinks it will add even more because of how it affects the bond market. And it's just it's too much to handle. You know, people have jumped off this bandwagon, man, especially dissident that, you know, back Trump. They probably held their nose to vote for him in many cases, but they're just not seeing it. And you're seeing that play out in this younger demographic that does care about their future in America, that they don't think their liberty, you know, lies over in the Donbos or in Gaza. They don't want that to be the priority. But this is only Trump's fault. He's done it all to himself. He's surrounded himself with horrible neocons like Marco Rubio and Mike Waltz and Mike Huckabe and John Ratcliffe when we were told, "Oh, he learned his lesson from the first term when John Bolton and Mike Pompeo were running things." Well, he hasn't. Clearly, he hasn't. And only the, you know, establishment right could believe and grow to believe that the key to prosperity is more central economic planning and more taxation. That is what tariffs are. It's a tax on the American people at a time where they're already taxed out the gazoo and inflation imposes the most unfair ungislated tax on them. That's where we're at. We're having enough of it. If there was a way to seize defeat from the jaws of victory, to take this monumental historic victory from a year ago and just have have blown it all, you know, just blown it all in a year. There, there's your message right there. Everybody concerned with the economy, you're wrong and kind of stupid. And the real victim here is Donald Trump.

I also got to say there's this quality about Donald Trump that is this uh this energy, this big ball of charismatic narcissism that when utilized correctly is something people really like about him, but then when it misses the mark, it really is an ugly thing. Because that's how narcissism is. It's actually a very ugly thing when you really get a look at it. And so when Donald Trump is um when he's pissing off all the worst people in America, when Donald Trump is the candidate and all the people who ruined the country are like, "I'm very offended by him." Well, now you know he can kind of do no wrong and no matter what brash thing he says, you're kind of on his side because, you know, screw those guys. And then when you know, Megan Kelly's like, "You've said horrible things about women and this." and he's like only Rosie O'Donald or whatever. You're like, you know, it's like, yeah, get him. Um, and you don't even mind a little bit of his own egotistical stuff in there when he's promising to win for you. But it's such a different thing when the question is, okay, you're the presiding ruler now and you're not winning for them. And then he transitions to just bragging about himself, just bragging about the election that he won, just bragging about how nice the White House looks or how, you know, it's like that really does not work.

>> That is so true. The optics of that are a totally different dynamic and they always backfire. I mean, example, we were all on Trump's side when he met made a mockery of Elizabeth Warren for releasing her DNA results for proddding her to do that, showing that we she was 1 1,024th of a Native American. That was an incredible moment. I can't believe he got her to do that, but she did that. It was funny. It was wrapped up in his ego and him wanting to stick it to her. But then when he just obfiscates from all of his mistakes and never takes accountability for them and then changes the conversation to him and how great he is and that you just been duped, the economy is great, you just can't see it. You know, that's the most elitist mindset imaginable, not the mindset we got from attacking stooges like Elizabeth Warren where that appealed to so many people. So Dave's totally right about this. the twisted narcissism of Trump, you know, in some ways was one of his great assets on the campaign trail, but it doesn't matter if he's not going to follow through with the policies that he's using to back that kind of mindset. Like I I just tell you guys right now, this just is not going to resonate. But again, he's to the broader point, he's doing exactly what Joe Biden did during the years of high price inflation under Biden where they, you remember, Rob, where they would pick one thing and they'd be like, "Oh, yeah. Beans are down. Hot dogs are still reasonable. The buns are three times as expensive, so probably you're going to have to go with that buns." But the the dog itself you could still afford, you know, and you're like, "Dude, what are you I mean, this attempt at gaslighting, you know?" I know we made this point a lot. It almost feels like we're regurgitating the stuff we were saying about Joe Biden because Trump's saying the same stuff.

The the the real fundamental problem here, right, and and this is that we and we laid it out uh on on yesterday's show, but is just that like Donald Trump doesn't have either the knowledge or the balls to just tackle the real problem. And that is really at the heart of all of this. You know, we have an empire that we cannot afford to maintain and a welfare state that we cannot afford to maintain. Now, I said I'm really talking about the entitlements. We can't afford any of this [ __ ]. Yeah, he's right about that. And we saw this as a microcosm in New York City. The victory of Ziron Mami, who he doesn't have the right policy prescriptions in my mind when it comes to recognizing the reason for unaffordability. It's the amount of money spent and the money printed that causes inflation as a ripple effect to affect, you know, the most economic vulnerable among us. They don't have the right answers for that. But he was right about the prognosis. That is what Americans are dealing with in New York City and outside of New York City. And Trump's here prioritizing the empire. Empire building schemes in Israel and Ukraine and Saudi Arabia with the Yemen war still occupying parts of Syria and Iraq. Ramping up the bombing in Somalia more than any other time since that war began in the early 2000s. No one talks about that. The empire building schemes in tandem with spending domestically, which is more than the Democrats. It always will be. Republicans are charlatans on spending too. and not recognizing that is the fault of Donald Trump. He could prioritize other issues if he wanted to. He doesn't want to because he's so tied into the lobbyist class, the donor class, Apac, the banks, the military-industrial complex, big pharma, big tech. He's all about that. He's not for you. He campaigned as a populist but governs as an elitist. We're going broke and we're printing the money to make up for it. And this is debasing the currency and it's leading to the prices of everything uh going up. And if you're not going to take on that and you're also not even willing to like expose the stuff that the deep state's doing like Epstein stuff, well, there's there's drain the swamp. That's it. You know, at this point, we're just kind of, you know, there was this old um there was this old episode of uh The Office once where they um it's been a while since I watched this, but they like uh they send like they're filming a commercial for Dunder Mifflin and so they send a crew over to the Scranton branch to go and Michael's very excited because they're like, "You're going to get some creative input on this and he has this whole concept for the the commercial and then they they play the commercial and they're like, uh it's like at the end of the commercial is the branch people waving and they're like, "Oh, that's the part you get to be creative with." Like, you don't have to wave. You could do thumbs up. You could do. And he realizes he can't act, he doesn't actually have creative control over this whole thing. He's got this little tiny splice at the end and there's really not that much you can do with it. And it's kind of like, you say you're going to drain the swamp. Okay, but we're not going to cut the Pentagon, you know, because that's like I believe in a in a larger Pentagon budget.

>> Yeah. He didn't believe in draining the swamp. He believed in placating the swamp. That was true since his first term. It's even more true now. You can see this from where his priorities lie. They lie with considering the borders of Ukraine and Israel sacrosan. They lie with funding a genocide in Gaza. They lie with continuing a starvation blockade in Yemen. They rely on corporate welfare to the biggest corporations in the world under the big abominable bill scheme. That's where they lie. They don't lie with me and you. He could address these problems with spending if he wanted. Those are very popular messages that Doge brought and Elon Musk brought. Every poll reflected the popularity of that despite the hysteria of the mainstream media on that. But no, Republicans aren't serious about that. Neither is Trump. Trump never was serious about cutting spending. And the $2 trillion in projected Doge cuts was a total fraudulent promise, too. That was just an electoral vic victory vehicle. That's all that was. It wasn't a serious pledge. Like, okay. Also, I won't touch entitlement programs cuz I don't want to lose the votes of senior citizens. Like, okay. Also, I won't really release the Epstein information because, you know, I don't want to upset powerful people or maybe I'm protecting myself or whatever. Um, also we're not really going to prosecute Obama even though we said we have the proof that he's guilty of treason. Als at at a certain point you're like, well then what are we even left with here? What is drain the swamp mean? And it means what we're seeing, Rob. We got Chanty Bilips. An NBA coach was gambling on NBA games. All right. You know, that's that's the type of [ __ ] we got. But again, as I've made this point before, Rob, what is J D Vance going to run on after this? Like, what once you've said that, what's what's he gonna say? Like, now, seriously, this time, we're really going to drain the swamp.

>> Yeah. after two terms of being associated with a guy that didn't do it. I guess he wasn't associated with Trump's first term. But yeah, I mean JD Vance has maintained a pretty quiet sensibility, pretty quiet demeanor, but backs this administration as you would expect most vice presidents to do. But this is going to tarnish him if he has as you he has aspirations. Let's just be real about that. But yeah, the FBI took down Chanty Bilips when we were promised the Epstein child sex trafficking ring, which by the way was likely part of an intelligence operation, a foreign blackmail operation by Israel. And we know more and more about Epstein's direct connections to Israel and brokering security agreements between Israel and Mongolia and Israel and the Ivory Coast. And also the fact that he literally arranged a wire transfer to one of the top spies in Israel that was broken by Ryan Grim and Martaza Hussein in an article this week. We know more and more about those things despite the cover up and despite keeping the weapons flowing into the hands of Zalinski and NATO for empire building schemes against the Russian Federation. It's not something we would prioritize, especially if you're a young person again wanting to make ends meet and $200 billion dollars has been thrown over to Ukraine when it sure seems like that could go a long way as a tax cut back here or a tax credit for people having trouble making ends meet and it being even worse when they go to the grocery store or the gas station and seeing the ramifications of this government. I'm sorry. Nothing about the stock market will plate those people, especially when the stock market, you know, is manipulated so much by the corrupt financial regime and the Federal Reserve and corporate welfare and subsidies and regulations that keep smaller companies from competing with the giants. Nothing is going to help people unless Trump resets his priorities. And I don't know, I don't know if he can regroup at this point. He seems to be too owned by the elite donor class, not only the Apac and Israel lobby, but other big big corporate and big lobbying institutions as well. But what do you think? Is Dave Smith right about this? Is this really a historic squandering of Trump's historic victory in which he literally won all the swing states in question in 2024, just a year ago, where we're sitting right now. Can he pivot from this? Can he get away from this? 3 years is a long time, but it seems like the trajectory of this thing is totally beyond what even those of us with low expectations thought it would be.
