We said there are three steps to living in a beautiful state. Step one is make the real what decision. Have strong enough what reasons. And it's not about being perfect. It's about getting better at it all the time. Right? And not tolerating suffering. Which means the problem might still be here, but I don't have to suffer. I can find myself in a beautiful state. This is not forever. I will figure it out.

By the way, how many of you figured out almost any crap you've ever faced in your life eventually? How many figured out? Say I. Then why wait to feel good? Feel good now and let's go solve it versus feeling like [ __ ] trying to solve it which takes twice as long. Make sense?

Second step is prepare because something's going to knock you off your game. And the best preparation is to notice. I'm just wondering how fast you can walk backwards. Whoa. Give this man a hug here. A high five, ladies and gentlemen. Thank you. So the second step is to prepare in advance so it doesn't grab you by noticing the things that usually grab you. So you notice the pattern. Certain emotions I overuse. They don't serve me, but I gotten in the habit of it. They're well-oiled. So I need to break the pattern by doing something shocking, weird, bizarre, funny, so I can scratch the record. But when you do it a few times and it works, you'll start to get reinforced for doing it. Make sense?

And then the third step is you need a 90-second rule. A 90-second rule means it's not that you don't feel frustrated or bad or upset because that's going to happen if you're a human being. It's you don't tolerate staying there. So, I call it the 90-second rule. Now, when I first started doing it, the 90-second rule worked really well for certain little things, but some big things I needed like the five-hour rule, right? And so, I beat myself up about it, which is the opposite of a beautiful state. So, I just caught myself and went, "No, some things will be 90 seconds. Some might take 5 minutes, but I'm not going to tolerate 5 hours or even an hour. I'm going to get this down to 5 minutes or 10 at the most. Get my [ __ ] together and then eventually get it back to 90 seconds. Does that make sense?"

And what you do is you need a standard for yourself. Not a standard that's inhuman, one that you can really do. So, I call it the 90-second rule. It might be the three-minute rule for you. You can decide what it is. But your target is to get to wherein 90 seconds you catch yourself change your state. That does not mean that it's not unpleasant or that everything's solved. It just means you're going to solve it from a different
