So, when someone comes to you, this is how you can help people the best. The first thing that's really important is you ask an open-ended question. You don't assume what's going on. You just say to them, "What's on your mind?" And then they'll start talking. Don't use emotional energy. Don't use cognitive energy. Just listen. Just listen. Be there.

Then after they finish talking, they come to a natural pause. You go, "Oh, cool. What else?" And they keep talking. Keep talking. Keep talking. Yeah, cool. And then you keep going and you go, "Oh, tell me more." Third question. Now you get them to think about everything that they just said and you go, "What's the real problem here?" You've used no cognitive capacity at this point and you make them distill what they think the big problem is. And it's fascinating when you do this with them. They go, "Ah, you know what? Yeah, yeah, I know what it is. Problem B." You go, "Oh, cool."

Number four, you go, "This is the best part." You go, "How can I help?" So, you don't even come up with a way you can help. They have to think of it. Now, the beautiful thing about this model is you're teaching people to think for themselves.
