Let's take a new exercise in SolidWorks. We've a body in SolidWorks; all dimensions are in millimeters. Corner radius are 5 mm unless otherwise specified; scale is 1:2. Okay, here we have uh one front view. See, this is the front view, and we have one top view, and there is two section views: section AA—look, this is the section AA—and there is one section BB. Okay, so if you see, there are four numbers of flanges on this wall. This is a multiple flow wave. Okay, here we have two circular flanges, one and two oblong flanges. See, there is one top side, and in front side we have this one shape; you will see this one. So we will start with uh, let's see section AA. See section AA, this two circular flange uh depth 16, 16. Now, overall length of this 166. Okay, now diameter of this flange 146. Now there is one more uh step 4 mm, this one, and uh this depth uh Radius 2 mm. This depth, how much? You will see 80 mm. See here, 80 mm, and uh these internal wall thickness uh you will see here the bow size 42. Then the wall thickness you will observe here 9 mm, 9 mm. So 42 + 9 + 9 is 60 mm. Okay, so I'm going to start with front plane section view, uh sketch. Now activate line tool, and I'm going to draw one line just pass through mid origin Point; create one step. Okay, exit. Now do one thing: select this line first, make construction, and select this Center Point, origin point, and hold shift key and select this line and make relation midpoint. Okay, now one more relation: select this line and this line and make one constraint, colinear and equal. Similarly, I'm going to do for this: select these two lines, equal, and here colinear. Smart Dimension: why I make this one? If I'm going to select top edge and this one, if I move my cursor down below the line, it will show you diameter; above the line, it will show you radius. So keep now 146 mm the diameter, 80 diameter, and let's say this one 60. Select this one 16, and let me select this one 4 mm. Okay, now overall, just simply choose this line 166 mm. Now look, drawing seems fully defined. Go to feature and activate revolve boss based feature. Now look, due to this construction line, profile is open, not closed, so system ask, would you like the sketch to be automatically closed? Say yes. Now here look, by default system took this Center Line as the axis of revolution. Now a solid body going to create at the 360° along with this axis. Say okay, and here we go. If I'm going to select this inside fillet, keep here fillet type constant size, so selection bar, and here in fillet parameter I am going to apply 2 mm. Now keep symmetric this one. Say okay. See now. Now let's create this uh flange 60, this corner radius. Now flange Center distance 36 mm, and this flange depth thickness you will observe 16 mm. See here, and the position of this flange 80, 8 mm from the center or top plane. Okay, so top plane, drop down reference geometry, activate plane, and here select 88. See, this is moving upside. Say okay. Now select this Plane, one is sketch. Now here I'm going to choose Center point is straight slot. Now select this origin Point, smart Dimension. Now this Center distance 36, and the fillet shows 60. Now look, it seems fully defined the sketch. Activate extruded boss based feature. Now here start, we will keep same end condition, blind, and depth is 16 mm, but look, this is moving upside, so simply reverse. Okay, now let me click this uh plane, hide. Okay, now this flange is going to connect with this body with this solid F housing or solid body. Now this depth 52 + 10 + 10, 72. If you see section BB, you will see here at bottom there is a curve, look, 96 mm, 26 + 96, and the thickness of this section view wall 10 mm. So if you are going to add this one, and this is going to be let's say 134. Okay, 134 fine, and the width of this 72 + 10 + 10, and this is going to be 92 mm, and we need to extrude this one up to 52 + 10 + 10, 72. Then at corner there is a two radius, R10, R18, and R5. See here, here also R5. So I'm going to select right plane section view. Okay, let's click now. Go back to the point and see the line is automatically converted into Arc. Now let's make important relation, vertical. Make sure this is also vertical. Now select this point, tangent. Okay, let's select this point, hold shift key, origin Point, coincide. Smart Dimension. Now this Dimension given, we calculated 72 + 10 + 10, 92, and distance from outside, hold shift key and select this one and see here by default 134. Okay, because this is uh this circle going to pass through Center. That's it. Extrude, extruded boss base. Now start condition keep same, end condition Direction one, keep mid plane, so that material going to flow both side equally. How much this one? 52 + 10 + 10, this wall thickness and GAP 52, 72. Say okay, and here we go. Select this end point uh edge, fillet constant type, fillet symmetric, and here radius I'm going to apply 18. Similarly select other side. Say okay again. Okay, 5 mm radius we will apply in uh after after adding some more flange. Okay, let's add this flange four. This width 16 mm, and uh uh distance, distance. Okay, let's check here distance from Center 116. See here, 116 from Center, and from Top flange you will see there is a Center Line. This center line goes 66. This is important. Then this uh flange size you will see here 80, 65, 65. Okay, these whole size, that's SI 66 from here. So first we need to create a plane, front plane, drop down reference geometry, plane, and this is going to be 116. See distance. Now select the plane to sketch. Now I'm going to draw one circle, circle, draw from little above the origin point. Line, draw one horizontal line, make sure horizontal line. Okay, let me draw one more horizontal line. Okay, make sure this is also horizontal line. Now do one thing. Okay, we need to do first symmetric relation and select this one. Okay, let's create some relation, select this point and this point, one constraint horizontal. One more Dimension 66 from Top edge. Okay, now select these two lines, outer lines, hold shift key, select the center line. Once you leave, it will show you this popup, make symmetric, trim entities, power trim. Just press and drag your mouse and over the line and see this is going to trim. Press left Mouse, drag. Okay, smart Dimension 65. This is also going to be 65, and this width 80. Look, it seems fully defined a sketch. Extruded boss base. Here keep and in Direction and condition blind, depth only 16, but this is moving wrong side, so just reverse. Okay, hide. Now there is one solid body uh pipe going to met with this, look this pipe. Okay, this pipe depth uh bore size uh 40 mm, and the wall thickness where is going to mention? Okay, mention here outside Dimension 50 mm. Then there is also radius 5 mm. Now here also the same radius. So select this face, sketch, flip. Now just show previous sketch, Circle, and take the center, smart Dimension 50 mm. It seems fully defined, extruded boss base. Now either choose next, next means this is going to apply on this, or there is one more option up to body, and select this body, and you will see the preview. Say Okay. Now click on plane hide or line or hide, fillet constant type, full preview. Here radius I'm going to change five, and I'm going to select this all pipes, this pipe, this internal pipe, and this internal edge also. Say okay. Okay, this is have chamfer 5, 45 degree. Then this is cutout. What is the cutout? Look, 22 after chamfer, but if you see that cutout 40 mm incl excluding chamfer. Okay, 70 mm, and 70 uh 40 mm + 70, 6 mm. You can calculate from here also 20, 20 + 32, and depth of this is going to be 26. Then after that this going to cut 72 mm, and this is going to cut depth for 52. Let's see first I'm going to make it chamfer first, angle distance 5 into 45. I'm going to select this edge, but it's it is not perfectly, so I'm going to choose equal distance and I'm going to select all edge. Okay, that's it. Top face, sketch, activate. Here Center Point, straight slot, smart Dimension. Now look this diameter 40, Center distance 36, that's fine. If I'm going to see, hold shift key, select this outer edge to this outer edge, see 76, that's fine. Extruded cut and make the depth and condition blind and make depth 26 mm. See now which plane this is, right plane is sketch. I'm going to show hidden line visible. Okay, now look this depth cutout, activate line tool, and I'm going to cut a circular body. Go back to the point and see this is going to convert into line and connect with this. Okay, this is close profile. Let me make it straight. I'm going to do some. Okay, now Center for this same, so I'm going to select this point and Center, merge. That's fine. Now check this is vertical, no, so make it vertical. Similarly this is vertical, select the point, I'm going to make tangent, tangent is smart Dimension. Now according to drawing this is going to be 72. See now, extruded cut. Now these depth, let's make end condition mid plane, so material going to cut equally both side, and here 52 mm. Say okay. Okay, let's see some section view, right plane section View. See, this is how we need. Okay, now let's make, there is one more cutout. Okay, this whole diameter 40, and this is throughout cut, and there is one more 60 diameter whole depth is step 5 mm, counter bore 5 mm. So even we can apply whole wizard. Let's apply whole Wizard and we will see what can we can achieve. Metric, simply choose Legacy hole, counter bore. Okay, first diameter of main hole 40, depth leave it, you can Define it, but let's say next, counter bore 60 and depth 5 mm. Position now select this pH. Now we have to place at this, not this one, show. Okay, now place at center point of this body. Right click, exit. Now just check the preview. Next means this inside wall is next wall for this. See now let's hide, click and hide this line. Okay. Okay, let let me check inside. See, there is a 10 radius hole. Let me select front plane section view. Okay, fillet keep radius 10, constant type, select this inside and select this this Edge. Okay, hide this. Now let's make 42 diameter hole, and there is a chamfer 2 into 45. This is 2 into 45, here also chamfer same. This chamfer distance you will see in this section 2 into 45. Okay, then inside also there is one chamfer, we will consider this is also 2 into 45. So let's select this face, sketch, activate Circle and draw a circle diameter 40, 42, and make whole throughout. Here I'm going to choose through all. Say okay. Now there is a through all hole, chamfer angle distance 2 into 45, and I'm going to select this internal edge at both flange, and now this upper edge also and the internal face of this hole. Say okay. If I'm going to select section View, front plane section view. Okay, normal view. Now look this internal holes radius 40, outer radius, and this all radius we achieved, chamfer C both side and top side. Section view, right plane section view, normal. Say okay. See the chamfer also achieved this end in internal end, and see this is also chamfer shown visible. Now let me save this one. Now there are 15 diameter hole, four four holes, and see 50, 86.5, 50, 86.5. So I'm going to select this sketch, and here I'm going to choose Center rectangle and keep cursor and you'll find midpoint for construction. Select hole and place hole at every corner. Now select all hole, hold shift key, and here Define equal is smart Dimension 50, 86.5, and this diameter 5, 15. Extruded cut. Now I want to cut only this flange, so see, don't go for through all. Here choose up to next. Next means this is going to cut only the next phase of this. See here. Okay, let's check this flange, flange, there is a whole diameter 100, 10, and this flange. Okay, see there are 12 number of holes, six each flange, 16 diameter. Okay, let's see how we can do this. I think we need to mirror this, make it for construction, diameter. Now this diameter 110, and there is a whole 16 diameter. Extruded cut and keep end condition up to next. Circular pattern. Now feature Direction I'm going to choose either axis or either any circular Edge, so I'm going to select this circular Edge. Now here choose equally spacing, the space between all holes should be equal, angle 360°, because this is going to apply in 360 way, and there are six number of holes, six number of instances. Say okay, and see here. Let's mirror this hole, so which plane is stable, right plane mirror. See feature to mirror, circular pattern. You will see the preview here. Say okay, and here we go. Now let's make hole at top, 14 diameter, six hole. Okay, now the angle between these two holes 75, 75, and and uh the pitch diameter 94. See select is sketch, Circle and draw a this one 94. Let me draw. Okay, let's draw hole Circle one here, exit. Now let me draw Center Line connect with this Center Point to this Center Point. Again I'm going to connect with this one to this. Now select all holes, equally spacing uh equal a smart Dimension, define angle 75, and the diameter of hole is 16, sorry 14. Look, it seems fully defined. Extruded cut, there is two option either defined uh okay, the next is better option because there is a see there is a curve also. If you choose surface there will be problem. Similarly right, front plane mirror. Here choose feature to mirror, drop down and select this extruded cut. You will see the preview in yellow color. Say yes. Now we did, we achieved our model. Okay, we achieved. Okay, let's check uh material AIS SII 316L. This is the stainless steel, weight 9.6 kg. Let's see. Edit material or this one, AISI type 316 stainless steel, mass density 8027 kg per cubic meter. Let's apply, close. Now these appearance I don't like, so you can go edit appearance, silver set, set PN finish. Okay, this looks uh more appealing. Save. Go to evaluate, Pro Mass properties. Now see uh weight is 9.6 kg. Here it's in gram, so exactly same 9.6708 g. Don't forget to share and like our video and please subscribe our channel for more video and more projects in SolidWorks.
