Andy Burnham becomes Prime Minister on Monday. He's been an MP for less than a month, parachuted into Parliament, installed as Labour leader. No democratic process. Won't take any questions from the press. England's been so busy crying about the World Cup, it's inadvertently slipped into a left-wing dictatorship. Whoops.
If you're on the right and you didn't back Reform in the Makerfield by-election, now's a good time to slap yourself. Burnham received rapturous applause at the Trade Union Congress in London yesterday from a room full of assorted cronies who all need their hard drives checked and their armpits deodorized. He says he wants 10 years to transform Britain, but he hasn't said what he wants to transform it into. Presumably North Korea.
Looks like he's got a great team lined up for his cabinet. Shabana Mahmood for Chancellor, who apparently is qualified to manage the economy because she once served behind the counter at her dad's corner shop. Angela Rayner for Health Secretary, who of course fiddled her stamp duty and should have been kicked out of her parliamentary seat in disgrace, not entrusted with a multi-billion pound budget out of taxpayers' pockets.
Burnham finished his torpid so-called victory speech by dad dancing on stage to some 1980s synth-pop whilst again proud applause filled the room as if this wasn't a gathering of people who'd conspired to ruthlessly stab Starmer in the back, enact a grubby coup, and install an illegitimate hard-left government that Britain neither asked for nor wanted. Burnham stood there and promised change, but at this point I'll be surprised if this latest globalist puppet could change a toilet roll, quite frankly.
To be fair, I suppose Burnham is a pretty good name for someone who's about to reduce Britain to ashes. Well done, Andy. Didn't take any shortcuts, didn't screw anyone over, earned it the hard way, didn't you, mate? The reality is it's over for Burnham before it's even started because he doesn't have the guts to call a general election. He knows he's been parachuted into Downing Street. He knows he has no legitimacy or credibility. He doesn't have the confidence to go to the polls and ask the nation to back him because he knows that they won't. He knows he doesn't have the support of the British people.
Every decision he makes, every word that he says will be torn to shreds because if there's one thing Britain hates, it's a lack of merit and fair play. He's cheated his way into power and that is repulsive to every right-minded person in this country.
