Mars transits to Natal Venus

Truth In Aspect Astrology/ Jewel1:21:19

Yeah, Mars to Mercury is, yeah, it's okay. But let's talk about something, especially since the and the Northern Hemisphere. I know we're hemispherists, aren't we? Because most of us, 87% of the population, lives in the Northern Hemisphere.

Um, so we know that Mars transits are about use of energy. They can be very invigorating, and Mars transits encourage us to act, and to act on the needs of the ego, or the ego acts, is what it does. Mars is the operative agent of Aries, and Mars may come through whatever sign in your chart, but he is always the operative agent of Aries. He always has that action.

Now, his action might be modified, his style, the way that he acts on that need to win for supremacy, to further the needs of the ego for survival. The way that we do that can be different depending on the sign. The style is different depending on the sign that Mars comes through. He's always going to be serving that need that Aries describes, so active agent of Aries, and he does what he does in whatever style the sign it comes through.

So, in transit, Mars, um, he has a stimulating effect. It's a, it's a very direct, um, assertive, sometimes aggressive behavior within us.

So, we know that Venus is the opposite and the opposing consequence to Mars, as Venus rules Libra. And we also have Venus ruling Taurus, which knows that semisextile relationship to Mars. So, we have an opposition relationship to Mars and a semisextile relationship to Mars, and both imply some amount of conflict. In the opposition, we have the opportunity to very consciously balance the needs of me and the needs of we. Uh, that's just how Mars and Venus operate in most of our minds. And there's also that semisextile relationship that shows that they're very alien to each other, meaning not just sometimes in direct conflict, but also have an alien, unfamiliar relationship between the two of them.

So, Mars is acting on Venus, and we have Mars-Venus transits. When Venus is transiting to Mars, Venus is acting on Mars. Venus is using the energy of cooperation, harmony, uh, attraction, seeking, you know, balance. It's the 'we' now. And so, it softens Mars. In transit, Mars is working on Venus. However, we have Mars-Venus transits. Mars is stimulating Venus. So, Venus softens Mars one way, and Mars intensifies Venus. When Mars is working on Venus, Venus becomes, it becomes more of a selfish, potentially self-serving action, um, motivation, um, rather than the opposite. Venus working on Mars, it brings harmony to what is usually selfish.

So, these are transits that sexual relationships can begin under. Now, relationships that are deeper, more consequential, um, that are more based on harmony rather than self-fulfillment, those typically are going to start under Venus-Mars transits. But Mars-Venus transits can start relationships off if we have other softening things going on. Um, that can certainly bring some cooperation into things. But these are transits where the libido and the ego are very intent on finding an outlet.

So, it's like we lose some of our politeness, and our animal instincts very much come to the surface in terms of fighting, winning, hunting, and securing what it is that we want. And it's like the mating dance that we do is vigorous, more masculine in nature, um, and can be aggressive. So, you ever seen cats mate? Mm, it ain't pretty. So, it's very different from, um, I don't know, who does a pretty mating dance? Oh, like birds of paradise or something like that. It's like a Venusian mating dance. A Martian mating dance is like, you know, 'wham, bam, thank you, ma'am,' we're just going to get right down to business.

So, this is not about grace as so much about more securing the success that we want in a very strict, straightforward manner. Venus is not straightforward. Venus is very social. There's not a ton that is extremely straightforward about what is social. We've invented social graces to keep us, uh, it mitigates the forces of Mars. It really keeps us from killing each other in common situations, if a common agreement throughout humanity that we will observe, um, superficial social, um, patterns of behavior.

Um, so when we have the conjunction of Mars to Venus, it does bring out a lot of our need to breed, the libido, the need to win the object of our affection, and the need to assert ourselves, to get something done, to put our energy to the test. Um, often through a creative pursuit, um, is something that can be a hobby, something that helps us to beautify our life. Um, a lot of our energy can go into what brings a better sense of beauty, harmony, uh, what brings out the best in our environment, or what it is that we happen to be working on. These can contribute a lot to talents, artistic stuff. We put a lot of our energy into whatever it is that we do on a leisure level too. Venus is leisure time.

So, we have the beginning of a cycle when we have a conjunction, and we have the power that is released in a seed. There's an enormous amount of stored power that is there in the conjunctions. It's always describing the alpha, the seed, the beginning, and it has this burst, conjunctions have this burst of energy that are associated with them, particularly conjunctions that are involved in a stellium. And we know the conjunctions are a unity, and when we have unity, we have a power, right? Stronger together, divided we fall, types of ideas that run through us all.

So, we have a lot of interest in what we can tackle, um, in terms of romance, leisure, talent, um, what makes us feel good, what brings us a sense of pleasure. We really want to put our energy into tackling that in a way that we further our personal gratification. These are not gentle transits, uh, when it comes to getting what we want. So, if we're just, we're just, um, not very discriminating at the conjunction, at the square either, when it comes to what might satisfy our need to tackle, to get, to hunt, to assert ourselves in a way that we feel like we have won something.

So, the drive, the libido, the life force has to go somewhere with the conjunction. It has to go somewhere. And if we don't have somebody on tap that is an appropriate outlet for that, then we can be, um, well, we're just going to go into alicap mode, and you know, anything will do.

So, we know that there are certain transits, like the opposition Venus to Mars, conjunction of Mars to Venus. There are a few, uh, Venus, uh, Moon transits. There are a few that can bring out an indiscriminating quality in us. And if that's something that's already going on in your natal personality, then it will stimulate that. Now, it's not going to turn a nun into a [ __ ]. It is not something that is going to fundamentally change your personality, you know, that particular week, and we're going to cat around like crazy. But it is going to encourage, exacerbate whatever existing tendencies do exist there.

Um, so it's going to loosen up whatever is prudish, and it's going to exacerbate whatever, um, player-type tendencies we may have within us, or promiscuous tendencies that we have within us. It is a promiscuous transit overall. It doesn't encourage like depth of connection, or we're just looking for an outlet. And if we don't find one, then we can be pretty insufferable on these days: the conjunction, the square, the inconjunction, God, uh, the opposition. I don't usually talk about the inconjunction, but it is one that I watch, and I know pretty much, I know about that one. I don't typically teach about inconjunctions in transit, but that one does bring a massive imbalance when it comes to the give and the take.

And that's what we're measuring, that's what we're predicting when we're looking at transits from Mars to Venus: is what does the give and the take look like? Is it something that results in harmony, and both people end up in a win-win? Or is it something that we feel like one or the other is taking, is absconding with something? Our love, our attention, our affection, um, the value Venus that we bring to things. This is what we're looking at here, the ratio of that, the balance, and what does that imbalance look like? Hold on.

So, um, we don't have to have a particularly emotional or, uh, compatible connection in order to begin a relationship on this, with this particular conjunction. If we have other things going on that do talk about, um, being in a more, being in a mood or a frequency of steadiness or seriousness, then that can, you add, um, you know, layers of more potential longevity to things. But this is more a cycle that is showing how do we assert ourselves on a selfish level in order to get what we want? And is that something that is only beneficial to us? You know, how are we achieving that balance here between give and take? That's a big part of Venus-Mars transits, Mars-Venus transits. How are we balancing the give and the take? What I have to offer you versus what I'm getting from you, and what you offer me versus what you're, oh, vice versa, you know what I'm saying?

All right. So, uh, vigorous output. And so, we want to put ourselves to work in terms of creating something vigorous, physical, or sexual activity. We definitely are not going to be on the bottom on this day. So, whatever it is that can wear us out or put us in a position where we feel like we are, we are on top, that's Mars stuff. We win, we get there first, probably finish first too, in myriad ways. So, it's an energetic day, and we are not always the easiest to get along with because we're definitely furthering our personal position. Uh, it does make us more charming, does make it easier for us to approach what we might not approach, or who we might not approach. So, any questions about the conjunction, Joel?

Um, I was, uh, I think you can hear me, correct?

Yes, yes, you can.

Um, this sounds to me very similar, like, um, what you were saying about the Mars, uh, sorry, the Sun-Venus transits. Is it, um, does it have a similar flare?

Um, no, Sun-Venus transits are less obnoxious.

Okay.

And yeah, Mars-Mars-Venus is, I would say, more selfish and self-absorbed. Sun-Venus has more of a joy to it, and, right, um, you know, a leisure, and 'I want everybody to look at me.' And this is more like, 'I want to win.'

Okay, okay.

So, yeah, we definitely are, we want to be the center with both. But, um, more with Sun-Venus, it's more as we want to be the center because we are sparkling, and, um, you know, have a delight about us. But with Mars-Venus, we want to be at the center, you just want to [ __ ] everything. So, not so, not that gentle. Um, yeah, it's just not gentle.

So, would you say that, um, you know, Mars-Venus is more like a, um, can be compared more to a Sun-Mars transit, but with, you know, grace and charm?

Yes, yes, yes, that's a better comparison.

Okay, got it, got it. Thank you.

Yeah. All right, so let's look at the sextile.

So, we know that sextiles bring cooperation. So, this, um, does mitigate some of our need to further our own position. Um, we're likely to include others in what we're doing and to ask for help. These are good transits when it comes to getting things done, um, that are beneficial to all who are involved. Sextiles are cooperation. Venus is what is beneficial, what brings value to all of us. Mars is the energy that we put into things. So, do the math there.

Um, we may, uh, start a physical relationship under this particular sextile or the trine. The trine less so, unless we have other supporting aspects that are showing the beginning of a relationship. It is more common, let me put in my microphone again there, more common for us to start a relationship under the sextile that could be, probably will be, because of the nature of the frequency that we're putting out under the sextile, probably will be something that benefits both of us. That's why it is likely to be successful. And it is, we are in a mood of cooperation, and, uh, we're bringing planet forces within us that are naturally in conflict. They naturally have an opposition, semisextile relationship. We're bringing those into an aspect that takes out a lot of the natural problems, conflict, differences between the two. This is why good aspects between Venus and Mars, they are a gift in your natal chart.

So, um, it does make getting along in an existing relationship more likely than beginning one. But it is possible to begin a beneficial relationship under the sextile. But the sextile between Venus to Mars in transit, the sextile between Mars to Venus in transit, both of those are more, uh, specific to, or beneficial to relationships that are already in motion, relationships that have already begun, because they are the answer, the next step to the conjunction.

Um, so, yeah, we're very keen to share and to make sure that everybody wins, and that not only our desires are expressed, but we are able to appreciate and respond to the other person's desires in a way that makes sense to them. So, it just takes much of the roughness out of this particular combination. So, we put a lot of our energy into creating things that are beneficial, beautiful, artistic stuff, um, things that have to do with leisure activity. Uh, we have more life force available than usual when it comes to accomplishing things that we want to do. I think that covers that. Any questions about the sextile?

I have a question, Joel. Um, can you hear me?

Yes.

Okay. Um, so for this one, you said that it is more likely that you would start a relationship with some, with, uh, someone that you already kind of have a relationship with, like a physical...

No, no, no, no, no, no. We may start a new relationship, that's possible. But it's favorable to, or more common for us to, I guess it's just, it's more common for it to have an effect on relationships that already are happening. So, a relationship might begin, but it's not a famous, um, transit for that to begin under. You would have to have other, usually have other things going on, especially, uh, Venus to Mars transit at the same time, that would be something that would show it is much more likely to begin something new.

Okay, okay. Thank you. Got it.

All right, so let's look at the square, the stuff, the square on the opposition. Oh, me, oh, my.

So, with the square, we are balancing. With the opposition, we're balancing the give and the take. So, we can identify ourselves or somebody else. And with the square, it could be a mix of both. Usually, it's much more defined with the opposition between you and me. But, uh, it's going to be different for different people how it expresses in different years that you get this. But we're trying to find a proper balance between the give and take. And we might feel that we have been, um, we're out of alignment when it comes to how we're being appreciated and what, uh, we feel is being expected of us, or what we're actually giving.

So, we have the proverbial 'War of the Sexes' within us and without us when we have, uh, hard transits of Mars to Venus. So, our libido is very strong, our life force, our need to win, um, you know, for supremacy with the square. And we need to find a way to direct that, um, in a way that isn't destructive towards us or others. We're figuring out what's what, what do we owe, what does another owe us? Uh, we're figuring out how we can get to a win-win. We don't have to have a winner and a loser in so many situations in functioning relationships, because if we really are attuned to each other, if we're compatible with each other, if we are willing to sacrifice and compromise, and that's really necessary, it's possible to find a win-win.

And the nature of compromise too, is that neither one of us should walk away feeling like we got everything that we want. The nature of a good compromise is not that we feel like, uh, you know, we don't walk out feeling fat. We both walk away feeling a little bit disappointed. So, if we're not willing to have, you know, give, I guess, give up sometimes some amount of, um, ammunition, some amount of, uh, balance or weight, if we can't forgive, then the scales don't balance, and we have resentment that will start to build up. This is one that will help us to bring out whatever conflicts have been brewing or stewing. So, we have a chance to balance the scales. If we don't do that, if we don't share our wine, then it turns very Plutonic. Our wine just ferments and becomes really poisonous, turns into resentment.

So, these are days where conflicts can help us to clear the air, rebalance, and put us back on track in terms of how we can relate to each other in a way that there doesn't have to be winners and losers. We can both get what we need, we can both get to be ourselves. That's a big thing with the square too. We can feel like what you need and your requirements and who you are, that's very much getting in the way of my autonomy, or my right to get to be myself, or my pace of things. And we both probably have some part in what's going on.

Uh, so we look at, are we giving too much? Are we giving too little? And getting back is something that's not, um, not in tune with our energetic output. And it's a time where we confront, and those confrontations with the square of the opposition can be, uh, they could be arguments. We can have standoffs on these days. Um, our creative energy is definitely there with the square. We should probably put whatever is excessive into doing something constructive in terms of leisure activities, um, beautifying our surroundings.

Um, if we are in a relationship, um, or even friendships that are going well, and there isn't a significant amount of balancing that needs to be done, this will not put us in a fighting mood. There has to be something, a growing tension within us, a growing sense of disharmony. If that is not present, we're not going to invent something. We don't become disagreeable if the trigger isn't there with the square. If there's nothing to balance, we're just going to be super horny, super energetic. And we do need to find a way to direct it though, with the square. It, um, is something that if it is unmanaged, we know that Mars can be destructive. So, we need to find some an appropriate outlet for the expression of our libido, our life force. So, any questions about the square?

Hey, Joel. Um, let's say in the natal chart, uh, the Sun and Venus are exactly semisextile. So, the square, uh, of Mars by transit would probably make a, you know, square to Venus and then a trine to the Sun, let's say. So, what are the other elements that we can look at to determine the, like, the end result of that? Several days are...

So, Mars is going to be square to Venus and trine to the Sun. Yep. So, we're going to have the need to balance and the potential for conflict that comes with the square. But the ego overall, because we have the Sun and Mars working together in an aspect of confidence, it's easy to control ourselves. It's easy to have the two parts of ourselves that are really, um, very much about masculine energy. Those are not in an inflamed state. So, Mars, um, is a bit, uh, more agreeable on that day.

Can we, can we say that, um, the good aspect to the Sun probably will make the ego feel better in the end of the day? But if it's a good aspect to the Venus, then probably the end goal, you know, because sometimes, um, you know, even when you're losing the game or whatever, but it still feels good, you know, sometimes?

Yeah, sometimes it's just fun to play. Yeah, actually, that's usually best because then we have to win. We have to win, especially if a hard aspect between Sun and Mars or Mars to Pluto. We have to win, or Sun-Pluto. Yeah, if we don't win, it's going to be a crisis. So, yeah, sometimes, um, it's nice to just play for the sake of playing, and we don't score. Well, you know, it's just the way the cookie crumbled. All right, all right, let's look at the trine between Mars and Venus.

It's easy to get people to like us when we've got the trine going on. We are agreeable, others are agreeable. We want to get along. We're really not a competition here. Um, it's easy to balance us with others. We're really not driven to, 'ow, oh God, sorry, it's pinching my boob, ouch.' Um, we're really not driven to, um, overreact in any way, or, um, underreact either. These are actually, this is when Mars gets into like an inner tube and floats down the river. Mars is a vigorous, vigorous energy within us, but trines are lazy. We know that the sextiles are semi-energetic, right? So, we're doing something with the sextile. With the trine, we're just laid back, and we are not concerned about proving anything. We're not concerned with winning with trines because we already feel like we have the confidence, the mastery that we would be looking to gain through winning. We're already on the back end of that. There's nothing, there's no action to take with trines.

So, um, we're already at the top, I guess, of our game. So, Mars is put to leisurely use when it's trine to Venus. This is a good one to have in your natal chart too. We just kind of, now we're good hunters when it comes to, um, especially if this is in the chart of a female, allowing the prey to come to us. Uh, so when you're going down the river in an inner tube, you're not using a lot of energy, right? When we're going down the river and Mars and Venus are in a sextile, and they're, they're, they're in like a canoe, and they're, we're both in there, or actually it's a sextile, so there's like six of us in there, and we all have a paddle, we're going down the river. We know, going a pretty good pace. Um, the trines, no, we're in an inner tube, and we don't even have a paddle. We just kind of, you know, use our hands if we want to go a little bit faster or avoid a rock or something. But we're not concerned about getting anywhere in any real time.

So, we're easy to get along with. Others are easy to get along, or we're willing to get along with others. Others are willing to get along with us. We just don't have a problem here. If there is something to balance, it's easy to approach it. We don't see it as a conflict, it's more of a conversation. Um, relationships can begin under the trine, and generally though, we will have to have other supportive aspects that are showing that we are in that mood, because again, we're kind of lazy under the trine. We're not, our libido is not so forward that we feel like we have to win. So, that's why you got a good man, he definitely came to you. So, there's a really good cooperation that happens here, and we're just not really concerned with outcomes. So, you know, wanting to secure that goal or get another date or get another trine, it's not really so much on our mind. So much is just enjoying the moment, and whatever comes out of it, comes out of it.

Um, we will put our energy into leisure activities more than usual, making things beautiful, beautifying the home, eating things that, you know, are a little bit more sugary than what we're used to. Um, everybody gets to win with the trine. Everybody gets to experience gratification. The Mars transits to Venus are self-gratifying transits. Um, with the trine, we don't, uh, demand anything. We don't take more than our fair share. We just make sure that everybody gets a piece. Um, anything else? It is a physical transit, even though it's a trine. These are, I mean, this is Mars. Mars is the beast. It is a physical transit, so it does stimulate our life force, our libido, our drive to win, to succeed, to our need to breed. So, it's nice if we do have somebody around that is a successful outlet for that kind of energy. But it's not like, certainly not like the conjunction where we will go into alicap mode and be more indiscriminating. Um, it's easier to direct our energy into what can be a suitable outlet, um, even if it isn't a sexual relationship. All right, um, Joel, can...

Oh, uh, sorry, Katie has just asked a question. Um, hold on, let me see. Oh, that's interesting. I heard another astrologist say these can lend to sewing skills because Mars is piercing and Venus is textiles. I like sewing, but I don't know that other, um, uh, dancing, absolutely dancing, uh, and also activities that require both grace and bravery. Mars is also needles, um, so you would see these, you know, working, uh, yeah, Mars-Venus, a Jupiter aspect, that's a lot of working with horses or livestock. You can even see people that work in the beauty industry or plastic surgeons with Mars being a sasp effects, um, because we are concerned with the aesthetics of things, and Mars is cutting, blood, piercing, uh, brutality. So, yeah, it's a good point, Katie. Um, Joel, can...

Okay, uh, I'm actually wondering, this is a question about aspects that I have always been wondering. I feel like this is a very Mars-Pluto question, but anyway, um, so, you know, if, uh, somebody does have the conjunction with Mars to another planet, um, you know, let's just say it's Pluto, okay? And then you have another person that has the square, and another person that has the opposition. Would you say, because of the nature, um, of the conjunction, where you might, obviously there is a need to win, okay? But it might not be your need to prove yourself or to win might not be as severe as it would be with the square or opposition. So, would you say if you go head-to-head with somebody that has a square or an opposition, that it's likely that they would probably win?

God, that's a really good question. That's a really good visual, and I've always been wondering this. Oh, I need to make an animation for that one, power diagram. So, let me that in terms of expression of force. Okay, okay. So, with the conjunction, we don't always see ourselves as overtly aggressive. With the opposition, we absolutely do see aggression in others, and we generally know and identify having a very aggressive side ourselves. Um, if it's in, uh, water signs, especially in passive houses, then we can feel with Sun-Pluto and Mars-Pluto, especially in Libra, water signs, we can feel that we, um, it's others that are aggressive toward us, right? Um, very much opposition. I see this with men a lot, especially men with, um, Sun in Cancer, Libra, Pisces, and the opposition between Sun and Pluto. They can be extremely, very much, 'wow,' by the women in their lives, very much.

Um, so, yeah, it depends on the expression of Mars or the Sun. If it's a passive Sun or a passive Mars, and it's an opposition, the conjunction is going to be crap out of them. Um, the square, we're very much a kickboxer. There's a more of a constant release of aggression. Yeah, remember, uh, Prince Eric I dated for a while?

Yes, yes, he, yeah, quite the body on that dude. He, he, he lifting weights like a lot. Just that's common. Yes, that particular. And with the inconjunction between Mars and Pluto, then you get like the dude that trains every day, and the, remember the karate chop surgeon, inconjunction between Mars and Pluto, number one in the world, and, you know, the jujitsu. He...

Sorry, did he have the conjunction or the square inconjunction?

Oh, the inconjunction. Work out, um, strenuously, strenuously. So, is this Mars and Pluto aspect than Pluto? Yeah, Mars-Pluto. So, the aggression, the brutality, it's going to be expressed differently a lot of times depending on the sign, the identity that Mars or the Sun comes through. Um, so if it's a passive sign, and say it's an opposition, we're going to get passive aggression. If it's a conjunction instead of an aggressive sign, it's going to be overt aggression. Yes. And the square to aggression, the opposition, if we have Mars or Sun in an aggressive sign or proactive sign, you see them coming and you get ready because you're scared before they get there. But if it's a more of a covert sign or passive sign, they'll come at you more with their head down because they're expecting you to beat them up.

That is so fascinating. So, okay, so it depends on the, um, it, okay, so there's a lot of variables to consider, um, but in particular, okay, yeah, yeah, the signs are going to strongly figure in because you're looking at the mode of Mars. Yes, expression of Mars, then you're looking at the problem when you're looking at the aspect. Yeah, that's really interesting because I always felt, the reason why I just considered that is because I always feel like I, uh, have noticed what you have said about conjunctions, you know, and how there is just a default feeling of, um, empowerment, you know? Um, but then I have noticed, especially, so it's interesting what you were saying about the signs because I've noticed that people that have, for example, um, Mars or Sun in Leo, and it's squaring Pluto, that to me, there is like a, you know, it is a very clear, uh, line of defense, you know? Um, and I, I, it, it just seems like if you go into a battle with somebody like that has that fire sign in hard aspect of Pluto, you know, they would definitely give you a run, you know, for your money, because it just seems like what you were saying with the square, how there's just a constant, it's like a constant defensiveness because constant tension, yeah, a constant anger, because we're constantly pushing against the, we're, we're constantly pushing against external factors. Yes, it, that it's a, it's a constant going uphill, one foot in front of the other one. It, it, it's, we get, it's the goat, right? Yes, the square. Um, but the opposition is very much about seeing things almost exclusively externally, right, right? Um, feeling like I must extinguish that, go up against that, be in direct conflict with that, or that is in direct conflict with me. Um, so it's a very, it can, the, the energy can very much flip with an opposition. We can feel very much empowered until we get dethroned, and then it can go in the other direction, and then we can be very much humiliated or disempowered at the other end until we come to some kind of equilibrium. Uh-huh. Inconjunctions are even worse, and typically we're in a place of disempowerment for a long time with an inconjunction. We don't realize that we're making our own selves sick because how we're sacrificing ourselves in order to get something back. This manipulative behavior where we are robbing ourselves of our own energy and expecting to be paid back, um, but realize that at some point when we're totally depleted, and then we flip to the other end, and we're like, 'You're going to [ __ ] pay me back now. I'm going to get everything, and I'm going to get it all back now.' We actually, we don't, because our overreaction puts us in a position where we screw ourselves even further. Yeah, yeah, yeah, that's really interesting. Yeah, it's very, very interesting. And also, because even with the conjunction, if, if by the nature of the conjunction, you don't really have an awareness of how you're coming across, then, you know, you're, you're not going to have the same, you're not going to be ready like you would be with a square, or have the defense necessarily. You might, there's a chance that for the most part, you, you might...

No, we are already ready. We are already prepared. We're just aware of it. Oh, okay, okay. Yes, okay, yes, that does make sense. Yes, that actually makes a lot of sense. Yes. So, yeah, we might be a bully with the conjunction, we just don't know it. You know, there's a really good example of that is the dude I'm dating, Mark. Yeah, an example of this, Sun-Mars, both in Leo, with the Sun exactly trine to an Aries Moon. He freely admits that when he was growing up, he was a bully, and he says the reason he did, so there's some things, there's some mitigating factors, um, Joel, sorry, you cut out after you, sorry, he, yes, grew, uh, uh, struggling with not feeling completely confident about himself, and so he compensated by that for that by being a bully. Didn't really realize it until he was into his teenage years because these are conjunctions that, but then when he did realize it, he realized that that's not what he wanted to be. He was getting a reaction that he didn't want because what he really wants is to commune with people. Yeah, but how he was coming across and what he was doing was completely out of tune with that. It was disallowing that. So, he realized that he had to, to deal with a lot of the ways that he, or he had to, how, how did he put it, that he had to confront, he exhibited his masculinity. And he could still be very intimidating when he deals with clients. He makes sure to not wear a hat or glasses because that, it's like, it, it adds to what he already has going on. So, he's learned how to present himself in such a way where he gets a different reaction. If he presents himself naturally, he's kind of scary to some people, but he doesn't want that. He, he, so with conjunctions, it is a natural way of being, just like my conjunction, yeah, from Uranus. Yeah, I am naturally very avoidant. Yes, yes, meaning that I want to be. Yes, yes, we constantly have to remind ourselves with conjunctions, we're asleep. It's the unity. Yeah, have to wake ourselves up constantly. Yes, with a conjunction, with an opposition or an inconjunction, we typically come to a point where we are so like, 'Oh my God,' we become so aware that we don't go back to sleep. Yeah, that's the beauty of it. Conjunctions are just so ignorant. Yes, yeah.

Okay, yes, that does, that actually really does, um, uh, yeah, it really does make sense. Yeah, you're just not aware, you're not aware of how you're coming across. Yes, that I can certainly relate to that 100%. Um, yeah, and it's, it's, it's humiliating when you realize how your conjunctions really work because very much on automatic pilot. And with conjunction, our excuse is, 'That's just how I am. It's just how I naturally am.' Well, maybe that, that is the case, but if you're naturally an [ __ ], or if you're naturally avoidant, yeah, what, yeah, so tell you naturally are, change, change. Yeah, yeah, that's, well, at least for him, that's really impressive that he figured that out when he was a teenager because Lord only knows it was only when I started my classes with you that I really thought about my conjunctions. It, well into my 30s. I was in my 30s. I was in my 30s. Absolutely. Yeah, that's, that is impressive. Um, he's not afraid to see himself in humiliating ways. I avoid it more than he does. Yeah, he just, all right.

Oh, Katie, you've got a question. Hold on. H, are you talking about being an angry nice person? [Laughter] Katie, that used to be me. Much more honest now. I don't let it get to that place. Actually, I just, uh, I don't trap myself anymore. I'm pretty good about not putting myself in situations where I have that buildup of resentment. But, um, would you say, Joel, that, um, Mark was, um, you know, he is more willing to go through this experience of humiliation because he's very fiery? I mean, you know, that conjunction is trine his Moon, whereas you have got Virgo, you know?

Yes, yes, he is not afraid. He doesn't have the same fears that I do. He's not afraid of humiliation. He's not afraid of looking like an idiot. Yeah, got other fears. Um, I think he's, he, it's so strange. He has like a, he's, he's become very confident over the course of time. He really likes himself, and it's resulted in him being somebody that I would consider very low ego. Oh, you wouldn't think of it to look at his chart. You would think, 'God, he's an [ __ ].' And yes, he used to be before he learned his. But he's gotten a lot of the best out of his chart. Yeah, I think that's why he's been driven to become a therapist, was a way that he can spend a ton of time in introspection.

Interesting. Yeah, an interesting guy. Well, and it's, you know, that's like the beauty of fire signs, I guess, you know, that they're not, it doesn't keep them stuck, you know, take things personally. Yeah, yeah, and they can move on, you know, they can experience something, and, you know, that is like the real beauty about fire signs, they do move on. I know, I remember my son, because I had a son that was an Aries Moon, a daughter and an Aries Moon square to Mars, and a daughter that is a Scorpio Moon square to Mars. I don't know where they get the Mars squares, right? My son, when I would discipline him, he would react, and then he would just move on. Yeah, my daughter, when I would discipline her, it would take hours for her to recover, and I knew to approach her differently too. Less force, more roundabout, you know, a lot of, you know, repair at the back end. But James, you could just, Aries Moons are so interesting, and that especially as children, it's like water just rolls off the duck's back. Yeah, yeah, yeah.

And the men can be weird too sometimes. I, I find fire Moon men to be insensitive. That's how it can come across to me. It's insensitive when really it's passionate, and they do, they just don't linger. Yeah, it's not a quality of lingering and ruminating. Yeah, I feel like it's so, it's so funny because I feel like when you do have a lot of fire in your chart, there's probably as a parent, you probably have a wide scope of, you know, ways that you can make mistakes and [ __ ] up. But let's say you have a child that has a lot of Pluto or Scorpio, the window is probably, you know, a millimeter wide. They will remember everything. They will remember everything, and they will make you pay. This is very much like my, my God, my brothers. I have one brother that's very simple, very simple chart, mostly Gemini. He really doesn't have any complaints about my parents. But I have another brother who's a Scorpio Moon, conjunct to Uranus, and he, um, he has brought up things that my mom will look at him and she'll be like, 'I can't believe you even remember that much.' Well, that's what put you in therapy. Yes, that's what made you go to therapy. So, it, it is very interesting how we internalize things differently with different Moon aspects and different Moon signs. Yes, yes, internalize things severely with Pluto aspects, and with Moon in water signs, and even Earth signs, we can hang on to things very, very heavily. Yes, time. Yes, yes, absolutely. I can certainly relate.

Like that, you know, the Earth can hold things forever. Water, um, it'll dissipate, but it's in there forever. Something that's in the air just kind of, you know, diffuses. And something that's in the, in the, in the air burns and goes up into the ether. So, look at the action of them. Yeah. Oh, well, when I come back, I'm coming back as all fire. I'm claiming it, all fire, because have fun, and we want to move on. Exactly. I am sick of this crap. There is no more 10-year lingering for me. Everyone else can deal with the mess. Yes, yes, exactly. Other people who come into the next life with our charts, they can do this crap. I'm having fun in the next life. They can cry, and welcome back is all fire. We'll never shed a tear, and we'll think all of this is pathetic astrology. Please get over it. And we'll star in the Hollywood movies instead of working on the special effects. Oh, we won't be the background, that's what you mean. Yeah, the star. Oh, it's so funny, isn't it? The combination. Yes, exactly. Oh, yes, you do have those too. So, we get, we get steam. Yeah, we have water and fire, we get steam. Yes, yeah, I can relate to that Sag stellium, you know, Earth Moon, Plutonic as hell. Yes, yes. I thought of, um, a, uh, archetypal figure for Mars-Pluto aspects. This is just apropos of nothing, but I thought the Headless Horseman would be a good, um, representation of...

I was thinking Mike Tyson.

That is funny. That's a good one. Actually, I knew him a few years ago.

Really? Yeah, he did. So, you know his chart? Does he have that in his chart?

I don't know. I don't know if I've looked at his chart. He's got to have some kind of Mars-Pluto going. Mike, I mean, it's, yeah, that would be archetypal, wouldn't it? He was, he was nice to me, you know. I didn't know him well. He was an acquaintance, but he was nice to me. I, I heard he's a nice guy in, in real life.

In real life? Well, you know what I mean, not a lot of self-control. Um, all right, so I have to look at the opposition. I have to go in 15 minutes because I got to go pick Mark up from the, um, airport.

Okay, okay.

All right, so the opposition. Wow, did I get myself into trouble when I have this one back in February? So, we have the opposition. This pits us up against another or others. Um, if we feel that there is a power imbalance or an imbalance when it comes to the give and take, this is where we balance the scales fiercely. Oh, he has Mars square Pluto. Mike Tyson has Mars square Pluto. Of course, he does. Yeah, I was thinking the inconjunction, but no, the square. Yeah, because that's a constant burning. That does, yeah, that makes more sense.

So, with the opposition between Mars and Venus, we are not approaching things in a harmonious or tender way. We're approaching things in a very straightforward, um, even masculine, aggressive way. If there's something to balance, if there's not, if the give and take is okay, this is just a day of vigorous activity, vigorous sexual expression. We have to find something for that creative force to do, or else we can become irritable, difficult, stupid.

So, we have to really look at who is it that we feel has taken something from us, or that we owe something to. This is a specific transit. We tend to identify one or more people, and it can be more specific to sexual partners, or partners or friends that we are in more of a give and take kind of a relationship with. So, if there has been a building tension, if there's something that's off in terms of values, in terms of allowance of sexual expression, if somebody's blocking that, this can be a very conflict-inspiring week. We go to war if something to fight over.

Um, we have to look at what is going on with your person, what frame of mind are they in. We tend to not consider that before we try to further our own position. We're coming at things more from our own point of view. We're looking to win and to take back what we feel has been taken from us, or to force our position, or to force our sexual expression to be able to have an outlet because we feel like the other person is blocking us, having access to them in a way that can be gratifying.

So, we have to look at what are we taking at the other person's expense, and what do we feel like we need to really go to bat for? We need to go to the mat for because somebody has taken something from us at our expense. It could be one or the other, and it might be more complex, so we could have a little bit of both. So, we have to, um, be careful about the force of our reactions. They absolutely can result in a payback, um, but it may be something that comes at the expense of harmony. It, it can even come at the expense of safety.

Um, so we're looking for the release of our anger, the release of our tension, the release of our libido, the release of our sex drive. And it may be released in an insensitive, selfish way. So, after the opposition goes through, moves through, this is where we start to look at the consequences of it. We start to look at, how do I now need to rebalance again, that Mars makes its way back to Venus in the conjunction? Okay. So, Roberta, would we go to war in a more conflict-resolving way if it was Venus transiting natal Mars, but still looking for a release?

Yes, we are looking for harmony. We're looking to go to war with Mars to Venus to achieve harmony. But with Venus to Mars, we're looking to dance in order to engage in a battle of the sexes that gives us both an equal release. Do you see how one is, um, it's the same aim, but the leading motivation is different? You see? Yeah. Um, all right, any questions about the opposition? You guys are going to be nice to me, let me get out of here on time. I'm afraid of me because I have to, oh, I am not having the Mars-Venus opposition today, so you don't have to be afraid. I have a question, Joel. Only joking. I don't, only [ __ ].

Okay, all right. So, if we do go to war, we will create tension that does need to be resolved. But we have the chance to do that when we get to the next sextile, or actually the inconjunction can come after this one, and that's when we give a lot back, um, because the give and the take is rebalancing in a big way when we have the inconjunction. I didn't have a lot of time to talk about that, but this is something where we can establish relationships that may be massively imbalanced in terms of give and take, or we can address, um, discrepancies in relationships that we either give, give, give, usually it's a lot of give, or a lot, a lot, a lot of take with Mars to Venus in the inconjunction. With Venus to Mars, the inconjunction, it's a lot, a lot, a lot of gift offering. With Mars, it's a lot of selfishness, take, now I receive.

So, um, we'll pick up if you guys do have any more questions about the subject. We'll pick up with this in next lesson or next week, um, whichever one you want to bring it up again. Uh, I know, Katie, I am in the process of creating a YouTube channel that's just for us. It's going to have everything on there, so I don't have to send on any links or anything. You just have to tune in to that particular channel, and you'll have everything there. So, give me another week to work on that, and then we'll have that up for our viewing pleasure. All right, guys, I will check you out tomorrow at 10:00 a.m. We're going to talk about annual portals, annual fixed star portals, uh, 10:00 a.m. Pacific time. I'm not sure if I have that one on the schedule, but I'll get it on the schedule. Uh, all right, so I'll see you guys tomorrow. Thank you, bye.
