Fantasy Football Week 6 Reactions - Shocking Contenders Emerge!

Through six weeks of the NFL season, I feel like we're already in the dog days of the fantasy football calendar, relying on tons, and I mean tons of backups at wide receiver, at running back, and quarterback. But Hayden, that means more now than ever. We are important, impactful to the people's hobby, to their livelihood on a weekly basis in the hopes of finding the right answers and the right players to start on a weekly basis. And hopefully that means you picked up Rico Dattle and you just won your week. It's as simple as that, right?

Well, let's start there. I mean, Carolina Panthers 30, Dallas Cowboys 27. Rico freaking Dattle 239 total yards this week after 234 yards last week. Uh, the Panthers are 3 and three on this season. So, how did it all happen? Rico Dattle had 14 runs of seven plus yards. The Dallas Cowboys, conversely, zero runs of seven plus yards. After an early Toro McMillan drop that led to an interception, he comes up huge with two touchdowns. The first on a sweet dig and go pattern. You'll love this when you go back and watch it. The dig is supposed to be, you know, on the inbreaker versus zone after, you know, the underneath wide receiver and Xavier Legette holds that safety and instead puts his foot in third, gets up the field, puts that safety in the actual mud with his route. And then the second was on a third read. Bryce throws through a blitzing contact defender and connects on that touchdown. Rico Data had his own receiving touchdown in this game. He was the team's leading receiver for God's sakes. A 36-yarder there with four catches, 56 and a Tutty. I mean, just incredible stuff. That one was very reminiscent of the Miles Sanders week 18 touchdown kind of as the wheel route on the third progression, too.

You see that as we're supposed to remember that while Sanders play on the opposite side, George Pickkins was simply fantastic. Nine receptions, 168 yards, one score, 11 targets. He was completely torching Mike Jackson. He was converting plenty of third downs. What the Panthers were doing was they were playing a field corner and a boundary corner and they weren't moving off of that. So, the Cowboys could easily line up George Pickkins versus Mike Jackson. In a way, you thought that he was going to single-handedly win them the game, but in the end, a punt uh allows the Panthers to get the football. And Bryce Young now in his nine career wins, they've come through eight game-winning drives in the fourth quarter. And again, the 500 Panthers here after week six. Really gutsy win for the Panthers who get the Jets this next week. So, there's a chance that they might have a winning record. What could go wrong? You know, what can go wrong here? Obviously the the big standout is Rico Dattle and I think the first question is sounds like Chuba Hubard has a chance to come back this next week. What do you do if you're the Panthers? What do you think will happen between Rico Dattle and Chuba Hubard? Context for everybody. Chuba's a captain, well paid, they absolutely love him. He's been productive. He's put the team on on his own back when the Panthers weren't very good. Now Rico Dattle's even outperforming whatever Chuba Hubard has done the last couple years. So they have it's not a problem on their hands. It's a problem on our hands because we have to actually predict what's going to happen moving forward. Obviously Dave Canales has been asked about this and every time he basically says it's a good problem to have and we are going to figure it out. That's as extensive and as long as he can go. Juba Hubard's a talented running back, but what Rico Dattle is doing right now, look, not the fastest player, not the most explosive player, but his patience and ability to let the blocks unfold in front of him, put his foot foot in the dirt, and then get to the second level, and then he's winning through contact constantly. Now again, first contact frequently might not happen for four or five yards even behind, you know, a threeperson backup offensive line, but he's allowing that to play out, finding those gaps, finding those wedges, and then just not allowing linebackers or safeties to tackle him on a frequent basis. So to me, I don't know how you can put the special sauce back in the bottle despite what Chuba Hubard has done over the past couple years with this team. Uh what it most likely and the only real conclusion we can make is when they do come back and they do split the back field uh Ricoto's calves will not cramp in the fourth quarter like once again they did today. Right. So I'm guessing it's going to be a actual committee where they just let the hot hand right out cuz I I hear you that they can't like go away from Rico Dattle entirely. I also just don't see teams bench their captains very often too. That that's a big point because you know some runners are their most effective after they've got seven, eight, nine carries underneath their belt and you know Rico D's punishing style along with his offensive line. That might be the case. So I think it would be pretty frustrating and it's only natural for a rushing performance to drop down from here over these last two weeks. Again, 234 yards and 239 total yards over the last two weeks. So I think you have to continue to start Rico Data once Cuba Hubard comes back, but it goes from a locked-in running back one to a running back two or if you have an amazing team probably a flex spot, right? And the context obviously they play the Dolphins and the Cowboys who are probably the two worst defenses in the league or they're right up there with it. So not trying to diminish whatever Rico D, but this is the conversations that the Panthers are going to have. I think it's going to be a committee. I think that we're going to have kind of like a Seahawk situation and let the hot hand ride out and I'll probably have to rank Rico D ahead of Chuba Hubard coming off the injury once they're both back. But yeah, in incredible stuff once again again Panthers have like a long history of really good running backs. Obviously Chris McAffrey, you can go back to, you know, the Steven Davis days, the Jonathan Stewart, D'Angelo Williams days. No one in their history has done this in back-to-back weeks, right? So, as much as we think Chuba Hubard is good, to me, it would be just bad coaching to not have Rico Data, if both are on the field, both are healthy, be the starter the next time he is out there, despite one guy, you know, being a leader and one by being a captain because Rico Data has been that good. He's been better in these two games to me than Chuba Hubard has ever looked. Just crazy.

Uh again on George Pickkins, he already has a career-high in touchdown catches for a season with six on the year. Uh just his numbers without CD Lamb this season have been simply magnificent. Uh 19 catches, 359 yards, four scores, a 154.6 quarterback rating when targeted without CD Lamb on the field this year. Uh convert. I mean, we talked about the passing and the running game on one side. Dak Prescott played unbelievable football in this one, was getting to the line multiple times, checking out of plays two or three times once at the line of scrimmage, but he had to shoulder everything because Javvante Williams was stuffed for 13 carries for 29 yards, a long gain of six. And again, we can say that the Panthers have faced the Cowboys and they faced the Miami Dolphins, but this is back-to-back weeks of stuffing running back ones into very little in the rushing department. I believe Devon Aan had 19 rushing yards and here we go for 26 rushing yards for Javon Williams. So, while the Panthers really can't rush the passer, uh, a bunch of big bodies up front are stuffing the run. Yeah, with George Picket looking at it from last year, he had 2.1 yards per route run, this year it's only at 2.3. The big difference is he's running a lot more routes and he's ending up in the end zone a lot more because the offense is just more pass first. So that's just like something to keep in mind. He he's playing better obviously, but not that much better. It's just the entire team around him is feels way better and obviously you can have these huge huge huge games down the field. So I'm guessing CD Lamb's going to be back this next week. Uh, but this is a one-two punch and right now we did see the weak spot where Javvante Williams was stuffed and I think it's just when you have your fourth offensive lineman not playing. I think that's just going to eventually catch up to you and I think that's basically what happened in this one.

Couple final notes. Jake Ferguson's touchdown was on a 19-yard just lobbed over the top of a sitting linebacker in zone coverage. Ryan Florenor did have six targets so the quote-unquote process might have been effective including one in the end zone at the goal line. Just a defensive back went through him to knock that away. So, the touchdown uh did not happen. And on the Panthers end, they should be getting Jaylen Coker back next week. To me, that is going to make Hunter Renfro inactive. Uh even if Hunter Renfro had, you know, a got to have it fourth and four catch on the game-winning drive. Um but yeah, you also had a Xavier Leette. Uh, let's say I can't wait for attempted lateral. Yeah. Yes. Attempted lateral that then has now been blamed on also Rico Dattle who can't go wrong. So maybe he's shouldering this saying, "Hey, lateral it to me." But that was not in the playbook. Let's put it that way. Um, yeah. And then Ted McMillan just he just moves so easy. He goes up and get it. He glides. And they were able to win in a whole bunch of zone matchups uh today when they did need to have an effective passing game. My my final thing for you here is just the loss of Micah Parsons. Like this is just a game where the difference probably makes a difference here. And you can't you can't feel Kenny Clark out there when you know you're rushing for 216 yards. So like what's the point? Yeah, they didn't stop the run and then they didn't get a pass rush. This was one of the only games Bryce Young has been sacked only once of his entire career. It's only happened a couple times. Uh, and this was without the right tackle. So, this was a game where they would have won if they would have had Micah Parsons, most likely. So, I hope it was worth it. Hope it was worth it.

Next, let's talk about the red-hot New England Patriots posting 25 points down in New Orleans, winning by six, bring them to 4-2 on the year as the Saints post 19. I didn't get a single second look on this game, but I can read the box score and my eyes tell me Drake May 18 of 26, 261 yards, three touchdowns, only one sack for one yard. And then also the team's leading rusher with nine carries for 28 yards. Three touchdowns. The box score does not do this justice. Drake May had one of the best quarterback games you will possibly see. 96 percentile EPA in the box score does not actually paint the picture. There were two just ridiculous penalties that cost him a 100-plus yards. There was one offensive pass interference by Steph Diggs 51 yards down the field where Drake May had to step up into the pocket. Put this on an absolute missile to Diggs on the sideline. A little minor push off. Something that you see all the time. They called it here that gets ripped away. There was also a 61-yard touchdown to Pop Douglas way down the field. You never see Pop Douglas way down the field. He catches that and way behind like just like 50 yards behind the play, Steph Diggs had some like illegal contact or something stupid and that gets ripped away. So, two just humongous plays completely wiped away in this one. The entire game Drake May was just great down the field in terms of accuracy. He had an 11.5 average depth of target in this one. Not even including those plays way down the field I was just talking about. But on top of that, he was like stepping up into the pocket. So there's some under center play action. That was a big touchdown to Pop Douglas. Kanan Booty at the catch point had had a nice one. There's also a big corner route to take a big hit to. These were difficult throws down the field. Am I impressed with the Saints secondary? I'm not. But the big part of the Patriots discussion is they average 2 uh 0 yards per carry from their running backs. Negative .4 EPA per carry from their running backs. And still Drake May in a one-dimensional offense at this point, they cannot run the ball. I think it's an offensive line and running back and stakes issue. They're still getting all this production through the air and it's to guys like Kahan Booty, Pop Douglas. We're talking about day three picks, undrafted free agent types, and he's still getting it done. So, I'm as impressed with Drake May as you possibly can be. He is a top 10 quarterback to me. And his arrow is so pointing up so directionally fast. Like, it is he's going to get there very quickly. I would be stunned if Drake May does not end up at some point in his career. I'm not sure if it's this year or in the future, he's going to get MVP votes. That's the trajectory he's on. And this the only thing you can say about this is you come away super impressed despite getting nothing out of his backfield. Like I said, they're four and two and they get the Tennessee Titans on the road next week. So that could easily easily be five and two. You know, in our fantasy bubble, we so focus on snapshare, touch share, committees, all this type of stuff. And I think sometimes we get so focused in and the Patriots backfield is an example of this of oh how are they going to divvy up the work when Antonio Gibson is out who's going to take the load? Uh when in reality we should zoom out and look at the entire forest and say there hasn't been a single effective runner on the Patriots all season. So, while this is going from a threeperson down to a twoerson, they are literally one of the least efficient and success rate running teams in the entire league. And so, you're not getting explosives off that. And in fact, the big explosive that we've gotten is a very Andre Stevenson catch down the field. And then, yes. And so, it's only like short yardage touchdowns. And that we that's what we have to, you know, bank on because Will Campbell is playing great at left tackle. I'm sure as a pass protection unit they are maybe overperforming some expectations for them but as a runb blocking unit they have not jelled and that is just going to lead to basically zero production for anyone even if we like some of them.

Mhm. Yeah, completely agree. And if you are looking for the snap share, it was about a 6633 split early, but in the second half of the game, Mandre played 75% of the snaps. And this was this was a close game. Uh on the same time, he had 18 yards on 13 carries and Trevon had nine carries for 27. Right. But this was just I think to me another kind of setback game where Raandre wasn't doing well and Trayvon was not able to separate. Well, what is Raandre doing? He's not doing well either. Like neither of them are doing well. But yeah, if Hendo was doing something, this would have been the game where they would have handed the keys away. And in the second half of the game, Raandre is still out there for 75% of the snap. So, this is just a pass versus offense and they're pretty damn good at it. They're 3 and 0 on the on the uh on the road, by the way. And like you said, it's an easy matchup this next week. So, we will see better days from Steph Diggs. Steph Diggs was not a full-time player. He ran a route on 74% of a of the drop backs. He obviously had that 51-yard that was called back and that was just complete crap. But yeah, I'm I'm pretty optimistic about just wide receivers popping up for for big plays in this offense. That's how good Drake May is. I think Josh McDonald's calling hell of an offense, too. And we just don't know if we're going to get anything out of the running back position, but a brutal day for for the backfield for sure. While people are getting there in the wide receiver room, have we now gotten back to the point where it's tough to pick out which ones are going to? Like again, Steph digs, we've had two of the last three weeks now have been super. They've been fantastic. Kahan Booty, when you plug in at the end of last season to week one when he had six receptions, 103 yards, and then ever since, you know, he hasn't had more than 43 yards or three catches. And then here, he pops up for 593 and two. So, it kind of just seems a bit unpredictable. I know I'm still going to play Stephs because I I believe in his ability in this offense, but it wasn't his day. Yeah, they got a screen target to him. Uh Pop Douglas got a screen target to him. There's there's not a ton of volume in this one because they had so many chunk plays. So, it's like hard to look at the targets when they had multiple huge plays. The the big one to Pop Douglas under center play action where he's running a big post route which you never see. And that was like pretty much mass protect max protection. There's only two guys out in the route and Pop Douglas was was wide open for that one. So, I yeah, largely unpredictable. Most wide receiver rooms are largely unpredictable. The good news is Drake May is very good and the the sample size is enough through six games. We know that Drake May is a very good quarterback and he will only get better because he he's only like picking his spots as a rusher. He can have big rushing games whenever he wants to turn it on. He just has not needed to do that because the success rate as a drop back passer has been so high. Yeah, look, we're waiting for the four o'clock games to get uploaded here and obviously Sunday and both Monday Night Football games. But if you just take right now, Drake May is the quarterback eight on the season in points per game with 20.8, which is uh simply fantastic. You love to see it.

Uh I need to ask about our frisky and feisty New Orleans Saints. They kept it close, it sound like, albeit maybe some generous help from a couple extra officials. Talk me through it. How did Spencer Rattler look? And obviously, this running back room has been a talking point over the last week. Spencer Rattler was pretty impressive in the first half. His time to throw was under 2.2 seconds, which is faster than what even like the Tua offenses are. Or they were skiing the ball out quick underneath. At one point he had 10 straight completions. So he was in the rhythm of the offense. If you look at his just passer chart, almost everything was underneath. The exception to that was on maybe in the first play of the game. It was that early. They got Chris Olive on a deep ball where they identified the corner blitz. The corner blitz he got there a little bit too early. They saw it pre-snap and they threw it right over the top for a 53-yard. Chris Olive also had nearly had an end zone touchdown where it was just good defense. He probably still should have caught it. He did have another drop, but for the most part, Olave was heavily involved underneath. He had that big 53-yard early on and then the rest of the game was kind of mediocre for the uh Rashid, Jah, Jawan, other kind of guys. Jawan had a big fumble where the ball was kind of punched out right after he caught the ball. But the big thing moving forward for guys like Kendre, guys like Jawan, Alvin Chimera, Taesm Hill does get in there for a goal-line wildcat touchdown. And that just makes it super hard for any of the running backs to get there because Alvin Chimera 31 rushing yards. That's not nothing crazy, but he had five for 45 through the air. But if you're not getting rushing touchdowns because you can't rip off 50-yard touchdowns anymore and now the goal-line stuff's going to go to Taesm Hill to some degree, it just makes it a lot harder. So, I think in general I was pretty impressed with Spencer Rattler. Only took two sacks here. No turnovers from him. Uh had a couple big moments was more than the rhythm PPR scheme of of the offense. And then also Kelvin Banks was playing through a little bit of an injury. So, I would say like more mostly impressed. This is a bad football team, but they seem like they're like well coached and that's better than some teams.

Yeah. Look, I'll talk about the Tennessee Titans a bit later on. Both these teams have one win on the season and I cannot tell you how big of a difference it is between watching the Tennessee Titans play football and the New Orleans Saints play football. Yeah. Which says something about the coaching staff. Definitely. Definitely. Yeah. Uh we've talked about this a lot. We'll put a final maybe nail in the coffin, not to be too morbid here, but Jawan Johnson, the first four weeks were really tremendous for us as a PPR Lord, and now it's just time to watch him go away into the sunset and maybe retirement, right? I also say the same thing with the Kendra Miller upside comps just because Alvin Chimera pregame. There were all the reports were saying that teams have called. Alvin Camra doesn't want to be traded. The Saints want to do right by him. He's not very likely to get traded at this point. So, it's going to be a committee with Ha Hill now in there. Alvin Chimera is the RB28 going into my weekly rankings. Adjust from there and in full PPR maybe you get bailed out, but even that's been more hit and miss this year.

Let's talk about some winning teams. San Francisco 49ers though dropped to 4-2 as the Tampa Buccaneers improve to 5-1 on the season putting a 30 burger on the board through three quarters in this contest. They were 46 points combined, 584 total yards, 10 passing plays of 15-plus yards on the field despite injuries and I mean injuries everywhere. We'll start there first. Okay. Early in this game, Ibuka on two beautiful crossing routes had two passes off his hands, both behind him, both misses from Baker Mayfield that we had not seen through the first five weeks of action. Um, now somehow some time in the third quarter, even the fourth quarter, there was zero mention or like zero focus on the camera of Ibuka, but he is doubtful and then ruled out with a hamstring injury. So that leaves the Tampa Bay Buccaneers with the likes of, you know, Cameron Johnson who scores a 34-yard touchdown off of a sick diagram motion from one side of the field. He destroys the 49ers communications off that motion and is completely left uncovered down the field. That confusion happens because the San Francisco 49ers also lost their best defensive player in Fred Warner. He is now out for the season after, I believe, an ankle fracture. He's about to have surgery on it. But the names don't stop there. Tez Johnson, yes. All 154 pounds of the Oregon what, six-round pick at wide receiver, goes for a 45-yard fingertip grab touchdown. Baker Mayfield holds the safety to one side and then lobs it up over the other. And he's just thrown everyone. I mean, the gold star option, Mr. Reliable. Even Sterling Shepard here has a 36-yarder over the middle. Uh just I mean simply simply incredible stuff. And the piece de resistance was a third and 14 Baker Mayfield crazy scramble for a first down. He's in the grasp. He has one of these every single week. He pulls away. And when I say he is just athletic enough, he is just athletic enough to pull away from 49ers linebackers and safeties and gets the first down. It is crazy stuff. It's one of the and if not the most fun offense to watch. And that's not even mentioning a Shawn Tucker red zone touchdown where he is untouched around the edge because again they have motion fully in one direction then counteraction going in the opposite direction and just allows them to walk into the end zone. They're incredible. They're just so much fun. Their defense has been pretty hit and miss. They're also dealing with injuries on that side of the ball. But the fact that Baker Mayfield is just putting on the cape and just going for MVP, it's crazy. I think through six weeks if he's not first in MVP voting, he's not far off of it. And he might be. So, what what would our MVP votes be right now? Would it be Daniel on Daniel Jones? For real. I put Darnold number one in EPA by a landslide. You got to throw him in there. And then, yeah, maybe Josh Allen. Like someone like that. Yeah. I mean, the boring stuff. It is It's It's really nuts what this Buck team is doing. And I I said that Shawn Tucker got a rushing score. It was still the Rashad White backfield. He goes 17 carries, 65 yards, one score. Uh actually only gets three catches for 21. He had another. It was like a third and one play getting hit in the back field, sidesteps it, then gets vertical and converts. And you don't typically think of, you know, Rashad White in short yard situations, but there he is. Uh, and and converts it. On the 49ers end, they're dealing with a ton of injuries as everyone knows. I I mentioned Fred Warner. Uh, it turns out that Jawan Jennings is dealing with five broken ribs and is trying to play through this. He did not have a catch, I believe, until the fourth quarter on a third and three. He was also seen arguing with his position coach and Kyle Shanahan on the sideline. Uh the broadcast booth noted that he's only gotten two full practices in all season long. And so in his absence, Kendrick Bourne off the damn couch. Nine targets, five receptions, 142 yards. That's back-to-back unreal games from Kendrick Bourne. Jake once again, this was all in the second half down the seams. M. Jones was threw for over 200 yards in the first half. Uh, and he was just destroying them on these seam and vertical routes and slight inb breakers off of those. Demarcus Robinson has a crazy 31-yarder after a drop previously to that. And then again, M. Jones even had some amazing throws that weren't caught. Marquez Vos scan has one go for 19 and then just after that nearly along the sideline as he's getting two toes in, boom, gets knocked off balance and doesn't complete the catch. So, the 49ers did everything that they could. Christian McCaffrey here again, 57 yards receiving, 54 yards rushing, including a short yardage rushing score, but they just don't have enough right now and they continue to lose people instead of getting them back on a weekly basis. I thought another pretty impressive start from M. Jones here where if you look at his last 10 games going back to the Jacksonville days, his wide receiver one would be pretty much like the MVP in fantasy. So, it's at least 76 yards in all 10 of those games. A lot of those are over a hundred yards. He's just been super impressive and that's been Kenry Bourne right now because of the injuries. It sounds like Ricky Pieraw and Brock Perie are both like questionable at best for next week. So it might just be a very similar group of wide receivers as we saw today plus George KD back in the mix. So Kendrick Bourne, he's he's going to be in the mix next next week for me most likely. I don't think that Ricky Puri is going to play in that one. So and if it's M. Jones again, I mean M. Jones is leading the NFL in yards per game and it's not even close. So, I know he took some big hits and uh and he's, you know, still coughing up blood on the sideline and grabbing his knee brace and a couple bad interceptions here and there, but for the most part, that ball is being thrown down the field on time and pretty accurately. So, there's going to be plenty of yards after the catch opportunities in this offense. I did want to bring that up because again, threw zero touchdowns, did have 347 yards, but sacked six times. A lot of that is like Vita against Dominic Puny or you know these other offensive linemen and pass rushers that the Bucks have plus blitzers um like Levante David and Jamal Dean. I think Jamal Dean had both an interception and a sack in this game. The two interceptions were not good. Um the first one uh was I believe like really really early in in the game in his deep half of the field. Uh he either expected Chris McAffrey to sit or Kendrick Bourne to go out and then in, but then he went in and never went out and so he threw it directly to a quarterback. And then the other one, this is kind of when the game totally changed. There was a fourth and one it was very clear that the 49ers were just going to try to push it for a first down. Someone false starts. So that goes to a fourth and six. And so as M. Jones had hit some whole shots earlier on like one two MBS. Uh this time Jabldine plays it perfectly and goes up and elevates for an interception instead of the whole shot being completed. But he he is playing well. I do want to say like there's a lot of backups across the league. Oh yeah. And you can tell that Kyle Shanahan has the entire playbook open now he doesn't have the same scrambling or athleticism that Brock Party has. But again the last time we saw Brock Pury and again Mack has also been injured. Brock was sailing passes. He clearly couldn't plant and push off as much as he wanted to. And so like this version of M. Jones, I think they've what gone three and one with M. Jones at quarterback and that's all you can ask for with a backup quarterback across the league.

Agree. I think he's going to start next week just because he's been playing well and to get Brock Birdie fully right because Brock Birdie has to be fully right for this team to have a chance because their defense is just going to get completely just shredded. No, Nick Bosa and now Fred Warner is going to be out for the year with a dislocated ankle. They just don't have enough star talent on defensive side of the ball. So, Robert Saul is going to get the best out of them. And they got some young defensive linemen that they need to like really step up, but Fred Warner and Nick Bosa, it's hard to find better allpro candidates than those two. So, huge losses rest of the season. So, this team's going to have to put up crazy amounts of points the rest of the season. So, hopefully George KD gets back here ready to go and that can kind of ease the the burden on M. Jones, who once again, 45 dropbacks in this one. Our buddy Davis Maddock posted this that Kendrick Bourne has been in the NFL for eight seasons. He had one 100-yard game before week five of this year and now he's posted back-to-back 142-yard performances. So again, with Jawan Jennings arguing with his coaches and also being incredibly injured, I think moving forward for as long as Ricky Pierce Hall is out, if George KD can come back, who knows? But I think like the wide receiver that we have to prioritize here is Kendrick Bourne of this group until everyone at least shows some level of health.

Agree. Uh question for you just next week. Let's assume all the Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receivers are out. They get the Lions who are also decimated by injury. Baker Mayfield's playing too good. We have to start somebody. I'm ranking somebody in the damn top 36. So, is it undrafted Cameron Johnson out of Barton College in your neck of the woods? Have you ever heard of Barton College? What an organization. They're finding guys out of colleges you've never even heard of before in your own state. in Wilson, New York, North Carolina. Yeah. Um, wow. Okay. 95% acceptance rate over there for You know who might have found him is Josh Grizzard. This is important because Josh Grizzard is from Lizard Lick, North Carolina. Uh, and and maybe maybe those two places are are close by. Let's do a Google Maps of Lizard Lick, North Carolina, and see the distance. Maybe he just like scouted him on on a visit back home. You know, lizard lick. What is going on out there in North Carolina? Oh, Hayden. Hayden. They're a 33-minute They're a 33-minute drive from each other. Like, got it. So, we're starting So, we're starting Cam Johnson moving forward. That's it. Right. Okay. Fair enough. By the way, TZ Johnson came out and said that he's 145 pounds. And boy, does he look like he's 145. I have never seen somebody so tiny on the football field. It's wild. What a catch, though. Oh, what a catch. I mean, the 5-1 Tampa Bay Buccaneers, at any point you think regression is going to hit on any given play, and it doesn't. I mean, this year, they've beaten the Texans. They barely lost to the Eagles. They've beaten the Seahawks and now they've beaten the 49ers. And like you said, it's the Lions up next. That should be very, very fun.

Another team continuing their winning ways, the Los Angeles Chargers go to Miami, become 4-2 on the year as they beat the Dolphins 29-27. Close on the scoreboard. And what instantly pops out to me are two names. Justin Herbert, a casual 264 and two scores. But then what the heck happened to this backfield out of nowhere? Kamani Vid Doll when half of the fantasy football community was never wrong just early. 18 carries, 124 yards to go along with another three catches for 14 and a score. Really wild game here. Just to fast forward to the second half, the Chargers go up 14 to zero in the third quarter. It's a tight ball game. Darren Waller was completely silent for the entire game until the last drive where he was left wide open in the end zone. Miami takes a slight lead 46 or the 27 to 26. They have about 45 seconds left on the other side and Justin Herbert made one of the craziest plays where Jaylen Phillips who's massive in an extreme athlete is draped over Justin Herbert who just shrugs him off finds Lad McConi who has a really nice stop and get up field moment for a huge yard yards after the catch play to set up the game-winning field goal. So it was really nice to see Lad Manki who's his first big yards after the catch play of the season. He finishes with nine nine targets, seven of them for catches, 100 yards and a touchdown. That was great news. Obviously, without Quinton Johnson, the matchup was really good through the air. So somebody even like Aronda Gadson had seven uh catches for 68 yards. So he was another guy coming out of nowhere largely. He even had a fumble, but they stuck with him. And then with Kimani Vidal, just explain this one. In the first 15 plays, Son Haskins, eight snaps, Kamani Vidal, seven snaps. Instantly though, you can tell Kamani Vidal is just a little bit more explosive than Hassan Haskins. Hassan Haskins ends up finishing the game with negative yards before contact. Kamani Vidal kept getting to the perimeter when they got down to the goal line for a play. It was one of those uh play actions kind of just a little like sprint out where Kamani Vidal is the first read gets in there for a touchdown. So in the second half of the game, it was all Kamani Vidal played about uh three quarters of the snaps in the second half after winning the hot hand early. So that's how he got it done. It was still a really pass first uh approach for the the Chargers. 69% neutral pass rate in this one. And Justin Herbert made a couple clutch moments behind a really bad offensive line. So uh clutch win for just the the Chargers going across the country and just picking up a win with a decimated offensive line. And shout out to getting Kamani Vidal going because they were, you know, calling other teams about running backs. And we'll see if they they end up doing that once again. He's still super tiny but he got it done today.

Yeah. Before we talk about the Dolphins and Tua's comments, I did just want to hammer home and finally ask about this backfield. Y obviously everyone's going to have to go through waivers and the big waiver pickup was Assan Haskins over Kamani Bud Doll. I'm sure both get picked up in many leagues. But Hayden, we also we always talk about like when it's a split back few, you never know who like the true backup is and one guy can just totally outperform the other. Like you said, we also sometimes see teams picking up someone as a free agent like they did Na Hines or make a trade which they were potentially doing. Do you think like this Kamani Vidal performance is enough for them for not even just the next three weeks cuz we found out that Amar and Hampton is going to be out for more than the four games that he is going to be placed in injury reserve for that this is Vidall and this is Vid Doll week. Now, I think that they're probably going to stick with Kamani Vidol, but the context being the Dolphins can't stop anybody on defense on the ground, through the air. They just they're just a terrible, terrible, terrible defense and he was left wide open on a couple of these big plays. So, and it was not a runaway because like I said, Hassan Haskins ended up playing more in the first quarter and then just Kamani Vidol won the hot hand. So, I think the hot hand will most likely continue with Kamani Vidol. And I think they're going to have to win out on the perimeter more than running it up the middle in general. And that's how they were able to attack this Dolphins defense who once again just terrible. You got to start up everybody against the Dolphins. That's not going to change. They're dealing with injuries in the secondary, but the front their front seven, which is where most of their resources have been spent, they're just not getting enough out of those guys. Do we think the Ronda Gatston big day was because that Quinton Johnson missed? Yes. Also good matchup. No linebacker for the Dolphins. He fumbled the ball and it was a pretty costly fumble. Like nearly cost them the game and they still went back to him. He moves more like a receiver than a tight end. He's pretty encouraging for for Dynasty. I think that he has a chance to be like Isaiah likely in this offense where he kind of pops in there. Definitely more so when you don't have someone like Quinton Johnson. And we'll see about that hamstring injury. Uh typically there you don't miss only one game from a hamstring but we shall see with that one. But I think just really encouraging. Vlad Mcconi is still very good at football. You know, has a couple bad games here, but once again, reminder still extremely fast and knows what what he's doing out there. So, uh, good to see him for 100 yards in a Tutti.

Okay, let's talk about the Miami Dolphins and our guest will lead with Tua Tongoa's comments. He told reporters in his postgame press conference that quote, "Players have been late and/or skipping players-only meetings in recent weeks." Uh he basically pleaded for direction from coaches to know what their expectations are of players. I've also seen Andrew Witworth and some other players quote tweet this by saying hey Tua that is your job to lead this and get everyone on the right path. Three words it's beyond over. It really is. They are one in five. We'll see what they do about the GM coach and you know the also the quarterback moving forward. I think it looked really bad for Tua because these are player-led meetings and the coaches have nothing to do with that. So if they're not showing up that means they don't really respect you and your time and then also just with the general manager who he's the one picking the players to get in here and if they're not responding to this then that's not a good look for him. So, I know a lot of people think it's like really looks bad on uh McDaniels, but I thought McDaniels called a good game here and they're showing up to all of the regular meetings that he's calling for and he didn't have uh much to say about the players only stuff because that's all extracurricular. But, I think it's a sign that the the GM has not brought in the right type of players and then it's a bad sign that they don't think it's even worth their time to go uh and do all the Tua stuff. So, yeah, obviously it's not his fault that other players aren't, you know, showing up and that looks worse on them. We don't know who those players are, but yeah, I personally wouldn't have said that if I was Tua, but it's all for now. I think they're going to get rid of their their GM. There's no reason for the GM to be part of the organization right now. Like he he's he's missed so many picks. Totally. I would just assume that everyone's gone here. Uh and then Steven Ross has made some crazy decisions in the past. I mean, remember he was what, fined and they had picks taken away because he was trying to flirt with getting both Shawn Payeyton and Tom Brady in one off season. Uh, I've seen some Dolphins fans dreading the day that Bill Bich is let go from the University of North Carolina and thinking that is a peak Steven Ross move. Even that's too much for him. I mean, I don't know, man. No, it is Joe for for Bill. But I mean, Stephen Ross, again, this is why bad teams stay bad is is because of ownership and who they allow to make decisions and when they move on from certain players.

Let's talk about some specifics here. I mean, I'm looking through all this stuff and I didn't see a single, and I mean a single highlight of this guy, but Devon Atrian still gets 16 carries for 128 yards and two scores. What an alpha. He was really, really good getting to the perimeter. And I think it's just a good sign of good coaching with the Dolphins here. The Chargers have a problem right now on outside runs. Remember those touchdowns from was like Rashad White and then uh before that JCM? Yeah. All these guys were getting to the to the outside. That was exactly what happened. He had a 49-yard touchdown off off the edge where he was basically untouched. You finally saw that speed again and obviously catches a bunch of swing passes out there as well. So it was just getting the ball to the perimeter. That was really nice to see from him. Nothing from Aldi Gordon. So this is a full blown Devon Aan for as long as they're going to be out there and actually showing up for games. So which hopefully is for the next couple of months here. And then through the air it was all Jaylen Wadd who had a really crazy like bobble catch where he finally caught the ball right next to the sideline. Finishes with a team high eight targets. That's 95 yards for the kid again. So whenever it's just been Jaylen Wadd, no Tyreek Hill, he's pretty much been a fantasy wide receiver one. So the touchdowns didn't go his way just because we got the Waller in in the end zone. Then Han scored the two of them. But it's a pretty consolidated offense in this one. There wasn't there wasn't as much Darren Waller like he's the guy being motioned and design stuff. It was more to Jaylen Waldo and Devon in this one. And the the Chargers defense is really good. They scored 27 points in this one. So I thought it was like a fine outing for the offense in general. And a couple of those interceptions were not his fault. To a the first one was just a Jaylen Waddle drop where it was a good pass and just right into an interception and then the last one.

was the last play of the game, which they were down a million points and 65 yards away. So, it was really one bad interception for him. So, I know it looks really bad on the box score, but nothing you can do about that.

So, offensive line issues up front, uh, were a little bit hidden in this one. I think it's just a sign that the Chargers are missing Khalil Mack in general. Final thought here. I think on snaps versus film, we'll go through Darren Waller. And if you saw an increase in snaps, I think in dropbacks, he played like 80% of them, which is, it was up more, yeah, accelerated ramp-up, which is great. Then, yeah, Justin Herbert in the second half of this game, according to PFF, 17 to 22, 171, and, uh, two touchdowns. I mean, the Dolphins, you know, my favorite game here. Uh, where does their next win come from? Some team against the Browns has to win next week against the Dolphins. And then after that, it's like the Falcons, the Ravens, the Bills, the Commanders. Uh, so it's in, I mean, some of these one-and-five teams, a few of them are fun to watch, and a few of them are miserable for different reasons. They're still, they're still fun to watch enough. There's enough going on here. I would put them in the fun to watch. You know, it's them and the Saints versus, you know, some of the other teams we're about to talk about here.

Okay, speaking of, let's go on over to Green Bay and Cincinnati. Uh, we know that Green Bay is off a bye, and they improve to three-and-one on the year as they win this one 27-18. Which side of the ball do you want to start on here on the Packers' end, where, you know, Josh Jacobs is just tough to tackle? Uh, but we also did get a massive post-bye rookie bump here. I guess we're counting it. We're certainly counting. Let's, let's go have some fun. Matthew Golden. Okay. Breaks a hundred yards here. 86 through the air, and then also had two carries, which were really designed touches that could have been just labeled as a, a screen or just a swing pass. So, did get the 100 yards. He had a sensational play by the sideline. There were a couple of opportunities where if he was thrown a little bit ahead, he would have had some even bigger plays out there. That said, he was out there for 23 routes. They dropped back 35 times. So, the production matched what he should have been having the previous weeks. Wasn't this like some monster upgrade? It really wasn't. It's Romeo Doubs, and then kind of a rotation where they're getting, like, even Dantavian Wicks left this game, but in comes Malik Heath for some snaps. So, it was not the graduation that we were expecting. And Christian Watson's going to be part of this rotation, I believe, this next week. So, yeah, it was nice to see a big play out of him, but this was not just, oh my gosh, good luck defending Matthew Golden the rest of the season. So, he's going to be more like the Jayden Reed stuff, where he's going to have some big moments. Going to be hard to predict. I do think he had, what, four of his touches in the first quarter, even maybe through the opening two series. So, it did feel like, and I'll go back and watch this game, that they had an emphasis to get him the football, but that doesn't mean he's an every-down wide receiver like Romeo Doubs is on the scene. There's still only one of those. Yeah. Yep. Completely agree. Nine targets, team high for Romeo Doubs. Five for 55. Uh, did not score a touchdown. The touchdowns go to Tucker Kraft, left, uh, in the flats, and then just barrels into a defender for a touchdown. Just total, total stud out there. Only two targets, so that's not like the ideal usage, but when you're projected for the most points going into the week, all you need is a touchdown, and he got one.

The story for the Packers offense, though, was all Josh Jacobs. The Bengals had no interest in trying to tackle Josh Jacobs, nor should they. He, he looks even bigger this year than in previous years, but he had like two actual kind of explosive plays. One on a checkdown where he just sat like right behind the linebacker and was able to, uh, run ahead for a 29-yard pickup, which you don't see too much from Josh Jacobs. And the other one, the second touchdown, just downhill run, riding through the A-gap, just completely bursted all the linebackers and safeties. I mean, you were not stopping that train, so they didn't even try. So, encouraging stuff for Josh Jacobs. He's now at 21, uh, touchdowns in his last 17 games, uh, going back to when Jordan Love was healthy. That's pretty much Derrick Henry numbers from last year. So, we're not going to see as many explosives from Josh Jacobs, like 50-yard carries, but man, this offense is pretty good, and he's in the end zone a lot. I think it was a 16-yard touchdown run where it actually looked like the Bengals were letting him score. Like the tackling was that bad of an effort where the DBs just like half-assed tackled him, and then he just got straight. I mean, what is that DB going to do when Josh Jacobs is at his full speed? You're not really stopping that. I'm sorry. Crazy.

Okay, let's talk about the Bengals here because I know at halftime, I think Joe Flacco had like 40 passing yards, and then he ends with 219 passing yards and two scores. And then you drift down into the receiving box score. 10 catches, 94 yards, one score. Uh, alpha, alpha stuff out there on the field. So, they open the game three-and-out, punt, five-and-out, punt, three-and-out, punt, three-and-out, punt, and then have a field goal. So, it was not looking pretty. Like you said, in garbage time, though, we did get real stuff from Joe Flacco, who, according to the broadcast team, he had to wear the playbooks on his wrist just because he doesn't know the two-minute drill. He doesn't know the late-down plays. So, this was obviously a short week, and under those circumstances, I thought he played pretty well, especially in the second half, where your job's fairly easy. Jamar Chase in one-on-one, which he was left in one-on-one in a lot of situations, was just impossible to guard. So, there were some penalties that he drew. He was a total menace. Fourth-and-five touchdown was just all Jamar Chase at the catch point. So, he, he's, it's him and Jefferson and Puka doing it in different ways, but these guys are so far ahead of the rest of the wide receivers in the NFL. It's just a reminder how talented Jamar Chase was. And then T. Higgins also had a couple jump ball opportunities. He was tackled at the one-yard line, which easily could have been a touchdown if I got another angle. Was that close? Uh, and then eventually, I think it was Tanner Hudson who scores the touchdown there. So, just under the circumstances, Flacco just getting, uh, on a plane, a commercial flight over to Cincinnati and Green Bay. I'm pretty encouraged about what this team's going to look like on offense in terms of fantasy points the next couple of weeks. They get the Steelers, the Jets, and the Bears, and then the Steelers again. The Steelers, they have a good record right now, but they've been allowing a lot of big plays to some pretty bad offenses, uh, this season as well. So, for the next month, I think we're going to get some good numbers from Joe Flacco, who's definitely better at least trying to throw the ball to his top wide receivers. There's too many times where Browning would just turn down those throws. And he just let Jamar Chase and T. Higgins be alphas, and they made the most out of it. And I wouldn't even call it garbage time. Uh, I mean, this was a one-score game for a lot of it. Yeah. And then the Packers kind of took the top off on that final drive and made it a, a two-score contest. We'll go back and talk through it with Stafford home, but what changed from the first half to the second half of Joe Flacco's success, if there's something you can point to other than, oh, it was perfectly covered stuff and Jamar Chase was just catching everything? I don't have a good answer. I just know that in the second half, there was a lot of Cover 1 snaps where Jamar Chase, either on a slant route or on a back-shoulder fade, was just winning his one-on-one opportunities. And I was just kind of wondering, would you want to just run something else? Like, the one-on-one with Jamar Chase is like the only way this offense is actually going to be functional, and they just kept letting him do it. Now, it wasn't anything super down the field. Everything was contained. As long as the catch was only 19 yards, but turning 12 targets into a 109, 4, and 1 is as good as it gets. So, I think rest of the season, Jamar Chase, he's definitely in the top five conversation moving forward for fantasy points. And I think T. Higgins is definitely in the starter category, at least for this next month. And I'm not sure if this is going to save the Bengals' season, but whenever they're on the television, you can actually watch them and not feel disgusting about it.

We've talked about the passing game a lot. And by the way, Flacco only took one sack here. But do we get any boost here to the running backs? Because obviously Chase Brown was a round two or three player in fantasy leagues. He's been an abysmal asset so far here. He does go nine carries for 42, and then in the receiving game, two catches for seven. Snaps are almost even. That's just because Sam plays in comeback mode, um, a lot more than Chase Brown does, and they were in that situation a lot more. There were a couple moments where Chase Brown was getting full head of steam right up the middle, and I thought he was running hard, but only nine carries in this one. This is going to be a really pass-heavy team out of necessity. The Bengals defense is super bad right now. The edge rushers are banged up now, on top of it. So, it's a really bad situation. This team's just going to live. I think we're going to see very similar box scores as the one we just saw today for the rest of the year.

Speaking of super bad, what a transition. Las Vegas Raiders 20, Tennessee Titans 10. Raiders improve to two-and-four on the season. Uh, look, luckily for my own sanity, I have not watched the Tennessee Titans on any Sunday so far live. I've only gone back and watched them on Mondays and Tuesdays. Titans fans, I don't know how you do it. Uh, it's even worse when it's all being interrupted by commercials because it's like a slow death that you are watching. Uh, Cam Newton in his opening 24 dropbacks was sacked four times. Uh, he also had sack fumbles on top of sack fumbles here in the end. He went 26 to 38 for 222, one touchdown, one interception. Six sacks on the day. Uh, I really appreciate what Dan Orlovsky does. I challenge Dan Orlovsky to watch this and say, "Oh, actually, Cam Newton has been awesome." Because Cam Newton was atrocious in this game. Meanwhile, it's not like the Raiders were that much better. You know, Geno Smith once again throws his interception under pressure in this game. They are basically gifted points because of short fields that he throws a third-down touchdown pass to Michael Mayer close to the goal line. Obviously, Ashton Dulin gets in one as well, but still, despite playing the Cincy Titans front, he can only manage 3.3 yards per carry, 23 carries for 75 yards. No one gets anything going anywhere. This was a pitiful performance. Pitiful football. Brian Callahan on the mic afterwards says, "Everyone has to play better, including K. Ward." Hey, buddy, talk to your dad. You know, JC Latham just came back for this game, and yet this offensive line looks like one of the worst units in the league despite having, what, two first-round picks on left guard and right tackle, a massively spent left tackle in Dan Moore. You spent on the center, you spent on the right guard, and it looks dreadful out there. And then on top of it, Calvin Ridley in the first or second quarter goes out with a hamstring injury. So, they have no juice, no speed, no explosiveness, and they also shoot themselves in the foot with penalties and unforced turnovers. An abysmal football team. And the last couple years, I mean, how do you let the roster get in this way where Van Jefferson's your leading target and receiver? I mean, that's just, that's terrible. So, we'll see. They get the, they get the Vipers next week, so, and they're at home. So, I mean, nothing more humiliating than the Vipers come in there and end it for the next coaching staff. We'll see about that one. Yeah, this is, it's easily the worst team in the NFL. I think, like, I would even put the Jets ahead of them. I don't know how percent it is. There is no way the Titans should have won against the Arizona Cardinals. That was a self-implosion. And then I don't know how they win another game moving forward. This, this is one of the worst teams we've covered since year. And look, as someone that has watched a bunch of bad teams and, you know, young quarterbacks on those bad teams, I don't want to say it's all K. Ward's fault because it's definitely not. He has made some throws, but at the end, man, there is no pressure around him, and he's just going back to like, throw a pass, and the ball just falls out of his hands. Like he just got so lackadaisical with it that it's just a fumble, totally untouched, and not even trying to, you know, move off the spot. And it, it's just, it's rough. Like they get into these situations where it's second and five, then he takes a sack, and then there's a delay of game on top of that. So that goes from second and five to third and 18, and then you have no chance. No chance. They're giving themselves zero opportunities, and I just don't see how they improve. Taj Spears had some like cool plays in this game, but tackle-breaking, bouncing off three guys, it doesn't matter in the end. They are so bad. And so they need to trade Jeffrey Simmons if they, like, they're looking towards the future. And I feel like another team would make that move to try to take them over the top because he actually made a lot of things happen too, right? I mean, that's like the Brian Burns thing. You just, like, at some point, you got to just trade away your only assets because you're not, you're not even, you're years away from being years away. So, years, years away. It was even in the first half. I'm looking at it. Taj Spears was out-snapping Tony Pollard. Obviously, the box score Tony Pollard finishes with more carries, but that's at least interesting. This team's so bad that now that we have both of them in there, you're in a really bad spot if you're starting Tony Pollard at this point. It's going to be bad. And even their defense, like, they would keep Geno Smith to a third-and-medium, third-and-long. They would sack him because we know this Raiders offensive line isn't great, but they would sack him by his facemask. So, it gives an automatic first down, and they give up, you know, an Ashton rushing score on the next snap, and that takes it to 17-nothing in this game. I was, I hopefully could come back on to the show and say, "Oh, yeah. This is a great starting point for the Las Vegas Raiders, who haven't had one since week one of being the New England Patriots." I can't tell you that either because they didn't look good. At the same time, and they get the Chiefs next week. So, in Arrowhead. I mean, okay. Uh, real question though. Michael Mayer pops up five for 50 and a touchdown. Brock Bowers is, I think, going to be out for this next game as well because their bye week is follows that Raiders game or that Chiefs game. So, I'm guessing Brock Bowers is not going to be out there for that one. Where is it? Would Michael Mayer being in my top 12 next week? Would that be crazy? That check-release stuff. Geno Smith is holding on to the football for absolute ever and just waiting for someone to pop up. And this team has changed their personnel. Um, they are in 11 personnel today, 75% of snaps. So, they're not trying to force a two-tight end thing out there. They're just rolling with Michael Mayer as an every-down player.

The freaking Seattle Seahawks are 4-2 as they go into Duval, beat Jacksonville 20-2. We bring in our guy, Brentley Weissman here. Brenley, let's talk about it. I mean, we joked about the top, but Sam Darnold should have MVP conversations, some votes at this moment. 16 of 27, but 295 yards, and two scores here to go along with, you know, JSN, a cool 13 targets, eight receptions, 162, and a score. Jacksonville was riding high coming into this one. How did Clint Kubiak and Sam Darnold shoot them down? Yeah, Josh. I mean, Sam Darnold definitely should be in the MVP conversation. I thought last year with Minnesota, I thought there may be some flukiness. I didn't, I thought with, you know, Justin Jefferson, Jordan Addison, that offense, I thought there could be a chance he comes back to earth in Seattle, but he's actually playing better than he did last year. It is remarkable to see his ability to throw with touch, timing over the middle of the field to JSN, his ability to use his legs to extend plays, and then just he might be the best deep ball thrower in the league. I mean, his ball to JSN for that 61-yarder was a thing of beauty. Um, they clearly have chemistry. I mean, I think that duo might be a top three combination in football right now. It's unstoppable. Um, and if those two are going to do this week in and week out, this team is going to be really hard to beat because their defense is good, they're well-coached, and again, that duo is just something special. This is another week. This is every week except week one where his yards per attempt is at over 8.9, which is basically about the threshold of what the MVP does. What JSN's doing too, to call him out, it's just outside wide receiver downfield routes. I mean, coming in as a prospect, he was this slot guy, reliable. He's not fast all of a sudden. It's just how technical he is, and the fact that he can break any which way keeps defenders honest. And then all of a sudden, there he goes once again down the field. So, we're like bordering on a 50% target share in this one. And I agree with you, Brenley, the Sam Darnold stuff, he's making plays a little bit out of structure in moments, and some of those pressures would be fumbles or just throw the ball away in previous years. Now it's like, create eyes downfield, throw the ball. Uh, so I can't wait to go back and watch this one. But like you said, Sam Darnold and JSN for this year only, it's been one of the best duos in the league. I think he averaged 24 yards on his opening five play-action passes in this game. He was, and we know it's coming. Everyone, everyone knows it's coming, and it's right over your head again. To be honest, it isn't too dissimilar to how New Orleans opened last season when they were the best offense in the league in the opening three games with Derek Carr and Chris Olave and Rashid Shaheed, and then it all fell apart because they all got injured, right? But now we're getting it through six weeks, and it's one of the best offenses in the league.

Well, we'll put a pin in the rushing game, but let's first talk about the Jaguars side of this, because I mean, Brenley, I'm looking at just the stats across the board. Okay, they ran 68 total plays. Uh, both teams, both teams had 12 offensive drives in this game. And yet the Jaguars, who again had been doing great despite maybe shooting themselves in the foot a bit too often, scored a touchdown in the first quarter and a touchdown in the fourth quarter. What the hell happened in between there? A lot of sacks. I mean, Trevor Lawrence was sacked seven times today. He had just no time to be, um, you know, kind of calm in the pocket. He was always under duress. Just sim blitzes. Mike McDonald had Trevor Lawrence and this offense in a blender all game. Um, so that really, really hurt them. Uh, I mean, when Trevor Lawrence had time, I thought he played well, actually. Delivered some good passes down the field. Him and Brian Thomas Jr. connected on a touchdown. I think it was more of a coverage bust than anything else. But that was good to see. It was actually Brian Thomas Jr.'s best game, I think, of the season. I think he had, what, 80 yards, a touchdown, uh, eight or so catches. So, he was really impressive besides the one drop. But really, Josh, it was just the pressure. I mean, Seattle's front seven is phenomenal. They're really well-schemed, and they were just all over Trevor Lawrence. They couldn't get anything going on the ground. Um, so, yeah, they just kind of got owned on the line of scrimmage. Hayden, I have the stats here. Seahawks defense, 33 pressures, seven sacks in this game. And we talked about it with an injury heading into this one. You know, Robert Hainsey came over from the Bucks to work with Liam Cohen. He'd have played at a really high level despite being, you know, replaced by Graham Barton on Tim Bay's roster last year. And then if he's missing in this game, and you combine that with Seattle having, you know, Byron Murphy, who they just spent a first-round pick on, on Leonard Williams up front, too, uh, it was a no contest here. And also, he's just knows the offense better than anybody else on this team because he's been in it previously. So, you remove him. This is already the team that was struggling the most on just lineup and snap the football. They could not do that.

And I want to ask Brenley about this one. So, I'm looking at this. Travis Hunter played almost the entire game on offense here. They lived in 11 personnel. He did nothing as a receiver, but he did cost my boy Brian Thomas, uh, another what, 14 fantasy points. What happened on that play, and what did you see from Travis Hunter? Yeah, so I think I, I was reading this was the most snaps he's played on offense, uh, so far this season. So that's good because I do think moving forward, they need to get him the ball and have him really be a part of this offense. So that's encouraging. But yeah, man, it was pretty brutal. So, uh, Trevor Lawrence hit Brian Thomas Jr. deep. It was actually a crazy play. Uh, the defensive, the corner, it's basically intercepted, right? And it went through the corner's hands up into BTJ's hand. Crazy. The corner had it. I was like, "Okay, clearly clear pick." It just bounced up off his chest. BTJ is just right here, catches it. Touchdown. Like, "Oh, let's go." And then Trevor, it's all because Hunter was lined up off, off sides. Like he just was literally just above the line of scrimmage. Like, crazy penalty. And so, but back to Hunter, though, he had one good play. Quick little pass, made a guy miss, and you see the ability with the ball in his hands, like you see that explosiveness. And then just they do nothing with him. Like it's wild, it's mind-boggling. Yeah, he, that was a 14-yard reception, Brenley, and then he had another three catches for one yard besides that. Crazy. So, despite him playing all on offense, which Hayden, we were expecting in this game, it amounted to nothing. And he said postgame that he talked to the referee, and the referee, like, they came to an agreement that he was onside, but then the penalty flag was, he clearly wasn't. I can, he clearly wasn't. His foot was beyond the line of scrimmage. And this has been something every single week. Like, I understand splitting snaps and getting, and he had a PBU on defense too, but, you know, it's very easy to see just from the broadcast copy that he doesn't know how to line up right now. And yet they're still splitting snaps on both sides of the ball, and that indecision has cost them timeouts and delay of games and illegal formations, and here it cost them a touchdown, even if it really was an interception turned touchdown turned penalty that should never have happened. And then I know BTJ had a fantastic game, as you said, with eight for 90 and one, but then later on, like on a pivotal drive as they were maybe getting into scoring position to score, you know, more than 12 points, there was a third down, wide open, just drops a pass that has been brutal all year for him. Yep. Brutal drop. It was literally when they're mounting a comeback late, had a lot of momentum. The defense had a good stop. They're driving in third. I think it was third and like seven or something like that. And BTJ just hits him right in the hands. Just drops it. Inexplicable drop, and those have been causing him issues all season. So, I think it's more mental with him. I don't know what's going on, but yeah, he just looks kind of defeated on the sideline as well today.

Okay, let's talk about this rushing attack on both sides. First, since we're on Jacksonville, we'll go there. So, last week, Travis Etienne in a win over Kansas City goes 12 for 49 on the ground. In this game, 12 for 27. We already talked about, you know, stuffing it between the tackles. He does catch four passes for 28 yards. Uh, and then I just see, you know, Backel Tutu only two carries, but he gets 14. So, this Jaguars team and Liam Cohen have been fantastic running the football for the opening four games, but these last two have been, uh, far, far less successful. Yeah, I mean, they just had nowhere to go today. Seattle was just again living beyond the line of scrimmage. So, that's kudos to them. Um, I will say one positive ETN stat, I believe, is this is the most snaps he's played all season. So, it's definitely becoming more of a, not like more of just a bell-cow operation in Jacksonville. Backel Tutu and Quinn Allen, like they're not really factors right now at all. So, pretty much all of the usage is going through ETN. So, I think there will be better days ahead for him. But today was just, I mean, their offensive line got just destroyed from start to finish today. So, not a lot of room for him to go. Yeah.

And then the final one in the Seahawks here. Uh, Ken Walker, 10 carries, 34. Zach Charbonnet, 12 for 24. They each catch one pass. Uh, there was this, I'm just going to say insulting drive in the red zone to football where they're first and goal from the 10-yard line. Zach Charbonnet gets a six-yard run, then they run again from second-and-goal from the four-yard line, zero-yard run, then third-and-goal from the four-yard line, they run it to Zach Charbonnet again for a negative two-yard run. Uh, I pointed this out on Twitter, people get upset. Well, Ken Walker do even worse. Look, I guess Seattle thinks so because they're putting Ken Walker or they're putting Zach Charbonnet in these positions, but his stuff rate in terms of gaining no or negative yards is higher than Ken Walker so far this year. But it doesn't matter because if this is the case and neither one are scoring and it's not successful overall, then neither one are scoring fantasy points for us. Yeah. Yeah. No, Josh, I tweeted last week or maybe a couple weeks ago, like, I don't understand the just reluctance to let K9 eat. Like, let him be the guy. And I don't know why they're trying to make Zach Char a thing. I personally don't see it. I liked him as a prospect. I think I was wrong. He has no juice. Unless he's breaking tackles, he's not really doing much. And I just feel like Kenneth Walker yesterday wasn't a great game for him. Uh, you know, the Jaguars, I think, were really kind of selling out to stop the run, which opened up the pass for Darnold and JSN. But I just think from a talent perspective, it's not really close. And the fact that Charbonnet out-snapped him, out-touched K9 to me is egregious. And so hopefully moving forward, they will switch that. But again, I see no reason why that that that's going to happen. So, I think if you're managers of K9 or Charbonnet, you're in a tough spot. You're in a tough box. I think it's going to be that time share, and if they're not getting touchdowns, you're not really producing fantasy stats. It's just one of these situations where the offensive line is still hit or miss, and they just wanted to pass the ball down the field. And when you're getting these huge explosive plays, like you have two 61-yarders, like we haven't talked about AJ Barner, but I see that he had a 61-yard play as well. I'm not sure what happened on that one. I would be curious to know what happened with Barner. It was, it was just a massive coverage bust, and he was wide open. Like, I mean, literally just waving his hands, "Hey, I'm open." It was crazy. And then he had some good after-the-catch moves. I mean, he's a good athlete. I didn't realize that. Yeah, he's like making guys miss, like huge stiff arms. So, that was a really good play for him. Good.

Next game, the 5-1 Indianapolis Colts beat the Arizona Cardinals in a really close matchup. I can't wait to hear about this one because we know Jacoby Brissett started in front of the injured Kyler Murray, and that led us to 72 yards and a red zone touchdown for Trey McBride. Uh, and Zay Jones as the leading receiver because I know Marvin Harrison Jr. left in this one. But we have to start with the Colts, arguably the hottest team in the league. Daniel Jones, 212, two passing scores, another rushing score on top of it, and copy and paste JT every week. 21 carries, 123 yards, and a rushing score. Yeah, I mean, we talked about MVP for Darnold. I mean, like, I'm gonna come on this show every Sunday if I watch the Colts and talk about MVP for JT. I mean, he just, the ability to rely on him when the Colts need a drive is phenomenal because, let me tell you, I mean, Daniel Jones did not play well today. The first three quarters was not good football by Daniel Jones. He threw a pick, should have thrown two because Budda Baker dropped one completely. It was like right, right in his hands, and he was just making bad throws, making bad decisions, which kept the Cardinals in this game. But late in the game, when they needed drives, when they needed to score points because they were down for a little bit in this game, what did they do? Gave it to, gave it to Jonathan Taylor, and he just went to work. And, you know, 123 yards, down the end zone. His ability to just get small for a bigger back in these tight spaces and hit the crease is just phenomenal. Um, I don't think there's a better back in the NFL currently as the way he's playing. He's just a remarkable player. Um, and so, really good team win for the Colts, but their ability to ride JT is something special. What about with, uh, Tyler Warren? He scores a touchdown here. Leads the team with nine targets in this one. So, it was a pretty big day for him. All the wide receivers were fairly quiet. Josh Downs had a decent day, but curious about Tyler Warren. Yeah, I mean, they, they featured him like the opening drive, like the first 15 was all Tyler Warren. Like they were, like, definitely wanting to get him the football, essentially kind of flowed through him early in the game. He was a little quiet more in the second and third quarter, but then he had some good receptions in the fourth quarter to move the chains. But again, I mean, his versatility, I mean, they hit him with the shuffle pass for his touchdown, you know, kind of coming around and getting a quick touchdown like that. Just some manufacturing touches, like he can win any sort of way. And his skill set with a play caller like Stiken, just unfair. I mean, truly unfair. And if they're smart, like I would, I would totally flow my passing offense through him. Like he's that good. Um, so, yeah, I mean, just another solid outing by him and JT. I mean, those are their horses for the Colts offense. Final note on JT, I, I believe he's already surpassed, I should have looked this up rather than just guessing. I think he's already surpassed, like, his high season total of receptions in a season so far. And we're only, you know, six games through this one. So, it's not like they've been a negative game script so far this season, but, um, and that's the thing, because before he would come off the field on passing downs. Oh, I'm way off on that. I'm way off. I just mean the last three years he scored 19 and 18, and then this one he already has, I think, 20 on the season. Yeah. I mean, his ability as a receiver now is impressive. I mean, he, he didn't come off the field. He literally stays on the field almost every down. It feels like he's truly just a three-down back.

Okay, we got to talk about the Cardinals. How different was this passing attack with Jacoby Brissett at the helm versus Kyler Murray at the helm? It's tough because I, I'll preface this. We got to for context, the Colts were down almost every starting corner, right? So, Tre'Davious White obviously had the freak concussion pregame, like true chaos before the game. Um, so I want to kind of just give that as a caveat. However, you were very impressed by Jacoby Brissett if you watched today's game. I mean, he has the ability to sit in the pocket, not bail out from clean pockets. That's something Kyler would do always, and just deliver strikes down the field with accuracy and throw on time was really nice to see for this offense. And Trey McBride, eight. Zay Jones, eight. Marvin Harrison was playing well before he got out with a concussion. The offense looked as good as it has all season with Brissett because he's willing to just play in structure, get the ball out quick, and get the ball out on time. And I think that was really nice to see. Um, I thought he played really well. I'm not sure how long Murray is going to be out. I think he almost tried to play today. So, I imagine he'll be back soon, but I mean, he, Brissett really looked good and definitely was a plus for the skill players for the Arizona Cardinals. Yeah, that's not doing with a whole bunch out wide with it's Zay Jones and Michael Wilson. Freaking Elijah Higgins is the new tight end. And also, yeah, they did not have their number two tight end, pretty important player in Tip Reiman, with that ankle injury, too. So, the fact that they only took two sacks, I think, is a quarterback sack because that's not a good offensive line and blocking tight end group right now. So, just pretty impressive performance from him. Yeah, I mean, bringing over 300 yards. I believe his air yards was the sixth longest of week six. He was delivering strikes, man. Like, literally just pulling a, just slinging it down there.

Final part, the running back room has been a conversation now for over a week. And then Adam Schefter early Sunday morning mentioned that B.J. Knight was going to be the starter. He does get the touchdown, the short-yardage touchdown, which makes his day, but other than that, I mean, Brentley, it's B.J. Knight 11 for 34 yards. Michael Carter nine for 34 yards. Michael Carter two catches for 30 yards. B.J. Knight one catch for 20 yards. Is there any difference between these two guys? And I guess the biggest thing is Amari Demarcado barely played, just two opportunities all game. Yeah. So, Demarcado got hurt on the third drive with an ankle. So, he was out there the whole game. So, that's kind of why that happened. Um, but yeah, I mean, honestly, like watching the game, I think it's very evident Michael Carter is the better player. I think Michael Carter is more explosive. He's more efficient of a runner, and I just thought he was just better overall with the ball in his hands than B.J. Knight. They trust B.J. Knight more in the red zone. And so with that, you're going to get touchdown opportunities with B.J. Knight, and Michael Carter's operating more as a third-down back, especially when Dart, Demarcado got injured in the third drive. So, that's kind of why it was like that. But it was pretty much a 50-50 split all game between B.J. Knight and Michael Carter. But again, I do think just using the eye test, watching the game live, Michael Carter is the better of the two players. Now, again, does the coaching staff agree with me? We'll see. Uh, it's probably more likely that will be very similar kind of amount of touches, 50-50 split next season or next game, but I do think Michael Carter is the better of the two players. Um, but the touchdown opportunities for Knight kind of tip the balance, I'd say, a little bit for fantasy purposes. This is a really tough spot because they're going to be like rotating series or whatever the split's going to be. They're, it's just going to be hard to get home next week. You get the Packers. So, it's a committee, and you get Green Bay.

Final, final note, Charvarius Ward was not the only pregame injury. I don't know if you guys saw this. Anthony Richardson with a stretch band in the locker room apparently fractured his orbital bone and just got cleared from the hospital. I mean, this basically every single season of his career has had a significant injury, and now he has one without him even playing. It's just crazy. Insane. Crazy. How do you even do that? Like, you're just stretching your face too hard? Like your bone breaks? Like I don't even. Have you ever seen that watermelon gift from like the Amazing Race and you do this and it comes back and hits you in the face? I mean, I can only imagine he was doing that with like a medicine ball in the locker room. Crazy. Way too big for. Can't make it up. It's wild. This is the most jacked, biggest quarterback, most athletic of all time. And it's just season. I'm not saying it's a season-ending injury, but it potentially, it's a broken orbital bone. Yeah. Wild. Wild. Crazy how how this happened for twice in one 60-minute period. I mean, the coach has got to be losing his mind. Like, it's, it's insane. I, I don't even know what I would do if I was psyching. Like, it's a complete clown show pregame. It's wild. Uh, one, one last note though. 80 Mitchell, uh, healthy scratch today. So, that's not trending well for him.

Okay, let's close things out with you, Brenley, with the Pittsburgh Steelers. Yep. And we just talked about a whole bunch of four-win teams. The Pittsburgh Steelers are a four-win team. They're four-and-one on the year, beating the Cleveland Browns 23-9. I mean, the stat sheet looks good from a passing game department. Yeah. Aaron Rodgers, 21 to 30, 235 yards, two scores, and once again, DK Metcalf just on four catches, 95 yards, and a touchdown. Yeah, the Steelers were just really efficient moving the ball. I mean, you know, the Browns were able to get some pressure, but Rodgers got the ball out fast. He was really just feeding the ball to DK, who was, gosh, Tyson Campbell is going to have nightmares of DK Metcalf tonight. I mean, he was just, he was food out there, and DK was just had him, had him, man. Had him from start to finish. Um, so that connection is really good. Uh, Darnell Washington, he's playing really well. He, he had the most snaps on offense for the tight ends this week. So, that's trending like he's tight end one in Pittsburgh, but they just were able to make plays, get in field goal position, and then Rodgers had a really, really kind of vintage play for the touchdown. He's rolling to his right, directing, uh, Connor Hayward in the back of the end zone to go inside, like pointing, like pointing inside. That was a cross-body with enough velocity to get it in the tight window. Very vintage Aaron Rodgers play, but then two plays before that, he had DK open on a long, like 60-yard, just down the field, and threw it like 10 yards underthrown. So, I think his arm is dying with the deep balls, but there's enough velocity for him to get it done, kind of more in the short and intermediate areas of the field. But a really good team win for the Steelers, who were quietly, you know, again, yeah, you know, they're four-and-one. So, very, very quietly looking good for this season.

Coming out of the bye for them, I was curious if Caleb Johnson was going to have any role. Just looking at the box score, he does get six carries in this one. Now, we're looking at a three-back committee. Jaylen Warren, Kenneth Gainwell, Caleb Johnson, all held out of the end zone, so nobody gets home. What should we expect for these three moving forward? Yeah, I wrote down, I mean, Caleb Johnson had one run. I think it was kind of right at the end of the first quarter, he gained like nine yards for a first down, and you see that explosiveness. You see, you see the talent on that one small sample size, and then like they just don't get him going, you know? And I do think Jaylen Warren had a really good game. The stats may not show it, but he looked really impressive whenever he had the ball. Um, so if I was the Steelers, I would try to get Johnson more involved at the expense of Kenneth Gainwell. Like, I think he's the replaceable skill set of the three. Um, but yeah, but Gainwell is the one that had catches, like, obviously, all the receiving work. So, now, is Gainwell the passing-down player? Yeah. So, that's the wrench. That's the wrench, because Rodgers loves throwing Gainwell the ball. I mean, he's literally on record saying that. Um, so that's the, that's the wrench here. But I mean, I do think they have to figure out a way to get Caleb Johnson more involved. He's a first-round pick. You know, you drafted him early. Um, so you got, you got to figure out a way to get on the field.

Let's talk about the Browns, because in recent weeks, Nick Chubb, even when this team is one-and-five and losing these ball games, is getting 20, 25 touches. In this game, he gets 12 carries, no receptions. And meanwhile, Dorian Thompson-Robinson drops back 58 times. I know you're an Oregon guy, Brenley, but speak to me straight, because when I look at Dorian Thompson-Robinson's passing chart, there's a literal ceiling 15-plus yards down the field. So, I know this offensive line is bad, but when you are working from 15 yards and in, and now Nick Chubb's your best offensive player, and he's not getting the football, bad things are going to happen for the Browns, and that's why they only score six points, nine points in this game. Yeah, I mean, look, like there were times Dorian had good moments, you know, he was let down by his receivers. I think there was like four drops. So, like that wasn't all on him. However, as an Oregon guy, like as P.A. is going to say, he's just not an NFL starter. He's not, he's really not. He doesn't have the arm talent to attack every level of the field. And it's evident, like he, he really feels comfortable checking the ball down and throwing within that 10 to 15-yard window. And even he does throw the ball with good accuracy, it's on time, like, that's there's some good there. But the Steelers just, you know, had everyone kind of loading up the box and dared him to go long, to go vertical, and he couldn't do it, right? And so they were able to just tee off on him. I think he was sacked six times. The Browns' offensive line's terrible. Um, so it was just, it was a.

It was an ugly day for the Browns offense. Hey, do you think this is a one-off for Quinnon or is this kind of the worry now that Dylan Gabriel is the starting quarterback and they might just, you know, pass the ball more in second half versus they were just running the ball still in the second half? He ran around on 26% of dropbacks. So that's that's the frightening conversation when you're talking about it where he kind of looks like the Derrick Henry on the Titans where he's going to have some big moments, but those teams had better offensive lines than what Cleveland's dealing with. So he's going to be super hit and miss and you you pretty much have to play him because he's so good. But uh does not come up with a a catch when the team drop backs basically 60 times in this one. That's never good news.

I I did see a couple injuries. I think what the Browns offensive lineman got rolled up on again and then I think David Andoku was in and out of the lineup. Was there any news there because I see Harold Fannon has seven for 81. Yeah. So Jack Conklin got out with a concussion I think in the third quarter and that obviously didn't help matters for the Browns offensive line and then and joke got hurt like he he tweaked his knee I think early in like in the second quarter and was in and out of the game and then in the fourth quarter I think he reagravated it and then was like gone for the whole fourth quarter. I think there was 35 offensive snaps in the fourth quarter if you can believe that for the Browns. And yeah, Harold Fannon just just dominated. I mean, he was really impressive. If Ninjoken mixes anytime, Fannon is going to be dominating targets cuz Dylan Gabriel felt really comfortable feeding Jerry Judy and Harold Fannon. Like they dominated targets and they both had good days today. It only took until week six, but I'm seeing someone in a box score that I literally think is a fake football player that I have never heard of. Someone named Gage Larvadane had four targets, two catches for 22 yards. Hayden, tell me a single thing about Gage Larvadane. I I know nothing about this man, Brenley. Yeah, I literally never heard of him before until today. I was like, who? I literally was like, who is that? It's like the Kiki Palmer meme. Sorry. Sorry to this man, but I don't know him. Gage Larvane, a wide receiver who went to South Carolina. Oh, she apparently 5'8, 171. Uh, yeah. 22 years of age.

Uh final point here, and we'll talk about sass versus film because I'll go back and rewatch it. Jerry Judy's been non-existent all season long. He does pop up here for 13 targets. I'm assuming at least one of those drops that you were talking about was in his direction. I think he had two drops. Uh, yeah, Jerry Judy, he had two drops. I'll raise you. Yeah, I'll raise you to at least two. Yeah, he had tea dress, but no, Dylan Gabriel was feeding Jerry Judy. Like, it's very evident that that's his number one target. They sat together on the bench after drives like they have some sort of relationship, I feel like. So, that like for PPR purposes, like Jerry Judy is a guy I would consider playing because he's going to be getting a ton of usage with Dylan Gabriel. Josh, I know you love this, but I did refresh the model halfway through the day and Jerry Judy is number one in usage. So, the spreadsheets are loving him. Loving them. I can't do it. Brenley, thanks for your time, man. Appreciate it. Yep. Always good.

Three games to go. Let's go. Los Angeles and Baltimore at one point on the schedule. Hey, now we're to circle this one. Uh not in week six as the Rams win 17-3. That drops the Ravens to 1 and5 heading into their by-week. The Rams are 4-2, but I mean just 17 points on this Ravens defense. I think the number one talking point is also Puka Nakua leaving with an ankle injury. Really big news going just in before halftime. uh just kind of like hits his his ankle and it wasn't like a like normal high ankle sprain it looked like goes into halftime comes out of it and tries to play plays about a half dozen snaps wasn't very involved and then calls it quits the context for that moving forward the Rams are in London next week 9:30 a.m. game again against Jacksonville. Kind of an interesting game for what it's worth. Uh, and then after that, it's their by-week. If I had to guess, just looking at the schedule, I'm going to guess we're not going to have Puka Nakua the following week and then they have the by-week to heal him up. Dvonte Adams was peppered, especially in the red zone. There were multiple incomplete targets to Dvonte Adams in the red area. So, once again, he's going to be destroying in the usage model and all those red zone stats that we tal about. He's just going to be really heavily utilized this next week. And then secondary uh to that was Blake Corm also got rolled up on I believe an ankle injury. He was uh barely played in the second half. It was almost all Kyron Williams who had uh a really nice day again. So dropping by dropping like flies. Also the right tackle was just ruled out before this game. So they've had some interior uh issues as well. So to me this is like a survive and advance game. They were at least healthier than the Ravens who we can look at and talk about their team, but since they're going into a buy and then they get Lamar afterwards, it's this game was basically meaningless.

Well, one difference even when losing by 14 and losing for, you know, the entire second half, Derrick Henry does pop up for 24 carries for 122 yards, which is fantastic. If your league mate is just terrified of Dererick Henry, to me, this is the perfect week to trade for him because at least on the surface, it looks like the Ravens are resetting for the rest of the season and are obviously contending with the Pittsburgh Steelers to win this division. Steelers are obviously 4- one. The Ravens are 5- one or excuse me, one and five. So, uh, we'll see what happens. But to me, it's a it's a good spot for Derrick Henry. I like that. The big talking point though is Cooper Rush being benched halfway through for Tyler Huntley. Well, remember in that Superflex League I mentioned this that I had all three of the Ravens and I had to freaking start Cooper Rush. He finishes with negative. That's just what happens. But after the game, Harbaugh says it was by design. They wanted to split up. So that's what they said. That's what they were going with. Well, guess what? I would have loved to know that as a superflex guy. Um, Snoop Huntley the pro bowler goes in there doesn't really do a whole lot more is able to rush the ball a little bit. So it was really pathetic. Z Flowers, you'll take six for 46 at this point from Z Flowers. So luckily, it sounds like Ronnie Stanley's going to come out of the buy. Okay. Lamar Jackson hopefully is going to come out of the buy. Okay. And then we can actually take this team seriously. Even I think Rocoan Smith is going to be back uh for that one as well. So this team is they're hurting, but I think the second half of the season is just going to look a whole lot different than what we've dealt with. I do think Z had two fumbles on top of it if I'm not mistaken. Okay, they lost one.

Talk about hurting. Let's go to Sunday morning across the pond. Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. Uh close to a soccer score 13- 11. Yeah. Uh Broncos against the Jets. We'll talk about the Broncos in a minute. We have to open with the Jets. They are the only win this team in the NFL now at 0 and6. They don't get a by-week coming back from this game. Okay. They face some might say the red hot Carolina Panthers. Most importantly, Justin Fields has nine completions and takes nine sacks. Most importantly, Justin Fields and the Jets at large have -10 passing yards. I'll repeat that. A team in the NFL in 2025 with a quarterback from the first quarter through 00 in the fourth quarter had -10 passing yards. Where do we go from here? Well, a lot of the subscribers to our channel, we have your data and we can see that a lot of you guys are younger than 30 years old. That means you have never seen a game where they've had negative10 uh net passing yards because the last time this has happened has been 1998. I was barely alive when we've seen a performance like this one. My least favorite part of all this is Aaron Glenn has the audacity to go to the med the media and like be like, "How dare you ask about the the a quarterback change? What is up with this? Can we get I believe it was Rick Samini who asked about it who's been covering this year this team for years and years and it's a totally normal question to ask like Aaron Glenn I think it was his introductory press conference or a second one like gave it back to the media and was like hey you're not going to bully me. Okay that's easier to do then and it hits different now that you're 0 and six and look like a terribly run franchise and a poorly coached operation.

Yeah, it's per it's definitely bad on defense. Obviously, they they held the Broncos here to 13 points, but up until this point, the defense was a as big of an issue as the offense. The Justin Fields thing, when I saw the quote initially on Twitter, just the the without context of it, I mean, you could read that as obviously we're changing the quarterback. How dare you ask this, but apparently they're going to stick with him. All I know is they got guaranteed money next year with this. So, I think this just shows you how inepth the entire franchise is really. And I'm sure Aaron Rogers getting a good laugh at this. Garrett Wilson definitely not laughing at this. Gets uh eight targets but only 13 yards. It's Tyrod Taylor is definitely better for fantasy for Garrett Wilson and he's probably a better gives this team a chance to win football games. But the best interest for this team is to keep running out Justin Fields and keep losing games and get the first overall pick because the luckily the Titans have somehow won a game. But it's going to be a race between these two teams and uh it's pathetic on both sides and I do think that we should be calling out the the the coaches. You can't be an a-hole and suck. You can only be an a-hole if you're really good. Priest Hall gets 22 carries for 59 yards, you know, and then Isaiah Davis pops in there for for two for two. Like it is so one note. It is so funneled that oh, we're just going to try to run the ball and have no like in series passing offense. I believe Justin Fields on his sacks held the ball for over five seconds on them on average. But then his time to throw otherwise, Hayden, was it like 2.49. So it's like first get the ball out or I'm holding this and a negative play is going to happen.

Week one is an eternity ago. Hand up. All right. In week one against the Steelers around mid fourth quarter when it looked like the Jets were going to win, I tweeted out and producer we'll send this to you. I said, "Love this for Jets fans. They deserve it. I ruined your season at the end of the third quarter of week one as a major mush." I also look at the roster, Hayden. You could make a case this team's terrible. The next three games, the Panthers, that is a winnable game for the Jets. The Bengals, that's a winnable game. Then the Browns after that, but also you can easily make the case that they're 0 and nine and played three of the worst, you know, franchises right now. It's it's so bad, you know. It just it's one of these situations where everyone's wrong, you know, like everybody is wrong. The ownership, the the general manager for thinking that Fields is the solution to the head coach who just hate the press conference on top of the the actual performance. Negative 10 yards, Josh. Like we we will we might be retired by the time, you know, we ever see this again. The same number of completions as sacks. And also losing 55 yards on nine sacks is like pretty difficult to do. Those are some deep sacks you're taking. Like we can't even get Mason Taylor off of play action into the flats and getting a catch. He only gets one for two. And like you said, Garrett Wilson with most likely Patrick blanketing him uh three for 13. Okay, but what about this? They almost won. I mean, can we get to the Broncos? What What the hell is going on with them? It felt like to me that the only successful things that were happening were the same diagrammed like shot play things that Shawn Payeyton relied on last year to get the offense jump started and then now he's still relying on them here. Like Nate Atkins obviously had the receiving touchdown. I believe that was off of a fake screen and then he releases. Uh so it it's again a diagram schemed up play. And then the running game goes for absolutely nothing. I mean, 26 carries across the board, including wide receivers, including all the running backs for three yards per carry right now. So, yeah, I mean, this Jets team, as you said, so far through five games, the defense was just as bad as the offense, and only putting up like 240 total yards here is is not good enough. It's not good enough. Looking at it, that's eight ball carriers. Eight different people had had a carry. I mean, that's quarterbacks, tight ends, running backs, fullbacks, receivers. It's It's insane that they did it this way. I mean, Shawn Payeyton is coaching his tail off to get to 13 points. It's uh it's not looking good for Bo Nixon this like big jump, you know, in in the second season. Obviously, it was a huge comeback performance, but that was really Corin Sudden at the catch point this last week if we're going to be honest about this. So, not a not a good performance for the Broncos, but luckily they get out of there and escape with a win, right? And again, it gives them some time to keep winning. Uh they have the Giants and the Cowboys over the next two games. So yeah, we'll see. Uh it's one of those teams that is not as good as their record at this moment and that either catches up to you or you like turn it around and start firing and it helps also when you just have a fantastic defense that keeps you in games even when when one side of the ball is struggling. Well, they have two defensive player of the year candidates. I mean the one that won last year and then Nick Bonito with another sack here who could easily end up winning it this year. So, it it's this offense needs to turn it around. Uh just I mean they're otherwise just wasting another fantastic unit.

Let's rewind it back to Thursday Night Football. A shocker. The New York Giants 34, Philadelphia Eagles 17. I mean, there's a number of layers that we can go through here. Which side you want to start on? The Eagles side or the Giants side? The Giants. Let's have some damn fun. We got a freaking win for Jackson Dart. Okay, take it away because Jackson Dart goes 17 to 25, 195, and then the man, the myth, and already the legend, Cam Scataboo. Uh 15 faces run over on way to 19 carries, 98 yards, and three three touchdowns. Pretty pretty insane stuff from the the headbutters. These two guys are just the the character just I mean just the fact that we got through this injury tent and they both survived this and Brian Dball uh was able to calm down after the fact and the fact that they were booing Russell Wilson within two snaps and then they ended up getting Jackson Dart with Dball was booing. I saw him. Well, he was he wasn't watching the plays. He was still in the injury tent with Jackson Dart. Yeah. Unbelievable performance from from these two. Like obviously uh it was just insane that they did this with their outside wide receivers being Jaylen Hyatt who's really struggled and little Jordan Humphrey was the one that actually made a couple clutch plays throughout this. Like that's the state of this team. So they're the fact that they can go beat the Eagles shows, you know, how feisty they potentially are when a little bit of life with Jackson Dard who had another 13 carries and he's going to probably be a fantasy quarterback one with how much he runs the ball. And then it just shows you about the state of the Eagles vibes and general offensive performance. So yeah, the the the normal drop back game is still super hit and miss, but Jackson Dard has a has a live arm and he's getting it done and just having Andrew Thomas back at left tackle is like a huge huge boost to the entire offense. And we had the test with Tyrone Tracy and Tyron Tracy is not going to matter. It's Cam Scataboo who might be a top 10, 12, 15 uh running back for the rest of the season and then Jackson Dart all vibes.

Let me ask you this question. We have three starts here for Jackson Dart and you can combine it with, you know, his prospect stuff. Okay. What quarterback does he remind you of so far in his play style? Because I think you could look over to the opposite sideline and say that in a perfect world, Jackson Dart will win in similar ways to Jaylen Herz in terms of hey, vertical routes on the outside and then can make things in the scrambling game and at times like drop his eyes and do some crazy things, but it's on like the extreme positive side of the fence now with it being successful in the rushing department. So, in my pre-draft profile where I had Jackson's the sixth ranked uh player overall, uh my comps were Russell Wilson and Sam Darnold, who I think, you know, in their best years have been like downfield guys with enough mobility to get it done. And obviously inside the pocket, he's not there yet, but stylistically those two are similar in in that same bucket. Jayen Herz is obviously in there. So, we agree that this is he has to get there and he's got to play better, you know, in the the normal drop back game. But in the meantime, very watchable because even like right away Russell Wilson was watchable right away. Jaylen Herz was watchable. Sam Darnell not as much on the damn Jets that we talked about. But some of these guys that can use their legs and have uh enough of some buyin and I think that Brian Dable's offense feels a little bit more fun. There's enough wrinkles to it right now um with Jackson Dart that they can kind of do a little bit of a college gimmicky styled offense. I think at worst they're going to be at least kind of fun and entertaining. Yeah. And at the same time, we're without Malik Neighbors. It would be easier if this was happening with Malik Neighbors. But again, Brian Dable's basically coaching in a similar fashion, different plays, but like willing them like he did in that first season with the Jets when when they make the playoffs. I definitely don't think the Giants are making the playoffs here, but at the same time, it is a functional team that they won by 17 points in this game. and even Dart was making some layered throws over top of defensive backs at the same time.

Okay, let's talk about the Eagles. Everyone knows on this very program, on this very show, we've brought up even when this team was 2 and 0, winning four games, all this type of stuff that it was not entertaining, that the offense looked broken. Uh week one, they won by scrambling, Jaylen Herz, it wasn't by throwing. In other games, they've had a terrible first quarter or first half and then a good second half and then vice versa. These last two weeks have just been downright bad. Downright bad. And Jaylen Herz is such, I think, a difficult individual to talk about because for his basically entire career, he's been surrounded by a top five offensive line, Devonte Smith and AJ Brown for the vast majority of time, plus Dallas in there. And now over the last two years, Saquon Barkley. But in this current form, this current iteration without Kell Moore calling plays, he just looks uncomfortable. Totally uncomfortable. And I think defenses are figuring out what Kevin Patula wants to do offensively. And if you're forcing him into these pressure looks, then you saw that this corner just is willing to sit off and then drive on an outside breaking route cuz he they know where Jaylen Herz is trying to go with these footballs. Yeah, he he's not playing nearly as well as he did previously. The entire operation isn't nearly as good. The offensive line, I think, is also struggling mostly more in in just creating rushing lanes for Saquon Barkley. And just wanted to go back this last season, they ran the most plays in NFL history. Uh they had 770 carries also the most in the NFL history and their offensive line on the interior is just not as good. So all the Saquon Barkley rushing stuff it I think it's mostly an offensive line issues and even their their best players Lane Johnson up front they're just also not the same caliber players. So so a lot of like run third and six punt situations uh in this game that that crept up. But I also see the same things that you're seeing with Jaylen Herz turning down some throws that he should uh have. And to me, like the big thing that's that's really been a big miss is Jaylen Hirs used to be money on all these downfield throws. Like if you look at it, like the the numbers on a per drop back basis down the field, he was putting the ball in perfect placements and that's when he was the top 10 quarterback and that's why they won the Super Bowl. This year he is missing guys by a huge huge margin. Like that one to Dvonte Smith, if that would have been a long touchdown, uh we'd be talking about this team a lot different. He completely missed him. So, I I would say everyone deserves a slice of the blame here. Um, quarterback, offensive line, definitely offensive coordinator, and then AJ Brown played better in this one, but before that, AJ Brown was struggling, too. I agree. I think the quarterback deserves a ton of blame here, and I think the play caller deserves a lot of blame here. Yes. Um, those are the top two for me because this is not a bad offensive line. This is a good offensive line when you look across the league. It's not as good as it has been in the past. And then yeah, AJ Brown, we've talked about in stats versus film, isn't looking as sudden. Sudden is the word that comes to to mind uh as he has in previous years, but they should be doing more than they're doing right now. And again, I'm just Yeah, I'm I'm just looking over the the last few games and I mean, you can point to like turning point moments that they could easily be two and four at this moment. You know, like the Rams game, they had to block what, three kicks in order to win that game, right? I mean, it's just a bad organization at this moment that reminds me of the 2023 team and it can change at any point. Uh, it just hasn't. And it's why like after two weeks, I was so frustrated by them and now it's like coming into fruition in terms of the win loss record and onfield display. And the same time on the defense like the defense fell off a cliff when no Jaylen Carter and no Quinnon Mitchell, which makes sense, but it shows how much of a cliff they fell off without those two guys. Yeah, they lost a lot of bodies just starters over the last, you know, last couple months on defense and they've they're paying the consequences for that and Julian Carter just not played enough snaps for different reasons here. But last time on the offense, just they feel very like it's obvious what they're going to do in each situation. They run like the same couple plays, the same out of the same exact formations. And it seems like there just no creativity to the offense at all. And that's okay if you can get run blocking, but they have not run blocked well at all. They're actually below uh uh average now in terms of yards before contact. And like one thing I would like to see them do is or two things with Jaylen Herz. Let's do more quarterback design rushing stuff. Like let's let's use his legs properly. They don't really do that. They do it as a scrambler, but nothing like really designed aside from the tush bushes. And then also in Empty, I feel like Jayen Herd plays and kind of sees the field a little bit. and in empty this season. Uh removing those little shovel passes which Dallas Gard's completely eating at. His time to throw is 2.3 seconds in empty. When he's not in empty, that's at 3.3. When he's actually trying to like read the field, there's not like a quick uh easy button. He's just not seeing things properly right now. So they they need to find a couple of adjustments here. And this was like a mini by week because they played on Thursday. And hopefully they come out of this with some adjustment. But the same just like, you know, 3x one, you know, just inside zone carry and then the same little freaking slant route and sit route and then you get a tush push and a little shovel to Dallas. That's I just described the entire playbook in in 10 seconds. That's not good enough. Yeah. And then whose fault is that? Like I think Kell Moore took that to the next level along with Saquon Barkley having you know these 30 plus yard runs that were going nuclear on. By the way, Saquon, his first two carries of the game went for 31 yards and then his next 10 went for 27 yards. Right. Right. They're not running it. There's the the run blocking on the interior is just not as good. And it is what it is.
