[Music] people ask how do I know that I'm really forgiven or how many times can I sin before Jesus just says okay I've had enough of this person but the bottom line is the Forgiveness of Jesus it never runs out and it doesn't run out just because you're so good the reason why he is always forgiving the main reason really is because of his role now as high priest you see we know that Jesus is a king the ultimate King but he is also according to the scripture the ultimate high priest and when you study the way high priests function they live to forgive that's why in Psalms 110:4 it talks about how the coming Messiah would not only just be a king but he would also be a priest the high priest let's check it out Psalms 110:4 the Lord has sworn it will not change his mind you are a priest forever in the order of MDC this is talking about the coming Messiah and it lets you know that he is not only the king because Psalms also says the Messiah will be the king but it lets the reader know that the Messiah will also be high priest like MDC now MDC that's a very powerful subject and we're going to get into that one day in a video to come cuz that will blow you away but we're not going to get into MDC right now but I want you to remember Psalms 110:4 the Messiah is a high priest and the reason why that's important is because everything in the Old Testament about high priests all the the rituals they had to do all the things that were written down that they were about it wasn't just written because it was a good cute story it wasn't written in the way that it was in The Book of Leviticus because it sounded neat all of the things in the Bible that was said about the high priests and how they function was all written exactly and precisely the way it was to foreshadow and parallel prophetically what the ultim high priest Jesus would do for us so that's why we're about to get deep right here in the scripture and you're going to see why Jesus is so forgiving and we're going to just go through the role of the high priest so just a little background where did the whole role of the high priest come from well in the Old Testament when God freed the Israelites from Egypt they wandered in the wilderness and God didn't just want to free them from the Egyptians he wanted to have a relationship with them but in order for the Israelites to have a relationship with God they would have to be holy because God is Holy and you can only have a relationship with him and enter his presence if you too Are Holy but there's a problem it's impossible for humans in this life to ever be holy enough to stand before God in a good relationship so therefore in The Book of Leviticus we see that God created sacrifices he created Tabernacle and he created the role of the high priest and these were all designed so that the people the Israelites could be free from sin so they could have a relationship with God
high priest fact number one the high priest was the only one who could enter into the sacred room called the holy of holies so what is that well in the Old Testament God had Moses built a tabernacle and the Tabernacle is basically a huge tent that would sometimes have the presence of God in it God's presence would come into the Tabernacle and in the Tabernacle was a special room a sacred and holy room called the holy of holies and in this room this is where the high priest would come and bring animal sacrifices the blood of animals into the room and he would bring it once a year on the day of atonement and this would represent the sins of the people and once the high priest brought this animal sacrifices into the room basically for the whole year the people would be free from sin and then they could have a relationship with God they would be pure before God so how does that relate to Jesus well according to the Bible everything that was written about the high priest entering a sacred holy room with blood and the sacrifice to make people free from sin all of that was written to point to Jesus and it makes sense the Bible says that Jesus instead of going to the holy of holies with the blood of goats and animals he used his own body his own blood and he didn't enter into the holy of holies that was built in a tent no he went to the alt meant holy of holies the throne room of God he went to the throne room of God and took his own body his own blood on behalf of us and he didn't do it just once a year like the Old Testament high priest did he did it for eternity he did it one time and that's the only time he'll ever have to do it which means that just as the high priest allowed the people to be free from sin for a year you are are free from sin forever basically his death was the ultimate day of atonement look at Hebrews 9:7 see the book of Hebrews really breaks down the parallel between the high priest and Jesus as the ultimate high priest and in verse 7 it says but only the high priest entered the inner room and only once a year and never without blood which he offered for himself and for the sins that the people had committed ignorance verse 11 but when Christ came as high priest of good things that are now already here he went through the greater more perfect Tabernacle the one not made with human hands that is to say not the one of this creation and he did not enter by the blood of goats and calves but he entered the most holy place by his own blood obtaining Eternal Redemption
[Music] ion that's amazing now the second role of the high priest in the Old Testament they would offer a sin offering and a peace offering the sin offering represented the removal of sin and the peace offering represented the people having a new relationship a relationship of peace with God and here's something amazing the peace offering before it could be offered the people would have to eat of it it was the only offering that the people could eat of and the reason why they would eat of the peace offering first is because it represented how they were taking part of this new life of purification now think about this before the offering would be made the people would eat of it and they ate of it because it represented them taking part of a new life and then the high priest would offer the offering there's Revelation in that notice how Jesus said before he was to offer his body on the cross he told his people he said you must eat of this offering what was the offering he said you must eat of my body this is why we have the Holy Communion because symbolically it represents us eating and taking a part of the offering of Jesus's blood and taking part of a new life in Christ and the awesome thing is when they in the Old Testament ate of the peace offering before the high priest offered it they ate of an offering that represented their purification that would only last a year but when we take part in the Holy Communion we do with celebrating a purification a Holiness that lasts forever check out Hebrews 9:28 so Christ was sacrificed once to take away the sins of many just once and he will appear a second time but not to bear sin but to bring Salvation to those who are waiting for him the third role of the high priest was that he was the mediator between God and the people so basically he would speak to God on behalf of the people and then God would give the people Grace now you see why the Bible says that Jesus is the mediator between God and man because the role of a high priest is to be a mediator this is why when we pray to God we do it in the name of the ultimate mediator Jesus because just like the high priest in the Old Testament was a mediator and God would show Grace because of the high priest's role same here the Bible says that when we pray no matter how many times we sin Jesus speaks to the father Our Father God on our behalf in the way so that we can approach him so if you've just SED or whatever when you pray confess your sins to Jesus the great high priest and then you can approach your father God with such confidence because there is no shame because the mediator has made it so there is nothing interfering with your communication all we have to do is admit that we did wrong try to do better and our relationship with God is as strong as it's ever been Hebrews 9:15 for this reason Christ is the mediator of a New Covenant that those who are called may receive received the promised inheritance now that he has died as a ransom to set them free from the sins committed under the first Covenant
the fourth role of the high priest was to teach the people God's word the high priest would teach the people about God they would instruct the people about the Torah or the law and that was one of their major roles they were a teacher so how does that prophetic point to Christ well notice how Jesus said that he was our teacher you see as the high priest his role is to teach that's one of the roles and this is the reason why Jesus he did all of the things that the high priest had to do before he offered his body as a sacrifice he let his disciples know that before I go I'm also going to teach you how am I going to teach teach you I'm going to leave you my Holy Spirit which will teach you everything you need to know this is why when you receive the Holy Spirit you receive so much Insight Revelation the Bible opens up and you see things that you never saw before why because Jesus the great king and high priest is teaching you he's doing his role that's why in John 14 verse 26 it reads but the advocate the Holy Spirit whom the father will send in my name will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you Jesus was letting his people know hey when I go and deal with this sin Thing by offering my body and resurrected on the third day to sit in the presence of the father in The Great holy of holies I will still fulfill my role of teaching you by giving you my spirit he is doing it all prophetically and fulfilling his role as the high priest oh we're going to keep going that's not it the fifth role of the high priest oh it just keeps going keeps getting deep that you see the high priests they had to have high standards that would ensure that they were the holiest among the people you see since the high priest represented God and they were the mediator between God and the people and they would enter the holy of holies with sacrifices they had to have incredible high standards placed on them and you can read all about this in the Book of Leviticus and so basically when you read it you will clearly see that the the high priest had to basically be the holiest people in the area because they were the ones representing the people before God they had to be extremely holy does that point to Christ better believe it does you see if Jes Jesus had to be the ultimate high priest he would have had to be more than just holy he would have had to be the holiest person ever like sin free like never sin and as we know he was he never sinned the holiest person ever because he's the ultimate high priest it's amazing and here's a fun fact I'm just going to throw this out there this is this is a deep one here in the Old Testament you had to be 30 years old before you could become the high priest that's right when you study the the Old Testament it shows that you had to be 30 years old before you could become the high priest and be serving for God in that way let me ask you a question how old was Jesus when he began his ministry that's right he was 30 years old he died at 33 but he was 30 years old you see all the numbers in the Bible all the things that happened it wasn't just written for good storytelling it was all precisely recorded with a purpose even the numbers Jesus didn't just decide to go into Ministry when he was 30 just thinking it was a good idea but he knew Jesus studied the Torah he knew he was the high priest and he knew that the high priest they function in Ministry at 30 and that's why even he began Ministry at 30 years old I bet you never heard that before and if you did well good but it all relates it all connects and that's just how powerful God's word is you see on this channel there are a lot of things that we're going to be talking about there are things that connect that are just so deep it will blow your mind you will literally have to cut off the computer get up and take a breath and then tell other people to check this stuff out because Revelation is being revealed and insight is being given in these days because the truth is I'm just going to I tell you the king the high priest his return is so near and I'm not just saying that because there have been wars and rumors of wars I'm not just saying that because the gospel of the Kingdom has almost been preached to the whole world but that will happen very soon because with media today you better believe every nation is going to hear the gospel of the Kingdom but there are things mathematical prophetic parallels in the scripture that show God's timeline that show how close we are to the end no one will know the day or the hour when he returns but the season the time when you better start looking up the time when you better start getting serious that season is upon us and this channel is going to be revealing so much more prophecy and Revelation and insight so stay tuned and just a summarize everything we went through on this we see that Jesus is the ultimate high priest he lives to forgive and everything that the high priest did was all done to illustrate the role of Jesus as the forgiver who made it so that we can always have an awesome relationship with God so never feel like you've done anything to keep you from approaching God God cuz when God sees you he sees you with eyes of love and favor because when God sees you he doesn't see sin he doesn't see something unworthy when he sees you he sees Holiness man he sees righteousness he sees goodness because you are covered by the blood of Jesus the king and high high priest who lives to forgive I'm hyped up right now that's some Revelation for
