So, how do you live a long life? You need to keep your cardiovascular system clean. In other words, the heart and those arteries must be healthy, and that's what I'm going to share with you today. If you have heart disease, clogging of the arteries, high blood pressure, or any other condition interrelated to the cardiovascular system, this video is definitely going to help you tremendously.
I want you to know what extra virgin olive oil can do for your heart and arteries. Extra virgin olive oil contains various antioxidants, such as polyphenols and vitamin E. These antioxidants will help protect your cells from oxidative damage caused by free radicals by reducing inflammation within those blood vessels and heart. Extra virgin olive oil will lower your bad cholesterol as well as help raise your good cholesterol. It will help reduce those triglycerides to prevent plaque within those arteries. The polyphenols in olive oil help relax the blood vessels, improving blood flow and reducing hypertension, as well as helping the flexibility of the inner lining of those blood vessels.
Chia seeds are filled with omega-3 fatty acids, those essential fats that have been linked to reducing heart disease inflammation, as well as supporting brain function. Chia seeds are filled with soluble and insoluble fiber, but the soluble fiber doesn't get digested in our gut because we don't have the enzymes. It makes its way to the large intestine, where that soluble fiber works like a prebiotic, feeding the probiotics. Short-chain fatty acids are given off, particularly butyrate. Butyrate is one of the greatest anti-inflammatories within our body; it helps protect the colonocytes and reduces inflammation throughout our body, as well as in our blood vessels and heart.
Chia seeds will make you more insulin sensitive and less insulin resistant. They will balance out your insulin and glucose levels, providing you with lots of satiety so you won't overeat, leaving you with plenty of energy. Cayenne pepper has amazing heart and artery benefits; it will reduce cholesterol levels as well as prevent the buildup of plaque in the arteries, reducing the risk of heart disease and atherosclerosis. It has natural blood-thinning properties, which help prevent the formation of blood clots. The capsaicin in cayenne pepper has medicinal healing properties, preventing plaque and causing the blood to be thinner with less stickiness, so plaque doesn't occur within the inner lining of the arteries.
There's no question: if you're trying to lose weight, cayenne pepper will definitely speed up your metabolic rate and increase thermogenesis. What's exciting about cayenne pepper is that it helps secrete nitric oxide within the blood vessels, causing vasodilation, which opens up the blood vessels, taking stress off the heart and lowering your blood pressure so your body can get better circulation.
Let me share with you the three ingredients; these are powerful. Chia seeds do wonderful things for your cardiovascular system. Remember that these seeds, when absorbed with fluid, can absorb up to 12 times their weight and swell. Here is extra virgin olive oil, as well as cayenne pepper.
So, here's what you need to do: get a little shot glass or a small glass. You can put one to two teaspoons of chia seeds in there and about an ounce or two of extra virgin olive oil. Remember, 1 ounce is 2 tablespoons, so about an ounce (2 tablespoons) is fair. Now, I want you to look at this right here: this oil, this extra virgin olive oil, and these chia seeds are going to start to swell. They're going to get bigger and bigger.
Now, when you pour this in, let it sit for a good 10 to 15 minutes and stir it up because you'll see that those chia seeds, that one teaspoon, will look like two or three teaspoons because they're going to swell. That's what's going to go in your stomach, and that's where you're going to get all that magical work that will occur within your health and your blood vessels.
The key thing is, if you can handle it, I would recommend taking a little splash or dash of cayenne pepper—one or two dashes. Because the chia seeds, the extra virgin olive oil, and the cayenne pepper working synergistically together do amazing things for our cardiovascular system. If the cayenne pepper is too spicy for you, maybe just a half a dash. If you cannot use cayenne pepper, just use the chia seeds and the extra virgin olive oil.
After just a few minutes, I can see these chia seeds starting to swell. Some will stand at the bottom, and some will start to float up to the top. I like to keep stirring it. You can put this in your smoothies, in your yogurts, in your baked goods, or over your oatmeal—wherever you like. What I do is I just shoot it right before my meal, and what that's going to do is make me feel full after about five minutes or so, so I won't eat as much. This will get right to work in your digestive system.
Besides your heart and your arteries, this will make you regular because this olive oil is going to do wonderful things with peristalsis of the intestines. So, if you are constipated, gassy, bloated, or swollen, retaining a lot of fluid, I challenge you—you will be amazed.
You can drink this first thing in the morning, preferably right before a meal, as well as later on in the day. I recommend you start out with just one shot of this and see how you react. This is going to give you so much satiety. You're going to see tremendous changes in lowering your blood pressure, better circulation, more energy, and a better balance of glucose and insulin. Your digestion is going to improve, and you're going to have less inflammation.
If you're having joint problems or any inflammatory issues, or any systemic or immune problems, it's all about inflammation. If we can reduce that inflammation, it's going to help heal you, and you're going to feel better. I want you to know that this little shot glass is filled with something that can make all the difference when it comes to your health, happiness, energy, sleep, digestion, cardiovascular system, and the list goes on.
I only wish you good health. Please share this with your friends and family, leave your comments below, and most importantly, make it a great day. I'm Dr. Alan Mandelle.
