Lord, we give you thanks. Lord, we give you praise. Your name be glorified now and forevermore, in Jesus' name.
Once again, you are welcome to the presence of the Lord as we share on the second part. [Music] On the topic, discovering your destiny. And that will be, we begin by looking at Psalm 139:13-16. Psalm 139, verse 13 to 16, Contemporary English Version of the Bible says, "You are the one who put me together inside my mother's body, and I praise you because of the wonderful way you created me. Everything you do is marvelous; of these, I have no doubt. Nothing about me is hidden from you. I was secretly woven together deep in the heart below." [Music] "But with your own eyes, you saw my body being formed. Even before I was born, you had written in your book everything I would do." [Music]
We're looking at, once again, on this topic of our destiny. And in the first part, we looked at seven instances. First, the nation of Israel, and six individuals who benefited from the mystery of destiny. We read from the Holy Scriptures how [Music] they were very clear prophetic words as to what will happen in the lives of those individuals: Samson, Josiah, Cyrus, John the Baptist, our Lord Jesus Christ. [Music] And it was even made clear of certain things that will happen to them in the course of their journey here on earth until the glory of God. It happened exactly as it had been revealed. [Music]
We want to look at the influence of destiny. It's quite interesting to note that the subsequent fulfillment [Music] of the various revelations we mentioned earlier in the first part [Music] about Israel as a nation, about Samson, about Josiah, about John the Baptist, about Cyrus, about our Lord Jesus Christ. The fulfillment of all of these prophecies, even before they were born, in the case of Israel as a nation, over 400 years before the time. The subsequent fulfillment [Music] is an overwhelming proof of the influence of destiny on human affairs and human events. [Music] The outstanding victories, the great achievements that these beneficiaries of destiny obtained, and many others have obtained, as a result of what God has destined concerning them. We are not necessarily due to their personal ambition, not necessarily due to their personal strength, not necessarily due to their special abilities. Rather, it was because of God's predetermined mandate, God's predetermined mandate, God's destiny-fulfilling grace for the assignment, God's supernatural influence. I was deliberately expressed to fulfill the script, God's script for their specific destinies. It was these factors that made these great things happen in the lives of these people. For instance, the spectacular victories that Samson experienced. Samson secured. We are certainly not achieved by some [Music] special kinds of trainings he was exposed to. It was due to the supernatural strength that God had bestowed upon him in order to fulfill a certain aspect of his divine destiny. The victories of Samson were primarily due to the influence of God's grace. The victories of Samson were primarily due [Music] to the influence of God's supernatural strength [Music] that was imparted upon him to fulfill [Music] a certain aspect of his divine destiny.
They are certain attributes of destiny. Your divine destiny has to do with certain parts of God's will for your life. [Music] Your divine destiny is your primary divine purpose in life. It is what you were predetermined by God to do later in life. Your destiny is your major calling, your major calling in life. Your destiny is your divine mission on earth. Your destiny is your divine assignment on the surface of this earth. Your destiny is your divine mandate on the earth. It is what God sent you to accomplish on the surface of the earth. It is what you were ordained by God to become later in life. In Matthew chapter 2, verse 2, in Matthew chapter 2, verse 2, referring to the baby Jesus, said, "The wise men came to see he that was born king." He that was born king. [Music] Referring to what was subsequently going to happen later in his life. [Music]
And then we begin to look at some correlations. First, [Music] location. The connection between location and destiny. [Music] Some of these future events that have been predetermined by God to happen, to happen in the course of destiny, are tied to certain specific locations. Some of them are tied to certain cities, certain nations, [Music] certain continents, certain communities. [Music] So you need to be very, very much aware of the fact that there is often a connection between destiny and location. [Music]
Then there is the time factor and destiny. The connection between time, timing, time factor, and destiny. Certain aspects of destiny are timed. [Music] The starting time, the duration of time. And then some aspects of divine destiny could come with a deadline by which that particular thing must happen. A deadline by which a particular thing must start. A deadline by which a particular thing must stop. So some of these future events in destiny have been predetermined to happen, some to start, some to spread. It could be the spread of a movement, it could be the spread of a denomination. Some to spread, some to increase. Some of these events have been timed to stop, some having time to end at a particular time. Ecclesiastes chapter 3, verse 1, tells us that, "For every purpose under heaven, for everything on the heaven, there is a time and there is a season." [Music] Some of these things, even have been predetermined to happen at a particular hour. Some things will be destined to happen on a specific day, specific week, a specific month, a specific year. I stand in alignment with your divine destiny, and I join you to pray at this hour that those notable things that have been ordained to happen this year in your divine destiny, the Lord give the final command for those things to begin to happen in the name of Jesus. The Lord clear away. The Lord open the door for those notable things to come to pass before the close of this year. Can the Most High God hear you? See a powerful amen. It shall come to pass. Congratulations in advance. [Music]
So some of them have been predetermined to happen at a particular hour, a particular day, week, month, or a specific year. In Genesis chapter 41, verses 41-42, the dream of Pharaoh, interpreted by the grace of God upon Joseph, revealed 14 years of certain things that were predetermined by God to happen: seven years of national prosperity followed by seven years of global recession. [Music] Some of these things that have been destined could also be within a time frame or before a divinely specified deadline. Take note of this. Some of the events that have been destined to happen [Music] at time, to a particular age of your life. Sometimes, not all the time. Sometimes, some of these destined events have been timed by God to happen [Music] within the season of a landmark year in your life. And from experience and observation, we have noted that these landmark years have a more predominant from age 40, or aged 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, and 80. And what has been observed over and over, that good number of times, the 12 months preceding that landmark, that day, the 12 months after that landmark birthday, God in his mercy and favor would deliberately program certain good things to happen. [Music] And so, if you are within the context of these axes of time we are talking about, I pray that the favor and mercy of God will speak on your behalf, and God will program something very, very good, activate something very, very good to have comfort in the physical, now within the season of your landmark birthday. For instance, Joseph became Prime Minister at the age of 30. David became king of Israel at the age of 30. Solomon became king of Israel at the age of 30. John the Baptist started ministry at the age of 30. Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ also started ministry at the age of 30. These obviously were not just mere coincidence. It was destiny playing out, and more specifically, the time, time factor, and timing dimension of destiny in clear manifestation. [Music] I therefore pray one more time that every good thing that has been timed to happen for you within the next 12 months, may they come to pass to the glory of God and to your joy, and the joy of as many as have been ordained to benefit from such good works of God, in the name of Jesus. [Music]
Relationship, partnership, and sometimes, sometimes even marriage are closely embedded in the script of your destiny. [Music] Some relationships, some partnerships in life, had been destined to happen, predetermined even before you were born. So the man who will be your father, the man, the woman who will be your mother, your biological [Music] brothers and sisters are just some of the examples of certain people that we are obviously destined to be in close relationship with. And then also, they are divine helpers, they are destiny partners. [Music] And some will become even closer to you in the course of life than your biological relatives. You need to also be very sensitive to this aspect of destiny. Some relationships were programmed by God. So when you find them, when you discover such relationships, give them [Music] its due attention and commitment. [Music]
And then we need to also have it in mind that destinies can be changed. Destinies can be altered. As important as the mystery of destiny is, so is this particular lesson and insight about the workings and dynamics of destiny. Destinies are vulnerable to change. Destinies are vulnerable to even spiritual attacks. Destinies can be altered. Destinies can be hindered. Destinies can be frustrated from being fulfilled. And can I tell you this? Sometimes you would need to be discreet for certain aspects of your destiny to be fulfilled. [Music] You will need to keep certain dreams to yourself. You will need to keep certain revelations to yourself. [Music] If not for God, [Music] if not for God going the extra mile on behalf of Joseph, he would have been killed before his time. [Music] Because he revealed certain aspects of his destiny [Music] to the wrong people. Destinies can be altered through spiritual attack. Destinies can be hindered, frustrated through spiritual manipulations. And that is one reason why you must, as a believer, be given to consistent prayer, spiritual warfare, and intercession. [Music] The only destinies or components of God's will that can never be changed or altered are those of specific events that God has confirmed as irrevocable. But a very detailed research on this subject has shown that as much as there is truly an aspect of God's will that is irreversible and irrevocable, such events [Music] are always in a very, very [Music] a percentage. Such events are rare, but they would always exist. Every year, there will be some aspects of God's irrevocable will playing out. But compared to the other aspects of God's will that are subject to different levels and degrees of probability, just very few, just a small percentage have that stamp of God that makes them irreversible and irrevocable. [Music]
The fulfillment of destiny is based on different conditions or actions that must either be fulfilled [Music] for that aspect of destiny to be fulfilled. [Music] If you go back to the instruction that was given to the parents of Samson, [Music] a great destiny was revealed, but along with the template for his destiny [Music] was a revelation of setting conditions that must be in place. [Music] There was going to be an awesome dimension of God's grace and power upon Samson, [Music] but it was also instructive to note that Samson was also expected to go through a certain measure of consecration. [Music] There are certain things that must be avoided in order for certain aspects of your destiny to be fulfilled. [Music] Check it out. You see that at the end of the day, many prophecies are not eventually fulfilled. Many revelations are not eventually fulfilled, some partially, and many not in full. One of the reasons this happens over and over is due to carelessness, [Music] due to certain avoidable errors, due to sin, due to iniquity, due to people taking things for granted, and sometimes due to a complacent attitude to life where you find men and women just sitting back and expecting destiny to fulfill itself. [Music] So some aspects of destiny can be delayed. Some aspects of destiny can be prevented from fulfillment, except you take certain steps and also take such steps at the right time. Otherwise, certain aspects of destiny can be delayed. Otherwise, certain aspects of destiny can [Music] be prevented from manifestation. But I pray that that will not be your portion. I pray that the Lord, the Spirit of the Lord, will stay you up at every point in time to take the appropriate steps, to take the necessary steps at the right time, in order for the full measure of God's great portion for your life in your divine destiny to be fulfilled. Can I? Can the Lord hear you say amen?
I close by quickly sharing with you some lessons on how to operate in accordance with divine destiny. Number one, there is need for discovery of God's calling and purpose for different stages of your life here on earth. There is need for you to pursue the fulfillment of each of these different stages. Luke 1:76, Jeremiah 1:5, Isaiah 44:24-28. There is need for you to take divine revelations more seriously and flow along with that understanding. [Music]
Number two, there is need for us, for you, to always find out God's will before making choices or taking decisions in different areas of your life. Very important, if you are going to be in agreement with your divine destiny and purpose at every point in time.
Number three, there is need for consistent sensitivity to know God's prophetic agenda [Music] for your life, your family, your children, your community, your nation, your church, your denomination, and walk in agreement with that direction. Be sensitive to find out God's will concerning the calling and career of your children. Sometimes it could be in conflict, it could be different with what you had desired. [Music] Always remember that for every God-given destiny, there is a release of God's grace, talents, special abilities in order for such persons to excel in their peculiar role in destiny. So you need to be sensitive to know God's prophetic agenda from time to time, not just for yourself, but also for your family, your children, your community, your nation. Flow along with that direction. In Genesis chapter 15, verses 13 to 14, Genesis 15:13 to 14, God spoke to Abraham and told him, "Behold, your seed will be in a foreign land where they will be enslaved 400 years, and after which I will bring them out of that land." So when that time will come, the Israelites had a responsibility to be sensitive to recognize what the Spirit of God is saying. The season of slavery is over. [Music] In Ecclesiastes chapter 3, verse 1, it says, "For everything under heaven, there is a time and there is a season." So we understand that what we call seasons of change, seasons of change, [Music] we have to be sensitive, or else we may miss the seasons of change and want to hold on [Music] to the tradition, to the pattern, to the rules, the times of engagement of a season, a phase that is already clearly over. May you always be in tune with every new season of your divine destiny.
And then number four, we need to align. You need to align with God's choice or decision. In 1 Samuel chapter 7, 1 Samuel chapter 16, 1 Samuel chapter 16, verse 7 to 13. You read about how Samuel was anointed, sent by God to anoint one of the sons of Jesse to be king of Israel. At the time, David was not physically present. Or seven of the sons of Jesse were present and presented before the prophet, and he stepped towards each one of them, and the Spirit of God restrained him until he was done with the seven. And he asked the father, Jesse, "Are these all your sons?" And at that time, Jesse told him, "There is one more." And that was how David was brought into the picture. And when David came to the scene, the Spirit of God confirmed to him, "This is my chosen one. Anoint him." We so you must learn to always respect, learn to always accept, learn to always defer to God's revealed will. You must learn to always respect, accept, and defer to God's valid on different crucial issues. [Music] You must learn to always respect and accept God's counsel concerning different issues. Sometimes you may be right, yet the Spirit of God will be saying that you should be the one to apologize. It could just be part of the testing that God will take you through before it takes you higher to a higher level. The choice, the appointment, the promotion, or the nation of people for specific things, for specific positions, offices, relationships, or even marriage are very, very sensitive issues that we should learn to always find out what the mind of God is and go along with God's revealed will. [Music] We need to accept and respect God's revealed choice, God's revealed plan, God's revealed purpose for different people and different situations. Learn to accept God's revealed purpose for your son, for your daughter. Divinely ordained leadership is not given based on age, is not given based on seniority, is not given based on fast karma's bases. [Music] You could see instances from the choice of Jacob, the choice of David, the choice of Solomon, the choice of Paul. So it's based on divine discretion. "I will have mercy upon whom I will have mercy. I will have compassion upon whom I will have compassion." [Music]
Number five, never oppose or walk against God's will. Don't waste your time, your years, your treasure, your money, your resources, your influence, your energy challenging, opposing, contending against God's revealed will or the person that God has obviously chosen for this time, for this season. Look back at the devastating losses that Pharaoh encountered in Exodus chapter 12, starting from Exodus chapter 4 through Exodus chapter 12. [Music] All in an attempt to stop God's will for Israel to exit from Egypt. And to make matters worse for him and his supporters, God still had his way, and Israel successfully left Egypt. I pray that God's good will for your life and intention for your life, God's purpose for your life will be fulfilled at this time and season, and no Pharaoh, no man or woman, no institution, no power [Music] and the type of Pharaoh will be able to hinder you from entering into your new season, in the name of Jesus. [Music] So do not despise God's revealed will. Do not reject or set aside the approach, the location of the person that God has obviously chosen for whatever purpose.
And then number six, you must be very patient to wait for God's specified time. Hebrews 10:36-37. You must be very patient to wait for God's time. God's time will come. It will come. [Music] And if you choose to do otherwise, it could bring about, could lead to complications. In fact, there are times where God could put an irrevocable, irreversible confirmation upon the time for a particular thing to happen. An instance was the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. It was irreversibly predetermined by God to happen, not on the first day, even though God could have done it on the first day. It was irreversibly predetermined to happen, not on the second day, even though God could have easily done it on the second day. Rather, it was predetermined by God to happen on the third day. So when we have instances where God has put an irreversible confirmation on the particular time something to happen, there is no desperate effort, there is no kind of step you are going to take that can make that thing happen earlier or make it happen later than God's appointed time. [Music] Until the glory of God, when the third king, when the third came, [Music] the power of God raised Jesus from the dead. There will be certain things in your life, even at this time, for some of you listening to me, that will be tied to the timing of God. I want to reassure you, once that appointed time comes, [Music] the Lord shall arise, because it's the time to favor you, favor your family, favor your nation, favor your platform, and what God had long promised and confirmed shall finally come to pass to his glory. The mystery of destiny. You are a child, you are a man, you are a woman of destiny. There is a plan and purpose of God for your life. [Music] For this to be guaranteed, you must first of all surrender your life to Jesus, accept him as your Lord and Savior. [Music] And once that happens, the Holy Spirit will begin to dwell in you and give you direction on a daily basis in accordance with the perfect will of God for your life.
I pray with you at this moment. Lord, we thank you for your word that has come forth with grace at this time. We pray, Lord, that once again [Music] you put your sons and daughters in alignment with your original plan and purpose in their respective destinies. Whatever is standing as a spiritual barrier to their progress in destiny, let such be overthrown and removed out of the way. [Music] Lord, we ask that you will call into physical manifestation [Music] their destiny helpers, their destiny partners. Let those men and women, institutions begin to walk towards the fulfillment of your good will towards your sons and daughters, in the name of Jesus. Lord, now is the due season for certain things to happen in the lives of your sons and daughters. Arise, O Lord, and fulfill your promise, your prophecy, [Music] your word that has already gone forth, because this is a due season. Let that word find expression to your glory and to the joy of your sons and daughters, in the name of Jesus. Thank you, Heavenly Father. In Jesus' name, we have prayed. Hallelujah. Expect good news in the days and seasons ahead of us. [Music]
