Let's start with a problem many face, especially in STEM disciplines. We open our digital notes for math review and instead of clear formulas, we see a mess of backslashes and parentheses. We used to spend time deciphering our own materials instead of concentrating on concepts. With the latest update to the LM notebook, this is changing drastically. Thanks to Latex rendering, the system automatically turns code into neat, textbook-like equations anywhere in the learning process. There's no need to activate extra features or install an extension. Formulas display correctly both when interacting with the assistant and when creating flashcards or tests. Why is this important for our study sessions? Because by removing the complexity of interpreting symbols and subscripts in text, we increase speed and accuracy. We read and understand faster, reduce silly mistakes from confusing variables or missing details, and improve visual recognition of expressions. Getting started is very simple. First, we upload our materials, notes, PDFs, and transcripts, and then we ask the assistant for study resources, like flashcards or tests. And third, we learn with already well-formatted formulas. A few helpful tips. If we already have saved notes, re-uploading them will apply the new format. We can delete add-ons that try to do the same thing partially, and when creating flashcards, it's better to leave long formulas on separate lines for flawless display. Now, in addition to formulas, the LM notebook has also advanced in how it turns our sources into review-ready materials. Audio review is a conversational summary that has become much more natural and now allows interaction and asking questions to the speakers, generating answers from our sources. This looks like a powerful innovation. This also existed before, but a video review has appeared, which with one click gives us an explanatory video with voice-over, slides, and links to our materials. Here, as you can see, we have all sorts of resources. guides, scripts, tests, planners, audio, and even diagrams, to learn much more comfortably. And all this is literally within a couple of notes. And in addition to texts we are already familiar with, like summaries or drafts, data tables are added as structured elements. Imagine several industry reports. The system can extract metrics and organize them into rows and columns. Revenue growth, market size, customer satisfaction allows sorting and filtering for at-a-glance comparison. To this is added a deep exploration mode, which is not limited to quick answers about what's loaded, but can independently study our sources and supplement them with verified information, producing multi-layered documents, summaries, tables, and links. In the same vein of material creation, presentation generation appears, and another key improvement has been targeted orientation. We can open the notebook settings and briefly indicate the desired response style. Daily work management has also improved. You can refresh the chat, view conversation history, and save answers directly into notebook notes. Looking at the big picture, the direction is clear. We have moved from a document summarization tool to a system that helps us think with our materials. Nevertheless, it's worth adhering to two practices. First, organize sources well, clean folders, clear names, thematic grouping. After all, the results are better when you start with order. And second, use these features as a co-pilot, meaning, use automation to save time, but check accuracy and adjust the approach when necessary. Let's go back to the beginning. The simple experience of viewing a clearly written equation without extraneous noise changes the quality of learning. And if you add natural conversational notes, one-click explanatory videos, automatically generated tables, and deep exploration within the same environment, the cumulative effect is obvious. As these tools reduce friction and automate routine tasks, we will be able to dedicate more energy to understanding, connecting ideas, and better explaining what we have learned.
