God ends the lives of millions of people by his own hand. Yet in the New Testament, Jesus is described as just and all loving.
"Cuz you said, 'I want to know wisdom and I want to know knowledge.'"
"I guess my own point that is."
"Give her back the Bible." [laughter] "We're back the Bible. You think I'm done, bro?"
"I guess the only thing that concerns me is if..."
"Hello, my name is Bianca. It's a pleasure to meet you."
"Nice to meet you."
"Um, so I wrote everything down just so that I'm not stuttering here."
"No worries."
"Um, but before I begin leading up to my question, I want to start by saying that I don't mean to offend anyone in their beliefs or their own relationships with Christ. But I crave knowledge and wisdom. And a part of that crave is challenging my belief to either learn something new or to confirm my belief. I've been on my journey with Christ for almost 2 years now. I got baptized. I serve at a church every week and I pray all day every day. I enjoy picking apart religion versus faith, scripture versus conspiracies, and I haven't yet mastered scripture, but I know enough to understand that the enemy will do everything that he can to turn us away from God. And it's important for us to know what is written and wear our armor so we can remain untouched. I learned about yoga and chakra, astral projecting, demonic, and they all have demonic origins. This led me further into my investigation where I found a gentleman named Billy Carson. He picks apart scripture and compares it to historical texts that were written before the Bible that are inclusive in scripture. And these historical texts are dated before Jesus Christ walked the earth. Yet, it is included in the New Testament. This is also inclusive to the King James books that are written by the same author who also has other books written about witchcraft. Yet, that's also inclusive in the Bible. I believe that science and the Bible complement each other. And I believe that parts of the Bible are meant for good, but it may be twisted by man for their own personal gain or enslavement. Tucker Carson makes the following points that made me question my beliefs. He quotes scripture that states that slaves are to serve their masters. I question if this could be a way for higher powers to have control and we willingly comply. He states how God ends the lives of millions of people by his own hand throughout scripture when the enemy is responsible for none. Yet in the New Testament, Jesus is described as just and all loving. Yahweh is named Jesus in scripture. Let the Yet the letter J wasn't invented or known until long after his passing. These examples lead me to believe that the Bible's teaching may be controlled or altered by higher governs who don't give us the full story, potentially to avoid believers from tapping into a deeper understanding. And I fear that my faith is intertwined with religious practices given to us by man for demonic purposes. I find myself lost searching for the truth. I fear for my relationship with Christ and I want to stay faithful, but I want to put my faith into what was truly meant for all of us. I believe in God, our creator. I believe in the son of God, Jesus. I fear I only fear man getting in between what knowledge the Bible constrs, cherrypicking scriptures to control the masses. Have you looked into the history of scripture? And how can we as believers reconcile text, beliefs, stories that are included in the Bible but originated in other historical texts before the Bible was authored?"
"So that's a very very good and very deep question." [music] "That's like 10 questions in one."
"Sorry."
"So let me try. No, it's okay. I picked up on everything you said though. Uh for that I have one um question and then a follow-up question. How many times have you actually read the Bible?"
"I read it almost weekly. I try to stay in scripture as often as I can."
"But how long have you been a Christian?"
"Well, I grew up Catholic, so I have all of my sacraments. Um, not inclusive in marriage, but..."
"How old are you now?"
"I'm 26. Um..."
"So you're 26 collectively in those 26 years. How many times have you read the Bible front to back?"
"Well, I didn't start reading scripture until I uh transitioned into Christianity. When was that? And so that was 2 years ago."
"So in those two years, how many times have you completed the Bible?"
"Completed it?"
"Yeah."
"Never."
"Okay. So [music] that's the problem, right?"
"We cannot understand context if we've never completed something. Does that make sense?"
"It does."
"I cannot teach trigonometry by even just reading a trigonometry book [music] once. And that's man-made. Imagine the Bible that they say is divine. Make sense? So [music] because you're going down all of these rabbit holes respectfully, that's why you're not able to complete the Bible and you're lost. Okay? God says, 'I am not an author [music] of confusion.'"
"But truthfully, sister, there's a lot of confusion here. Right? Who do I trust? See, what you're attributing to scripture is actually incorrect only in one thing. Christianity was used to, you know, race bait and also uh condone slavery. [music] Christianity, which was religion, was used to kill people. Right?"
"You have [music] to understand though that people twist scripture for their own gain, which is true, but that's man who did that. [music] It wasn't God who did that. Okay? Number one. Number two, I will show you that the Bible is written by God with one verse. Can I [music] show you that?"
"Please."
"Genesis 6:5. Anybody got a Bible?"
"Please. Thank you."
"Ask for the same Bible I have. That's gangster."
"Okay. Genesis 6:5. [music] And God saw that the wickedness of the man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil [music] continually."
"Okay, let's break that down. Read it carefully with me. And God saw that the wickedness [music] of man was what?"
"Was great in the earth."
"In the earth. And that every right..."
"imagination of the thoughts of his heart was what?"
"Only..."
"only [singing] evil continually."
"So every means what sister?"
"Every person being thing..."
"all."
"If I say I want everything on the menu, it means I want it all."
"Oh, right."
"Every imagination, every thought, every part of [music] his heart."
"Now, show me a man-made book that says every thought that you have is evil."
"I can't."
"Exactly. Only God can write that. [music] Understand? Every thought that I have, I have good thoughts. What do you mean? When I look at myself, I have good thoughts. Right? When I think good things, I love my mom. I love my homies. Like, how is that an evil thought? Right? When I see it, all of my heart is evil. No. There's people who I love. There's people who I'll die for. That's coming from a position of love. Would you agree?"
"Yes."
"That's how I see it. Give her back the Bible. [laughter] Give her back the Bible. You think I'm done, bro? Tripping. Genesis 6:5."
"Okay. [music]"
"Now, you see it and I see it. Do you think all of your thoughts are evil, sister?"
"No."
"No. Right. You have good thoughts, right?"
"Yes."
"And all of your heart. Is it all evil? Are you just black inside?"
"No."
"No. Right. That's how you see it. That's how I see [music] it. But read the first three words of that verse."
"And God saw that wickedness of a man."
"First three words. [music]"
"First three words."
"First three words. And God saw."
"So when you see something versus when God sees something, is it the same or is it different?"
"No."
"Amen. That's [clears throat and music] how you know. God is telling us babies are born evil too because of Romans 5:12. Understand? Do you think babies are born evil?"
"No."
"Okay. That's [music] the difference between the Bible and us. It never matches our thoughts. Never matches our hearts. That's why God says, 'Your thoughts are not my thoughts. Your ways are not my ways.' Very simple. Understand?"
"I do."
"Right. So, sister, [applause] don't read the Bible to understand the Bible because you want to know knowledge and wisdom. [music] Would you agree? Go to 1 Corinthians 1:4. I'm going to show you the..."
"Bible. You guys..."
"I know. I'm going to show you what knowledge and wisdom is. Okay."
"I'm so sorry."
"Cuz you said, 'I want to know wisdom and I want to know knowledge.'"
"While he's searching for that, I just I do want to ask, how do you reconcile certain scriptures being taken out of the Bible?"
"Oh, that's why I go to KJV or I read it in Hebrew, Aramaic, Coney Greek. So, you really want to do something, learn Hebrew, Aramaic, learn Coney Greek, learn words like, pistas, telsti, things like this, and you'll start to learn. [music]"
"I guess the only thing that concerns me is if enough generations die off, how exactly are they going to be able to tell whether or not the scripture is [music] accurate? Because sister, you're trusting your thoughts. These are all hypotheticals. It makes sense, [music] right? But you have to what you're asking for God is 100%. [music] That's what you're asking for. Let me ask you something. Do you apply that to every every part of your life?"
"No."
"When you start your car, I'm 100% certain I combusted this, tested this cylinder that it's not going to explode in my face. When you go to Chick-fil-A and you eat that sanctified chicken, right, are you like, 'Oh, I've have my little test right here. It's 100%.' Would you agree? You don't do that."
"I guess to argue against my own point that is the opposite of what faith..."
"exactly. [music]"
"So your heart sister is that you trust yourself. You believe even though you've converted for 2 years, there's a thought that Satan has planted inside of you that you can understand scripture. But if you could understand, you'd be in your Bible all the time. Do you understand what I'm saying, sis?"
"Satan does this to everybody, not just you. Me, too. Johnny, you're smart. You know everything. you can pick apart God's things even though you're not there. You can research enough to figure it out, right? And then what you stop doing is you close your Bible. You start to go on Google and you start to just research and research and research and research. And now forces are being poured inside of you and you don't even know it. And that's why you're being confused. Make sense? I want to free you from that today. [music]"
"That's why I'm explaining this. So let's read 1 Corinthians 1:4, which tells you who is the knowledge and the wisdom. cuz you wanted knowledge and wisdom, right? Let's focus. [music]"
"Okay. But onto them which are called both Jews and Greeks, Christ, the power of God, and the wisdom of God."
"Who's the power of God and the wisdom of God?"
"Christ."
"So if you want to have wisdom, you just got to focus on Jesus. That's what he's saying. Amen."
"Amen. Amen."
"Thank you, brother. Amen. [music] All right. [applause]"
