If you feel like your face is sagging, then stop looking at your skin and start looking at what's underneath it, namely your fascia, your connective tissue. As a professional facialist, I have seen thousands of women trying to fix sagging with anti-aging creams and serums and different procedures, but they're missing the real problem, which is their fascia, their connective tissue.
So, today I'm going to show you this rolling technique. It's a fascia release technique. This is going to unglue your fascia and give you a natural lift without Botox or fillers. So, let's do this together.
You're going to place your hand here on your chest. And the main thing is that you don't want to just only grab a tiny bit of skin like this. You want to actually as as much as possible tissue, a thick roll of muscle and fascia. And sometimes this uh can be difficult, especially when you haven't done it before, but just do your best. Grab as much tissue as you can.
Dry off any oil, any kind of cream, because if your skin is oily, then you won't have the grip to do this rolling technique properly. So, you're going to press with your thumbs from the bottom up, and your index fingers are just going to roll up. And the biggest mistake that I see people doing is just literally just taking a little bit of skin and doing something like this. It's not going to do a lot if you just do it this way. Half baked rolling of the skin. No, we are grabbing a good amount of tissue.
If need be, you can bend your head a bit to the side as you're going through the neck. And then we are going to start working our way up. And this is especially important to do that if you are starting to feel like your jawline is softening and you're getting wrinkles along your neck and jowls. You're thinking maybe it's time to get Botox. Maybe I should just get a little bit of filler to fix this. But time is unfortunately not on our side here. And our fascia as we age gets more and more dehydrated every single day. So we don't have time to waste. We need to start working on our fashca unstick and unglue it as soon as possible.
As you come up here, make sure you don't drag down on the eye. Don't do what I just did. Instead, you want to press up with your thumbs and your index fingers are just holding. The pressure I'm applying is quite strong because obviously I've been doing this for years to clients and to myself. So, my my my body is used to it. But for you, you might just want to grab a good amount of tissue, but maybe not press as hard also because your fingers, you might get a little bit tired more quickly than me in terms of what the work uh that your hands are doing.
So, we have moved a little bit to the side from where we just did. Now, we are around a couple of inches to the to the side, and we're doing the same thing. We're pressing up with the thumbs and our index fingers are walking. Think of your fascia, your connective tissue like leather. If you just let it sit constantly without moving, without softening, at some point it's going to get very rigid and dried up. And the same goes for your connective tissue, for the fascia. If you don't release the tension, then your fascia muscle will continue to pull your skin down just because they are dried up and and brittle. That's going to make the sagging more permanent and it's going to be harder to fix as the time goes on. Important that you start doing this.
Let's move a little bit further. We are not just doing this to look younger and love our face more today. We are doing this so that 5 years down the line we don't wake up and look in the mirror and wonder where our jawline has gone and why our cheeks have started melting downwards. So this routine, this technique is your preventative maintenance to keep your face lifted on the long term.
And for those of you who don't know me, my name is Leah. I'm 43. You're I'm 43 years old. I've been doing this kind of fascia work uh and facial massage for 7 years. I've done thousands of facials and I've also obviously been working on my own face. And basically the whole purpose and mission of this channel is to show you that you can lift your face without Botox, without fillers, without surgery. Keep your features lifted as long as possible using just your hands.
As you come up here on the temples, it might start to feel a little bit more difficult to grab. The hair is getting in the way. Grab the tissue. The way that this area is sometimes really sticky and some people find it really hard to grab it. If you can't grab it, you're just going to slide up and do your best. But if you can grab it, then grab it and work your way up. It's going to lift up the corners of your eyes as well. And you can go up into the hairline even here as much as you can until you can't grab any more. Nice.
Are you ready for the second side? What we're doing here, place your fingers again a little bit more towards the center. We're going to start working our way up, pushing with the thumbs and working our index fingers up. If need be, tilt your head a bit so that you can easier roll over your collar bones and roll over your neck. This is basically us preventing to inject Botox and paralyzing our muscles. When a muscle stops moving, then the fascia underneath it becomes even thicker and even more glued down because there is no movement. There is no glide. Imagine it adds like a car that sits in the garage for 5 years without being touched. Obviously, parts are going to get rusty, parts are going to be seized up. So, we are doing this kind of work to prevent that.
Notice how I'm pulling up with my thumbs and walking with my fingers and pressing at the same time. By the way, if your hands are getting tired, feel free to pause the video. Take a little break. Shake out your hands. I'd prefer you take a break and continue doing this with a bit more strength in in your fingers so that you can do it properly rather than just going through it quickly and doing it more or less. You're going to have the best benefits from this if you try and do it really well, grabbing, pressing with the fingers together and rolling it up.
When you inject Botox, you're basically smoothing a wrinkle, but you are making the underlying fascia more dehydrated, tighter, and heavier, which is worse on the long term. And by the way, the expensive creams and serums, they can't reach the fascia either. So, if we want a lift that lasts and actually looks natural, we need to stop bypassing the problem with needles and then stick the fascia with our hands.
Now, as we do this, I want you to stop thinking about your skin as a skin problem cuz most people think that a sagging skin is due to age or just your skin getting tired and loose. But as I just explained, your skin is just a top layer. Finishing off strong. And let's move on to our third line. Just a little bit more outside. Remember, we're not just rubbing the surface here. We are ungluing layers.
This is not stretching the skin. I know many of you will think, "Oh, I'm stretching my skin." This is not about stretching the skin. That's why I told you, don't just hold skin and do something like this. This what I see online everywhere. people just literally doing it wrong. That's why I felt like this was such an important video to show you the right way of doing it. You want to grab as much as you possibly can and then roll it slowly, intentionally up, pressing and releasing the muscle and hydrating the fascia.
Making space by using this rolling technique. You're making space for the skin, for the fascia, for the muscles. The second you create that space, the blood flow starts flushing in. Lymph starts moving, metabolic processes are ignited, your fascia gets hydrated, and that stiff mask underneath your skin literally can melt away. And that's when your face is finally free to sit back up where it belongs.
So here again temple area sometimes is a bit harder. Many of you have very stiff connective tissue and tightness it's a bit harder to grab. Do your best and if you can't then just for now slide up. If you can grab a roll then grab it and go up as long as you can until you lose your roll even into your hairline. We are resetting our foundation. Our foundation for lifted and bright face. Nice.
Now, we've done the cheeks, the jaw, the neck, but I want to do the front here as well because I know that many of you are worried about the double chin and sagas around here. So, let's fix that as well. Grab again another thick roll down here and start working your way up. And as we are finishing off this routine, I challenge you to notice maybe right now after you've done it or tomorrow when you wake up if your skin feels your face feels a bit more firm, a little bit more lifted already. And come back to this video and please leave me a comment and let me know how you feel. Let me know if you feel that your fascia is waking up around here.
If you pull your head up, it's going to be difficult to work through this area. So, we're going to keep the chin tucked. So, we can work this out as well. Let's do the center line here. One more time. Going up, up, up.
Remember, I have a full program with 42 techniques all for releasing fascia and muscle tension to lift and smooth your face. I'm going to link that in the first comment so that you can check it out. is called the 15-minute face lift. And it gives you a different routine for every day of the week. You're working on your shoulders, neck, head, and all the different muscles and areas of your face as well. And so good. I'm sure you're going to love it. So, I have a look made with much love and all the knowledge that I've collected over the last 7 years.
So, now that we are done, let's press a few times to calm down the tissue. I can definitely feel a bit of a vibration and tingling sensation around the back of my neck, down my spine, behind my ears. Definitely things are starting to move for me. So, when you do this deep work with the fascia, you might feel different sensations, and that's completely normal.
Imagine waking up next week, looking in the mirror after having done this for 7 days and actually seeing your jawline being defined, the corners of your eyes lifted, brows a bit higher, no puffiness, just a sculpted, more defined face. This is what is in it for you. Do it for 7 days, 10 minutes a day, your fascia and stuck. And I will see you soon for the next video. That's
