Adamisam. He met Allah. He spoke to Allah. He learned from Allah. They saw the heavens, then they came down and established a believing Muslim community. Muslim meaning submitted fully. And they established the community like that.
Then paganism came afterwards. This time around, it was the opposite. It's as if Allah said, "We'll give you 10 generations' head start, and you'll still lose. We give you 10 generations. We won't send a single prophet." So El's order was established. And that's why you go to Mexico, the Greeks, the Romans, the Egyptians, the Chinese. All people at this time end up in the same place: a pantheon of gods that they worship, and priests or wizards or what have you.
So this is why I titled this section "World of Demons" because the whole world was living in this order. And an idol represents this unseen, what they consider a god, but it's actually a jin. And none of them actually attributed absolute that that they never had one god who's in charge of everything. If you notice, like Zeus and who else is in there? Poseidon. All these, each one of them is responsible to one. It's a council. So their conception of Rubia was off. Rubia means absolute lordship of everything. They didn't have this concept. Zeus was had a limit. Poseidon had powers, but he had a limit. And they had feuds, and they would trick each other and do all sorts of things with each other. This is present in all these societies when Ibraimisam came to the world.
So now the ben is in a sense were were um protected from that world, living by themselves as monotheists, as believers in Canaan. They're about to be exposed to the whole world now, and they're about to move into Egypt, which is the biggest land at that time for all this paganism. And the pharaohs were huge pagans, as we're going to see when we talk about Moses and the nine plagues that affect Moses, or 10 plagues depending on the different uh versions of the story. And the Quran lists about four or five, but amongst these four or five, it's like multiple different plagues in one. Each of these plagues is actually uh a negation of a different god that they worship. So like the god of of of beauty. So how do how do we show that your god is limited?
So then Allah sent them boils. Everyone got it's like a plague that came. Everyone was getting pimples everywhere and boils, and they were bloody. Faces were bloody. Everyone was bloody because of this. And they started calling on their god of beauty. Hathor was the primary ancient Egyptian goddess of beauty and fertility, known as the mistress of beauty and the golden one. She was worshiped throughout Egypt. This idol was depicted as a woman with cow ears and a sundisk, or as a full cow. When Allah sent down his punishment upon these pagans, they called out to their god of beauty, and that god couldn't couldn't answer them. So that was the whole point. The point is to show is why anything is worthy of worship is because it's an absolute power.
So the miracles of prophets come to negate the of these jin by showing them your jin is limited. If he's limited, he's not worthy of worship. One of the logic behind why Allah is worthy of worship is because he's in charge of everything. He needs nobody. California. For you. Foreign. Fore! Foreign! Foreign! Beh to to show that you shouldn't worship this god or this demon or this powerful thing. Yes, it's powerful. Jin are more powerful than us in some ways. We're not negating that. And these demons existed. We're not negating that. But they're not worthy of worship.
So Allah's brought prophets to have miracles that would negate what they thought was in the control of that demon. So, as we're going to see in Egypt, you had the god of beauty. All right, everyone's got a bloody face. Where's the beauty? You have a god of healing. Heal these people who have boils all over their face. You had a god of of the air. All right, we'll send you flies. There flies everywhere. So where's call on the god of air?
We're going to see that Elijah does the same exact thing. Elias when the northern kingdom of Israel goes astray. They go astray and they start worshiping Baal, an ancient god. So he does a moubah type of thing, and he brings their priests and him by himself. And the the deal is we're going to put a bull. We're going to slaughter a bull, put it on a stone. And in the old days, if God accepted it, it would burn. It would catch fire. Okay? So to show that what you are worshiping has limits, therefore not worthy of worship. That was why the ancient world was a world of a council of false gods than a prophet to show that your false gods are limited. Okay? And so this is the world that the Benny is are about to enter into. They're about to enter into epic wars with shamans, priests, and as we're going to see here that uh the to have a god was a norm back in the day. To have an idol was a norm. And in the same way that like nationalism today is a norm. The idea of having an ethnic origin and n nationalistic identity is a norm. To have an ideology today is a norm. So when Muslims go astray, alhamdulillah, we don't fall into shirk, but we do lean towards whatever the world is going. If the whole world has a certain ideology, you'll find most of the intellectual Muslims who are maybe not strong in their deen, just following that same ideology as everyone else.
The ben is fought but prophet and the and the Romans. And the Romans took on Christianity, although it wasn't the right it was in fact anti-demon and anti-pagan. At least like externally, so the Romans pushed out a lot of devil worship from the western world, and then Islam did more of that. And on top of that, in Islam, Allah gifted the prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam something which was that, and gifted our um with that the jin will no longer be able to uh to listen into the future. Since in the past, the jin would travel all the way up to the heavens, sit almost like uh at the doorstep of the heavens, hear about the future, come down, tell tell the shaman. The shaman will they'll tell the king. The king would have a victory because he knew the future. Okay, then he's bought. We got him now. We got him addicted to our stuff. Now that he's addicted, now we can abuse him. Okay, he saw I gained a lot by listening to the shaman. Now the shaman goes back to that same demon, and the demon starts playing games with him, telling him false things. So as the prophet sallall alaihi wasallam said, they tell him one truth and 10 lies, just to to mess with them. So now he tell the king, the shaman will tell tell the king, all right, if you want to next know the next year's future and what's going to happen, you got to build an idol like this, you got to establish this worship, you got to tell this story, etc. Okay, fine. He does that. What's next? He tells him a lie, and the king falls into a calamity, and the jin just laughing at him because that's what they want to do. They want to see you humiliated. They hate humans. And that was so that was the world.
So we're protected from that. So we're now living in a world that's so different from the previous world. And as we read the stories of Ben is the backdrop on the world of demons is something important, critical for you to have. Otherwise, it's just going to sound very simplistic and almost like a fable. And in a sense, a lot of the old world sounds like a fable to us today because a lot of these factors don't exist. The jin have no power over people anymore because they can't know the future. They're 100% wrong all the time. Whereas in the past, sometimes they knew the truth and they said it, and the shaman obviously was elevated and he had power. That's the main asset that they had. They knew the future. And secondly, the Tawhid and the heavenly books have spread. So they've limited them.
