The NEW Rules of Getting Clients on LinkedIn

So, the rules of LinkedIn have changed. New features, a new algorithm, and of course, AI. And yet, we've totally transformed our approach to make just under $400,000 in only the first few months of this year. And in this video, I'm going to show you this simple client acquisition system that you can implement yourself in the next few minutes.

But before we jump in, we first have to understand the fundamental change in the way that people are buying on LinkedIn. And it's for the same reason that Amazon, Google, and Microsoft are cutting their sales team numbers. And when I reveal the answer in a moment, you'll realize you already know and experience it in your daily life.

So what's the answer? Well, think about how you buy a service, a product, or anything, be it insurance, software, or a car now compared to two years ago or more. Do you feel more or less empowered to get the information you need about that product or service before you go on a sales call? Of course, you're way more empowered because there's so much more information available to us. And market research companies agree. And that's why it's getting harder and harder to get in front of decision makers. People no longer need the sales call.

So if the decision is made before the call, where should we focus our time and energy instead? Well, I thought to myself, if a sales call is too high commitment, then maybe I should try a low commitment, like a lead magnet, you know what I mean? Checklists and all these things you see in the feed. And I did, and very few people wanted it. And the ones that did, none of them turned into buyers. And let's face it, how often have you, here watching this video, downloaded something and then forgotten about it? And why would you need more information when you can just fire up Claude or Chat GPT and get access to almost the entire knowledge of humanity? So, it didn't work.

And then I thought about how real estate agents sell houses. They don't just send a PDF and expect you to buy a million-dollar house. Instead, they offer you no-pressure viewings so you can experience the space and at the same time get a feel for it. And I figured out how to create that house viewing dynamic on LinkedIn in a way in which you can get the attention of over 500 people right now today on this video. But before we do that, we first need to understand what to say to them.

And the best way to illustrate this is how I hired a weight loss coach. Because yes, I had a bit of a dad bod and there were lots of choices and many coaches and fitness experts. They tried to get my attention by talking me through diet plans and exercise protocols. But I don't know about you, I'm not sold by somebody telling me I have to eat green soup for three months whilst running around in the dark and cold. No thank you.

But then one of them presented what they do in a different way. They said, "Look, Mark, think back to when you were 20. Did you have a favorite pair of jeans you always used to live in and party in?" I did. And then they said to me, "How would you feel if you could fit in those jeans again and rock them in the country club with your friends and fellow entrepreneurs?" And all of a sudden, I was visualizing how I would look and feel. I was taking on the identity of a younger man again instead of doing press-ups in the dark while eating that soup. This person understood the most important thing about sales and marketing. Nobody's interested in the pieces of the offer. They just want the prize.

And so, here's how to create that same identity-focused experience on LinkedIn without needing a sales call or loads of one-on-one messages. But we're going to get a load of responses with this tactic. So, we need to understand how to deal with this volume of responses because LinkedIn, the inbox in and of itself, it's absolutely useless. And before I started doing this, I'd waste my time chasing dead leads. I'd miss opportunities all because of the spam filling my inbox. I didn't know where to focus. It felt overwhelming.

So what do you do? Well, think of it like a set of traffic lights. Red, we don't know if the person's worth spending time with. Amber, they showed some interest. And green, we have qualified them to be a potential client. And at the beginning of every single day, most of the time, we should focus on the green prospects. And this, by the way, is sometimes called pipeline management. And I set it up in this app here on screen. And loads of the top entrepreneurs on LinkedIn use it. And I negotiated a month free. And I myself use it. Check out the link below.

And now you're ready for the house viewing system where you get people in a safe environment without needing a sales call that you can do today. So what is this environment and how do you get responses right now today? Well, you could go one by one on LinkedIn and send everybody a message, but you're working 10 times harder than you need to. There's actually a way to get hundreds of these ideal prospects to raise their hand and say, "Yes, I'm interested." All at the same time, just like you see on screen, and you can download the processed documents below, by the way.

But this is only going to work if you pull together a title for this event that speaks to status, identity, and solves a problem like we spoke about earlier. And a good one is an example of one that's working right now is on screen. And if you want to save time and access my GPT so that you can pull a title that works for your market and your niche, download it below. And don't forget about this app to manage your messages because you see so many of these responses coming. Thank you for watching.
