[Music] so [Music] so [Music] more than ever Christian, we need to know the Bible. And there's no substitute for the Word of God. In fact, it is the very thing that is going to keep you and I on the straight and narrow path. When the Bible really dictates to us our own opinions, that's the most important thing. The Bible rules all. Today, we're going to be talking about some things that are creeping into the church, false doctrine that is changing the view of the American church as how it looks at Israel. Much of it's called replacement theology, but it's even taking even uglier overtones that we're going to look at today. So, as you grab your Bible and get ready, as we have with us a good friend from Israel, Amir Tsarfati, will be talking about the issues of the church, of Bible doctrine in Israel, in light of the days that we're living in.
[Music] You can't turn on the news without hearing about Israel, Jerusalem. God has promised in His Word. In fact, I think it's awesome, and I've heard you speak about it before. In Jeremiah 31:31, God introduces the nation of Israel through His prophet Jeremiah, that there's going to come a day when they will be actually technically born again. The Spirit of God will come inside of the Jew, just like many of the Gentile world is experiencing today. Talk to us about God's new covenant that He promised in the scriptures, and then we'll just go from there about the significance of Israel in the world at this time, and how it relates to the entire globe, for that matter.
When Jesus came, He came predominantly to speak to the people of Israel. He says, "I came to the lost sheep of the house of Israel." The fact that they rejected Him then was something that God obviously knew, right? It played a great role in the way Gentiles were able to come to know the Lord. In Romans 11, He says, "Through their fall, through Israel's fall, salvation was actually given to the Gentiles, right? In order to provoke them to jealousy." However, we know and we see a great promise in the scriptures, given in Romans 11, but quoting Isaiah and Jeremiah regarding the day that "all Israel will be saved." That's right. Jeremiah said that He will give the people of Israel a new covenant, which is the new testament in the Hebrew language. The new, seriously correct. In the new, when I said Jeremiah, the verbiage in the Hebrew, new testament, yes. But Jeremiah, the verbiage of the Hebrew is announcing new testament, correct. The Bible says in the Hebrew language that the day will come, and He, God, is going to give Israel a new testament. Wow. And it's interesting because even in the book of Hebrews, He talks about it. He talks about the fact that why would He give a new testament? And He quotes Jeremiah in Hebrews, when there is an old one. Wasn't the old one enough? So it's amazing to see that Israel, through the prophets of Israel, were promised the giving of a new testament, a new covenant, where it's no longer going to be the covenant that He cut with them as He led them out of Egypt, but now it's going to be written and engraved on the plates of their hearts.
You and I, of course, you, I've had a wonderful experience also of witnessing to Jewish people, and you talk about these things, and if you could see the veil that Paul spoke about, you can almost hear it come over their eyes when you get to this point. God gives the law to Moses, first time around, revision one, yes. He comes down, they're broken because of the sin of the Israelites. Then a second set of Ten Commandments is given with other instructions, blood sacrifice, right? Blood sacrifice. And here in the Old Testament, it's introduced that this, this sin must be covered by innocent blood, preparing them for that new testament. Exactly. Absolutely awesome.
So, listen, as we talk about this, the future of Israel, though they have some tremendous, well, Jesus said the tribulation period that's coming for the nation of Israel will be unlike any other time in the history of man. It's going to be Israel's darkest hour. Even the Holocaust will pale. That's right. Hard to imagine. But out of such darkness, the Lord will return. We know this. The kingdom age will be established. Jesus's throne will be in Jerusalem. He's got to sit on the throne of David. He's never done that before. He's not doing it now. Jesus must return as a king, as a king. So we know that's going to happen. So Israel's future is bright, though it's got some dark days ahead, all of that, those to get them to see.
But Christians, Amir, you and I have talked a lot about this in private. I'm so grieved over, and I say this lovingly, I'm so grieved over the biblical ignorance of Christians in America, in the world today, that think God's done with Israel. And in fact, they've inserted the church where Israel is, and they have embraced a devilish, demonic doctrine called replacement theology. Talk to us about it. It infuriates me. I truly believe that you have to go back to the moment. We have a description in the Bible of who Satan is and what Satan is all about. The Bible says that he wanted to be like the Most High, and he's out there to weaken the nations, to deceive the nations. We see it both in Isaiah in describing Satan, we see it in Revelation when he's going to be thrown down to the pit, to the bottomless pit, so he will deceive the nations no more. And the minute he's released for a short time, he goes out again to deceive the nations. So number one, Satanic goal is to deceive. And what is it to deceive? Is when you know the truth, they're misleading, and you mislead someone purposely. Yeah. And so I believe that there is a strategy in Satan's plan to deceive both the world from seeing that Israel is a problem, seeing that Israel is the target, the target. And then that unexplained hatred towards Israel from day one, from the moment they were coming out of Egypt by Pharaoh, who wanted to kill them. Yep. They did nothing to him. That's right. To the time that the Amalekites on the way to Israel, all those nations in Israel, and all those empires along the history, they utterly wanted to destroy the Jews for no reason. That same demonic spirit is what drove the 1930s and 40s regarding Hitler's doctrine. Exactly. And it's resurfacing today, and it is absolutely amazing to see what's going on. You will not get rid of it. You will never get rid of it until the final victory that we're going to have when Jesus will establish His throne in Jerusalem. That's it. So we learn to live with it. In fact, when we say, "Pray for the peace of Jerusalem," are we not asking for His return? For His return? Correct. The Prince of Peace will come and give us finally peace. But Daniel said in Daniel 9:24-27, "Until then, wars are determined." Exactly. Amazing.
So, awesome. The interesting thing, we already learned to live with the hatred of the world. The problem we have more is how do we deal with those who were born out of the Judeo-Christian faith, yet now turn against Israel and preach that anti-Israel message in churches where the Bible is completely distorted. So, as a pastor, in fact, forget about that part, being a Christian, I remember just being saved, coming to the book of Romans, and I got so excited because in Romans chapter 2, verses 28 and 29, it says there that a real Jew is someone who's been circumcised in the heart. I got so excited about that. I went out and I bought a Star of David. I didn't know what I was doing, but I felt an affinity with the Jewish people and with the dirt, with the land of Israel. But today, we're hearing from pulpits that God's done with Israel, that Israel is the occupier. We're hearing that a lot in Christian churches. I never thought I'd ever hear that. And there are now Christians believing that the Jews are the problem. Exactly. And they're hearing from their churches by some very famous pastors in America that Jesus is a Palestinian, that Israel is the occupier. And I mean, it's blasphemous, in my opinion.
What, what do you want to? It's amazing. When Satan was attacking Christians physically, they were reunited. So he decided, okay, plan B, attack them from within by spreading poison inside in the theology. Sure. And that will cause them to obviously dissolve. And that's exactly what happened, starting from the first century and on. You can see that which Paul was against and warned us that it can happen that God might be perceived so far as someone who forgot all about Israel because of the favor that He showed and extended towards the Gentiles. And so that's not because you forgot about Israel. In fact, in fact, without their rejection, you would not even be able to embrace Jesus and the new testament. Revelation of the reality was prophesied in the Old Testament. Exactly. Exactly.
But the interesting thing is that that horrible doctrine, that replacement theology, that God has done with Israel, Israel is no longer God's people, all the promises of God to Israel are now obtained by the church. It's so demonic that it led the church to compromise in so many other areas as well. Of course, everywhere around the world where I travel, and I know a lot of ministries that unfortunately started well with Israel and they supported the cause and everything. And the minute they pulled their support and they became very lukewarm, to the point of being called towards Israel's cause, you can see the compromise being done also on in other areas in their biology. I've watched good churches receive that bad doctrine, and the first indicator for me was that their view changed regarding Israel. Which, which again, you know, listen, in the context of what we're talking about, do we believe the Bible? If we say yes, then the Bible says in the last days, perilous times will come. Do we believe that or not? The Bible says that there will be doctrines of demons propagated. The Bible warns us. Paul said there'll be predators in the pulpits, things will mislead us from within. What's interesting to me is people who are embracing these things don't even quote those verses, study those verses. They've given up on those verses. Why? Because, exactly as we said earlier, Satan gets in from the inside with bad doctrine. The leaven begins to leaven the entire lump. And we see that happening, which we know from history, that a church in name only, embracing bad doctrine, is actually a tool used to bring about persecution against the Jews. We're starting to see that now. We see that all over.
What really saddens me is that it happens in America, the land that was all about changing all the twisted and distorted doctrines of the Dark Ages and bringing back the foundations of the Bible. And the support in Israel by American presidents was founded on biblical principles, and not because they fell in love with the Jews or with Israel out of the blue. It was deeply rooted in their understanding of the role of Israel. That's a fact. In fact, Samuel Adams, the spirit, he was known as the Spirit of the Revolution. Samuel Adams, tragically, we're so stupid in our history now, people think Samuel Adams is a beer. Samuel Adams is the Spirit of the Revolution. And Sam Adams wrote in his own diary, you can read this, he said, "We liken our cause to that of God bringing Israel out of Egypt into the promises." And he equated throughout his writings that God was doing a new work for America like He had promised to Israel. It's amazing. Our founding fathers didn't give up on God's promises to Israel.
Which leads me to this very, very volatile issue among those who are church leaders. Tragically, most of the church doesn't know about this thing called Christian Palestinianism. This Christ at the Checkpoint conference, the Sabeel conference in Bethlehem. It is a gathering of anti-Israel Christians who have responded to an invitation by Islamic theologians, banding together with the church to come against Israel, boycott Israeli products, when they go to Israel, go to only the Palestinian regions. But here we see it taught in America's churches, Christian Palestinianism, even on our own university campuses. Amir, close by, they host the apartheid wall, that Israel's the aggressor, the Palestinian is the victim. Let's spend the rest of our time talking about that doctrine and what's happening. I want to, I truly am amazed at how big it is here in this country. The thing is this, when you stand on the side of the Palestinians, either you don't really know your Bible, or you were deceived to, you know, to think that the truth and the facts in the Middle East, they don't matter anymore. I mean, they don't let even facts confuse them. They're saying, "Jesus was born in Palestine, thus he's a Palestinian." Not in Israel. The name Palestine was given to the land in 135 AD by Hadrian, totally slammed, but 100 years, more than 100 years after Christ's crucifixion, right? The name was given. How could it be that Jesus was a Palestinian, born in Palestine, when there was no Palestine? Go to the Bible, right? When the angel called Joseph and Mary to come back from Egypt with Jesus, the Bible says, "To the land of Israel." Exactly. That's what the Bible says. Exactly. So either you change something in the Bible, or you don't know the Bible. But something must have happened along the way.
Well, then, listen, how do I, how do I share? Tell us, how do I share with the Jewish people in my life? How do I lead them to Christ, Yeshua HaMashiach? How do I do that? It's very simple. Stop using New Testament verses. Amen. Because, and I will tell you the truth, I came to know the Lord Jesus without even reading a single verse in the New Testament. It is the Old Testament prophecies that led me to. Once I read the New Testament, it was clear to me. This is the fulfillment of what I already know. That's right. But because they don't hold it as the Word of God, because they don't believe it's for them, use the Old Testament. Use the promises of God to Israel. Use the prophecies that God gave to Israel, even regarding the new testament, regarding Messiah. Isaiah 53 was the biggest thing in my life when I turned eight. To know that Messiah came and took the sins of the world upon Himself. "All of us went astray, and He put upon Him everything." Unrehearsed. Like this whole thing is. Let's just do that right now. Zechariah 9:9, Israel's Messiah would come in, right? Right. On the back of a donkey. Micah 5:2 would say that the Messiah of Israel would be born in the city of Bethlehem. Correct. Keep going. Isaiah, Isaiah 9, Isaiah 11, Isaiah 53. These are all prophets. And Jeremiah 31, the new testament. To me, when you come to a Jew and tell him, "Messiah had to die for your sins. He had to be born in Bethlehem to a virgin. And He had to be part of something new that God is giving to the nations of Israel." Proverbs 30, verse 4. Yes, God has a Son. And God, you should know His name. And His Son's name. God said this. Exactly. Proverbs 30:4 says, "God has a Son." I remember the time we read that in Israel. And all I'm saying is that it's all there in the Old Testament. So they don't have to show your knowledge of the New Testament to people that don't hold it as the Word of God anyway. But more so, identify with them. More so, show their your love to them based on scriptures, and then, and the God of Israel, and not based on charity or based on goodwill of a good organization. You must understand that the love for Israel is a supernatural. That's right. We're not the most beautiful country in the world. It is the Holy Spirit. And if you don't come with that attitude, yep, you will miss the point. Yep.
Real quick, I really appreciate what you're saying. And I don't know if you know what I'm going to say right now regarding this, but I really appreciate what we've been talking about right now. Here's the reason why. Two reasons. Number one, we've been hearing, I've been hearing from more and more people that there are those in church leadership in America that are saying, "You don't need to read the Old Testament if you're not a Jew." Watch this again. I believe this is part of the demonic doctrine of our age. If you're not a Jew, you don't need to read the Old Testament. So don't worry about it. If I don't read my Old Testament, like you said earlier, I will never be able to appreciate the New. When a pastor says, "You don't read the Old," the Bible says, "All the promises of God are yes and amen in or through Christ." Right. Amen. So the second thing is this, how demonic would it be for Satan to continue to launch his attack against the Jewish people, to take the only witness on earth that we're to be provoking them to jealousy by our love of their Messiah, then to turn us against them and to tell us not to read the Old Testament so we would never evangelize the Jew? When are we as Christians going to wake up to the demonic atmosphere that is permeating churches today? All because they've gotten away from the systematic, verse-by-verse teaching of the Bible. If you get away from that, you can sow any kind of seed of deception. And to be honest with you, not only that, it's tragic. It's tragic because it causes people not to deal with the Bible thoroughly anymore. To be honest with you, how can you teach the book of Hebrews without teaching the Old Testament? How can you? I don't even know Revelation. Exactly. I don't understand. How can you even understand the New Testament without first knowing the Old One? The Old One is concealed in the New One, and the New One is revealed. That's right. What we see here is that one goes with the other. You will never see in the sun on a sunny day someone without a shadow casted. That's right. You'll never see a shadow without the substance coming. The two are coming together. Yes. This one is the substance, and this is the shadow. But there's a reason God gave that shadow first, and there is a reason why the shadow is coming first, and then the substance is there. And once the substance is there, Jesus never even said one word against the Word of God. He said everything against those who supposedly preach the Word, but they never really, or they replace the Word with the traditions or the teachings of men. You know, look at Matthew's Gospel. Matthew's Gospel, which presents Jesus in His lineage, which presents Him as King. How many times in Matthew's Gospel does Matthew, Levi, a Jew, say, "And this was done that it might be fulfilled, which was spoken of by the prophets"? Exactly. The New Testament church, up until what, maybe 80 AD, had nothing but the Old Testament. I said, Jesus never taught from the New Testament, even one sermon. Exactly. No, sorry. Absolutely awesome. And Jesus, by the way, was not a Christian. That's right. He was a Jew. I mean, He was a Jew. His followers are Christians, but He was a Jew who preached from the Old Testament only. Not that I underestimate anything else, but I'm saying it's as important. And you don't underestimate the Old Testament. You don't put it under. It's part of the Word of God. Somebody walks only the New Testament walks with half of the Bible.
So, how about this? Let's, let's end this interview with a, with a blaze of controversy. How about this? All right. A real Jew, because the root to the word Jew, Jude, if your name is Judy, is to praise God, a praiser of God, a worshiper of God. Somebody might say, "I'm a Jew." Ah, but do you worship God as revealed in the scriptures? If they're, if they don't, then they're not a real Jew, right? Think about it. A Jew is a spiritual DNA. That's why there is now no wall of division between Jew and Gentile, but we're one in Christ. We're believers because the spiritual DNA trumps the blood DNA before the throne of God.
