Say it out loud with me. I am in Christ. Christ is in me. His victory is my victory.
Now the word says in 2 Corinthians 5:17, "Therefore, if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature. Old things are passed away. Behold, all things are become new." Did you hear that? Not will become, not someday will be, but are become new. You are not who you were. You are a brand new man in Christ Jesus.
Somebody says, "Brother Hagen, you don't know the life I lived before." I don't have to know it. God said, "I, even I, am he that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins." 43-2. Glory to God. If he doesn't remember them, why should you? Why should you let the devil drag them up? You are not that old creature anymore. You are a new creation, washed in the blood, standing before God as if sin never existed.
Romans 8:1 says, "There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus." Not tomorrow, not next year, now. Right now you can lift your head high. Right now you can take your place. Right now you can say, "I am the righteousness of God in Christ." Two 5:21.
When you were born again, you changed families. Colossians 1:13 says, "Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear son." You're not under Satan's dominion anymore. You're not a beggar. You're not a slave to fear. You are a son, a daughter of the Almighty God. Say it again. I am delivered. I am translated. I am seated with Christ.
Ephesians 2:6 declares, "And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus." That's your seat. That's your position. That's your authority. You are not fighting to get there. You're already there.
And hear me, faith begins where the will of God is known. God's word is his will. He says you are a new creature. He says you are righteous. He says you are seated with Christ. So don't call yourself defeated when he calls you victorious. Don't call yourself sick when he says by his stripes you were healed. One pet 2:24. Don't call yourself bound. When Jesus said, "Whom the Son sets free is free indeed." John 8:36.
Lift your hand and declare, "I am in Christ. I am a new creature. Old things are passed away. All things are become new. I take my place in Christ now." Glory to God. That's the starting point. That's the opening charge. You're not going to cleanse your house with fear. You're going to cleanse your house with faith. And faith rests upon who you are in him.
Now that you've taken your place in Christ, let's look at what keeps that place strong in your life and in your home. God said in Proverbs 4:20-22, "My son, attend to my words; and incline thine ear unto my sayings. Let them not depart from thine eyes. Keep them in the midst of thine heart, for they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh." The margin of the King James Bible says it this way: My words are medicine to all their flesh.
Did you hear that? God's word is medicine. You don't need a new prescription. God already wrote the prescription. His word is the medicine. His word is the cure. His word is the strengthener. His word is the peacegiver. But listen, medicine only works if you take it. You can set a bottle of medicine on the shelf and say, "Yes, I believe in that medicine." But if you never take it, you will never be helped. Too many believers treat the word of God like that. They honor it on the shelf. They quote it on Sunday, but they don't take it daily.
Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God. Rom 10:17. You got to take your daily dose. Say it with me. God's word is medicine. God's word is health. God's word is life.
Now notice how he said to take it. "Attend to my words." That means give it first place. When sickness tries to knock at your door, don't attend to fear, attend to the word. When strife tries to break in, don't attend to anger, attend to the word. When fear of lack whispers, don't attend to worry. Attend to the word.
Then he said, "Incline thine ear unto my sayings." That means bend your ear, lean in, give it full attention. You can't feed on the news more than the word and expect peace in your home. You can't incline your ear to strife and gossip and then wonder why your house feels heavy. Close your ear to fear and open your ear to faith.
Then he said, "Let them not depart from thine eyes." Keep looking at it. Put scripture on your walls. Write verses on your mirror. Put the word where your eyes can see it every day. When the devil tries to paint pictures of defeat, you hold the picture of God's promises in front of your eyes.
And then he said, "Keep them in the midst of thine heart." Oh friend, it's not enough just to glance at it. You got to store it inside. You got to hide it in your heart until it rises up in your mouth. Psalm 119:111 says, "Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee." The word stored will be the word spoken, and the word spoken will be the word manifested.
So when fear comes to your home, give it a dose of the word. When strife tries to creep in, give it a dose of the word. When sickness knocks, give it a dose of the word. When lack whispers, give it a dose of the word. The word works. God said, "So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth. It shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it."
Now, let's make this confession together. God's word is medicine to my home. God's word is health to my family. God's word is life to my household. I attend to the word. I incline my ear. I keep it before my eyes. I store it in my heart. The word is working mightily in me and in my house. Glory to God. You are feeding your home with divine medicine. That's how peace, healing, and blessing flow.
Now child of God, once you've taken your medicine, once you've fed on the word, you got to understand why the atmosphere of your home matters. You see, what you allow is what you invite. What you permit is what you promote. That's why Paul wrote in Ephesians 4:27, "Neither give place to the devil." Don't give him any ground. Don't give him a foothold. Don't give him an open door.
Every home carries an atmosphere. Some homes carry peace. Some carry strife. Some carry faith, some carry fear. What atmosphere rules your home? Because whatever you permit in your atmosphere, you empower in your family.
James 3:16 says, "For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work." Did you hear that? Strife is not harmless. Strife is not a little quarrel. Strife is a door. And when that door is open, confusion walks in, and every evil work has permission to follow.
But Colossians 3:15 says, "And let the peace of God rule in your hearts." That word rule means to act as an umpire. Peace calls the shots. Peace decides what stays and what goes. If strife tries to rise, peace says, "Out." If fear tries to whisper, peace says, "No place here."
Now listen, fear is another door. 2 Timothy 1:7 says, "For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind." Fear is a spirit, not a feeling. Fear is an intruder. If you let fear run loose in your house, it will breed torment. But perfect love cast out fear. 1 John 4:18. That means if you'll keep the love of God flowing, fear cannot stay.
And then there are occult doors: books, objects, practices that carry darkness. The Bible says in Acts 19:19, "Many of them also which used curious arts brought their books together, and burned them before all men." They didn't sell them. They didn't pass them down. They burned them. Why? Because those objects carried an atmosphere. Believer, don't decorate your home with darkness. Don't accessorize with bondage. Shut the door.
Say it with me. I shut the door to strife. I shut the door to fear. I shut the door to darkness. I open the door to peace. I open the door to love. I open the door to the word of God.
Friend, atmospheres matter. What you feed grows. What you starve dies. If you starve strife, it will shrivel up. If you feed peace, it will overflow. If you starve fear, it will leave. If you feed faith, it will flourish.
Now, let's declare together. The atmosphere of my house is faith. The atmosphere of my house is peace. The atmosphere of my house is love. The atmosphere of my house is filled with the word. I give no place to the devil. I give every place to Jesus. Glory to God. When you guard the atmosphere of your home, you are guarding the destiny of your family.
Now that we've shut the wrong doors and opened the right ones, let's look at the seat from which we enforce this victory. Authority. You see, authority is not something you earn. It's something you receive. Authority is not a feeling. It is a position. Authority is not based on your weakness. It's based on his strength.
Jesus said in Luke 10:19, "Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you." Now, the Greek word there for power is really authority. He said, "I give you authority." It's like a policeman standing in the road. He doesn't have the muscle to stop an 18-wheeler, but he has authority. That badge represents the whole government behind him. And when he raises his hand, traffic stops. Why? Authority.
Believer, you've got a badge in the spirit. It's called the name of Jesus. And when you speak in that name, all of heaven backs you up. The devil doesn't obey you because of you. He obeys you because of the one you represent. You are seated with him.
Ephesians 2:6 says, "And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus." Where is that? Ephesians 1:21 tells us, "Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named." That's your position. You are seated with Christ far above the devil, far above fear, far above sickness, far above poverty.
Now, don't pray as if you're down here trying to climb up. Pray from up there looking down. Don't beg God to move the devil. Jesus already spoiled principalities and powers and made a show of them openly. Col 2:15. You're not fighting for victory. You're fighting from victory. Glory to God.
Say this with me. I am seated with Christ. I am far above the enemy. I have authority in his name. I tread on serpents and scorpions. Nothing shall by any means hurt me.
Now listen closely. Authority is released through words. Mark 11:23 says, "Whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith." Three times he said, "Say." One time he said, "Believe." That means believing is vital, but speaking is how you enforce it.
Don't beg God to do what he told you to do. Don't ask him to move the mountain. He told you to speak to it. Don't ask him to rebuke the devil. He told you to resist the devil and he will flee from you. James 4:7. Don't ask him to bind the enemy. He said, "Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven." Matt 18:18. Heaven backs your binding. But you got to speak it.
Say it bold. In the name of Jesus, I command every work of darkness to stop. In the name of Jesus, I command fear to leave. In the name of Jesus, I command strife to bow. In the name of Jesus, I command sickness to go. In the name of Jesus, I enforce the victory of the cross.
You see, the devil recognizes authority. He knows he's defeated. But he's counting on you not knowing it. He's counting on you to beg, cry, or run. But when you stand in Christ, seated in heavenly places, speaking his word with boldness, the enemy flees. Glory to God. You are not powerless. You are authorized. You are deputized. You are seated. You are equipped. And you are victorious.
Now, we've seen where we're seated, and we know how to use our authority. But let's deal with the very real entry points the enemy tries to use. You see, Paul said, "Neither give place to the devil." Ep 4:27. If there were no way to give him place, he wouldn't have written that. That means if a believer can refuse him place, a believer can also give him place. So we need to shut the doors.
One, strife and unforgiveness. Mark 11:23-24 gives us the mountain moving power of faith. But don't stop there. Verse 25 says, "And when ye stand praying, forgive if ye have ought against any." Did you hear that? Faith will not work where unforgiveness is present. Strife is not just a disagreement. It's an invitation to confusion and every evil work. James 3:16. Some homes are full of turmoil, not because God is absent, but because strife has been allowed. Shut that door by forgiving quickly. Keep short accounts. Walk in love.
Say it out loud. I refuse strife. I walk in love. I forgive quickly. I give the devil no place.
Two, fear and anxiety. Fear is a spirit, not a personality trait. 2 Timothy 1:7 declares, "For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind." Fear tolerated is faith contaminated. If fear is welcome, torment follows, but perfect love cast it out. 1 John 4:18. Replace fearful words with faith words. Replace anxious imaginations with God's promises. Phil 4:6-7.
Confess. I have a sound mind. I am full of peace. Fear has no place in me.
Three, occult objects and practices. Acts 19:19 says, "Many of them also which used curious arts brought their books together, and burned them before all men." They didn't sell them. They didn't store them in the attic. They burned them. Why? Because those objects carried darkness. If there are items in your house connected with witchcraft, astrology, idolatry, horror, or demonic rituals, remove them. Don't make a shrine out of sin. Shut the door.
Declare, "I renounce every work of darkness. I remove every unclean thing. I dedicate my house to the Lord Jesus Christ."
Fear. Rebellion against God's word. 1st Samuel 15:23 says, "For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft." Rebellion may not look like witchcraft, but God says it is the same in his eyes. When you knowingly resist his word, you open the same door as witchcraft does. Submit to the word. Obey the spirit. Yield to love. That's how you stay free.
Say it now. I am quick to obey. I am yielded to the spirit. I walk in submission to the word of God.
Beloved, these are the main entry points. Strife, fear, occult ties, and rebellion. Shut them and you shut the door to darkness. Shut them and you starve the enemy of access. Shut them and your home becomes a sanctuary.
Lift your hands and say, "No strife in this house, no fear in this house, no darkness in this house, no rebellion in this house. Jesus is Lord over this house." Glory to God. When you shut the doors, you don't just block the enemy. You make room for the Holy Spirit. You create an atmosphere where peace reigns, faith thrives, and God's presence dwells.
Now, we've talked about the doors the devil uses, but let's get real practical. Let's walk through your home together, room by room. The word of God is not just for church pews. It's for living rooms, bedrooms, and kitchens, too. You don't just carry the presence of God into a sanctuary. You carry him into your home.
Psalm 24:7 says, "Lift up your heads, oh ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in." Beloved, your home has gates. Your doors are spiritual openings. What you invite in will shape the atmosphere. So, let's open the doors wide for Jesus and shut them tight against the enemy.
One, the front door threshold. When Israel left Egypt, the blood was placed on the doorpost. Exod 12:7. The threshold marks covenant protection. Stand at your front door and declare Jesus is Lord over this house. The blood of the lamb covers this threshold. No evil shall enter here. For it is written, "There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling." Psalm 91:10.
Say it out loud. My house belongs to Jesus. The enemy cannot cross this threshold.
Two, the living room, family space. This is where conversations happen. This is where atmospheres are built. Ephesians 4:29 says, "Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying." Dedicate your living room to words of grace. Lay your hand on the furniture if you have to, and declare, "No gossip, no strife, no corruption, only love, joy, and edification fill this room."
Confess. Our words build. They don't tear down. Our conversations bring life, not death.
Three, bedrooms. Psalm 4:8 says, "I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, Lord, only makest me dwell in safety." Bedrooms are meant to be places of rest, not torment. If nightmares, night terrors, or fear have tried to invade, stand in that room and speak peace. Place your hand on the bed and declare the peace of God rules here. Angels encamp here. Fear cannot stay here.
Confess. I sleep in peace. I wake in strength. My dreams are covered by the spirit of God.
Four, children's room. Isaiah 54:13 says, "And all thy children shall be taught of the Lord; and great shall be the peace of thy children." Lay hands on their beds, their toys, their books, and declare the word. My children are taught of the Lord. Great is their peace. They are blessed, strong, and kept by God. Don't just pray silently. Let your children hear you. Speak the word over them. Their faith is built by your words.
Say it. My children are safe. My children are taught of the Lord. My children walk in peace.
Five, workspaces, devices. Deuteronomy 8:18 says, "But thou shalt remember the Lord thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth." Dedicate your workspaces, your desk, your computers, even your phones to God. Speak over them. These tools will serve the kingdom. No corruption, no distraction, no defilement will flow through them. Only productivity, creativity, and blessing will flow.
Confess. My work is dedicated to the Lord. My income is blessed. My hands prosper in Jesus' name.
Six, kitchen dining area. Acts 2:46 says, "And breaking bread from house to house did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart." Dedicate your meals to fellowship and gratitude. Pray over your kitchen. This is a place of provision and thanksgiving. No complaining, no cursing, only blessing and gratitude flow here.
Say it. Our table is blessed. Our food is sanctified. Our fellowship is full of joy.
Glory to God. Can you see it? Every room in your home can carry the fragrance of Jesus. Every threshold can be marked by the blood. Every conversation can be filled with grace. Every child can be surrounded by peace. Every workspace can be productive for the kingdom. Every meal can be sanctified with thanksgiving.
Lift your hands and say with me, Jesus is Lord over my house. Every room is filled with his peace. Every corner is marked by his presence. This home is a sanctuary of the spirit of God. Hallelujah. Your home is now not just where you live. It's where God dwells.
Now listen. After you've walked through your house, after you've claimed every room, you must set the soundtrack. Why? Because the atmosphere of your home will always follow the words of your mouth. Proverbs 18:21 says, "Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof." Did you hear that? Your home will eat the fruit of your words. If your words are bitter, your home will be bitter. If your words are fearful, your home will carry fear. But if your words are filled with faith, your home will echo faith. If your words are filled with love, your home will overflow with peace.
Hebrews 10:23 says, "Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; for he is faithful that promised." That word profession means confession. Hold fast to your confession. Don't drop it when you're tired. Don't change it when you're upset. Don't cancel it when you're frustrated. Hold fast to it.
Now, the devil wants your tongue because your tongue is the rudder of your life. James 3:4 says, "Just like a small rudder steers a big ship, your tongue steers the whole course of your home." You can have a beautiful house, but if your tongue is filled with strife, it will sink. You can have a humble apartment, but if your tongue is filled with faith, it will shine with glory.
So what do we do? We set a new soundtrack. Instead of saying, "This house is always full of trouble," you say, "This house is full of peace." Instead of saying, "We never have enough," you say, "The Lord is my shepherd. I shall not want." Psalm 23:1. Instead of saying, "The kids are driving me crazy," you say, "My children are taught of the Lord, and great is their peace." Isa 54:13. Instead of saying, "We're always sick," you say, "By his stripes we're healed." Isa 53:5.
Let's do it together. Set a new soundtrack right now. Jesus is Lord over this house. The peace of God rules here. We are supplied, not in lack. We are healed, not sick. We are blessed, not cursed. We are strong in the Lord and in the power of his might. Eph 6:10. Glory to God. Can you feel it? As you speak it, the atmosphere changes. As you declare it, the power of God is released. Angels respond to the word. Demons flee at the word. Your children hear it and faith rises in them. Your walls hear it and the presence of God fills them.
Beloved, the tongue governs the house. If you don't like the atmosphere in your home, change your words. Speak life. Speak peace. Speak health. Speak provision. And don't let your soundtrack stop. Let it play daily, morning, noon, and night.
Now, child of God, once you've set the soundtrack with your words, you've got to flood the house with praise. Why? Because God himself said in Psalm 22:3, "But thou art holy, oh thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel." Did you hear that? God doesn't just hear praise. He inhabits it. He moves in. He sets up his dwelling right there in the middle of your song.
When Paul and Silas were beaten, chained, and locked in the inner prison, Acts 16:25 says, "And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them." Glory to God. They didn't whisper. They didn't complain. They lifted praise so loud that others heard. And what happened? The jail shook. The doors flew open. The chains fell off. Praise broke the power of the enemy and brought the presence of God.
Now the Bible says in Isaiah 26:3, "Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee." Peace is not a feeling you chase; it is a person you host. And how do you host him? With praise and thanksgiving. Philippians 4:6-7 says, "Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus."
Thanksgiving brings peace. Complaining opens the door to strife. Murmuring opens the door to fear, but thanksgiving slams the door on the enemy and ushers peace into the house. Say it out loud. My home is filled with praise. My atmosphere is filled with thanksgiving. God himself inhabits my praise. And his peace rules in this house.
Now, don't wait until you feel like it. Start right in the middle of the trial. Paul and Silas didn't wait for dawn. They praised at midnight. Midnight is the darkest hour, but it is also the turning point. If you'll praise at midnight, God will shake the prison of your situation. So lift your hands right where you are. Say, "Lord, I praise you. I thank you for your goodness. I magnify Jesus in this house." Peace rules here. Praise fills here. God inhabits here. Glory to God. Praise is the atmosphere heaven inhabits. Peace is the fruit that fills your home. When praise is the root.
Now listen closely because this is vital. You can cleanse your house with the word. You can set the atmosphere with praise, but if you don't deal with forgiveness, the pipeline of blessing will clog. Jesus himself tied faith, prayer, and forgiveness together. Mark 11:23-24 gives us the mountain moving promise: "Whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them."
But don't stop there. Verse 25 says, "And when ye stand praying, forgive if ye have ought against any, that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses." Did you hear that? Faith will not work where unforgiveness is present. Prayer will not flow when bitterness blocks the line. Unforgiveness is spiritual poison. It is the devil's wedge. It is the clog in the pipe. You cannot hold grudges in your heart and expect the blessing of heaven to flow freely.
Jesus didn't say try to forgive if you feel like it. He said forgive. Forgiveness is not a feeling. It is a decision, a faith act, an obedience step. Ephesians 4:31-32 says, "Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you with all malice: And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you." Did you notice the pattern? You forgive as God forgave you. How did he forgive you? Fully, freely, without holding back.
Say it with me right now. I choose to forgive. I release every offense. I refuse bitterness. I refuse strife. I walk in love even as Christ has loved me. Glory to God. As you say that, the clog is removed. The flow of faith is released. The pipeline of blessing is open. Healing flows. Peace flows. Provision flows. Why? Because forgiveness first unclogs the pipeline.
Lift your hands and declare. Nothing blocks my faith. Nothing clogs my prayers. I forgive. I release. I love. I bless. The pipeline of blessing is wide open in my life and in my house. Hallelujah. Now the word works unhindered. Praise flows unhindered. Peace rules unhindered because forgiveness first keeps the line clear.
Now that the pipeline is clear, let's enforce our authority together. The word says in James 4:7, "Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you." Did you notice it didn't say he might flee or he sometimes flees? It said he will flee. But you've got to resist. You've got to stand.
Revelation 12:11 says, "And they overcame him by the blood of the lamb and by the word of their testimony." Two weapons: blood and word. Jesus shed his blood. You must speak his word. Authority is enforced through your mouth. So right now, we're going to renounce every foothold of darkness and declare the word of victory together. I'll lead, you repeat. Let it ring out in your home. Let it echo in every room. Say this boldly.
In the name of Jesus, I renounce every work of darkness. I break every tide of fear, strife, and bondage. I command every unclean influence to leave my home. Satan, you have no place here. You have no power here. You have no rights here. I resist you and you must flee.
Now declare the positive side of your authority. The blood of Jesus covers this house. The word of God rules this house. The peace of God fills this house. Angels of God guard this house. The spirit of God dwells in this house. Hallelujah. That's not begging. That's enforcing. That's not pleading. That's decreeing.
Job 22:28 says, "Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways." Beloved, you don't beg the devil to leave. You command him. You don't ask fear to go. You resist it. You don't wish strife away. You shut the door on it with your words. Authority is not quiet. Authority is not timid. Authority speaks.
Say it again. I am in Christ. I am seated with him. I tread on serpents and scorpions. I resist the devil and he flees. My house is covered. My family is protected. And Jesus is Lord here. Glory to God. That's how you cleanse a home. Not by ritual, but by authority. Not by superstition, but by scripture. Not by fear, but by faith.
Now listen carefully. Victory is not maintained by a one-time shout. It is maintained by daily discipline. Faith is not a moment. It's a lifestyle. That's why we must establish what I call a daily rule of faith for our homes. Just 7 minutes a day can set the course of your household.
Joshua 1:8 says, "This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth, but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success." Notice day and night, not just when you feel like it, not just when trouble hits. Consistency is the key.
Here's a simple seven-minute pattern you can start today.
Minute one, read a psalm or a proverb aloud. Psalm 91 for protection. Psalm 27 for confidence. Proverbs for wisdom. Remember, faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of God. Rom 10:17. Let your ears hear your mouth.
Minute two, make three confessions of faith. Hebrews 10:23 says, "Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering." Confess boldly: "The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want." Psalm 23:1. "By his stripes I am healed." 1 Pet 2:24. "No weapon formed against me shall prosper." Isa 54:17.
Minute three, lift your voice in thanksgiving. Sing a chorus. Say, "Thank you, Lord." Psalm 100:4 says, "Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise." This changes the atmosphere immediately.
Minute five, short prayer of intercession. Pray for your family, your church, your city. 1 Timothy 2:1 says, "I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men." Keep it focused. Pray the word.
Minute six, listen quietly. Incline your ear. Let Colossians 3:15 guide you. "Let the peace of God rule in your hearts." Pause. Be still. Let his spirit impress something on you.
Minute seven, seal the day with a declaration. Say, "This is the day the Lord has made. I rejoice and I am glad in it. Jesus is Lord over this house and we will serve the Lord." Josh 24:15.
Glory to God. In just 7 minutes, you've filled your home with the word, with confession, with praise, with prayer, with peace, and with declaration. That's not wasted time. It's seed time. It will bear fruit.
Say it with me. I give the word first place. I hold fast my confession. I fill my house with praise. I intercede for others. I hear the spirit's voice. I declare victory daily. That's how you keep your home aligned. That's how you keep the doors shut to darkness and open to light.
Now listen. When you've set your home in order with the word, with confession, with praise, with forgiveness, with authority, don't stop there. You must also open the flow of blessing. How? By giving and hospitality.
2 Corinthians 9:6-8 says, "But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully. Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work." Glory to God.
Giving keeps the flow open. When you hold back, the flow clogs. When you release, the blessing multiplies. Remember Luke 6:38. "Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom."
But giving is not just about money. Hebrews 13:2 says, "Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares." Hospitality is also part of the flow. When you open your door to bless others, you open your door for God to bless you. A stingy house is a small house, but a generous house is a big house in the spirit.
Acts 2:46-47 describes the early church: "And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart, praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved." Did you catch it? Their homes were not just dwellings. They were distribution centers of blessing. And because of that, the Lord added to them daily.
Say this with me. My home is a house of giving. My home is a house of hospitality. My home is a channel of blessing, not a container of greed. I give and it is given unto me. I sow generously and I reap abundantly. Glory to God. When you give, you participate in God's flow. When you open your door in love, you open heaven's windows over your house. Your home becomes not just a refuge for you but a blessing for others.
Now child of God, after giving and blessing, there's another powerful act you can bring into your home. Communion. Communion is not just for Sunday morning in the church building. Communion belongs to every believer, every home, every family. Why? Because it's a covenant meal. It's a covenant seal. It's a reminder that Jesus paid it all and gave us all.
Paul said in 1 Corinthians 11:23-26, "The Lord Jesus the same night in which he was betrayed took bread: And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken for you: this do in remembrance of me. After the same manner also he took the cup, when he had supped, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood: this do ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me. For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord's death till he come." Did you catch that? As often. Not once a year, not once a quarter. As often.
Communion is your covenant right as a believer. And it reminds your household that Jesus is Lord here. When Israel left Egypt, the lamb was slain, the blood was applied, and the people ate the meal in their homes. Ex 12. That meal meant deliverance. That meal meant protection. That meal meant covenant covering. And today when you take communion in your home, you are declaring the blood has been applied. The lamb has been slain. Death has passed over. We are a covenant family.
So take the bread and declare, "By his stripes we are healed." 1 Pet 2:24. Take the cup and declare, "We overcome by the blood of the lamb." Rev 12:11. Seal your home with covenant. Then commission your household.
Joshua 24:15 says, "As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord." Speak it over your family. Declare it over your threshold. Commission your children. Charge your house. Say it with me. This house belongs to the Lord. This house is covered by the blood. This house is healed, protected, and provided for. This house serves the Lord Jesus Christ. Glory to God. Communion seals it. Commissioning enforces it. The covenant meal and the covenant confession make your home a covenant stronghold.
Now we come to the final seal, the canopy prayer over your home. Beloved, just as the priest in the Old Testament lifted his hands and spoke the blessing of God over Israel, we're going to lift a canopy of faith, a shield of words over your household. Numbers 6:24-26 says, "The Lord bless thee, and keep thee: The Lord make his face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The Lord lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace." That's God's canopy blessing.
Let's declare it now. Pray this with me. The Lord blesses this house and keeps it. The Lord's face shines upon this family. The Lord lifts his countenance upon us. The Lord gives us peace.
Psalm 91:11 says, "For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways." Angels are on assignment in your home. Speak it now. Angels guard this house. Angels keep this family. Angels surround us with protection.
Colossians 3:15 says, "Let the peace of God rule in your hearts." Confess it daily. Peace rules here. Fear cannot stay here. Strife cannot live here. The peace of God is the umpire of this house.
Now, let's finish with a strong daily confession. Say it with me. Jesus is Lord over this house. The word of God governs this house. The peace of God fills this house. The blood of Jesus covers this house. The angels of God guard this house. As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord. Josh 24:15. Hallelujah. That's your canopy. That's your charge. That's your daily confession. When you say it daily, you enforce victory daily. When you declare it, you establish it. When you speak it, you secure it. Glory to God.
The house is cleansed. The doors are shut. The atmosphere is set. The covenant is sealed. And the blessing is declared. From this day forward, your home is a sanctuary of peace, a dwelling of faith, and a fortress of victory.
