Hi, my name is Trina Olsen. I am super excited to share with you how a word of knowledge from God can transform a life. And they can encounter the one true Living God, accepting him into their heart, and even getting baptized in the Holy Spirit. That's what it's all about, is seeing people encounter God, encounter his goodness.
A word of knowledge, in Isaiah 55:10, it talks about it here a little bit. "As the rain and the snow come down from heaven and do not return to it without watering the Earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater, so is my word that goes out from my mouth. It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it." Oh, my, yes! Like it's one of the gifts of the Holy Spirit, and God loves using it. I love to flow in it. It is amazing. It's for all of us. It's part of just being able to prophesy and hear God's voice for yourself and for others, and it unlocks chains. I've seen so many people come to know Jesus through just a word of knowledge.
When I was in another country a few years ago, I got to see this amazing young man's life changed in an instant. And as I saw God moving through some guys, this guy approaches him. And I knew that it was a drug deal. And the guy waved him off because they were experiencing the presence of God. And so they waved him off, and this guy started to take off. So me and my translator chased him down, nicely. And so when we approached him, I had no idea what I was going to say. I just knew that I knew that it was God to touch his life. And so as we approached him, I said, "Hey, sir, I said, I just wanted to share with you. I feel like God said that he took a bullet for you and he saved your life." And he's like, "Whoa!" Like it was almost like time stood still in that moment. And as I shared that word, he pulls his shirt across, and he shows me where the bullet entered and where the bullet exited on his back. It never touched an artery. It never affected any organs in his body. And he knew that he knew that God saved his life that day.
And so I shared with him that, and I also heard God say, "Draw a line in the sand and invite him onto my team." So I drew a line in the sand and I said, "Hey, God wants you to be on his team today. He loves you that much that he sent me here from Pennsylvania just to share with you that word and to tell you how much he loves you and that he's saved your life and he has a purpose for your life." And so he finally steps across that line. He accepts Jesus into his heart. We get to pray for the baptism of Holy Spirit right in the middle of the street. And this is one of the worst streets in that nation, and even in Central America, that a lot of homicides happen in this area. And so this young man accepts Jesus, he gets baptized in the Holy Spirit, and he experiences the presence of God. His life is starting to transform. It was amazing. So, like, just a word of knowledge can lead someone into an encounter that can lead them to Christ and even get baptized in the Holy Spirit.
So this was amazing. I was in an inner city in America a few years ago. And so we were seeing God show up on this street. It was a really, really rough area. And as we started seeing God show up, the boldness, the confidence, and the courage rose like immensely. And so I had this crazy boldness and I leaped up on this porch there, about two or three steps. And there was a board across the porch and there was two pit bulls on the backside. And I had no fear. I just knew that God wanted to touch the people in this house. And I heard it was a drug house. And so I pointed my finger, probably wasn't wisdom, but I just saw my hand go, "Hey, sir, you have a shoulder issue." And he's like, "How do you know?" And I said, and it's, I think it was the right shoulder, I apologize for that, but I'm like, "It's your right shoulder." And he's like, "How do you know?" And I said, "Because God sent me here from Pennsylvania today to see your shoulder get healed. He loves you that much that he wants to take your pain away." And so we literally saw God completely take his pain away, and he's like moving his shoulder all over, like no pain.
And so I give him another word, and some prophetic, you know, started to come out. And my friend, we tag-teamed, you know, one, two, you know, knocking the enemy down, not the people, and we get to bring the people up, and we get to speak life unto them through these words of knowledge and through the prophetic. And so as we're speaking life into them, my friend says, "How long has it been since you had a dream to own your own automobile auto body shop?" And he's like, really, really scared, like he's scared of us, and this is his territory. And he runs all the way down the other end of the porch. And in the process, I go to the next lady and I said, "How long has it been since you injured your back?" And she gets her back healed. And the next girl, my friend says, "Hey, how long has it been since you injured your ankle and you can't run anymore?" And the girl starts to cry. And it was just a beautiful, beautiful mess. And so one after another, it's like a love Uzi going down this porch in this inner city, really rough area.
And we get down to this guy, and he saw God touch every one of his friends. And he says, "How do you know that dream? All these people are my friends, and none of them know that dream. How do you know it?" And we shared with him, "It's a word from God that doesn't return void. He loves you that much." And we came to encourage you to continue to go after that dream. And so we got to pray off of him PTSD, post-traumatic stress syndrome, and we got to pray off of him anger. And it opened up a door to go across the street. So we went across the street where our friends hadn't been able to minister yet. And so as we go across the street, we get invited. And there's these two young men up on the porch. And this one guy, this is a priceless moment for all of it, all day. Like I would love to, like this is what I want to encounter on my gravestone someday. And he looks up at me as I'm speaking life into him about words of knowledge and the prophetic. And he said, "I want to know this God." You know, I'd love that. Like it led him into an encounter that he wanted to know this God that I know. He wanted to know this God that I represent. That's what a word of knowledge does. It's leading them into an encounter that leads them to Christ.
And so as I'm talking to him, I said, "You accepted him a few years ago, but they forgot to give you the power to walk out your salvation. Can I pray for the baptism of Holy Spirit?" And he's like, "Yes." And so I pray for the baptism of Holy Spirit, and God showed up and touched this young man on his porch in the middle of a really rough neighborhood where they really need to see God show up and show off. It was such an incredible moment.
And I want to share one more opportunity that God gave me. I was in another country, and this is how powerful words of knowledge are. There is no distance in time or spirit. There is no nothing that can stand in the way of a word of knowledge from God. No religion, no gender, no issue, no government, nothing. I am, I am serious. So we were in Africa, and in one of the nations in the country, in the continent of Africa. And as we're ministering, we're walking down through the little villages, and we're giving words of knowledge, and seeing Muslims come to know Christ. And we get to see people get healed left and right. So Muhammad can't heal like this, and they know that they know that this is real when that their pain leaves. A lot of times they accept Jesus, and it affects their entire family, if not their entire community, because people know these people and they know the problems that they had.
And so this young man was riding his bicycle. I heard that he was training to become an Imam, which is a Muslim head of the Muslim culture. And so I said, "Hey, he's got a back problem. Is his lower back?" And they all but throw him off his bike. I'm like, "You're going to cause him to have a back problem if he didn't already have one. I'm like, be gentle, guys, be gentle." And so as they stopped him on his bike, we, he said, "Yes, he had a back problem." He gets his back completely healed. And we introduced him to Jesus. But the awesome thing is, is a few months later, I get a message from my friend and find out that this young man is now in the bush in Africa serving God. Jesus Christ is his Lord and Savior, and he's running full throttle, on fire for God, because I got a word of knowledge for a back issue, and I stepped out in boldness and asked him if I could pray for him. And God showed up and showed up and showed off in a great and mighty way.
That's how powerful a word of knowledge is. It cuts to the chase. It builds your faith to know that you heard God, and it's something that you shouldn't know about that person, and you know that you know that God is about ready to move mightily and powerfully. And it builds your faith in such an incredible way. God bless you.
