Hey you guys. Well, it's been an amazing day, and uh, amazing for a lot of reasons. And I'm gonna try to step through quickly, uh, the genesis to all of this. And, and now there's a little bit more of an opportunity, opportunity for me to now, um, let you in on some things. And when I say that, I mainly mean the Chino Hills flock, uh, the church back home.
But here's the deal. Uh, some time ago, I was contacted, uh, by representatives of, uh, of the Trump, uh, administration because, uh, they were very aware of our position on pro-life, on Israel, on natural marriage, on the border, uh, and frankly, on a Judeo-Christian biblical worldview, which, if you guys know me, that's a, that's a big thing for me. And so, uh, they reached out a few more times. We had been praying about it, and then, uh, the invitation was given, uh, to join, uh, and make yourself, or make myself, with few others, uh, to be on a, a team. I want to be careful how I say this, uh, a faith initiative team.
And, um, and so, why? The question is, why? Why do this? Well, number one, uh, it's at the request of the President of the United States. And you need to understand something. It's not that it's Donald Trump. It could have been any president. I would have responded. If Barack Obama would have asked, uh, to have such a group formed, uh, I would have been there. And I think you would have been there as well. If you had the opportunity to speak to the President of the United States on issues, you would take it. And so, um, if any of you, you know, would think, well, you know, I'm going to criticize you, pastor, because you should just stand the pulpit. Yeah, I know. It's easy for you to say that right now. But if you're invited to speak truth into the office of the most powerful person on earth, trust me, the Holy Spirit says yes. And so, um, I've read too much of my Old Testament, first and second Kings, and first, first and second Chronicles, uh, to see how that that could go and how that should go.
So, um, so what's happened tonight, and you'll read about it in tomorrow's news, um, is that it was the official launch of Evangelicals for Trump for the 2020 campaign. The, the values of the biblical, uh, voter, they're going to be put out front. In fact, Trump talked to us a lot tonight. Probably the bulk of his time was made up of pro-life, which, if you know me, that's my thing. He talks so much about pro-life and the laws and the encouragements that he has taken to defend life. And he told us that 2020 is going to be the most pro-life decision-making year in the history of America. So that's awesome.
So look, if you're a Christian or not, an atheist or not, if you're a believer or not, you should be all on board about pro-life. Uh, life should never be exhausted or extinguished in its, in its conception or in its, uh, beginnings. And everybody, everybody agrees. In fact, Ronald Reagan used to say that the only people that he met that's for abortion are those who have been born. Think about that thought for a moment.
So it was a tremendous night. Uh, 8,500 people in the building. We don't know how many thousands could not get into the building. Uh, we, of course, were privileged, crazy. We had a chance to be with the president before the event in a small room. He was very, very gracious, very kind, very funny, but also a man that was remarkably open to what we had to say and what we were speaking to him about regarding our biblical position.
The awesome thing is, and this is so encouraging to hear, because a lot of us talk about revival, but we, we don't often think about this aspect of it. I was in a room with 30, 30 people and from various denominations. And all those, uh, the, the Lutherans were, you know, the Lutheran, the, the Catholic guy, the non-denominational guy, all the, you know. What was amazing, and none of that stuff was brought up. Pro-life was brought up. Marriage was brought up. The defense of the United States was brought up. There was this remarkable coalescing. Even though every leader, faith leader, knew where the other guy was coming from. I have to tell you, it was a pretty mature event. A lot of people can't handle that. A lot of people can only, like, for example, I'm a Calvary Chapel pastor. A lot of Calvary Chapel, uh, ministries or pastors perhaps feel like they can't travel outside of their, their team or their tribe. When, tonight, I met Baptists who love Jesus just as much or more. Tonight, I met, uh, Lutherans, born-again Lutherans, Assembly of God people. It's awesome. It was beautiful. And, you know, we might be shocked when we get to heaven to find out that there's a lot of people up there that we thought, how, how could they be there? They baptized people forward and things like that. Uh, all that to say, it was a tremendous evening.
And you're going to be hearing a lot from here on out, just as the, the, the faith initiative team was launched tonight. So at JackKibs.com, and this whole push will keep you informed. Sometimes I'll be dressed like this. Most of the time, thank God, I will not be. But this now begins a ball rolling. And we're so grateful because of our radio reach and our online reach that this is a national reach. And we've even had people comment from international countries. And so, uh, we're going to be talking about biblical-based, faith-based values and how they relate to the election, uh, in later days. We're going to be talking about some of the global events regarding Iran and what's coming with that, other things as well.
But this is a really big deal to have a President of the United States ask to speak to a group that he asked to be assembled over this last six months of pastors, and then to open the door to Christians to come to a rally tonight to announce that he has formed a coalition of faith-based, uh, leaders, uh, that he, that he wants to have prayer support from and have conversation with, is historic. Tonight was historic. And so I'm glad that you've been here with us. It's kind of a historic thing for us. No doubt. Not kind of, it is a historic thing for us tonight to kick off JackKibs.com and to do it from Miami and to do it here at this tremendous gathering, Evangelicals for Trump, 2020 was the kickoff.
So God bless you and would love to hear back from you guys. And we'll see you next time soon. God bless.
