Hello Kireth here and welcome to the Gran Turismo 7 driver Academy. Whether you're new to Gran Turismo 7, whether you've been playing for a while but you want to increase your driver rating. I regularly race and sometimes I win in the top split daily races online in Gran Turismo 7.

In this series, I'm going to show you everything you need to know to increase your pace in Gran Turismo 7. We're going to start here today with cornering. It's the most fundamental skill of any racing driver and we're going to use Parabolica and Monza as an example. Why Parabolica? I've won so many races at Monza where it's come down to incredible pressure at Parabolica, either keeping someone behind or trying to overtake into the last lap or something like that, and it's a very, very, very difficult corner to do right.

Here we are in the Aston. Have a look at my inputs at the bottom of the screen. That is a key bit for you to have a look at. Have a look at the brake, the steering, and the throttle. I'm breaking here in a straight line down, sacramentally, and bleeding off the brake now up to third gear, following the apex around, and I'm feeding it in now.

That car just absolutely wants to go. I'm going to break it down for you now. We're going to break it down. Let's do it. Right here we go. Here's the secret sauce. I'm going to show you. Here's how to absolutely nail a corner in Gran Turismo 7. I'm going to pause it in key moments. Have a look here. We're going to break just for the hundred. So we're breaking now, just at the 100 mark, very forcefully. And have a look at my steering input, exactly in the middle. If I were to start steering now into the corner, I would just be asking the tires to do too much. I'd either lock up or I'd spin the car, do something that I don't want to do. At the moment, I just want to decelerate the car. That's it. And the best way to do that at this point in time is to break in a straight line. So, in a straight line, maximum break.

Now I see as I get to the 50, so from the 150, I'm going to start to turn into the corner. And as I start to turn in, this is what you're going to find really interesting. I'm going to start coming off the brake. The more I turn. So have a look at the red dot and have a look at the brake indicator. So I'm turning, turning, turning, and I see now I start coming off that brake. So we're kind of halfway turning, we're halfway on the brake. I start turning more, we even more of the brake. And now I'm doing maximum turning and I'm barely on the brake. And you see at this point, I'm off the brake and I'm not really on the throttle. I'm just letting the car do its thing.

So if you're watching this and you struggle to get around corners, that you hear a lot of tire squeal, you're understeering, I strongly suspect this is your issue. And by the way, let me know in the comments if this video is helping you. Please like and subscribe if you want to support what I'm doing on the channel. But I really strongly spell that's what you're doing. If you're at this point in the corner and you're on a throttle, you will understeer. You will understeer, your cause of back end to do weird stuff. At this point, we just want to coast.

You see on the right hand side, there's this sort of pole with some lights in it. I'm going to go past that pole and then I'm going to accelerate. So you see I'm just coasting it now. In between that pole and the pole coming up now, that's when I like to get on the power fully. So you can see here, I've identified that and I'm getting on the power fully. Have a look at my red dot. This car is so tricky to drive. If you saw my video when we tuned this car and upgraded it, so tricky to drive, very difficult to be on full throttle here because the car is deploying so much power. I can't remember how much horsepower this thing has, but it's ridiculous. And I'm having to be very careful with my red dot. I'm sensing when the car wants to go and I'm straightening it up because if I apply too much lock with this amount of power, the car will just want to let go.

So you can see I know how far I've got to go on the left hand side. I don't want to go too much past this white line because it starts to get dirty and I lose grip. And you can see here I'm just managing. Look at that red dot, just managing it. Let me play this at full speed for you. So have a look at all this in full speed. And this is all there is to cornering, by the way. This is all there is. So if you're looking to find time, right here we go. And the reason I went into third gear was to just stabilize the car on the exit. Often coming at Parabolica, you're going to higher gear than you think.

So let me know this video helped you. Let me know if you want to see more videos in the Gran Turismo 7 Driver Academy on the Kireth Cut YouTube channel. Some more videos around here that may help you. But otherwise, hope really hope you enjoyed it. Really hope you get faster by learning these tips and I'll see you next time.
