Good morning, Jim. So, yeah, uh, I think we are ready to start. So today, we will be, um, talking about our first task in Jira. Uh, basically, also, we'll show you how to work in our Jira board, and also, uh, basically, if you have some issues, we'll discuss it. And from today's meeting, we will be giving the updates, scrum updates, basically on the daily meetings. On your first job, it will, um, be the situation when the project manager or your team lead can ask you, uh, about your update. So, let me start. Uh, you just need to answer three questions: What did I do yesterday? What I am planning to do today? And do I have any issues or blockers? So, it should be brief, few sentences. So, yesterday I created an account in Jira. Sent the screenshot in Slack. Also, I created an account in the Really application. Um, did some exploratory testing, found few issues, and, uh, ready for the next task. No issues for now. So, something like this. This is kind of the update. So, you can also provide yours. You can use your mic, or you can also post, uh, your update in the chat. Uh, as I see, there are a lot of people. So, basically, yeah, we should be brief. Uh, so you can start. Who is ready, you can, uh, go, uh, with your update, guys. So, yeah.

Hi, David. Good morning. Uh, this is David. Hope everybody had a pretty good morning so far. Uh, for me, I was able to download the, the Jira and, uh, send that on the screenshot to the, uh, Slack channel. Also, was able to download the, the Really app. I downloaded on the actual website and then, uh, the, uh, web browser, and then I still downloaded my on my cell phone, uh, Android. Uh, I did find a few issues, but no blockers. It's like maybe three issues, uh, two on one page. Yeah, that's, but I'm ready for the next test.

Super. Thank you, David, a lot. Uh, yeah, Francis, I see your raised hand.

Mhm. Hi. Uh, hello. Same here. Uh, hi, everybody. Um, Monday, I created my account in Jira, and I also did my, um, account on, uh, Really yesterday. I did find a few bugs, not many. Um, I guess my question, and I did download it on my phone as well. Um, maybe my question is a little premature, but I was expecting we were going to be starting to enter things into Jira, but I guess I've got an email from you with an issue that was assigned to me. Are we going to be working on that, or is that something?

Okay, it is like a little bit ahead. Basically, I will explain you on this meeting, uh, how we will work in Jira. Uh, why I assign tasks to you, and basically, yes, this is the task we will be working on today, and I will show you how to work in our Kanban board and how to, uh, manage this task. So, yeah, um, a little bit later after the updates. Yeah, hope I answered your question. So, yeah, uh, someone else.

Yep. Hello. You hear me? Uh, my name is Lamarcus, and, uh, I haven't had any issues getting into Jira or with Really, but I downloaded the Android app, and I did some exploratory testing there, as well as the website. And pretty much like everyone's been saying, there's been no blockers, but I have found a couple of bugs.

Mhm. Yep. Cool. Uh, also today, we'll show you how to create bugs in Jira. And also, we have the instruction in the ticket. So, yeah, we will, we will also discuss it. Let me check the chat. So, Uh-huh. Monday created account. Cool. Yeah. Uh, Darian, Monday created account in Jira. Yep. Thank you a lot for the update. Uh, everyone Monday created an account in Jira. Downloaded, explored, found few bugs. Cool. Cool. Audrey. Uh-huh. Yesterday. Create account. Loaded the screenshots. Exploratory testing. Few minor bugs. Uh-huh. Creating checklist. Super. Cool. Cool. Cool. Thank you, Audrey. Uh, Kyomi made an account in Jira, Really, explored the site, and found a couple of, um, bugs. Cool. Cool. So, yeah.

Okay. Uh, yeah, Alex, hi. Good morning, everyone. Um, Monday, I downloaded, uh, the Really app to my phone, and I also downloaded it on my laptop, and I was able to, um, sign into Jira. And yesterday, I did some exploratory testing, and like everyone, I found a few bugs. Um, majority were on my, my iPhone.

Cool. Cool. Yep. Thank you, Alexis, a lot. Um, yeah. Cool. So, yeah, guys, if you have also updates, please interrupt me, uh, to save time. Uh-huh. See something in chat. I was wondering if you will be sending us the checklist for the smoke testing. Uh, so Maria, let's, uh, Okay. Uh, we have planned all the tasks, right? And for today, we will have a task for creating the checklist, and you will be doing this checklist for today. We will also have the smoke testing task, but it will be, um, in on the next meeting. So, uh, basically, it will be the third task. So, not for today, but in any case, you will see the smoke testing as well. So, yeah, hope I also answered your question.

Bana made an account in Jira, but I cannot sign in now. Also, mean Really. Uh-huh. Okay. Make sure that you are entering this URL. It should be internship solutions. Try to, uh, log in. If password doesn't match, try to reset it. If you will have still, uh, issues, just message me. I will reset your password and create a new one for you. Okay. On Monday, created an account zero and downloaded Really and also created an account for it. Did some exploratory testing. Cool. Cool. Cool. Okay. So, um, nice. I think now we are ready for the, uh, basically Jira. Yeah. Also, one more update. Installed Really on cell phone. Should we check all features from checklist on the phone and on the web? Uh, for now, you can choose one platform. We can begin with the web application. It will be easier for you to create a checklist and, uh, uh, basically, yeah, let's start with the web, and then we can also add iOS, Android, and etc.

Okay. So, uh, talking about the Jira, we have few columns here. It is to-do, in progress, for review, for development, and done. Uh, in the to-do column, you will see all the new tasks that you need to do. Uh, I will create separate tasks for everyone and also will assign you to the tasks. Uh, there are a lot of tasks, so you can use quick filters, only my issues, and you will see assigned tasks to you. Uh, basically, uh, when you will start working on the task, you need to move your task to the in progress column. You can just drag and drop it, and, uh, that's how I will see that you are currently working on this task, and, yeah, please, uh, take care of it. Uh, on your first job, it also can be important. So, yeah, just drag and drop your task from to-do to the in progress when you are, when you begin, start, begin working on it. Um, when you do everything you need in the scope of this task, you need to move it to the for review column. Same stuff, drag and drop. That's it. That's how I can understand that I need to check your task, and then I will check your task and, uh, will, uh, leave feedback, and, uh, in this point, I will move it to the done column or back to you with the feedback what you need to correct. So, you will work only in the three columns: to-do, in progress, and for review. Uh, done is just for me when I will review your tasks. For development column, we have it for the bug tickets. So, if you, uh, will create a bug tickets, you can move them to the for development column or also to the for review. So, I can check them and also can drag and drop them. So, that's about the Jira. Uh, yeah, also, if you will have questions, please interrupt me or just message in the chat.

Okay. Uh, let's scroll down, and here we have our first task. Uh, when you click on this task, on this block, you will have in the side menu, uh, this block right with the task, and in the description, you will have steps, uh, what you need to do to finish this task, right? So, how to complete the task? This is the instruction. We have a few steps, and all the links, we need to complete this task. So, follow the next, next links, and, uh, let's see what we have. Uh, this is the example of the checklist. Checklists can be created in different formats. For us, we will be creating it in the Google spreadsheets. This is the example of the checklist, how it should look like. Uh, basically, here we have feature, right? So, for example, this is some random, uh, software. It is not related to the Really application, right? It's just for you to see how the checklist can look like. Uh, so we have some feature here, right? And we have some checks for this feature. For example, check, check the sign-up functionality, as well as we have progress, and also the status of the check, pass or fail. Uh, this is the template for copying. It is a blank template that you need to copy.

Okay. I see some question. If we do find a bug and need to create a bug ticket, is it okay to drag it straight to the development column? Uh, you can, let's, uh, yeah, let's put them into the for review column at first, and then I will, uh, drop, I will drag them to the for development, uh, when I will check it. So, yeah, let's, uh, put them to the for review at first.

Um, cool. Uh, let's go back to the checklist. So, uh, what you need to do, write down the main features of the website and create minimum 10 checks. When checklist is ready, attach the checklist to the comment section. Okay, your starting point, you need to go to the template, and you need to create your own copy of this file. How to do it? You go to the file, make a copy. You need to get rid of this. Where is your name? You need to put your name, for example, Stanill, right? And then make a copy. Now you have your own copy of this file. Now it is your checklist, right? It is stored on your Google Drive. So, you can do anything you want in this file. So, this is your checklist. Uh, this is your starting point, and then you can pick few features. For example, in our Really application, for example, of plan, right? You can put it in the feature here, for example, like this, and it will be feature, big feature. For example, you can put search and filters, for example, right? Um, um, we can also do profile, like this. Yeah. And login, for example, login page. And now you can start creating your checks, right? So, what is the checklist? Checklist is a high-level type of test documentation. Basically, it is different from the test cases. In the checklist, you don't have steps. You don't have expected result. You don't have all this stuff. In the checklist, you can, you just have titles, titles of the checks, right? And from this title, you can understand what you need to do. So, for example, check if user can log in with valid credentials, right? So, from this check, I can understand that I need to go to the login page, put my credentials, and click login, and the user should log in, right? Uh, also, we can check if user cannot log in, for example, with invalid credentials, right? So, we need to see some errors that password or username doesn't match, etc., etc. And that's how you start creating your checklist with a lot of checks. As it mentioned in the task, you need to create minimum 10 checks. Uh, you can do basically like 10 checks for one feature, like two checks for other feature, and one check for other feature, or like three features, three checks for one feature, three checks for other feature, and five for short feature. It is up to you. Better to have a few features to check, right? Uh, not be strict only to one, uh, feature. Um, so try to find several features and create like, uh, four, five checks for each feature. It will be a good amount, but as it mentioned, 10 checks is just a minimum amount for the checklist.

Um, let me know if it is clear how to copy the file, how to create your own, uh, file, how to start doing the checks, and etc.

Hi, this is this is J Chapel. Uh, are you, so where is the, where is the link for the checklist?

Link in for the checklist in the task. So, when you click on this block, you will see, uh, how to complete the task, and you have the example and the template. So, you just click on it, and, yeah, here it is.

Okay. And also my Jira. Okay, my Jira was set up with my username and my pass, my password, and for some reason, I mean, I did submit to that Jira and actually, actually the Really project, I put that Really project inside of Jira, you know, yesterday, but however, uh, I, I messaged you, and you said it was the wrong setup on Jira, Jira necessarily. Now, I just set up on the correct Jira necessarily. And when I set up on that, my username, for some reason, the username and password that I put into that reverted to my first and last name for my username. I don't know what's happening with the Jira, but it seems like my Jira is being manipulated. So, I need to get that straightened out with my Jira, because obviously I can't even get into the correct Jira because my credentials are being manipulated. So, you know, that needs to be fixed. And how do I get a hold of you in order to make sure that we're on the right, you know, we get that set up properly?

Okay. Okay. So, uh, you have this link, right? Internship D solution or?

Okay. Yes, that is that is one of the, my mine, my mine was, uh, I did go into Jira that said dashboard internship or whatever, you know, same thing. I mean, you can check the homework there. There's no, I know the correct one is internship, whatever. That's the one I need to get set up on.

Yep. So, let's start from the beginning. Yeah, we will be working, uh, in this Jira internship-solution.us. Uh, probably on the learning part, you had like some previous Jira, like MQA, something, something, right?

We will be working in the new Jira. You need that one. What are you, are you using? Please let me ask one question. Let, are you using laptop or mobile phone?

I'm on a laptop. So, here's, I'm asking, could you just reset my credentials, and I'm going to go into the insure internship Jira and resign up. If you could just reset that.

You probably need to log out from your previous Jira, to log out from it, and you need to check the invitation on the email to this Jira. So, I sent you a few invitations to the mail. Uh, you should have something from Atlassian. Uh, it is a company that is creating Jira, and you need to click on the invitation, creating new account, and etc., etc.

Okay. Okay. Uh, that's what I'm saying. Could you send me another invitation? But that's okay. I hear what you're saying. I mean, you can't. Okay. Yeah, I, I can, I can do that. I.

I don't. Yeah. Uh, okay. I don't have access to your previous Jira, so I nothing there. So.

I've already tried to do that. I've already tried to do that. And it gave me some problem in in in trying to sign, you know, up. That's why I said if you sent me another link, maybe I could, but I don't know. Let me just, I'll try it. I'll try it.

Yeah. Yeah. Try it. Right. Yeah. Yeah. Try to do it. Uh, don't be frustrated. Don't be nervous. Everything is okay. We have like a bunch of time. If you will have issues, just message me in Slack with screenshots, with steps, what you did, and etc.

It's just, it's just weird because the only way I would have signed up from for Jira initially was from the link that you sent. Okay. And then all of a sudden my credentials are different. So, I've only signed up from the link. I've only signed up for Jira from the link that you initially sent me.

Okay. So, how it reverted to another version? Because maybe, maybe because you were already logged in to the previous one, it was, uh, like it redirected you to the new one and something like that. Uh, I don't know exact steps, so I need to see it. U maybe you can create a video and send it to me so I can check what is going.

Well, here I'm going to just put it right here in the, uh, I'll put it right here to, I sent it to you right here. You can send me to the Slack because in Zoom it is not like.

No, Slack. Ah, okay. Yeah. Okay. So, not to waste time now. Okay. I will check it after the meeting, like half an hour, something like this, and I will, uh, yeah, uh, send you the answer and, yeah, will check what is going on. So, yeah, try to log out, try to use new link. I will also resend you the new invitation to this one, the proper one, and, yeah, we will see what is going on. Uh, in any case, we will find the solution. Maybe we will, we can try to use some different email. So, but it will be, um, like, you know, our backup.

Okay. Cool. Uh, yeah, uh, see some question, but I do have a question. While we are in the interview, are we using this form as a resume builder for our interviews? Meaning, when we go to the interview, will we be able to use the form to show body of the work for the experience?

Uh, you mean, uh, checklist, test cases, bug tickets, etc., etc. Uh, you can, uh, yeah, you can save it, basically. Yeah. But always on the job interviews, you just need to answer the questions, and that's it. Um, sometimes, uh, yeah, for example, you have some already some experience in some company, but you sign the NDA, so you can't show like code and etc., right? So, that means that not common practice to show like test cases and etc. So, always it is just questions that you need to answer on the interview. But in any case, you can store all the checklist, test cases, all the document, all the documentation that you will be creating. So, yeah. Francis, let me know if I answered your question.

The reason that I asked that question is because one of our, um, final lessons, um, I, I think it was Sophia, she recommended that we document everything, I guess, I'm assuming within the company, but, um, I understand what you're saying about the NDA and all of that. Um, and it does make sense to just answer the questions. Um, but I guess I'm kind of getting not mixed up, but I'm listening to what she said about documenting everything, and also in my experience going on interviews, they want you to, you know, show that you know what you're talking about. I get you talk about the situations and the test cases, they ask you questions, you answer it, but I guess you have answered my question. So I just wanted to make sure I'm not missing, you know, saving documentation to, you know, sort of give reference or examples of what we, what we know how to do. So I guess in just answering a simple question, we would learn that or we would express that in the interview.

Yeah. So, everything will be stored in the Jira, and in any case, you have like a bunch of time to save it, whatever you want, uh, to your Google Drive, on locally, to your laptop or desktop. So, yeah, don't worry about that. Uh, cool, cool. So, uh, let's go back to the task. So, we know how to create a separate file, right? How to start with the checks. Uh, you need to create the checks, right? Then you need to click to the progress checkboxes, that means that you did your check, and then you need to create a select a status, pass or fail. Pass, it is self-explanatory, right? Um, everything is good, everything, uh, is working correct. Fail, we have a bug. In this case, you need to create a bug ticket. Uh, in the task, we have instruction how to create a bug ticket. Uh, uh, I see we also kind of out of time, but yeah, uh, we have instruction in the task how to create a bug ticket. I want you to check it in a few words. How to create a bug ticket? You need to click on the blue button, create blue button. Uh, issue type should be bug. Project should be Really Board 10. In the summary, you are describing the title of the bug ticket. What is wrong? In the description, you put steps to reproduce, expected result, and, uh, expected result and actual result, right? Uh, also, you can put preconditions, can choose priority, your environment with browser, right? Desktop, mobile, and your system, like, Android or Windows in your browser, and attachments. Uh, then you can link to your, uh, task, relates to, where it is here, it is relates to, and you could put the number of the task, for example, RBS 440. This is how you can link it. So, yeah, this is how you create a bug ticket, then you can move it to the for review column. Very important, last and very important stuff. When you will finish your checklist, you need to send it to the task. Here in the comments, we have add comment button. We need to, uh, send link to our checklist in our task. Only after this, you can move it to the for review column. How to do it? Uh, you have share button in the, uh, spreadsheet. You need to click on it, and by default, it is restricted. You need to change it for the anyone with the link, and only this, uh, after this, also you can put editor only. After this, you can click copy link, and then go to the Jira and paste link here. Don't forget to click add button. And after this, move it to the for review column. Uh, yeah, guys, let me know if you have questions. Um, so, yeah, as I see, we kind of out of time, but in any case, let me know if everything is clear about this task. Cool, cool, cool, cool, cool. Yeah, good. Uh, so, uh, done. We are done for today. Uh, if you will have questions, message me in Slack. Jacine, yeah, keep me updated. We'll check your video. So, have a great day ahead. See you, uh, on Wednesday. Yeah, David.

Hey, Stan. Uh, before you go, I appreciate everything you walked us through here. Now, once we send it, will we have this? Will you be, you know, done to review it by by the next time or or will you review it?

When you, okay, you will send it to the for review on Wednesday. I will do the meeting, and during Wednesday and Thursday, I will review your checklist, something like this.

Okay. So, we'll have. All right, man. I appreciate it, man. Have a wonderful day. Thanks, Dan. Appreciate it.

Cool. Cool. You too. So, thank you everyone. Have a good day. Bye-bye.
