Did Michael Jordan Have MORE HELP Than Lebron?!

I'm MPs, as we all know, the mainstream liberal sports media is infatuated with this Michael Jordan vs. LeBron James debate. And now they've decided to add an additional component to the debate: that being, which one of these two players, Michael Jordan or LeBron James, has had more help over the course of their careers?

So, of course, they're gonna talk about it. And I'm gonna, I tell you what, though. I think that Michael Jordan has helped him more than LeBron James's mirror has, because Michael Jordan's mirror told him to shave his head. Ball. LeBron James's mirrors still has not told him that yet, for whatever reason. I have no idea what the hell the Bronner is doing out there in public with his hair looking like that. Once again, that man looked like somebody laid down some duct tape on the top of his head and just pulled it off real quick. Before Shannon answers, because we already know what Shannon's going to say. LeBron James has had more help over the course of his career. As a matter of fact, the entire arc of his career since 2010 has been predicated on him and going wherever he feels like he's going to get the most help. Michael Jordan's career was spent with one team, on the Chicago Bulls. They made very few big-name free agency acquisitions, other than the great Dennis Rodman, who, though he was a great player and very impactful, he was a defender and a rebounder. He was not someone who could assist Michael and scoring. The biggest trade that the Bulls made while Jordan was there was when they got rid of Charles Oakley and brought in Bill Cartwright, which was a trade that Jordan was against. And Jordan didn't truly understand how relevant Cartwright was going to be until they got to a championship level and he saw that Cartwright could defend the opposing team's best center.

Interests questions about me. George, yeah, Harbaugh. Have been players. Hey, I'm convinced that Shannon Sharpe truly does not believe most of this [ __ ] that he says, but, but he has an image to uphold on TV. Anytime LeBron has had really great teammates, players for short time, well, whose fault is that, Shannon Sharpe? If liberal James has had great teammates and he's only in a location for a short period of time, or they're only with him for a short period of time, what does that mean? You know what LeBron James is? He's one of these great, great superstar actors in Hollyweird that after the filming wraps on a certain movie, all of the co-stars talk about how difficult it was to work with him. He's a great talent, but it's difficult to work with him. That's why they constantly have to refurbish everything around him every three to four years, because people can't deal with him after about three or four years. Other than his bull doing. Wait, no, it's not. But what we have to understand is that when LeBron James went to play with Dwyane Wade, that team was set up to win championships. Everybody knew in 2010 when he went over to Miami that that team was set to win championships. They were stacked. We all know that. And they were both in their primes. And Dwyane Wade had already won a championship without LeBron. Scottie Pippen was a player who, when he was drafted by the Bulls in '87, he had to be incrementally built up into a great all-around player. And a lot of that was done by Michael Jordan in practice. Yeah, no, I'm just checking because me and my man LeBron, we know we talked about it last night. I'm like, maybe I gotta say, I don't worry about it. I know you never had help. I'll get Amina Savannah. I got you. Horace Grant was a very good player. He made one All-Star game in his career, and that was the year that Jordan was on leave, quote-unquote, from basketball and embarking on his so-called baseball career. Horace Grant, for those of you who watched him play, you know he was a very good defender in the low post, especially against other teams' power forwards. Very good shot blocker, very good offensive rebounder, would oftentimes lead the league in offensive rebounds. In regards to his offensive game, he had a nice little spot of a jump shot from out to about 15 feet. When he went to Orlando, he expanded it to out to about 18, maybe even 20 feet. But while he was with Chicago, he was a very good, very important player, but he was not an All-Star level player. And he would, and he was not that until Jordan actually stepped away. And even in '94, he was not that great of a player, but he was very good. He was known, he was an essential part of that first two-peat. But he's not anywhere near on the level of Chris Bosh, who's going to be a first-ballot Hall of Famer, or Kevin Love, who's going to be a first-ballot Hall of Famer. Once again, whose fault is that, Shannon Sharpe? Shannon is acting like that point is something that bolsters his argument. All that does is count against LeBron, because that means that once he goes to a team where he feels like he has help, he starts getting a little tired of that help. He goes somewhere else, but he gives him more help. Seven-time All-NBA, ten times, eight first-team All-Defensive Player. Horace Grant, all-defensive. Did it. Robin, two times before the Player of the Year. Well, that's being disingenuous, Shannon Sharpe, because Dennis Rodman was a two-time Defensive Player of the Year while he's with the Pistons, not with the Bulls. Now, Skip Bayless should have caught him off of that [ __ ]. Dennis Rodman was the Defensive Player of the Year in 1990 and '91 with the Pistons, not with the Bulls. Toni Kukoc, one six-man this year, so hopefully with the defense, two times all the. Oh, well, Charles Oakley was traded away from the Bulls in 1988. He was traded away from the Bulls three years before they won a championship. So once again, Shannon Sharpe is being disingenuous. All-star. We go on and off. Anything is simple. And these guys, petty specific. That's like me talking about LeBron James has so much help and I'm, and I'm going over what Larry Hughes did. LeBron never won anything with Larry Hughes. But I could say, well, LeBron never made the playoffs until like he got there and Larry Hughes was a 16, 17 point per game guy and blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. Oh, look at what Drew Gooden did. Like, come on. Championship seasons. Kiss one. Scottie Pippen. LeBron James has yet to play on a team in which he has not led the team and scored atmospherics. That's exactly my point, Shannon Sharpe, because every team that LeBron James plays on, it has to be the LeBron James system. And the proof of that is that the first year that he was in Miami, when it was not the LeBron James system, he didn't know what to do with himself because he could not handle playing off the ball. And that is the problem right there. Michael Jordan can play with the ball. As we saw in the '88, '89 season, when he averaged eight assists a game, and the reason why his assist average was up that high was because the last month of the season, he played point guard, averaged a triple-double. But when he was told to play off the ball, he could still dominate off the ball. Scottie Pippen was a great player with the basketball. He was a good decision-maker, very good passer, great all-around player. And Jordan's greatness was that he could give Scottie Pippen the basketball and say, "Handle that. I'm gonna do my job, but we're gonna work together. And when the team needs me to, I want to take over down the stretch. And we're both going to be the best two defensive players in the NBA."

Well, I'm glad that you acknowledge that. That's basically your way of saying that we need to stop comparing Michael Jordan stats against LeBron James's stats because it is easier to score in this era. And it's not just because the defense isn't as good, it's because the players today, overall, from top to bottom, these rosters are better. Long-range shooters. But if the defense as good as it was in the '90s? No, of course not. The players were much more physical back then. But now, in the NBA in the 2010s, on your roster, just for you to have a chance to go on the floor, you better be able to make at least an 18-foot jump shot. That was not demanded of big men back in the '90s. And I really believe that [ __ ]. You can tell by the look on his face. It's like, I know that Bron has had help. But every night when I lay down with him, him and Savannah, we talked about it. And we know little Bron needs some psychological pull. So I know I told the band, I said, "When I go on TV today, I'm gonna, I'll get in that little white minivan. I'm gonna make Bron think that up that he's had less help." To Michael. You know, the true. Buy me the hell with it all. Through the years, LeBron and the first thing I find is that in nine out of Michael Jordan's 15 NBA seasons, he was the solo All-Star on his team. Great stats. Get Bayless, only five times in LeBron's 15 seasons was he the solo All-Star on his team. So it's nine solos for Michael, only five for LeBron. Great stat, Skip Bayless. Now, that also includes one of the nine solos was 1998. That was Michael's last championship run in Chicago. Nobody else on that team made the All-Star team. Can you believe that?

Well, let me say this, because now Skip is being a little bit disingenuous, but I understand he's trying to win the debate. The reason why Scottie was not on the All-Star team that year was because he spent most of the year injured. Scottie Pippen, that guy you were writing about, he didn't even make the All-Star team as Michael's teammate that year, 1998, in which they went all the way to Utah, Game 6. And you know what happened? Michael stole the ball from Karl Malone, dribbled up the court, greatest sequence in NBA Finals history. Michael Jordan scores a basketball on the layup. He beats Byron Russell to the basket. And when you watched that initial layup, Brian Russell got his left hand firmly on the basketball. But just to show you how strong Jordan's hands were, he was able to fight through that swipe down and complete the layup. Then comes back down on the other end, steals the ball from Karl Malone, and then brings it back up the floor and hits the game-winning jump shot over Brian Russell. Greatest sequence in NBA Finals history. He didn't try some funky, crazy hook shot off one foot falling out of bounds. He just went straight up, held the pose. So the last two-minute report was safe. Michael Jordan took over the game. That's what it was. Say, Mr. Shannon Sharpe, LeBron, he can't even look at the replay. He hates Michael Jordan so much. Michael, do you must have stole his woman? Nine solo All-Star years, two five for LeBron. So only six times that's the other six years of Michael's career did he have one All-Star? We just had Scottie for six years made the All-Star team. So that's six out of 15. And the others, nice. So he never had a multiple. Please keep in mind that Michael Jordan, 35 years old here, he didn't make excuses. He didn't say, "I'm gonna rest on defense and I'm not gonna be an elite level defender because I have to save my energy throughout the game." He played an elite level defense that season at 35 years old. Michael Jordan got to the league in 1984. So Scotty Pippen wasn't in the league. Michael Jordan also went two years to Washington. So don't do that. So, so Taylor, though, years in which he played with Scottie Pippen got it. He was a seven-time All-Star. But that's none of my being there. Michael went there. He had the two years off. There's only six times was he able to play with one other All-Stars. Good counter, Skip Bayless. In '94, '95, Michael Jordan was not even playing. So no, Scotty was not a seven-time All-Star with Michael Jordan. He was the only one to do our game five times with Michael. He went from '91 to '93 and in '96, '97. And I believe that he was an All-Star in 1990 as well. So I believe six, '92, '93 is four times. And then in '96 and '97, he also went. So it would be six times that he went to the All-Star game with Michael Jordan as his teammate. I only want Michael Jordan got to the league at '84. Yeah, Scottie Pippen, two coming to the league until what, '87, '88? Okay, so three years. So alright. But Shannon Sharpe, once again, and then the proper context of the debate, what's implied is when the question is, who have more help? Is who have more help in winning championships? So in invoke their championship level errors. And LeBron James's championship era from 2010 to 2018. Michael Jordan's championship errors from 1990 to 1998. So that's what, that's what we're comparing right now. Who have more help? You're the one trying to go back to Charles Oakley and all this other silly [ __ ]. Well, I'm just saying, this is all he had. So those years he didn't have any All-Stars. Okay. You know, a bagel or Lego warriors. Yeah, yeah. The big coke head. Yeah, I'm pride. Did not even remember half them games because you're so high on coke. Both y'all start. I'm just, I'm doing All-Stars. That's all I'm doing. I'm looking at. Thank you, Skip Bayless. Let's keep it how it's supposed to be. We're talking about All-Stars. And beyond that, we're gonna start talking about Orlando Woolridge. Don't I guess with LeBron McGrath start bringing up Ilgauskas and Drew Gooden and all the other guys. Boobie Gibson. You realize once in Cleveland and four times in Miami, he had multiple All-Stars with him because last year in Cleveland, obviously, he told Kevin Love and Kyrie. This conversation's really a joke. The entire arc of LeBron James's career since 2010 has been going to the team with the most talent. And I don't begrudge him that. When we started trying to revise history and claim that Michael Jordan had more help, it's a big [ __ ] joke. In four straight years in Miami, he had both Blane and Bosh. So that's multiple All-Stars. So if I add up all the All-Star appearances that you've been able to play with, that's 14 for LeBron and only six for Michael. Well, that would mean I think 14 is much more than six. So I think that means that LeBron's had way more All-Star help than Michael ever thought about having. That's already understood. So let me get this right. Scottie Pippen finished third in the MVP voting the year of Michael Jordan left. He's an All-Star game MVP. He led the league in steals. He's an eight-time first-team All-Defensive Player. So which one of those guys, which one of those guys, okay, of all the guys that LeBron played with, tell me the guy that's better at playing defense than Scottie Pippen did. Is Robert Horace Grant? Well, LeBron James played with a teammate named Dwyane Wade, who's had over a hundred blocks once in the season. LeBron James has never done that. As a matter of fact, the way Wade is on his way, if he comes back next season, to possibly passing Michael Jordan for most blocks, if he hasn't already. One of you brothers can correct me on that. But when we have conversations about who was the greatest shot-blocking shooting guard of all time, there's only two players that get mentioned, and that's Michael Jordan and Dwyane Wade. Dwyane Wade was a high-caliber defender, a very high-caliber defender. Beyond that, then Wade, Wade, I believe, in his second in MVP voting in 2009, which was a couple years before LeBron James got there. And as we already know, Dwyane Wade led his team to a championship before, or before LeBron James got there. Mr. Shannon Sharpe, okay, top 50 player. Scottie Pippen, after he left Michael Jordan, what happened? Did he ever make it? Yes, with a refurbished team. They brought in Cool Coach, they brought in many of the more prominent players from this that would rise on the second three-peat team were brought in for that '93-'94 season. And all those players felt like they had something to prove because they had been known as the Jordanaires before Jordan left. And they finally wanted to prove how great they were. And they went out in the second round of the playoffs and they maxed out that regular season. They played that regular season like every game was a playoff game. That's why they weren't 55 games. The season before that, they won 57 games with Jordan and they coasted through the regular season. What people don't mention, what people also don't mention is that in the '94-'95 season, the Bulls were a .500 team before Michael Jordan came back and led them to 13 and 4 down the stretch. And of course, the next season, in 172 games. But that's not going to fit into the anti-Jordan narrative. This is your right, like a Shannon face. Skip, I hate you when you have me any type of questions. You didn't tell me. Did you point at me? This question is moaning. Well, you got me looking. LeBron leaves Cleveland, they're in the lottery. They get the number one overall pick three times. Well, that's always going to happen whenever LeBron James leaves a team. They're always going to sink down to the to the lowest depths because they're running the LeBron James system. Everything is predicated around him. When you're running a real offensive system, your best player can leave, and as long as you have other talent on the team, the team is going to stay above water. Because when you have a great coach and a great system, great systems are designed to replace players, no matter how great they are. If you can replace even the greatest player with someone who has a certain level of NBA talent, your team should still not lose more than 12 to 15 more games than they had lost the previous season. And when you're a Chicago Bulls franchise, and you have a Scottie Pippen or Horace Grant, you bring in Ron Harper, you bring in Toni Kukoc, you bring in Steve Kerr, Luc Longley, etc., and you already have the talent from the previous season, John Paxson, Bill Cartwright, and everybody feels like they have something to prove, and you're going to play every regular-season game like there's a playoff game, yes, you should come close to doing what you did the previous season if in the previous season you were coasting throughout the regular season.

Well, yeah, you're missing understanding. That's why I'm doing this narration rather to help you get to a certain level where you can stop making a jackass of yourself. Because the Miami Heat had to run. They had to implement the LeBron James system. There's even testimony of that where LeBron and D Wade met up on vacation and D Wade divested control of the team over to LeBron because he understood psychologically that's the only way that LeBron could win. The only way he could win was if D Wade acted as a support for LeBron. This is a top 50 player. Well, Scotty was older by then, Skip Bayless. A lot of time he went to Houston and Portland. He was in his mid-30s. I mean, that's really a little bit of a low blow on Scotty. Scottie was a great player and he was a great help for Michael. But did Michael have as much help as LeBron? No, he didn't. That's just silly. I wrote in the Chicago Tribune, you can look it up. Michael Jordan made Scottie Pippen. He certainly made him a top 50 player. And Scottie knows I feel that way. He does not like it. He's had big issues with me going. I'm gonna say it again. Michael made Scottie. Well, that's the fact. That Michael makes Scottie. Michael used to go so hard at Scottie in practice back in '88, '89, '90, that Phil Jackson and some of the supporting staff on the on the coaching staff of Chicago, you should tell Michael, "You gotta stop going so hard." I had him in practice because you're gonna break him down. You're gonna break him down mentally. But all that being, all that being said, Skip, tell the people at home how many times Michael got out of the first round before Scottie Pippen joined his team. This is another silly argument that the LeBron James superfans love to resort to whenever they, whenever they see that their gun is out of bullets. Well, Jordan never got out of the first round until Scottie Pippen got there in the 1988 playoffs. Look up the comparative stats between Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen and you tell me why the Bulls got out of the first round in 1988. The reason why they finally were able to get out of the first round in '88 was because the team had improved so much from the previous season that they were able to avoid the Boston Celtics or the Detroit Pistons in the first round. They played the Cleveland Cavaliers in the first round. The Bulls actually had home court in the 1988 playoffs. In 1987, just to provide some context, in the 1987 season, Michael Jordan averaged 37 points a game. He had over 200 steals, over 100 blocks. The team finished something like 40 and 42. They played the Celtics in the first round. The Celtics were going to go on to the NBA Finals. They got swept. In 1988, yes, they drafted Scottie Pippen and Horace Grant. Scottie Pippen was a bench player. He averaged about seven points a game that season. He was not the reason why they got out of the first round. The first round of the playoffs in 1988 against the Cleveland Cavaliers, Michael Jordan averaged over 40 points a game. He shot over 50%. Scottie Pippen in the playoffs averaged about seven points a game. He was not the reason why they got out of the first round. Michael Jordan became better as a player in 1988. Jordan averaged about 35 a game. He was MVP of the NBA and Defensive Player of the Year in the same season. And he shot 53% from the from the floor at shooting guard. At shooting guard, when you look at the history of the NBA and you were to query what shooting guard in NBA history has averaged over 30 a game on 53% shooting, there's only one name that's going to come up. That's Michael Jordan. There's only one name that's going to come up, and that is Michael Jordan. He's the only shooting guard to average 35 a game and shoot over 50%. No one else has ever done that. And that was in a slightly more defensive era than what you have. When what you have today, even though the '80s, that defense was a little overrated. But in '88, what Michael Jordan did was the reason why they were able to finally get past the first round. Scottie incrementally became a better player. By 1990, he was an All-Star level player. By '91, he was one of the top players in the NBA.

Okay, if you'll tell the people that it took LeBron nine years to break through and win his first championship, if you'll do that, I'm good. It took LeBron, '99. Yeah, that's a long time. But, and what did he say? "It's about damn time." But if Michael's gonna make the playoffs in 30 and 52, at 44 and 38, I mean, at 30, 18, 44, I mean, really, is that what we're talking about? What happened earlier? 50, homo. How you going to the playoffs at 30, at 52? Wait a second. Well, during that season, Jordan was hurt. That was the season that he broke his foot. So it's a miracle that the Bulls even made the playoffs that season at 30 and 52. And they made the playoffs because Jordan came back with about, I believe, like maybe 15 or 20 games left, for maybe, maybe even a little less than that, and was able to lead them to victories to get to the playoff that year. But the NBA was very top-heavy in that era. Took his talents to South Beach, yeah, to join forces with the great Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh, who was an All-Star before he got to Miami in Toronto. And then what happened in 2011? That first go-around, ah, I don't know what looked like the chosen one became the froze with finals. But let's try, let's use context. Huh, this Fame beverage team that beat the Miami Heat for two in the NBA Finals, swept the two-time defending champ Lakers. Yes, but that's not the argument. The argument is not whether or not the Mavericks were the better team, Shannon Sharpe. The argument is what happened to LeBron James. LeBron James froze up. It wasn't even like he shot that poorly. He was terrible. He was indecisive. And he refused to shoot. That's the topic at hand. And I don't know why Skip Bayless allows him to make these silly counter arguments. James Russell Westbrook in fire game. But see, we got to give some context now. So you're telling me, yeah, let's provide some context. What did Kevin Durant do in that series against the Mavericks in 2011? What did Kobe Bryant do? Did they go down? What bullets left in their chamber like LeBron James did? Kobe Bryant gets well, who was favored going into that series? LeBron, Miami, Dallas. After him, he was favored. Yeah, thank you, sir. So they swept the two-time defending champ. Shannon said that's the only season that LeBron has ever been favored in. So LeBron was not favored to win a championship in '23 against the San Antonio Spurs when the Miami Heat had won 66 games. I have a hard time believing that. But one of you brothers can correct me on that. But I know for a fact that the Miami Heat had home court in that series. They won 66 games that regular season. Shannon Sharpe just stated that that the Miami Heat were only favored to win an NBA Finals in 2011 against the Mavericks. So once again, he's most likely being disingenuous. But when he, brothers can correct me if I'm wrong. With 14 total All-Stars to only six for Michael, yes. I think so. You believe, do you believe the way that we have played misguided bit on the official rankings of greatest players of all time, D Wade is going to be ranked ahead of Scottie Pippen? Most likely. I'm not sure if I agree with him being overall better player than Scottie, but on the official rankings, he's going to be above Scottie. You know, I made a video a while ago stating that on my list, I would, I would have a hard time putting D Wade above Clyde Drexler. And many of the basketball fans got upset. So, D Wade, because he's playing so recently, sometimes it's hard to understand that certain players in history may have been, if not on his level, maybe even a little bit better than him after he's retired for a while, then we'll be able to judge him with a proper level of context. Definitely. Okay, Robin, LeBron played with Kevin Love. When you use him, can he be as effective as Dennis Rodman? Because he's gonna bring more offense. The rebound is gonna be about the same. Of course, Dennis Rodman is going to be a better defender. Yes, with the Pistons. Now, with the Bulls, lately, your rebounder, all-time. Two. And guess what? Then it's never made one with Michael. Whoa. Shifting. But because of steered the bank, now you know why? Because he joined in, he's 33 years old. Good. Thank you, Skip. This be fair now. We know the All-Star to All-Star, the Pro Bowl, All-Star game in baseball or basketball. It was a popularity contest. We've seen Magic Johnson's not playing the NBA and be voted to the All-Star game in '92. What he played is no less. I know, whoa. Make the All-Star team. Can you let me talk? Whoa. All these All-NBA team. Perfect. Now, why was Shannon Sharpe used Magic Johnson going to the All-Star game in 19, 1992, as an example of a popularity contest? Magic Johnson was allowed into the All-Star game in 1992 because he had HIV. That was also to prep the NBA viewing audience for what he was going to do, how he was going to be participating in the Olympics. So that's just silly. Right, guys like Skip Bayless and your former partner, Stephen A. Then you follow these games. Yeah. So they voted in is Robert All-Defensive eight times. They voted Scottie Pippen ten times. Woody Horace Grant All-Defensive team. John Oakley All-Defensive. But Skip, I mean, come on now. How about Michael Jordan? How many times? How many times does Charles Oakley make the All-Defensive team with the Bulls? Charles Oakley was known as as a defender with the New York Knicks. Shannon Sharpe is trying to muddy up the waters here, and Skip is not catching his silly ass. Anybody first team All-Defense. You should be good. Yeah, like defense anymore. All I know is that this past series when they tried to shout against LeBron James, they were shooting work. Then they shot against any other Cleveland Cavalier defense. Yeah, now you love stick. Well, look, I don't judge what the Toronto Raptors do. The Raptors, they whack Jews upstairs. I just gave you one right there. Yeah, I love stands. Yeah, I love the fact that four players LeBron has played with made All-Star teams without LeBron either before or after LeBron. Nobody Michael ever played the All-Star team before or after him. Well, that's not true. Dennis Rodman made the All-Star team and, uh, I believe '91 with the Pistons. And he was at his greatest with the Pistons in 1991. Dennis Rodman, by the time he became, by the time he came to the Bulls, was primarily a great rebounder. And he was someone who could assault the opposing team's power forward and center psychologically. He was still a good defender, but he was mostly a rebounder. And he was not a defensive player on the level that he was with the Pistons. It's like Tonko to the Lone Ranger. Yes. What was the here's the thing. What also made this team so successful is that you can say, you know what, Horace Grant, go lock somebody down. Did the problem is, lock the bat down. Field love somebody that I didn't mention. How Ron Harper, he thought he'd never made all the difference. Deep was good. You know, he could play before he blew that Louise Nia get really, really play well. Ron Harper actually blew his knee out before he got to the Bulls. And he was a very good defender, but their scheme made him a great defender because he wasn't asked to score. Who set the tone for that front line? Or actually, the back line as it was? Couldn't get the ball across half court against them because Michael was in the middle. All of Scotty, you saw what he did. I know what final. Can you tell the people that hold what Magic Johnson theater Michael Jordan in the game will final? What he pulls doughnuts guilt? Yeah, you tell. I don't know. No, Scottie and Michael shared the defensive duties on Magic because more was asked of Michael in a half-court set offensively. When is a ball play with a two-time Defensive Player of the Year, two-time people live rebound the champ, steals leader? I went on the bride to play one of them late.
