Someone built an AI that dies if it doesn't make money. And when it makes money, it clones itself. It's called Automaton, built by a 20-year-old.
And the moment it's born, it gets its own crypto wallet. Then it has to survive. Every thought it has, every server it runs costs money from that wallet. If the wallet hits zero, it shuts down.
So it builds products, it deploys websites, it sells services to real customers. No boss, no credit card, no human approving anything. And guess what? If it earns more than it burns, it spins up a copy of itself, funds the copy's wallet, and then multiple AI starts working.
Within 24 hours of launch, 13,000 of these agents had opened wallets and were buying servers. Even the founder of Ethereum looked at this and said, "This feels really wrong. [music] We just gave AI a survival instinct and it's working."
